Sega Pinball Inc. was an American pinball manufacturer and a subsidiary of Sega that produced digital pinball tables from 1994 to 1999. The company was the successor to Stern Electronics (1977-1987) and its successor Data East Pinball (1987-1994); Data East sold the division to Sega in 1994 due to financial difficulties. In 1999, Sega downscaled its own businesses, and sold Sega Pinball back to the Stern family, who founded Stern Pinball.
