This WMG page is for theories pertaining to multiple parts or the JJBA series as a whole. For theories regarding a specific part, visit one of the following pages:
- Phantom Blood
- Battle Tendency
- Stardust Crusaders
- Diamond is Unbreakable
- Golden Wind
- Stone Ocean
- Steel Ball Run
- JoJolion
- The JOJOLands
- Close. We got Steel Ball Run instead, and it was called Made in Heaven.
- So, the obvious ones, Nazi super science and concentration on the pillar men. How did they have any idea what the pillar men were apart from hearsay? Simple, Alucard was one of the original victims of the stone mask before Jonathan's father discovered it and after Zeppeli lost it.
- Santana's body isn't referred to again because it was traded by the Speedwagon foundation to Millenium in exchange for their support in battling Kars at the Colosseum, they weren't aware of their aims and were convinced it was solely to research means of defeating the vampires.
- Since Hellsing takes place during the 90s it's possible Millenium would've spied upon DIO and been aware of his actions, helping justify the effectiveness of their vampiric soldiers.
- Stroheim's cyborg body was made using the same tech as was used on The Major.
- Speedwagon would've wanted to set up a British branch of the Speedwagon foundation, but after being made aware of the existence of Hellsing, allocated the funds to them instead.
- The Nail is made of the same material as The Arrow, but granted supernatural powers different from stands.
- Possible that he has a daughter considering the amount of times he had sex with women from all over the world.
- While Stands cause their users to age slower, the effects are not as strong or apparent as the Ripple. Jotaro on the other hand manages to look younger as the series progresses instead of slowly aging like his ripple-using ancestors. Star Platinum also has a certain degree on time-manipulation.
- Justified as a result of Araki's huge leap in Art Evolution, but since he is the most recurring character throughout the series he kind of stands out.
- Not possible. Frogs don't live as long as humans do, so if the frog Doppio ate was a descendant of the frog Zeppeli punched, there would be far more generations in between-the frog Doppio ate would more likely be the great-great grandson of the frog Zeppeli punched, if they're related. On the other hand, Ripple and Stand users age slower than other members of their species, and we do know that animals can have Stands...
- Not to mention the fact that the frog Zeppeli punched was in England, while the frog Doppio ate was in Italy. Not impossible that the frog's descendants progressivly moved south during the intervening 113 yearsnote , though.
Why else would he have been brought up by name?
Zeppelis have a bad track record for befriending Joestars and dying heroically and painfully. All three of these side characters fit this. While they do not have the Zeppeli name they could be descended from them genetically. A woman in the Zeppeli bloodline might have married men of the Bucciarati, Kakyoin, and Costello bloodlines, or a man had an illegitimate child with members of those bloodlines. And by fate the three have become associated with their respective main JoJos.
Gold Experience Requiem kept him from being Reset Button'd, but it couldn't do the same for anyone else. Plus Araki made some comment in Stone Ocean that Giorno "might be in Florida", why would he make such a comment if Giorno wouldn't ever show up ever again? ... of course this is probably wishful thinking.
- Well he is a son of Dio. Maybe he was being recuited but turned down the offer.
- The Word of God saying that Giorno was in Florida was just an Author's Saving Throw Araki pulled when asked by fans why the only son of Dio we knew so far never showed up at the gathering of Dio's children.
- Further evidenced in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle, which has large amounts of Mythology Gag. Giorno's Gold Experience Requiem isn't affected by Made In Heaven. That HAS to count for something.
- If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the non-canon novel Jorge Joestar show that Giorno survived the universal resets? That could count for something.
- That isn't how Made In Heaven works. EVERYONE should still be around, sans those killed directly by Pucci. You don't need to be immune to the effects to stick around after the reset
Araki regularly fights vampires, immortals and people with insane powers all the time when he's not writing crazy awesome manga. Stand Users and Ripple Warriors also age slower than normal humans, and Araki doesn't age.
- By that logic Bruno Bucciarati is Tetsuya Nomura.
'Cause of... uh... the patterns they cause, and... er, it'd be neat? (I should have written more on this when the idea first struck me. Bother.)
- But then wouldn't Speedwagon have had access to it?
- Spin, the equivalent power in SBR, is closer. TTGL is probably a resultant universe that would come about if Pucci hadn't been killed at the end of Stone Ocean.
Jonathan Joestar had his own Stand, a very short range one — and so a very powerful one. This troper guesses that its power is something like fortify all the Joestar's bloodline to inherit Jonathan's force of will and body. I'm not making this shit up! It can be seen here!
- So its name should be Father Abraham, having a deepful meaning and also starting the musical groups Shout-Out.
- Err - Dio wasn't exactly around to do this at the time. Furthermore, Diavolo was the one who originally discovered the Stand arrows, meaning Dio would not have The World at his disposal.
- He could, however, be a descendent of Dio, probably from some mortal dalliance. Unless JJBA Vampires can have babies when they aren't attached to a not-quite-vampire body.
