Is There A Reserved Election For Eurasian Race?[edit]
As I understand about the Presidential Elections, there will be a reserved election for each minority group when certain criterion are met. Noting that after Malay Presiden Yusof bin Ishak, Eurasian President Benjamin Sheares was sworn in, is there therefore a reserved election after Presiden Halimah Yacob for a Eurasian candidate? Linrx81 (talk) 16:15, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Linrx81: for the purpose of reserved elections, the Indian and other minority communities are considered as a single category. Thus, since S. R. Nathan, who was Indian and thus from this category, was president within the five most recent presidential terms, there is no need to hold a reserved election for the Indian and other minority communities category. — SGconlaw (talk) 17:28, 6 February 2022 (UTC)

70.4% or 70.40%[edit]
small detail but i feel that writing 70.40% is more concise as it is 4 significant figures, along with the rest. 58.182.55.199 (talk) 18:22, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
- Keep it as a two decimal points, like its standards. Sculture65 (talk) 07:35, 2 September 2023 (UTC)

- I also consider about the following proposals, because they do share in common:
- ...both Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Halimah Yacob debuted in 2001 Singaporean general election as Members of Parliament for Jurong GRC before becoming Presidents?
- ...Halimah Yacob, the eighth President of Singapore, was one of the six appointed assentors for the President-elect Ong Teng Cheong in 1993?
- ...Tharman Shanmugaratnam was the third President of Singapore-elect with a former portfolio as a Deputy Prime Minister?
- ...2011 was the first year in Singapore where both parliamentary and presidential election ran concurrently in a span of three months?
- ...Tharman Shanmugaratnam considered a durian and a pineapple for his symbol, but eventually chose the latter to reference his prior ministerial roles?
- ...Sample counts, first introduced in the 2015 parliamentary election, carries an accuracy margin within 0.07% to 5%, which help reduce speculations and human error during counting?
- ...the Polling day for the 2023 Singaporean presidential election occurred exactly 30 years ago where Ong Teng Cheong was inaugurated as President of Singapore?
Wrong inauguration date[edit]
Under 'Aftermath', "Tharman Shanmugratanam's inauguration will be scheduled to take place at The Istana on Thursday, 14 September 2021" is wrong.
It should be 14 September 2023. 101.100.160.71 (talk) 01:35, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
