GameTek Inc. was an American video game company based in Miami, Florida. GameTek was best known for publishing video game adaptations of television game shows of the 1980's and 1990's. They also occasionally developed and/or published some original games such as Brutal: Paws of Fury and Quarantine.
In 1996, GameTek scaled down their publishing activities and passed them over to Philips Media. In December 1997, they filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, and went out of business the next year, with Take-Two Interactive purchasing most of their assets in the meantime.
