The result of the discussion was: No consensus to take any specific action, which means the non-free status remains. * Pppery * it has begun... 19:07, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The rationale said that the image was created using a computer algorithm, but images generated by a computer algorithm are ineligible for copyright because it does not contain sufficient human authorship to support a copyright claim, unless it was made in the UK or Hong Kong. • Status quo, do nothing. As far as I can tell, these were procedurally generated using components that were hand sprited by an artist. That's hardly what I would call AI generated. -Fastily 09:23, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The copyrightable thing is only its code to generate these images. CryptoPunks#Concept also said that:
    • Each one was algorithmically generated through computer code and thus no two characters are exactly alike, with some traits being rarer than others.
Per the statement above, its result is not copyrightable, only its code. Moreover, most traits also have simple shapes forming a punk. Kys5g talk! 02:34, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'm talking about the source sprites which are presumably non-free. At best, these are derivatives of non-free content -Fastily 05:08, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
When nominating, I was confused, but reading the author blanket, it said as None; created by algorithm. Which means: No one claims copyright and as "holder" and control rights over it. Also, these traits are unique to each other, not based on any non-free originals. The source page is in Portuguese, and there isn't any copyright disclaimers on the footer. WP:NFCC#8: Contextual significance. This is only the avatar of Fat Cat (Pangmao) which contributes little to reader's understanding of the topic. Fat Cat was not an online celebrity so this meme-avatar cannot serve as "visual identification" as the rationale have said. The phrase "I don't want vegetables, I want McDonald's" on the avatar can be conveyed by text, which the article already had.  — 魔琴 (Zauber Violino) talk contribs ] 18:19, 19 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Idk but if you are correct, if also needed, open a discussion on vn version of that photo. TheGreatPeng (talk) 08:47, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
