Superbuns is a Canadian-American Animated children's animated web television series. This series was created by Diane Kredensor, who also created The Ollie & Moon Show. The series was first released on Peacock on October 12, 2023

The show premiered on Treehouse TV in Canada on March 14, 2024. Watch the trailer here.

Buns Bunny, better known by her superhero name, Superbuns, is prone to saving the day with kindness. With the power of a warm heart, she bounds through her neighborhood ready to help her friends, much to their delight and appreciation. Less appreciative, however, is her older sister Blossom, a self-proclaimed know-it-all who insists that while "kind is kind," it does not qualify as a superpower. Thankfully, Superbuns is unapologetically herself and simply cannot stop being kind — even when it's challenging, inconvenient, or nearly impossible to figure out how.

Superbuns includes the following examples:

  • Alliterative Name: Buns Bunny and Blossom Bunny.
  • Animated Adaptation: Of the book of the same name.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Buns sometimes slips into this when she's trying to prove to Blossom that kindness can be a real superpower.
  • Big Guy, Little Guy: Neville (The big guy) and Kevin (The little guy)
  • Beary Friendly: Rhonda, a very nice bear girl.
  • Bunnies for Cuteness: Both Buns and Blossom are very adorable in appearance.
  • Chained Heat: This happened to Buns and Blossom in "Grumpy Grandpa" when they both accidentally fell into Rhonda's honey and put their backs against each other.
  • Cool Big Sis: Blossom is this to Buns most of the time.
  • Episode Title Card: One appears at the beginning of every episode narrated by Buns herself.
  • Expository Theme Tune: The theme song explains the premise of the show.
  • Gentle Giant: Neville. He's the biggest of Bun's friends but also has a big heart.
  • Heart Symbol: Buns has a big yellow heart on her suit.
  • Insufferable Genius: Downplayed. Blossom has shades of this. She does have her moments of finding her sister helping others to be an inconvenience, but at the same time, she really appreciates Buns' sympathetic disposition and assistance towards the other kids.
  • Ms. Exposition: Blossom who is willing to explain various topics. Rhonda may play this trope when Blossom isn't present.
  • Potty Emergency: Buns has one in "C'mon Caterpillar" after she guzzles an entire pitcher of lemonade. Moments after that and still waiting for the butterfly to come out of her chrysalis, she gets an extreme urge to go. She keeps thinking of various water scenarios until she can hold it no longer and has to stop and go back inside to use the bathroom.
  • Rainbow Motif: Neville wears a rainbow shirt underneath his overalls.
  • Sleep Deprivation: Buns suffers this herself in "Boom Badoom Boom" as she lacks sleep due to hearing Meemaw practicing her tuba at night.
  • That's No Moon: Played With in "Moonshot."
  • Town Girls: The trio of main girls, Buns the fun-loving tender tomboy (Butch), Rohnda a sweet girly girl (Femme), and Blossom who's a bookish resourceful smart girl (Neither).
  • Tutu Fancy: Rhonda appears wearing a pink tutu.
