Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Recreated Joban Pagi as Joban Pagi (devotee) and Babar Deva as Babar Deva (Dacoit). Here we go again. * Pppery * it has begun... 23:35, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Accused parties may also comment/discuss in this section below. See Defending yourself against claims.

See also Draft:Koli (piracy), created by Vajinder Shekhawat. I've added them to the sock list. Fram (talk) 13:11, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clerk, CheckUser, and/or patrolling admin comments[edit]

The behavioral case is very strong (cf. this page move). CU is a good idea though to look for other socks. RegentsPark (comment) 21:21, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, I've blocked both accounts.RegentsPark (comment) 13:56, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • These two accounts are technically  Likely to each other but look a bit different from past accounts. Akshay Rotela has made edits from the country, range and UA that is typical of this SPI case. However, they have also edited from another country that I haven't seen before with a different UA. I suspect there is account sharing going on as the IPs do not appear to be proxies and it would not be plausible to travel between these countries in the given timeline.
  • Vajinder Shekhawat has only edited from the "other country", where they share a range with Akshay Rotela.
  • In addition, the following accounts are  Highly likely to Akshay Rotela via IPs in the "other country" and are engaging in similar caste-related editing:
See for example, the admin/CU comments here and here. This would be consistent with Spicy's suspicion of account sharing between these sock-drawers and is worth keeping in mind for future SPIs related to any of these accounts.
Secondly, I have renewed the expired EC protection for the article Suraj Mal that was targeted by a recent TSSJ sock and will entertain requests to protect (per WP:GSCASTE) any other articles similarly affected. Abecedare (talk) 01:23, 30 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
