Suspected sockpuppets[edit]
I've noticed a couple of things about this IP editor that seem like it is User:Dealer07:
- IP geolocates to Athens, Greece like previous IPs, e.g. this previous SPI report
- On elwiki, it restored an edit (diff) made from 2A02:85F:F000:0:0:0:0:0/40 range (diff), which is currently blocked on enwiki for block evasion after this AIV report which cited block evasion of User:Dealer07 in the report
- On Future Lover (diff) and Brunette (singer) (diff), this IP editor resumed the edit-warring of a previous (but not blocked) IP range from a week ago where they add "songwriter" to the lead section of singer articles, and remove wikilinks from the ethnicity. Compare this to edits from previously blocked or range-blocked IPs 77.69.111.26 and 46.177.136.204: diff 1, diff 2, diff 3. Those previous IPs were blocked after being reported at this SPI here and here respectively. — AP 499D25 (talk) 13:42, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- Update the next day: so I wake up to find that this IP editor in question has engaged in further edit-warring on the two articles mentioned above, over the same edits. Furthermore, it is blanking out warnings on user talk pages (i.e. see here), which is the same behaviour seen on previous IP socks (ex. 1, ex. 2, ex. 3).
- Another note: check out this edit (dated Oct 2023) from the previous blocked 2A02:85F:F000:0:0:0:0:0/40 range noted above – it is on the same Brunette (singer) article being targeted by the current IP range in this SPI, compare it to the latest IP edit on that article too, and note the edit summary where they complain about "linking nationality violating MOS:OL" – compare that to the edit summary of this edit on a user talk page from the current range! — AP 499D25 (talk) 00:29, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
