A shonen manga anthology magazine began by Kodansha in 1959, Shōnen Magazine is one of the more notable manga magazines behind Shonen Jump and Shonen Sunday.
Starting from the 1990s, the magazine gained a reputation for holding onto quite a few romance IPs, to the point where it gained the nickname "Weekly Romcom Magazine". While it does have its action and sports series, many of which have made it big, it's nowhere near as big as its catalog of iconic romance and romantic comedy manga.
Some of these series are featured in Sunday VS Magazine: Shuuketsu! Choujou Daikessen.
