Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Plipplip07 is a blocked sock although I cannot locate which master they are under. They edited heavily in Pakistani television pages with a lot of cross editing related to P.Karthik.95 (previously reported as a sock under another master). Both Perso007 and Hana Shinohara (both created after the block of Plipplip007) have been consistently editing the same pages, including addition of unsourced content. All four accounts have overlap that is more than just coincidence. CNMall41 (talk) 22:23, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Perso007 is more probably a sock of Giriprasad Damodar 02 - see the history on Sai Pallavi where you'll find edits from GD02 and some of their socks, in particular Gpeditz007 and Plipplip07. Haven't put an SPI on this account together yet as I still need to pull some relevant diffs / habits for this editor. I will be shocked if P.Karthik.95 is a sock of this account or GD02 - they've been editing for quite a while and there have been more than a few CU's done against GD02 socks while they've been around. They have a clean block log and just being reported as a sock should never be taken as a sign of guilt. I think I would be socking for at least 4 different masters if that was the case! Just to clarify, I didn't mention the previous SPI as something to "be taken as a sign of guilt." On the contrary. It is more for CUs and admins to know that they will unlikely be a CU connection based on it when they get results. Not my job to tell them what to do but always wise to mention it to help them with the behavioral aspect of the investigation. Lately there have been a lot of SOCKS avoiding detection by switching up IPs. These film-farms are all related and are getting smarter. That includes a TON of LOUTSOCKing. I do see what you mean about GD02 and, with Gpediz007 being a similar styled username, I think there is a closer connection there.--CNMall41 (talk) 18:56, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