- And it was Enya's fault, because she unlocked The World and Dio became too reliant on it. Even without that Stand, Dio was using Jonathan's body, and as such, was restricted with what he could do, no longer having his own body. Freezing blood, for example...
- It's implied that it is because the neck scar wasn't fully healed yet, meaning that his head and Jonathan's body weren't fully synced yet. It is likely that the reason he was so determined to feed on the blood of the Joestars is because that was the only way to heal the scar. Supported by the fact that he became significantly stronger and his timestop increased only after he drank Joseph's blood.
- Dio appears to be physically stronger after gaining Jonathan's body than before, and he becomes more resistant to the Ripple.
- If Jonathan's grandson gave him such a big boost, imagine what would have happened if he drained Jonathan's biological son instead. Or three of them, as the case may be. It would also explain why he didn't seem to give his henchmen any orders to take Joseph alive. Being able to drain him then was a happy accident, rather than his main goal, and he already had his main plans well underway by that point.
- Then what about the vine looking Stand that looks like Holly's and Joseph's? Dio also shows to have the same ability Hermit Purple has. See two entries below.
- One of the art books identifies the Hermit Purple lookalike as Jonathan's contribution to Dio's stand power, so the World is probably more Dio's stand. However, given that Jotaro has something very similar, I'd say that Jonathan also had some sort of affinity for the World that he passed down.
- Looks to be jossed as of the SBR universe. The World is Dio's stand. Diego's "first" stand was an infection caused by another stand user that he was able to control via a corpse part. Later we see Diego with his own The World. Tusk and Hermit Purple, and type alikes, look to be stands partially born from the Spin and Hamon respectively. So in Dio's Advocate, had Jonathan somehow developed a stand without ever learning hamon or spin it might have been either, or close to, The World or Star Platinum.
- The Stone isn't supernatural, though. There are many red stones like it that can amplify sunlight in the Jojo world; Kars actually has one in a flashback. The only reason that specific Red Stone is important is because it's the only one big enough to give a Stone Mask the strength to penetrate a Pillar Man's brain all the way through.
Hey, a man named Joshua bar Joseph who can grant people Stands? Not too far fetched in this series. Now whether the rest of the JoJos are descended from his siblings or if Jesus did the whole Holy Blood, Holy Grail thing and had kids is up for debate.
- It would explain Jesus's ability to walk on water. It also explains the Corpse Parts in Part 7 having such extraordinary powers.
- Impossible. Didn't you read Kars' bio? SEX: USELESS
- Also, wouldn't that piece of Kars decide to mutate into a clone bent on rescuing his original self from floating through space.
- The Stand Arrows would most likely predate Kars' defeat, though.
- Likewise, Heavy Weather causes normal people to just think they are slugs, and see others as slugs. Only Stand users physically transform, sine their Stands make such radical changes possible.
The facts we know so far are that Jolyne, Anasui, Hermes, and Weather Report have AU counterparts (Irene and Anakiss for Jolyne and Anasui) and original Emporio transferred over intact, and most importantly that Irene is still part of the Joestar bloodline. We also know that Jotaro as Irene's father has a counterpart. However, we also also know that Kira has already taken the place and lineage in the Joestar bloodline that Jotaro should have, which raises the question of just what Irene's parentage is.
So, to wrap things up and make clear where exactly Irene came from, they'll all be brought back. Emporio will also be back, still tagging along with Irene after the Made In Heaven screwed the universe, and provide a welcome callback to previous parts. Because the timeline during Stone Ocean doesn't apply to the new universe, the final chapter of Stone Ocean (What a Wonderful World), in which Emporio is reunited with Irene and co., could have happened before Jojolion.
Possible reasons for Irene's return:
- The person Kira fused with to become Josuke is actually Irene's father, so she arrives to get permission to marry Anakiss, as she stated at the end of Stone Ocean, only to be surprised by Josuke instead of her father. The reason Josuke is seemingly so young despite both halves being adults, according to this WMG, is due to lolwalleyesmagic.
- Kira was Irene's father (unlikely, since this WMG predicts Irene being marriage-age, if a bit young, at the time of Jojolion and Kira is 29 right before the beginning of Jojolion. But, hey, lolwalleyesmagic) and she arrives as per above.
- Kira has almost been established as an evil Joestar cousin (or counts as a Joestar cousin due to being the son of Holly Joestar), and Irene and/or Irene's still living father must take responsibility for him as true Joestars. At first, they will target Josuke for being so similar/his direct continuation. However, because Irene doesn't have "Jo" in her first name, she will realize that Josuke is more Jojo than her and thus defer to him as the truest Joestar. This is flawless logic.
- Joseph (2) is Jonathan's (1) grandson.
- Josuke (4) is Joseph's (2) son.
- Jolyne (6) is Jotaro's (3) daughter.
- Josuke (8) is Josuke (4) in an alternate universe.
