Saudi Arabia[edit]

Arbitration Enforcement: Raise to Extended-Confirmed Protection because this article is related to the Arab-Israeli conflict. How is it that Israel-Saudi Arabia relations is Extended-Confirmed protected, but the article on Saudi Arabia is not? Especially considering the Normalization that was supposed to take place, between These two countries before October 7th. 70.50.199.125 (talk) 04:41, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources[edit]

Reason: Indef protection from non-ECU: Due to the list containing sources heavily involved in the Israel-Palestinian conflicts which is a magnet of vandalism by non-ECU. -- Sameboat - 同舟 (talk · contri.) 05:06, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Romantic music[edit]

Reason: Temporary semi-protection: This was just protected for three days, and within three minutes of the protection expiring (from 04:28, 23 May 2024 UTC to 04:31, 23 May 2024 UTC), the vandalism resumed. The same type as well (compare [1] and [2]). Multiple IPs are again involved. Egsan Bacon (talk) 05:07, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. FMSky (talk) 05:52, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected for a period of one week, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. BusterD (talk) 14:05, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

swimming[edit]

5 years of PC: I realized that the page is pending-protected according to the protection log. What I don't understand is how its protection settings got moved to swimming (disambiguation) (whose protection may not be necessarily these days due to low IP edit-count) without retaining its protection settings. You admins ought to add a feature to copy protection settings for pages which have to be moved. It is obnoxiously perplexing.197.0.217.64 (talk) 13:10, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Probably something you can't see, so I'll copy it here: "09:55, 9 November 2017:User:Jenks24 moved pending changes settings from Swimming to Swimming (disambiguation) (Swimming moved to Swimming (disambiguation): per requested move discussion, see Talk:Swimming). my guess would be the explanation might be somewhere in the talk-archives, then, but no guarantee. Lectonar (talk) 13:17, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am aware of that. That message comes from swimming (disambiguation)'s page log, which I mistakenly called it protection log. My concern is, despite gaining its protection settings from its original title name, how can swimming itself not be protected?197.0.217.64 (talk) 13:36, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Found discussion. According to talk:swimming#Requested move 24 October 2017, the page was initially called human swimming, which is now a redirect. If that redirect gets protected, its protection settings would duplicate to swimming. I get it now. But first, swimming (disambiguation) has to be unprotected first.197.0.217.64 (talk) 13:55, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason: Persistent vandalism from a variety of IPs and new accounts. Lengthy protection suggested: diff from April 5 to present shows 83 edits and reverts, resulting in one positive change [3] signed, Willondon (talk) 14:49, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
