Sir what are you doing

Whilst I was in the process of adding a source for "sped-up" (which is a New York Times article) you reverted my edits. Here is the source: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/02/arts/music/tiktok-sped-up-remixes-nightcore.html. I would also like to notice that "sped-up" was already mentioned in the article before me, but without a source (see the last sentence in it, about the "non-descript term 'sped-up'". 178.121.12.167 (talk) 21:56, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

Maybe (just maybe) the better term would be "sped-up remix" or "sped-up song", but in TikTok and on Youtube they are mostly labeled simply as "sped-up" 178.121.12.167 (talk) 22:01, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
There are actually other reliable sources (I've counted around a dozen already) which variously call it "sped-up music", "sped-up remix" and the like. It seems to me that only a few of them go in depth of investigating its history though, focusing more on how big labels try to monetize it 178.121.12.167 (talk) 22:05, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
It didn't have a source when I saw it, and I had never heard anyone refer to the genre as a whole as just "sped-up", so I just reverted, not knowing you were still working on it. I won't revert it again, though, if you've got a proper source. Have a nice day, sorry for the trouble! ^^ mir :3 22:10, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Oh not at all thanks for answering. But now I wonder how should it be put into words properly. I will edit it again rn and if you re-word it better later (if you wish to), I'd appreacite that 178.121.12.167 (talk) 22:17, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Sources:

and so on 178.121.12.167 (talk) 22:06, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

The good way to mention it in the lede would probably be: Nightcore (also known by the descriptive term sped-up) is a style of...". What do you think? 178.121.12.167 (talk) 22:14, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

That sounds good to me, but copyediting is my weak point so it may need some extra eyes on it there, haha mir :3 22:18, 26 July 2023 (UTC)

Steven Crowder

I linked sources on my edits to Steven Crowder’s page. In particular, I substantiated the claim of Crowder claiming to be bisexual with a video clip that showed Crowder himself stating as much. 2601:602:9000:D4B0:1984:9DBA:19E3:A579 (talk) 03:39, 4 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello :)

My Grandmother died on May 3rd this year and I thought that I could honor her memory by putting her in Wikipedia's Thomasina and Olliffe JayJayJJ1 (talk) 00:28, 5 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello! Thank you for reaching out to me.
I'm very sorry for your loss, and it's very sweet of you to want to memorialize your grandmother.
Unfortunately, however, per Wikipedia's guidelines, Wikipedia is not a place to memorialize friends and family members. I'm sorry to have to turn you down like this, but this is an encyclopedia, and as such, there are certain guidelines regarding notability that have to be followed when adding content to articles.
I apologize for the disappointing response, and I offer my deepest condolences to you and your family. miranda :3 01:00, 5 August 2023 (UTC)

Roper Addition to Mountain View, Arkansas

We fall under the same flag sister. He lives here, he unfortunately is more notable (outspoken and public) than Miss Irvin that is listed. Want to add a whole section on him, his group, and white supremacy so folks know what they're getting if they visit. 2605:59C8:41B1:1F00:686D:375D:3177:5540 (talk) 06:22, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

Whoops, just spotted this. Sorry!
I definitely understand where you're coming from and why you want to add this info, but Wikipedia's guidelines on Notability are pretty strict. If enough reliable information and sources could be found about Mr. Roper to write an article about him, then he could be added to the list.
Keep in mind, however, that when it comes to living people, information has to be written very carefully and neutrally, no matter how rotten they may be. miranda :3 01:52, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

It was very quick reverting my edit

Thank you

Hi, thank you. I just find it frustrating and dispicable that someone would add blatantly false and disgusting misinformation

Thank you for helping to clear it up 180.219.118.110 (talk) 01:29, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

Of course. Stuff like that normally gets caught pretty quickly, but sometimes it can slip through the cracks. Thank you for taking care of it! miranda :3 01:56, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello

This is ClairSSBlue here, is it okay that I can edit the rest of Super Dragon Ball Heroes Series?! ClairSSBlue (talk) 01:43, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

Hello

Hello, there is a Wikipedia about me which you seems to have made (Charlie Birch), I would really appreciate if the page was able to be deleted.