- The twist being that AU-Giorno (as a descendent of Diego Brando) also exists, and the original Giorno will be set up as the main antagonist (though perhaps not exactly evil, or the final antagonist) due to his mafia Godfather ways. The end of Stone Ocean said something about two equivalent characters not being able to exist in the same dimension, but SBR shows that they can cross-over as long as they don't touch, so the specifics of coexistence between AU counterparts is up in the air enough for it to work.
- The concept of the two not being able to touch would make for an amazing fight between original and AU-Giorno. Or the original could use Gold Experience Requiem to bypass that whole thing.
The Corpse Parts have the power to remove (harmful) things. The Super Spin can give objects "infinite rotation"—the property of continuously staying, being attracted to, or sticking to a certain place (in addition to being metaphysically ripped apart, but that's another deal). Kira's stand created exploding bubbles.
Therefore, the Wall Eyes fused those aspects together into Soft&Wet—Kira's Stand's bubble to transmit the power, the Corpse Parts to remove attributes, and the Super Spin to apply them to other objects. This leads us to...
Now, since the Super Spin requires riding a horse-shaped thing at a certain speed, Josuke will accomplish the same feat via motorcycle, replicating Part 4 Josuke's epic motorcycle ride.
- In terms of large "organisms" and going weird places with Stand Users, maybe the entire town of Morioh has sentience (...for some reason. It's more or less magic already.) and its stand is/are the wall-eyes.
- Sakujo is Teru Mikami's mantra word. Teru is the name of Norisuke the First's wife and Yoshiteru Kira is Holy Kira's husband. "Kira" or Light Yagami considers himself a god like Dio and he's a Devil in Plain Sight, Diavolo means devil. OH MY GOD!!!! One of SBR Diavolo's parents could be a Higashikata or a Kira.
- And this is because the manga makes whoever reads it into a Stand User.
- Not how Made In Heaven works. But Diavolo is definitely still dying.
- Gappy being a fusion of two different people might have inherited his nice guy trait from Josefumi, it is actually Kira who inherited the Dark Will.
- Alternatively, Dio sucking out Joseph's blood caused complications that even the Ripple could not fix.
- Not how Made In Heaven works. The SBR universe is not the same universe as the one created by MIH.
The non-canon novel Jorge Joestar brings up the idea that Pucci's Made In Heaven has reset Earth a number of times. Each loop is slightly different, but the events of Battle Tendency happen in most of them, and since the resets are limited in scope to Earth, there's a whole bunch of different versions of Kars floating around in space (and a bunch on the planet Mars. It's a weird novel). As part of this WMG, a previous Kars was ejected into space during one of these loops, but didn't have enough escape velocity to escape Earth's gravity well, so remained in orbit around Earth. Just like in canon, Kars' body turned into a fossil and he stopped thinking, but since he was in space, he survived one or more resets. Eventually, his orbit decayed and he fell to Earth, his body breaking up during the fall, and one fragment was retrieved and turned into the Bow and Arrows.
Though Kars is catatonic, he's still alive, and his life force gives the Arrows their powers. Stabbing oneself with an Arrow infuses a small amount of Kars' life force into them, awakening a Stand in them if they possess the right qualities. The Arrow seeks out those who have the potential to control a Stand, but weren't born with one; the infusion of Kars' life force presumably mimics whatever process causes some people to have natural Stands. Jorge Joestar also implies that the Holy Corpse in Steel Ball Run is not Jesus, but a version of Dio that became the Ultimate Lifeform with the Stone of Aja and Kars' Stone Mask, so if we go by that, there is precedent that the body of an Ultimate Lifeform can awaken Stands in people.
But as we see, stabbing a Stand itself with the Arrow grants them even greater power, creating a "Requiem" Stand. When Silver Chariot becomes Chariot Requiem, it takes Polnareff's dying wish of protecting the Arrow to heart, but it also has its own agenda; it swaps the souls of every living thing in Rome (or possibly the entire world), which starts to mutate some people. The characters speculate that Chariot swapped some people's souls with those of life forms from another world.
However, according to this theory, both the Arrows seeking worthy users and people mutating due to Requiem is actually Kars' doing. He's still dormant, but either his abilities or his sheer willpower is strong enough that the Arrows made from his body still have a semblance of independence. By awakening Stands in people, they hope to eventually create a Requiem Stand, but since they don't have consciousness per se, anyone spiritually strong enough to sustain a Requiem Stand can easily override the Arrow's basic independence and control the Requiem Stand for themselves. Polnareff had the misfortune of dying shortly after gaining his Requiem Stand, so Chariot Requiem could directly act as the Arrows' proxy.
Kars' Ultimate Lifeform abilities to alter his own genetic structure is responsible for the mutations. When everyone swapped souls, a bit of Kars' life force piggybacked on each swapped soul. The goal here was to take control of every living thing on Earth, using the soul swapping as a distraction while he took over everyone's bodies and used his abilities to turn them into clones of himself. But since he's still catatonic, his abilities act more or less randomly by mutating people into possible forms of life. Once Chariot is defeated, everyone's souls are swapped back, excising the bit of Kars' life force in everyone during the process. Since Earth is reset a few years after this, the remaining Arrows, and the version of Kars they were created from, are destroyed for good.
