Hi Justiyaya (talk · contribs). Thank you for the kind words. When I participate AfDs, I find a lot of the sources through databases available through Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Library as well as other databases I have access to. When searching for sources for AfD, the resources I find most useful are EBSCO, Gale (Wikipedia:Gale), ProQuest, and Wikipedia:Newspapers.com, and to a much lesser extent Wikipedia:Newspaperarchive.com. I also have access to NewsBank which The Wikipedia Library is missing. NewsBank frequently has sources that the other databases don't have (and vice versa). Comment: LibStar (talk · contribs), Justiyaya (talk · contribs), Piscili (talk · contribs), and Chiselinccc (talk · contribs), I found some sources about this hotel. Most of the sources call the hotel "Lu Song Yuan Hotel" rather than "Lusongyuan Hotel", which may be why sources were hard to find. The hotel may have been the residence of the Qing general Sengge Rinchen (if the South China Morning Post quote "General Zeng Ge Ling Qin, one-time defence minister" refers to him). Hi Cunard (talk · contribs), thanks for this research and the ping! As this is one of the first AfDs I've participated in, and I'm doing so in part so I can observe discussions and learn more about evaluating RSes, I am probably not a good person to judge these, so I will eagerly await input from our other peers you've tagged.

That being said, these *look* like decently significant coverage to my "newbie" eyes, and particularly your find about the Qing general! Looking forward to see what others think, if they concur with your assessment I'd love to help you in patching these sources in to build article content from them. List of the United States National Park System official units[edit]

Wikipedia already has a well-made and featured list at List of areas in the United States National Park System for units in the National Park Service. Much of the text from this list proposed for deletion is copied verbatim in the featured list linked. Thus, this list should be deleted as WP:REDUNDANTFORK. Keep While similar to the list of areas, this list only includes the official units, excluding former sites, redesignated sites, certain combination sites, affiliated areas, authorized sites, non-unit rivers, non-unit parkways, non-unit trails, cemetaries, and groupings of sites. It also has the benefit of listing all units in a single list to allow for full alphabetical sorting and sorting by state. I wish to consider your point, but the list proposed for deletion does not have almost anything you mentioned, including: former sites, redesignated sites, affiliated areas, authorized sites, or cemeteries. Right, the official unit list isn't supposed to have any of those because they're not the same list. This is not an inferior list, it's a complementary list that only has the official units presented together, without the areas that are not units. What if I don't desire to see all of that? We can't have a different list for every potential way to sort a list of items. Even if I were to agree with you, this list is just a directory that repeats any given excel sheet you can acquire from the park service. It is unnecessary to main the accuracy of two separate lists, one of which provides no information other than a state (even the type of unit is not sortable). Also, the list is far too long to read--there are over 400 units. It is ineffective other than to serve as a stand-in for an excel sheet when the featured list provides a digestible series of information. Zkidwiki (talk) 19:36, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Keep: The list is extremely useful for those that want to see the entire list of NPS official units uninterrupted by descriptions of the types of units, former units, etc. It's not too long to read for those that are, for lack of a better term, fans of the NPS. Delete National_Park_Service#Nomenclature already has this information, and the fold out templates link to the various list articles that have things in them. Wikilover3509 (talk · contribs) attempted to start a second nomination for this article, but wound up adding it on to the the first nomination. Their rationale follows:

Fails to meet WP:GNG. Even the website of the promoter Zircon International which is included as an external link draws a blank.

This article did survive that prior AfD from 2010 (and a contested PROD before that), but both of the "keeps" from then warned that the article needed to be significantly improved to avoid renomination. It has since been tagged as a potential WP:CORP failure—which might be the more relevant guideline here—since 2019. Ledo Hotel[edit]

Article about a demolished hotel, not properly sourced as passing inclusion criteria. The referencing here is more than 50 per cent reference bombed to primary sources that aren't support for notability at all, such as photographs and directory entries and the self-published websites or Twitter feeds of entities named in the article. And even what there is for proper media coverage isn't building a particularly strong case for notability, as it's entirely local coverage either (a) focusing specifically on the site's place in the city's perennially changing arena-block redevelopment project rather than anything that would establish that it was ever actually noteworthy as a hotel, or (b) tangentially verifying other facts that have nothing whatsoever to do with the hotel, like the existence of the McEwen Architecture School and the farmer's market.
Nothing here is "inherently" notable enough to exempt this hotel from having to have a stronger notability claim than just having existed, or from having to have more than just "what is to be done to redevelop the land it used to be on?" for coverage. Bearcat (talk) 17:11, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment - The nominator is mistaken about the source. The information is not sourced from, or claimed to be sourced from the Nav Canada Wikipedia article, but rather the Canada Water Aerodrome Supplement. Redirect. This is a 2005 article created when Wikipedia was much smaller, articles like this were welcomed, and notability was perhaps a bit looser. However, there was never any ideas as to the fate of abandoned aerodrome articles. Some have been redirected to "List of airports in province", others to List of defunct airports in Canada, and others still remain. The only thing this aerodrome has going for it in terms of notability is that there was a death associated with it. Doesn't really make it notable. As per the others the source is the printed, water, version of the Canada Flight Supplement. I owned copies but haven't bought one in a few years.
