Megalopolis is a 2024 American epic Science Fiction drama film written, directed, and produced by Francis Ford Coppola. Coppola has projected to make it since at least 1979.
The story concerns an architect named Caeser who wants to rebuild New Rome as a utopia following a disaster that devastated the city.
The cast includes Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Giancarlo Esposito, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jason Schwartzman, James Remar, Grace VanderWaal, Kathryn Hunter, Talia Shire, Dustin Hoffman, and D.B. Sweeney.
The film will premiere at the Cannes film festival on May 17, 2024.

- Badass Fingersnap: In the first look clip, time seems to stand still after Caesar tells it to stop. Then everything is in motion again when he snaps his finger.
- The Precarious Ledge: In the first look clip, Caesar stands dangerously on a skyscraper's ledge, ready to jump.
- Time Stands Still: In the first look clip, Caesar shouts "TIME STOP!" as he jumps from The Precarious Ledge and his fall as well as the cars moving at the bottom are suddenly stopped. Then Caesar snaps his finger and the cars move again.
