Founded in 1976 by Daikichiro Kusube after A-Productions (also formed by him) split off from TMS. The studio is mostly known for Doraemon and Crayon Shin-chan. Shin-Ei Animation also did most of Fujiko Fujio's manga-to-anime adaptations after 1979, Haré+Guu, and season 3 and after of Stitch! as well. Today the studio is a 100% owned subsidiary of TV Asahi, which licenses the studio's works globally.