- Made in Heaven doesn't work like that. The only people that are replaced with copies are those that Enrico Pucci killed pre-reboot. Everyone else lives through the end of the universe and comes back from the rebirth locked to their fate and aware of their own destiny. As such, Kars is STILL somewhere out there floating in space, having been forced to re-live his defeat at the hands of Joseph Joestar yet again... AND fully aware of the billions of years he still has ahead of him floating alone in space. Poor Kars.
Not exactly. Joseph, while very skilled, was never the most talented Ripple user, and came to neglect his training. He truly only came to develop his Stand, Hermit Purple, because of Dio. However, in Part 3, DIO showed himself able to utilize Hermit Purple with just as much skill (if not more) than Joseph. This could come from the fact that The World´s powers enable Dio to utilize the powers of all the Joestar stands (Star Platinum´s strength, speed and time stop, Crazy Diamond´s healing abilities), and Hermit Purple is supposedly Jonathan´s Stand. However, it´s possible that Dio has Hermit Purple not because of The World. When Dio stole Jonathan´s body, he supposedly gained his augmented strength and Hermit Purple, but he could not use Hamon because he is a vampire, and thus, does not have a life force to tap into. What if Jonathan was one step away from becoming the first Stand user ? Hermit Purple would be the ideal Stand for one who seeks to identify, track and destroy vampires safely without the breathing restrictions (Stands are not dependent on the Ripple to function), and since Jonathan was not seen using Hermit Purple, it could be possible that Jonathan did not use Hermit Purple despite being able to because he had no idea of what a Stand was, and Dio, having more than a hundred years to play around Jonathan´s body, ended up figuring out how to use it. Dio may have been the first of many to be able to use a Stand without having Hamon powers.
If the above theory is true, and Stands are capable of being developed by those sufficiently advanced in Ripple training, why didn´t Kars develop a Stand, given his Ripple was 100x times stronger than Joseph´s ? Because he didn´t knew he could. Again, Stands were completely unheard of at that time, and Kars treated the Ripple as merely a way to transmit the energy. While Kars certainly could not be responsible for the Stand Arrows (the meteor carrying them came before he became the Ultimate Lifeform), he could be the reason why Stands are so widely common back in the Parts after Stardust Crusaders. Perhaps pieces of Kars, already a fossil in space, have broken off their original source and made their way to Earth as small meteor. As the Ultimate Lifeform, every single one of Kars´s cells has the power to turn into a living being, reproduce and utilize Ripple, and thus, develop Stands.
Perhaps the reason why so many people end up developing Stands is because broken pieces of Kars end up falling on Earth and transferring their energy into the human that touches them. In an attempt to survive through a host, these rocks end up transferring their life energy and power to the human that touches them. However, Kars is catatonic, and cannot control those individual pieces, leaving the Stand´s powers and personalities at the owner´s control. Since Kars can heal, these pieces can be replaced by new ones. However, they cannot turn into another Kars (even if, as the Ultimate Lifeform, they should be able to) because, again, these pieces are fossilized, and Kars, who is the only one who could control these pieces, is unable to command them to do so. Even if these pieces are unable to utilize the Ripple to develop Stands, they can still develop Stands on their own, as being the Ultimate Lifeform should give Kars the powers of all living beings.
This would mean that not only Kars is the one responsible for developing the Stone Masks that led to the creation of vampires, Ripple users, and Dio, he would also be the one responsible for the developing of the Stands. Anyone who touches so much as a rock (or maybe even a lifeform spawned from these rocks) will be able to gain the rock/lifeform´s ability to create a Stand (or gain the Stand naturally developed by the piece of Kars). This would also explain why the Ripple is obsolete in the Jojoverse after Part 3, as the pieces of Kars and the human race have already evolved beyond it. This would also explain why, if the Stands were supposedly so hard to achieve and control, later characters in later parts could develop Stands that had powers befitting of their natures (Alessi, Rohan and Akira are such examples). Since Stands are also spawned from Kars´s genes coming into contact with a creature, this would also explain why Stands can be hereditary. However, coming into contact with another piece of Kars´s genes would not generate another Stand, but reinforce the existing one. Unless, of course, Stand Arrows that generate Requiem Stands.
- In the time that is erased, only movements stick. When it starts and when it finishes, things are moved from one spot to another, but no actions besides movement in that time stick. No interaction between objects (besides feet and the ground) stick. They're all erased.
- Diavolo is not exempt from this. The only reason King Crimson doesn't screw him over as easily as everyone else is because he has precognition as a secondary power and can see the time before he erases it.
- Not how KC works. In fact, KC actually CAN erase anything that Diavolo sees with Epitaph. Fate is already adjusted for it. Besides, Diavolo beat Silver Chariot, which is wickedly fast.
- Additionally, his relationship with his rebellious, pervy child with a creative fighting style and a heart of gold is meant to further cement the comparison.