thanks Charlie Charlie birch (talk) 01:33, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Hi! I didn't create the article, rather, I undid an edit where the article was blanked. Wikipedia is a group effort, so many people worked together to create the article.
Unfortunately, even if the subject asks me to, I can't just delete an article without any community consensus. I will, however, submit a proposal for deletion to see what other, more experienced users think.
I'll keep you updated! miranda :3 01:44, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
Thankyou, for the mean time can some of the stuff be wiped. This page is about me and I do not want the information on the internet?! I hope this can work as a compromise.
Thanks
Charlie Charlie B7rch (talk) 01:49, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
The subject of an article has no control over the contents of the article. The article will remain as-is unless the sources are deemed unreliable or unverifiable, in which case the article will be removed. miranda :3 01:55, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Inappropriate usernames

Hi there. Just a note that when you come across usernames like this lovely example you can report them to usernames for administrator attention per WP:DISRUPTNAME. As I see you use Twinkle, you should be able to do this under the ARV tab, just select UAA from the dropdown list. Thanks for your antivandal efforts! Schminnte (talk contribs) 02:25, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Oh, gotcha! Thank you! miranda :3 02:27, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Your sig

I noticed that your custom signature does not contain your username "Maybeitsmir" but instead contains "Miranda". I think that per WP:CUSTOMSIG/P you should include your user name spelled out in full in your signature. — Prodraxis {talkcontribs} (she/her) 18:01, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

An RfC here was closed with consensus that signatures didn't have to match usernames, and given that my username is derived from my nickname and I simply use my real first name as a signature, I figured it shouldn't be an issue. I've also seen several experienced users with signatures that don't match their usernames.
If it's really an issue, I can change it, but I'd prefer to keep it as it is just to try to alleviate misgendering while also keeping my signature short. miranda :3 18:13, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

Citation

How do I get a citation?? Dannyboy1977 (talk) 03:35, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

First, be sure that the information you're trying to add meets Wikipedia's guidelines on Notability.
If you're sure that they do, read this for the policy on adding citations. miranda :3 03:44, 25 September 2023 (UTC)

Redneck revolt

Hello, I did not make changes to the page. Thank you. 107.77.237.91 (talk) 03:04, 30 September 2023 (UTC)

Someone on your IP address made the edit. Confirming that is trivial, as edit history on Wikipedia is publicly viewable. miranda :3 03:07, 30 September 2023 (UTC)

Trouted

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You have been trouted for: thanking me for my contribution :^)

I deserve this one >u< miranda :3 23:08, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

I wanted to let you know that some of your recent contributions to Joseph Boyse have been reverted or removed because they seem to be defamatory or libellous. Hi! As per WP:RVREASONS,

There are various reasons for removing content from an article. Regardless of the reason, it should be described in the edit summary.

Your edit summary was left completely blank, so that's why I reverted your edit. Thanks! miranda :3 04:28, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

A kitten for you!

For your anti-vandal work! You also have incredible tact in your responses to difficult questions. Keep it up!

Why

Hello, I made a edit on Opportunity and you reverted my edit for "unreliable source." Here is prove that my edit should be un-reverted: https://www.nydailynews.com/2019/02/15/nasa-reveals-final-sad-message-sent-by-martian-rover-opportunity-before-dying/#:~:text=After%20more%20than%2015%20years,low%20and%20it's%20getting%20dark.%E2%80%9D MrHistoryH (talk) 01:22, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

Hi! You did not actually include the source in your edit.
In addition, any fact-checking will show that “My battery is low and it’s getting dark” was not literally the final quote of the rover, but rather, a creative interpretation.

Oh, sorry about that. MrHistoryH (talk) 22:25, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Per Wikipedia:BLPCRIME, no. Unless the suspect is proven guilty in a court of law, they cannot be added into an article like that. You knew this, because you deleted the notes in the article specifically telling you not to. miranda :3 05:03, 27 October 2023 (UTC)

Guru Ghasidas

The resion is Guru Ghasidas is Dharmguru of Satnami caste in India , and he isn't belong to Chamar family.this 'chamar' word make people's as lower cast mentality . Atleast for reader , it will great if you publish it as "Satnami" in place of chamar ChetanBaghel12 (talk) 06:53, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

If you're going to object to the contents of the article, bring it up on the article's talk page, or provide a reliable source and change it yourself. You can't just remove reliably sourced content because you disagree with it. miranda :3 06:57, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
