Awesome Music pages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.
- Colliding Souls (or "Clashing Souls", depending on the translation). Used for most of the battles between the heroic Servant Spirits.
- Along with a pretty bitchin' remix that takes it up a notch.
- And we also have the Playstation Vita verson, this time with more realistic sounding instruments!
- Breach is normally used for hyping up moments or for when shit gets real.
- Sword of Promised Victory. The game's Noble Phantasm theme, when someone's about to go "gloves off" with an epic attack, like Saber pulling out Excalibur in Fate, Lancer's ultimate attack with Gae Bolg in UBW, or Rider and Shirou combining their ultimate attacks to take down Saber Alter (calling back nicely to the first example).
- The anime version is pretty badass as well.
- As well as the Fate/Zeronote "RETURN TO ZERO" version.
- Hollow Ataraxia version: Excalibur.
- From Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA, we get this version used when Illya and Miyu were fighting Saber Alter.
- The Realta Nua version has one remix for Saber and another used by Saber Alter.
- The ufotable anime version is significantly shorter, but makes up for it in epicness.
- The Unlimited Codes remix is a rather unique take that suits its use in a fighting game.
- From the Realta Nua version: Mighty Wind. The music that plays when Shirou takes on Saber Alter one - on - one... and wins at the cost of his mind. Badass Background Music for such a badass Bad End.
- Also in an awesome Unlimited Codes remix.
- And now we have the incredibly awesome Vita remix.
- Yume no Owari (End of the Dream). Also from the Realta Nua version in the Last Episode, when Shiro and Saber finally reunite.
- "EMIYA", aka Shirou's theme. When this cues up, Shirou will re-invent the word badass:
- EMIYA #0, a techno version.
- EMIYA #1, the Visual Novel version.
- EMIYA #2, the Hollow Ataraxia version.
- EMIYA Kenji Kawai Ver., the Anime version.
- EMIYA Kenji Kawai Ver.2, the Movie version.
- EMIYA -time alter-, the Fate/Zero version for the father's music of badassery.
- -EMIYA-, the Unlimited Codes version.
- Blade Soul, a remix from Battle Moon Wars, specifically Shirou's version of it.
- Red Illusion, another remix from Battle Moon Wars, Archer's version.
- Archer, The Hero Who Nobody Knows - Servant Stay Night, the Fate/EXTRA version of "EMIYA".
- EMIYA -EXTELLA- the Fate/EXTELLA version, which takes some cues from the Fate/EXTRA one.
- Crow's Claw's first version of "EMIYA".
- Broken Phantasm, Crow's Claw's second version of "EMIYA".
- South of Heaven's version of "EMIYA".
- EMIYA -faith / denial-
- EMIYA Trance Mix.
- EMIYA ZTS Remix.
- Azureflux's electronic version, Physicality.
- Faker Hero, do you have enough remixes? If not, try REMIYAX, a remix megamix.
- And now with the PlayStation Vita rerelease of Realta Nua, perhaps the most awesome: Emiya -2012-. How do they make it more awesome? Three words: One-Woman Wail. BUT WAIT: we also have EMIYA #LEGACY which is a rock remix of "EMIYA -2012-".
- Shoujo Shinka, Illya's EMIYA theme.
- "The Sight of the End", a variant of Illya's version of the theme used for Miyu's older brother, an alternate universe Shirou, with a much more melancholy tone.
- The 2015 Version by Hideyuki Fukasawa. It has a stronger beat and is somewhat quieter than the others, but is quite possibly the most heart-wrenching and spine-chilling edition of the theme yet. Also used in Fate/Stay UBW.
- For Fate/Grand Order, "Unsigned (Unsourced) Blade Works", an all-new remix of "EMIYA" for Sengo Muramasa, here.
- The Heaven's Feel film trilogy, which otherwise doesn't do VN song remixes, finally does so for EMIYA, combined with a reprise of Kalafina's "Believe", and it is beautiful.
- Light and Darkness. The Heaven's Feel final battle music between Shirou and Kotomine. The Crowning Moment within the music is actually the fanfare at about :53, which coincides with Shirou's final burst of Heroic Resolve and frenzied counterattack against Kotomine. The metal remix makes it even better by slipping into This Illusion piano strokes near the end. The Realta Nua Vita also remixed this Light and Darkness.
- All Evils of the World. A remix of the earlier track "Church on the Hill", it plays throughout most of the climactic scenes in Heaven's Feel. It also does an excellent job serving as Dark Sakura and Angra Mainyu's Theme.
- The Fate/zero version for your pleasure, and the equally awesome Fate/Unlimited Codes version.
- Realta Nua adds another remix of "Church On The Hill"/"All The Evils Of The World", In The Name Of God which also plays during some of the most climatic scenes in that route, but is instead bone-chillingly epic and at the same time incredibly emotional, doing an astounding job at setting the mood for the scenes it plays in. The Realta Nua Vita version of All Evil of the World sounds just as foreboding as the original.
