- Awkwardly-Placed Bathtub: A person bathes in a bathtub that is placed in a strange part of the house.
- Bathe Her and Bring Her to Me: A villain orders his goons to bathe and groom a woman that he captured.
- Bathhouse Blitz: Attacking, kidnapping, or killing someone in a public bathhouse or sauna.
- Bathing Beauty: A character that seems to enjoy baths and showers a lot and is often shown bathing more frequently than any of the other characters.
- Bath of Poverty: A poverty stricken character who can't afford to bathe in a bathtub or shower.
- Baths Are Fun: A work, usually aimed at young children, promotes the idea that bathing can be fun.
- Bath Suicide: Someone kills themselves while bathing.
- Bathtub Bonding: Two or more characters who share a platonic bath.
- Bathtub Mermaid: A mermaid or other aquatic character who is kept in a bathtub.
- Bathtub Scene: A character who is shown bathing in a bathtub.
- Blood Bath: A character who takes a bath in a bathtub filled with blood.
- Candlelit Bath: Someone takes a luxurious bath by candlelight.
- Can't Bathe Without a Weapon: A cautious character carries a weapon with them while they bathe.
- Censor Steam: A bathing or showering character has steam from the hot water cover up their inappropriate body parts.
- Censor Suds: A bathing or showering character has suds cover up their inappropriate body parts.
- Deadly Bath: Someone dies while taking a bath.
- Don't Eat and Swim: Wait a while to go swimming after eating, or you'll drown!
- Drum Bathing: A character takes a bath inside a barrel or oil drum.
- Electrified Bathtub: Killing someone by dropping active electronics in their bathtub while they are bathing.
- Empty Swimming Pool Dive: Taking a jump before checking if the pool's filled. Most of the time, it's not.
- Flushing Toilet, Screaming Shower: A character flushes the toilet, causing the person who's showering to scream from the sudden change in water temperature.
- Forced Bath: Someone is forced by several people to take a bath.
- Forgot I Couldn't Swim: Going swimming, then remembering you don't know how.
- Furo Scene: A bathing scene involving the use of the Japanese style of bathing tub.
- Gone Swimming, Clothes Stolen: Someone swims naked and ends up having their clothes stolen.
- Grub Tub: A pool or tub is filled with something meant for consumption other than water.
- Hates Baths: A character hates having to bathe.
- High-Dive Hijinks: A character attempts to jump off a comically high diving board at a swimming pool.
- Hollywood Drowning: Drowning is more violent and loud in media than it is in Real Life.
- Hot Springs Episode: An episode where characters go to a hot springs.
- Interrupted Bath: A bathing character is interrupted by something, forcing them to stop.
- Landing in Someone's Bathtub: A fully clothed character lands in a bathtub where someone is currently bathing.
- Mermaid Arc Emergence: A character leaps out of the water, bending backwards as far as possible. Usually as a Homage to Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
- Modesty Towel: A character who just got finished bathing or showering wraps a towel around their bodies so they don't have to walk around naked until they have the opportunity to get dressed.
- Night Swim Equals Death: Character swimming at night gets killed.
- Non-Nude Bathing: Someone bathes without removing their clothes first.
- Our Showers Are Different: Bathing or showering with something other than soap and water.
- Outdoor Bath Peeping: A male character spies on a female character while she is bathing outside.
- "Psycho" Shower Murder Parody: A spoof of the iconic scene in the horror film Psycho where Norman Bates stabs Marion Crane to death while she's showering.
- Public Bathhouse Scene: Characters are seen bathing together at a bathhouse.
- Putting the Pee in Pool: Somebody pees in a swimming pool.
- Rule of Pool: If there's a swimming pool around, somebody's going to fall into it.
- Scrubbing Off the Trauma: Obsessively, furiously, and/or compulsively scrubbing oneself clean as a response to guilt, disgust, or trauma. Often occurs in showers, but not always.
- Sexy Surfacing Shot: A character surfacing or climbing out from a body of water being played for Fanservice.
- Shower of Angst: A character takes a shower following an emotional event in order to symbolically wash away their sadness.
- Shower of Awkward: A character accidentally walks in on another character who is showering.
- Shower of Love: Two characters have sex while taking a shower.
- Shower Scene: A scene where someone showers.
- Shower Shy: A character fears showering with the others at gym because of body issues.
- Singing in the Shower: A character sings while bathing.
- Skinny Dipping: Swimming while naked.
- Skinship Grope: Two girls grope each other while bathing.
- Slippery Soap: A character has trouble grabbing the soap while they bathe.
- Soap Punishment: A person gets their mouth washed out with soap as punishment for swearing.
- A Spy at the Spa: Spas, bathhouses and similar businesses used for espionage.
- Stop Drowning and Stand Up: Thinking you're drowning when you fall in water too shallow to submerge you.
- Super Drowning Skills: A character drowns the instant they hit the water.
- Super Not-Drowning Skills: A character who doesn't have to worry about breathing underwater.
- Two-Person Pool Party: Two characters have sex in a swimming pool.
- Underwear Swimsuit: A character swims in their underwear due to not having a swimsuit (and possibly not wanting to go with the alternative).
- Waterfall Shower: Someone showers in a waterfall.
