Dustin Neil Diamond (January 7, 1977 – February 1, 2021) was an American actor, director, comedian, and musician best known for for portraying Samuel "Screech" Powers in the sitcom Saved by the Bell, a role that originated in the "prequel" series Good Morning Miss Bliss. He would then go on to portray "Screech" in several Saved By The Bell spin-offs including another main role in Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
In his personal life, he was married to Jennifer Misner until 2013.
In December 2020, he was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of lung cancer note and died from it only a couple months later; his last moments were with girlfriend Tash Jules and a good friend.
