- In The Big Bang Theory, the episode "The Barbarian Sublimation" revolves around Penny getting addicted to Age of Conan.
- Blade Master, a fantasy-themed Hack and Slash arcade game, has player two being a barbarian named Arnold, a pretty direct reference towards the movies.
- In the Discworld, there is the character of Cohen The Barbarian ("Wholesale Destruction"), who has realized, with a sense of existential gloom, that he has simply been too good at being a barbarian hero and has reached the age of eighty without being seriously troubled by any opposition. Cohen's career deliberately parodies that of Conan, right down to the realization that if he does nothing about it, he'll die peacefully in his bed.
- The Barbarian class in Dungeons & Dragons was added because there was always someone who wanted to play as Conan.
- If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device has Conan as the Big E's first guise.