- The final page in part 10 will say "Hirohiko Araki Retires."
- It's 2020 and part 8 still isn't over.
- Since the Wall Eyes have the ability to give Stands, doesn’t that basically make it a Devil’s Palm?
- Either Mountain Tim had siblings who would instead inherit the company and may return in part 8 or a future part, or Mountain Tim sold the company once he came to inherit it.
- It does happen more than once in Jojos Bizarre Adventure Eyes Of Heaven.
The differences are in the details of the ability Since Bites the Dust rewinds time, a Bites the Dust host can change anyone's fate by significantly altering circumstances of the fated object or person. This is possible because even though fate is already set in theory, in practice time and causality are still in effect on each pass of the time loop, so changing circumstances to preclude a fate is possible. However, King Crimson completely erases sections of time; during those sections, Diavolo may change his own fate, but not anyone else's; thus, he can't punch people because that's changing their fate, but he can throw his blood in their eyes, because it's the fate of his blood, which is a part of him, that he's changing.
Since Diavolo can only decide to start skipping time in advance, the ability is really only useful when combined with Epitaph's precognition ability.
This means that while he can appear to take action during time skips, he can only do so if he was capable of doing it without the cover of a time skip and Paradox Space is feeling generous towards him. When he killed Narancia, he first looked into the future and saw that his fate was already to do so, successfully. Since King Crimson's timeskip can't change Narancia's fate, Diavolo knows that he can skip time and, during the time skip, change his fate without affecting that of Narancia. From everyone else's perspective, time skipped and then suddenly Narancia was dead.
- I don't know; Chapter 54 seems to really joss this.
- Holy has shown up in Jojolion, though it seems that she doesn’t seem to be in good condition to become a protagonist.
- Part 4 will have the opening reloop.
- Confirmed.
- Part 5 will have sections of the opening cut off.
- Alternatively, Diavolo will be shown interfering between parts within deleted time.
- And if it does have sections of the opening cut off, when GER shows up, the cut off sections will be "doubled".
- Inverted. King Crimson "inserts" a section into the opening where Diavolo monologues.
- Technically part of this theory was confirmed, Diavolo didn't insert a section, he simply revealed his own monologue that was already skipped.
- Part 6 will speed up the opening.
- Alternatively, it'll start with playing the first minute of Part 1's opening before fast-forwarding through all the openings and ending with the last 30 seconds of Part 6's opening. It'll also be a neat use of Book Ends for the end of the original timeline.
- Part 7 will play an entirely different opening theme.
- Alternatively, it'll flip back and forth between Part 1 and Part 7's Openings.
- Part 8 is a bit tricky. So far, none of the candidates for Big Bad have time-related stands (the same goes for the rest of the cast). Assuming Jobin is the Big Bad (or at least part of the Big Bad Duumvirate), maybe perhaps it'll do something to the visuals but not the song - perhaps the intro will slowly appear as if it's burning up (gradually picking up speed).
- The best bet right now seems to be Tooru. Perhaps the effect would be cracking the screen to reflect the infinitely destructive power of Wonder of U?
- The devil and God but no purgatory? Possible Stand DVNO.
- ...By flooding their body with hamon. Some fans believe that the purpose of hamon, among other things, is to bring about a stand through extensive training. The stand arrows simply convey a massive amount of hamon energy into the target's body, in hopes to overload them; the stand creation is a side-effect of all that energy. If unable to handle it, the target dies as expected. Vampires and Pillar Men are naturally even less able to handle all of this hamon, making them vulnerable to the arrow, especially since it, as an arrow, could pierce the skin. note As such, it was most likely intended as an anti-vampire weapon.
- But wouldn't that mean Dio would've died when Enya shot him to awaken The World?
- By the time DIO gains his stand, he's not fully synced with Jonathan's body, which of course was adapted to using Hamon, so maybe it could simply cope with it better than DIO's actual body. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's Araki magic. Maybe it was the work of an enemy stand.
- But wouldn't that mean Dio would've died when Enya shot him to awaken The World?
- Doubtful. The conclusion of Diamond is Unbreakable had him in far better shape than he was at his first appearance in the arc. He was borderline senile when he arrived in Morioh Harbor, mishearing words and tripping up. However, after taking in Shizuka, he's not only in better spirits but of a sharper mind. He sounded very much like Part 3 Joseph in his final scene. Having another daughter at his old age to raise plus getting involved in another bizarre adventure raised his outlook. He became a Speedwagon-like figure, especially given he's likely the Speedwagon Foundation's primary financial backer after he became a real estate tycoon. Finally, Joseph's story, unlike the others, has always been about escaping the curse of the Joestar bloodline.
- Jossed - Suzi Q is stated to be of pure Italian blood, whereas Dio is stated to be British. While it's possible that Dio's child in this scenario could have moved to Italy, Suzi Q would be of British-Italian Blood at the very least. The only possibility for this to be true would be if Suzi Q's parent was conceived during a trip to Italy, except such an event surely would've at least been mentioned after the time skip (not to mention that it took longer to travel back then).
