May 2024[edit]

Hello, I'm REDACTED403. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Imageboard, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. -REDACTED403 (talk) 13:59, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, sorry i added it again i didnt see the message, what kind of source should i add? I mean i added the site link itself but i cant find more than a unlisted youtube video that contains "an older version" if you wanna call it that. I appreciate your help :D 2A02:908:F62:D5A0:C009:C645:8677:A9D6 (talk) 14:02, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the only real thing that is there to citate is the reddit post which was mentioned.
I wouldnt really like to post the whole history of the Imageboard since its quite hard to explain and to citate since much of it isnt archived as said in the edit and/or unknown.
Any suggestion on how to correct it since it would be really nice to add it to the list of imageboards. 2A02:908:F62:D5A0:C009:C645:8677:A9D6 (talk) 14:46, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My best suggestion is: if you don't have a source that meets Wikipedia's requirements, you should not add it. There is no shortcut or workaround for having a proper source, and that article is not meant to be a list of -all- imageboards - it is only the ones who have been discussed in major sources, like newspapers or academic journals.