- Of course, no list is complete without the awesome opening theme of the game. Awesome as that is, it's still topped by the Piano Instrumental Version, which plays over most of the emotional scenes in the game. Now comes in a bitching Instrumental Version, which plays when Rin faces Dark Sakura and her shadow monsters with the magical gem sword Zelretch.
- Here's the Symphonic Version for your consideration.
- And also the Metal Version.
- Thanks to the 2014 anime, we have Lisa's Version.
- Whirlpool of Fate, most memorably played during the reveal of the second Archer-class servant's true identity in the Fate route.Saber: That's... impossible! (cue "Whirlpool of Fate")
- It also plays during the aftermath of the titanic battle between Archer (aka "Heroic Spirit Emiya Shirou") and Berserker (aka Hercules) note . See the Moment of Awesome page for details on the battle.
- The ultimate Tear Jerker song from the video game is Ever-present Feeling. It plays during very sad and emotional scenes, but it takes the cake during the part that Shirou stabs Saber Alter with the Azoth Dagger.
- Going with the theme of sad songs, Realta Nua's Sorrow as well.
- An awesome remix of the earlier mentioned Ever-present Feeling for your listening pleasure.
- Kaleid has two of them, a standard version and a music box variant.
- The Menu theme was so awesome that it was cut and remixed to be used in conjunction with Fox Caster's Noble Phantasm, Caster, An Extra Life With Anyone She Wants.
- The theme song from Fate/unlimited codes, code.
- New Dawn which plays at the end of all three routes. After seeing all the struggle and conflict the characters go through at their darkest hour, when victory is finally achieved and the Holy Grail War is over, this theme plays. It's warm, embracing rhythms is simple yet so strong. It's the kind of theme that tells you "Yes, it's finally over. You've won and have earned your happy ending." The UBW anime by ufotable brings us a remix.
- Turning Seasons, the song that plays during the the first two credits, and Turning Seasons 2 that plays after finishing Heaven's Feel. They increase the level of feels of the aforementioned "New Dawn", while giving it a fitting end.
- Each of the three routes from the PS Vita version of Realta Nua comes with their own opening song, all performed by earthmind.
- Fate Stay Night (the original route) has "ARCADIA".
- Unlimited Blade Works has "HORIZON" (a slight remix of "ARCADIA").
- Heaven's Feel has "Another Heaven".
- Deep Slumber, the very first track you'll hear if you play the Realta Nua version, is a heavy, mystical piece that serves as a great way of introducing you to the Visual Novel. Then there's the remix used in the Unlimited Blade Works anime's final credits sequence.
- Myth Revived from the Realta Nua Fate route truly shows the desperation of the Saber and Co's struggle against Berserker.
- For all of the 2006 anime's faults and whatever your personal opinion, there's no denying that it got the soundtrack right.
- Opening 1: Disillusion.
- Ending 1: Anataga Ita Mori ("The forest where you are").
- Opening 2: Kirameku Namida wa Hoshi ni.
- Ending 2: Kimi to no Ashita, a beautiful finale song fitting for the anime to end on.
- Unmei no Yoru ("Night of Fate"), the song to play when you draw your sword, fight alongside your love interest and win the Holy Grail War. The UBW movie track of the same name increases the awesome.
- And the same goes for Tenchi Hou Take ("Roar of the Universe").
- Kizuna. Doubly so when played with Rainy Mood.
- La Sola for sheer heart-wrenching emotion of Saber's death.
- Saber's arrival is heralded by Kishi Ou no Hokori ("Pride of the King of Knights").
- Its prequel, Fate/Zero, also has music to rival the previous game in its two soundtracks. Besides "EMIYA", "The Sword of Promised Victory" and "All Evils of the World", of particular note are:
- The Lancer.
- The Berserker. Ominous Pipe Organ meets Electric Guitar.
- Magus Killer - Kiritsugu Emiya's leitmotif.
- The Dogfight.
- The Battle Field.
- This Day, And Never Again, the theme for the final battle between Rider and Gilgamesh, in which Gilgamesh honors his opponent by holding nothing back and showing him the truth of Ea.
- The Battle is to the Strong, used primarily for Berserker's fights, but also gets use during the final duel between Kiritsugu and Kotomine.
- "She Rules the Battlefield" from the Lost Butterfly movie, used during the battle between Berserker and Saber Alter. As normal Saber, Saber could barely stand up to Berserker. As Alter, she proceeds to kick ass all over the monstrous Servant with her endless supply of mana.
- "He Keeps Coming Back Again And Again" from the Lost Butterfly movie, used in the fight between Berserker against Saber Alter, in which the Berserker shows the full extent of his Manliness EX ability by no-selling the Black Mud of the Grail and manhandling Saber Alter through the whole fight, and Saber Alter showing the full extent of her powers, mainly her ability to endlessly spam Mana Burst, with each burst slowly becoming more and more powerful in order to be able to defeat Berserker.
