Cyberpunk is a multimedia franchise originally created by Mike Pondsmith.
Starting with R. Talsorian Games' Cyberpunk, the setting sees the player as anything from a mercenary to a vagabond trying to make it in Night City, a place where mega-corps rule. Along with multiple editions released later, there was also a video game, Cyberpunk 2077, a series of comics from Dark Horse Comics, a novel, and an anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. A "live-action project" is also in the works.
The original version of Netrunner was set in the franchise before Fantasy Flight Games bought the rights and changed it to be based on Android instead.