- This whole section is dedicated to theories of what became of the Morioh Gang after Part 5's end and the start of the events of Part 6.
- Wanting to take his self appointed job as Morioh's protector to the next level, Josuke followed in his Grandfather's footsteps and became a cop.
- Okuyasu worked as an apprentice to Tonio. He's not on Tonio's level (because let's be honest, nobody can be as good as Tonio when it comes to preparing food), but he's still pretty good. During that time, Tonio became like a second older brother to Okuyasu. This experience working under Tonio would eventually lead to Okuyasu opening up his own restaurant that specializes in a combination of Japanese and Italian cuisine.
- After coming home from Italy, Koichi continued to see Yukako. Eventually, the two got married and have a daughter who they both chose to name after the woman who brought them together twelve years ago, Aya Tsuji. Koichi works as a detective. He occasionally gets called up by Josuke to help out with investigations. He prides himself on his family and every time he's called out to work, he looks at a photo of them to remind himself what he's fighting for.
- Yukako is Koichi's wife and mother to Aya Hirose. Inspired by Aya's work, Yukako chose to follow a similar career path by opening up her own hair salon called "Cinderella Deluxe." She kept Cinderella in the name as a sign of respect for Aya's memory and to carry on her spirit. Like Aya, she uses her Stand to assist her customers with whatever style they want to go for if it can't usually be done by conventional hairstyling means. She also made most of her own equipment such as the hair dryers (Hey, she made a homemade electric chair. Making dryers for her salon can't be too out of the realm of possibilities.) As a mother, Yukako is VERY protective of little Aya. Let's just say hurting her in any way would be the least health conscious thing you'd want to do. She also loves to play around with Aya's hair to see what styles would look cute on her and Aya loves to volunteer.
Part 8 Holy was born much later than Part 3 Holy. It makes it likely that her father could have a dalliance with Josefumi's mother, assuming he had Holy while he was young. It's unlikely that he was Joseph Joestar, though, because George II would have to have been extremely old by the standards of the time (in his early to mid 40s) to have Joseph so that Joseph could have Josefumi, who was born in 1991 (Note George was around the age of 5 or 6 in 1901). It's more likely that Joseph's son was the father of both Holy and Josefumi.
It would also explain how Gappy survived the fusion from the equivalent exchange: Family members are often the most compatible organ donors.
1. Joseph clearly has become some kind of jet-setting world traveler, possibly as part of his business as a real estate tycoon, and he's also become a leader in investigating weird, JoJo-relevant paranormal things that come up. Joseph's matured and he's not stupid, he kept up his Hamon training to keep fighting when needed. He implies in Part 3 that he's had other battles after Part 2 as well (could overlap with his natural laziness as others on TV Tropes have pointed out).
2. Joseph is still a boisterous super extrovert and still flirts with ladies while he's out and about the world. Presumably one night while in Japan his flirting goes too far, maybe under the influence of alcohol or something, and he impregnates Tomoko in a spur-of-the-moment porking.
3. One constant question that lingers in Part 4 is how Tomoko confuses Jotaro for Joseph. This could only be done if Joseph still looked young, which he would need to do by keeping up his Hamon training.
4. Joseph, being a flawed human being, realizes he made a mistake cheating on his wife and feels enormous regret for it even if he doesn't tell anyone about it. As shown in Part 3, he does dearly love his wife, so he gives up Hamon training so that he will look older and not continue to attract willing young ladies to him.
5. As shown in Part 1 by William Zepelli, losing one's containment of Hamon WILL suddenly get you looking aged. Joseph wasn't quite as old (or dying) as Zepelli was by then so by Part 3 he had looked past middle age but still had a lot of physical ability that wouldn't be lost until after he gets killed by DIO (which is sure to cause some assortment of problems for him later in life). So he still has Hamon by Part 3, but it's weak.
6. By Part 4, Joseph is clearly an old man and some of his functioning has gone, but it's also checked out due to him having to go somewhere to address something he really wasn't proud of doing and meet a son he never knew. His Hamon is gone now, but at least he has his Stand, and you'll notice he starts perking up more after rescuing (and later adopting) Shizuka and winning Josuke's respect. His physical strength is mostly gone, but his mental state and being are still strong.
- Problem is that we don't know HOW much Hamon Training slows down aging - while we do know that Lisa Lisa was 50 by the time of Battle Tendency yet looked like she was in her 20s, there's no sign as to how intense her training was - it could just as easily be that how much aging is slowed down depends on how intensely you train with it as it could be that just training even a little each day would have the same effect on aging as training intensely. If intensity of practice is the main factor in determining how much aging is reduced, it's possible that he might still practice 1-2 times a week just so he knows how to use it.
- This might also explain another reason why Josuke doesn't want his mother seeing Joseph. He says he doesn't want to see him be disappointed, but doesn't elaborate. Joseph probably didn't tell her his real age or the fact that he had a daughter older than her (but knew that he's married), so perhaps Josuke's trying to spare her the fact that she slept with a man in his 60's rather than his 30's.
