Elliott Gould (born Elliott Goldstein; August 29, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American actor best known for his comedic roles in the films Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice and M*A*S*H, as a frequent early host of Saturday Night Live, and in numerous other films and TV series.
