  • Keep. Large police department. Plenty of sourcing available. Meets WP:GNG. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:42, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
sourcing available... where? ltbdl (talk) 03:54, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to Anne Arundel County, Maryland This is more like website PR copy than containing any balance or any critical commentary (part of it written by an account literally named Marc at Anne Arundel County Police Department (talk · contribs) who went IP-rogue when we discovered them); it's a county sheriff's department equivalent, no more than that. • I hadn't realised being a county police department was a recognised criterion for deletion! That's sarcasm, by the way! We used to argue to delete police departmemnts with 30 officers. Now we're arguing to delete police departments with nearly 800. That's a pretty big police department. If deleted, it would be, to my knowledge, the largest yet deleted. How on earth is this assisting the growth of the encyclopaedia? And the article merely presents facts, not PR. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:06, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

      have you read the article?

The section provides community service-oriented support in the areas of crime prevention and community relations, provides a variety of educational and community-based recreational youth programs and oversees the department’s volunteer program and the Office of the Chaplain. The section serves as a direct liaison with community groups to foster a better working relationship between the department and the communities.

Looks like a fact to me, however it's written. But are you aware that AfD is not cleanup? AfD is only about whether a topic is notable enough for inclusion, not whether an article is good quality. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:38, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i am very well aware of that. i just needed to respond to your compelly wrong "pr" point. ltbdl (talk) 14:22, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect to Anne Arundel County, Maryland per Nate Generalissima (talk) 19:16, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Redirect to Anne Arundel County, Maryland as it is a typical suburban Maryland county police department doing routine county police department things. There is nothing notable about a county in Maryland having a police department; they all do, and they all handle the day-to-day policing that isn't handled by incorporated cities.