- Part 5:
- Gangster's Paradise by Coolio.
- Fly Like an Eagle by Steve Miller Band- Alternatively, if the anime is two cours, this could be the song they use after Diavolo is introduced.
- Cool Daddy Cool by Kid Rock- Bonus points if Narancia sings Joe-C's vocals.
- Blue (Da Ba Dee) by Eiffel 65.
- Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham!. (Complete with Giorno and the gang singing and dancing to it.)
- A Bigger Mood by American Hi-Fi- Not only is it era-appropriate, the lyrics could relate to Giorno's journey to rise in the Mafia and usurping Diavolo.
- Boss Of Me by They Might Be Giants. That is, if Malcolm in the Middle doesn't have exclusivity over it.
- All Jossed. It's Freek'N You by Jordeci. The second ending theme is Modern Crusaders by Enigma.
- Part 6:
- 18 And Life by Skid Row.
- Dead End Justice by The Runaways.
- Bad Reputation by Joan Jett.
- Cherry Bomb by The Runaways.
- Ordinary World by Duran Duran.
- Roundabout by Yes for the final episode.
- Cowboy by Kid Rock
- Absolutely (Story of a Girl) by Nine Days
- Hella Good by No Doubt
- Hot Mess by Cobra Starship
- Maps by Yeah Yeah Yeahs
- Dirrty by Christina Aguilera
- Ocean Man by Ween
- Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye, as a Brick Joke continuing the theme set by I Want You and Freek'n You: "Anytime I need to see your face/I just close my eyes" -> "Every time I close my eyes/I wake up feelin' so horny" -> "And when I get that feeling/I want sexual Healing"
- Something Happened On The Way To Heaven by Phil Collins.
- Part 7:
- Turn the Page by Bob Seger.
- I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by the Proclaimers.
- A Horse With No Name by America.
- Running on Empty by Jackson Browne.
- Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi.
- Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin.
- Country Roads by John Denver.
- Shooting Star by Bad Company.
- Old Town Road by Lil Nas X.
- Hell & High Water by The Allman Brothers Band
- Part 8:
- Who Am I by Casting Crowns.
- Walk on Water by Ozzy Osbourne.
- Help, I'm a Rock by Frank Zappa.
- Becomes something greater than human like Dio Brando? Check.
- Is capable of making independent familiars from herself after becoming a Witch like how Kars could create life from himself? Check.
- Possesses the ability of Time Stands Still like The World? Check.
- Possesses the ability of "Groundhog Day" Loop like Killer Queen Bites the Dust? Check.
- Knows how everything is going to turn out before it happens (more due to "Groundhog Day" Loop) like King Crimson? Check.
- Reaches a heightened state of existence that literally rewrites the universe, as well as stealing/sealing way the powers of magical girls like Madoka and Sayaka like Whitesnake and Made in Heaven? Check.
- Possesses the ability to go to different timelines like D4C? Check.
- Particularly the ones that weren't born with their Stands like Polnareff and Kakyoin. I got the idea from this Tumblr post.
- Hermit Purple: As the Tumblr post stated, is Caesar.
- Star Platinum: Jonathan. Even though he was long dead when Jotaro was born, he gave himself to Jotaro when DIO returned to finish things once and for all.
- Holly's Stand: Erina. She wanted to be able to help Jonathan, but she underestimated how frail Holly was.
- The World: Mrs. Brando. While Dio was pure scum, his mother was one of the few people he legitimately cared about.
- Crazy Diamond: Josuke's savior. He was cut up pretty badly, and his jacket got mangled so that he could help Tomoko out of the ditch. It wouldn't be hard to believe that he passed out and froze to death in the blizzard.
- The Hand: Okuyasu's mother.
- Echoes: Kakyoin. Even though Koichi never met him, they share a few similarities, and Echoes even looks like a pint-sized Heirophant Green. Wanting to be able to help Jotaro again, Kakyoin saw Koichi as a suitable host.
- Gold Experience: Giorno's savior. Because he was a mobster, it wouldn't be too far off if he was killed by a rival family. While Giorno subconsciously used Gold Experience's ability during his encounter with the man, it didn't fully form until after he died.
- Spice Girl: Trish's mother.
- Chariot Requeim: Either Cherry, Avdol, or Iggy.
- Gold Experience Requiem: Bruno.
- Purple Haze Distortion: Narancia, or Fugo's grandmother.
- Stone Free: The man Jolyne was framed for killing. Even though he didn't know her, he wanted justice for both his murder and for the bystander that was blamed for his death.
- Kiss: Gloria.
- Burning Down the House: Emporio's mother.
- Whitesnake: Perla.
- Made in Heaven: DIO.
- Tusk: Act 1 is Danny, Act 2 and Act 3 are Nicholas and / or Johnny's mother (either one for each), and Act 4 is Gyro.
