Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use/Todo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is just an outline of outstanding tasks for now. Feel free to flesh it out.

Open tasks[edit]

Fair use tag reform[edit]

Most of the existing "fair use" tags need several improvements; see Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use#Goals. A list of tags that have been rewritten and tags that have not been written is on Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use/Fair use tag reform. Please rewrite tags that have not been rewritten so that they are more in line with the goals of the project. Don't worry if it's not perfect the first time around, this is a wiki after all. Suggested further reading before starting might be Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use and Wikipedia:Fair use.

Re-tagging images[edit]

See Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use/Fair use tag reform for a more-or-less complete list of fair use tags, and Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for a list of all common image copyright tags. For a slightly related to-do, see "Allowing us to automate removing orphaned fair use images" below.

Monitoring[edit]

A monitoring proposal will be at Wikipedia:WikiProject Fair use/Monitoring. As of this writing, the link is red, so any help writing the proposal would be appreciated. If you wish to discuss it first, see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fair use. We've already created three tags – {{fairusedisputed}}, {{fairusereview}}, and {{oldfairusereview}} – for the purpose. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fair use#Template:Fairusedisputed for more details about proposed use.

Allowing us to automate removing orphaned fair use images[edit]

WP:CP[edit]

There will probably always be claims of fair use cropping up here.Geni 21:32, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
