Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Same focus on Korea-related topics, particularly on Korean reunification (significant overlap elsewhere as well); mobile web edits only; exact same grammatical errors in English; edit summaries "added Korean name / title".

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments[edit]

  •  Check declined by a checkuser. Even if these two accounts were operated by the same person (the evidence presented is pretty slim at the moment: Waltzingmogumogupeach has 15,000+ edits, so I feel that we would need to see more examples of similarities than the one pair of diffs presented), I do not see this as a violation of the sockpuppetry policy because there has been minimal temporal overlap between the accounts. Waltzingmogumogupeach was last active in September 2023 while Mockingjay555 first became active in October 2023. Waltzingmogumogupeach did pop in for a few edits in March 2024, but not in any articles that overlap with Mockingjay555. I am inclined to assume good faith here and assume this is an attempted clean start, which is allowed under our policies. The pop-in during March could have been a mistake. If Waltzingmogumogupeach returns to activity, it may be worth simply asking them directly if they are Mockingjay555 and to disclose the connection if so. In the meantime, I don't think any action here is necessary. no Closing without action. Mz7 (talk) 03:29, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