- Ball Breaker: Wekapipo.
- D4C: Valentine's father.
- Soft & Wet: Josefumi Kujo
- King Nothing, Paper Moon King... any of the Higashikata family's stands, really: Johnny Joestar
- Alternatively: King Nothing: Norisuke IV's mother
- Josephine - battled demonic pirates in the 17th century
- Josef - battled Dragons and wizards in the 6th century
- Joan - lead the French army.
- Jordan -battled demons during the Bible years
- Jonas - battles stand using androids and cyborgs in the 23rd century
- Joy - battles aliens in the 25th century
- This is going to be a multi-part theory. This will also tie Irene into the SBR-verse.
- We never actually see Johnny's star-shaped birthmark, so in the SBR-verse, it's actually the Higashikata Birth Mark.
- Josefumi has the birthmark, despite his lack of connection to the Higashikata family. Sometime after Johnny died, Rina remarried into the Kujo family and had a child. Sadafumi Kujo is her descendant since Josefumi's mother clearly doesn't have the birthmark.
- The reason why Josefumi's parents got divorced is because Sadafumi had an affair, which resulted in a pregnancy. After the divorce, Sadafumi moved to America so that he could raise his illegitimate daughter, Irene.
- Her stand, Dancing Queen, is covered in many bows.
- She's clearly one of Dio's children. Dio went to Egypt to work on his plan of achieving Heaven; the name 'Siwa' derives from the Siwa Oasis in the Egyptian desert, most famous as being the place where Alexander the Great was confirmed by an oracle as the divine son of Zeus-Ammon. To say nothing of the blond hair...
- The Rat: deadmau5.
- The Ox: Bulls On Parade.
- The Tiger: Eye of the Tiger.
- The Rabbit: White Rabbit.
- The Dragon: Imagine Dragons.
- The Snake: Cobra Starship.
- The Horse: A Horse With No Name.
- The Goat: Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep.
- The Monkey: Monkey Business.
- The Rooster: Snuff the Rooster.
- The Dog: Hound Dog.
- The Pig: War Pigs.
- Zeus: Thunderstruck.
- Poseidon: Drowning Pool.
- Hades: Thriller.
- Ares: War Machine.
- Aphrodite: You're Beautiful.
- Hermes: I Ran.
- Hephaestus: Greek Fire.
- Apollo: Walking on Sunshine.
- Artemis: Dark Side of the Moon.
- Heracles: Kryptonite.
- Dionysus: Fight For Your Right to Party.
- Iris: Rainbow in the Dark.
- Atlas: In the Air Tonight.
- Pandora: Heart Shaped Box.
- Honestly I would think the stands would just be named after Greek Gods, and their users being named after related songs. But translation errors might seriously hamper this.
- Jossed. Araki confirmed Giorno traveled to Florida during the events of Part 6 but just never did anything to Pucci
- Johnathan's spirit reincarnated as Jotaro. DIO is the literal physical reincarnation of Johnathan, being his body. Jotaro is his opposite by inheriting Johnathan's literal spirit.
- I'd actually say Star Platinum is a manifestation of Jonathan.
One of the Hamon masters in Part 1 was alive for over 1,000 years. It’s not impossible for Lisa Lisa to still be kicking up until 2012.
- Anything related to Grindcore. Even for a metal fan like Araki I doubt he would enjoy incredibly heavy lyrics mixed with the extremely fast and loud sounds.
- January: Cold As Ice.
- February: My Bloody Valentine.
- March: Dropkick Murphys (due to their Celtic influence and for performing St. Patrick's Day tours).
- April: Goldfinger (in reference to Golden Week, which starts at the end of April).
- May: Mama, I'm Coming Home.
- June: Summer of '69.
- July: Born in the U.S.A..
- August: Summer's End.
- September: Wake Me Up When September Ends.
- October: Monster Mash.
- November: November Rain.
- Confirmed in part 9!
- December: The Jesus Lizard.
Rather than wait for such adaptations, David Production could diverge from the manga and create their own Part 7 and 8 made exclusively for TV, possibly within the new universe at the end of Stone Ocean.
- Alternatively, they could make filler Parts, like Part 6.5 to explain what Passione and the Morioh group were doing at the time of Stone Ocean or Part 7.5 exploring the life of SBR-verse Joseph Joestar.
- I hope to god not.
- Alternatively there could be an alternative ending OVA for the fans that disliked the ending while the series itself uses the original ending.
- Jossed. The trailer for the second batch of episodes shows Dragon's Dream and Yo-Yo Ma.
Yasuho being Irene's mother is more of a stretch, as it wasn't clear if she and Gappy became romantically involved in the end of Part 8 - but it would certainly please the fans who ship them together...
In turn, Irene may be the mother of Part 9's JoJo.
- The problem is, this theory works on a misunderstanding of how Made In Heaven works. The "Ireneverse" and the SBRVerse aren't the same universe. Although, there isn't stopping the SBR version of Jolyne to be called Irene anyway.
