I was expecting a couple more pills in the mail from people who posted in this thread, and hoping to test them side-by-side. In the meantime, I'll just post the results so far. Here is the test result pic. Note that Mandelin test was not used- only Mecke, Marquis, and Simon A&B (in that order). Compare that to the table of common substances.

The pills tested are shown to the left of the test results. The first is Nuvigil (armodafinil) from Cephalon. The second two are pills provided by someone in this thread- the second one down came in a pure foil package, and the final one came in foil+plastic. Both are seemingly Modalert 200.

At first glance, it seems like all would be classified as meth/amphetamine. However, the test results end up far too red, in this case- I have tested meth/amphetamine several times and it will always stay a solid orangey color, never deep red like these. Also, Mecke shows that there is no amphetamine in these samples.

So, ultimately, all three test identical- there was no discernable difference in any of the tests. I will follow up by taking the pills instead of my typical Nuvigil, and give a subjective report.

Also, a friend has pointed something out. In my last post, I said that amphetamines/speed and modafinil/armodafinil feel "VERY different." While there are many clear differences to me, having taken both (ex: speed/amp will always give euphoria, even in extreme overdose, while ar/modafinil will not), I can very much understand how too much ar/modafinil would feel like being drugged with speed- your heart feels like it is bursting through its chest, there is extreme anxiety and rising panic, and the world just generally feels awful (I got this effect from taking a full 250mg armodafinil after the gym- normally, I break up my pill in two pieces and take one first thing in the morning and one before lunch).

You're doing the lords work....

This is good, right?

Yep! No differences in the test=good.

So none of the 3 pills contain amphetamines; that seems good to know.

But can you conclude that all of them have modafinil from the test results? You don't know that the deep red triggers for modafinil; maybe they all just use the same binder or there's something else in them (eg. I didn't see an entry for caffeine on the Marquis table).

After further testing of various different companies, pills, etc, it appears that the result given in my pictures and the above table is definitively (although obviously not quantitatively) modafinil.

Yes, I see, but what's that claim based on? They don't give any references, and the 3 external links do not seem to mention modafinil.

I mean…given that I've tested my own modafinil and armodafinil (prescribed Provigil and Nuvigil, from Cephalon), Modlert (from two countries), Waklert, and Modvigil, and had them all come out looking exactly like the image on that website…at some point, Occam tells us that this is what we should be seeing.

I've tested a lot of pills- other OTC pharmaceuticals, prescription, and recreational -and never seen the sort of color/effect given in the photo (and in my samples), so it's certainly not a common binder. And I know for a fact that the particle size and binder used in foreign modafinil-containing drugs is different than the one in the US, because there was a whole slew of litigation on that (Cephalon owns a bunch of patents about those specific aspects, because it seems to believe they are important [having tried foreign stuff and domestic stuff for my own narcolepsy/EDS, I wholeheartedly agree]), so that would rule out some sort of binder that is somehow unique to modafinil-containing drugs in general. Etc. Sensible?

Yes, if you've compared it against a bunch of others, that helps.

There's a sample tested here, I've also seen the same colour on the charts for a marquis kit, so all looks normal as far as I can tell.
