COI

Hello, I saw your comment about the COI on my page. I was working with serveral reviewers for over 2 weeks to make sure the page was notable and didn't sound like an advertisement. However, now the page is just deleted... The page got actively reviewed and declined with proper reasons for about 2 weeks and I kept improving, asking for feedback and even getting help from other creators to improve the page. After getting a massiv help for SportFlyer, the article didn't get declined for over a month. He said it was good on the peacock words etc and he needed a dutch speaking person to review it to make sure the references were notable. however now the article is just deleted and there's nothing I can do about it, did I lose out on 2 weeks of work for nothing ? I tried to make it as factual as possible and I'm not getting paid by the company to write it either. Is there anything else I can do ? cause this is a really shitty situation I'm in right now since I feel like I wasted 2 weeks talking to other people and actively updating the document with the feedback from others. — Preceding unsigned comment added by VindevogelTaho (talkcontribs) 12:20, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

VindevogelTaho, this article has been declined multiple times. You seem unwilling or unable to learn, and even in its latest form it's largely unreferenced, and where you do have sources they don't meet the guidelines I posted on your talk page, and they have also been left as bare urls. Apart from a bit of history, what you consider important isn't boring stuff like number of employees turnover or profits, what you give us is a section on what you consider notable products, awards and accomplishments (of course!), and finally a products list.
You have declared as a paid editor, so I don't know why you are denying it now. You will be blocked if you don't declare a COI
I see little of value in your draft, but since you have invoked other editors I'll consult: CASSIOPEIA, SportingFlyer, WikiDan61, I don't know how well you remember this, but if you consider anything here salvageable please let know. I've posted guidance on this user's talk page if he wants to try again in conformity with our policies, but I'm not minded to restore the deleted text unless you consider that worthwhile. I recall the article title and having looked at it, but not the content. Since I have no access to the deleted copy, I have no comment to add. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:38, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I believe I might be the first reviewer to comment on the draft page. The draft page was full of external links in the body text and not adhere to WP:NPOV and listed many products and unnecessary company info in details. Creator has updated some sources on the draft page on their later edits and did indicated the edits on the article talk page as well. Since the page is deleted, I cant really able to make a judgement if the subject is notable under WP:NCORP or not. Thank you and cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 05:07, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Jim, I'm not denying the COI, someone told me to put the COI there, but i'm not getting any payment for this. I am confused why you told me I'm unwilling to learn when I have consulted many other wikipedians and the live chat many times aswell as read all the articles any denier has ever linked to me. The artcile started out as a hot mess with internal links everywhere etc, the first time I got told it wasn't notable so I added sources etc. And after submitting it 4 times or so I got proper help from SportingFlyer who told me to link the 3 most notable links on the talk page, I removed all external links. I'm also confused how you tell me the article is largely unreferenced when most of the information is taken directly from references. I'm just slightly annoyed that I spent 2 weeks working with others and improving the article for you to come around and tell me I'm not willing to learn when I spent hours apon hours reading stuff on wikipedia to try and improve the article... I hope SportingFlyer can remember that he commented on the page that he worked with me, I was cooperative and that he needed a dutch person to check the references for notability after I put the 3 most notable articles on the talk page. I am aware the page was declined 5 times, but there is no way of getting feedback on the page unless submitting it, so If I want to learn it has to be declined multiple times. Thank you for your timeVindevogelTaho (talk) 10:07, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you have no WP:COI, why are you so insistent on writing this article and no other? I said you aren't learning because despite all the advice, you are still not wikilnking, still using bare urls, still posting unreferenced text and still listing their products despite dvice not to do so. With only 10 employees, the company probably isn't notable anyway, but I'll wait to see if SportingFlyer sees any merit in restoring Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:50, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

COI delaration and Wikilink Issues

Hi, I understand the fact that there might be some lack of wikilinks as I researched a lot before posting but couldn't find much about the same, however I request you to please consider the fact that unlike western countries In India the there are only national newspaper articles or national news articles/images to state and support the facts and I have provided most of them in the references. I have submitted the references only of the trusted national and international news sources in India such as Hindustan Times, Business Wire, Times Of India etc. I am again posting a Draft keeping in consideration of all the concerns raised for the previous one, however, I just want you to check the draft and advice if anything else is required took help from the live chat too but you being an admin could possibly help out making the draft worth to an article on Wikipedia. I request you please check with the same and please not to block so that at least I may have a chance to improve if anything else may be required. I assure that this draft would be much better than the previous one would remove all the deemed "promotional content" as you said have no valid grounds.Gurvindersingh3878 ([[User talk:Gurvindersingh3878|talk]]) 04:43, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Girth Summit, something amiss here I think (: Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:33, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - yes, I tagged it because they'd added a load of inappropriate stuff on their again, but I guess you were logged as the page creator because of your message on there, so you got notified of the tag instead of them - sorry about that!
Is CSD the best approach for someone using their user talk page (instead of user page) for promotion - should I be doing something else instead?GirthSummit (blether) 13:37, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Girth Summit, no problem, it was obvious what had happened. Yes, CSD is fine, I normally then delete so the history is clean and then advise, warn or block as appropriate. In this case, he's on a yellow card, and next time I'll block and revoke talk page access. Keep up the good work, Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:42, 27 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not trying to be advertorial, I've just noticed that others in the industry also have one, and wanted to provide that same relevant information to wiki users. I understand the concept of COI and would like to ensure that anything COI related will be taken off from the page I am editing hence request you to restore the article has it involved months of research. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jarvis crypter (talkcontribs) 03:58, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Jarvis crypter I have told you in the line above that we don't restore copyright violations, you have been told the same at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. It will not be restored.
Even without the copyright violation, I would have deleted it as advertising.
I see that you have removed the COI tag from your user page. You have only ever edited this one article, which you say you have put "months of work" into. You seem also to know a great deal about the company, including what its strategic thinking is, for someone who is unconnected with the business. I find it extraordinary that you should put all that time and effort into an article about a company with which you claim to have no connection. If you really don't have any COI, your best plan would be to write about something less contentious and forget this.
Be aware that now you have removed your COI declaration, if I or another admin find reason to believe that you are a COI editor, you will be blocked on that basis Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:55, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:Angel of the North (2017 film)

Hello Jim I wrote and posted a new plot to the page Draft:Angel of the North (2017 film). As a beginner, I would like to know if I should ask you to review it or what are the next steps to take to finalise the page before its approval and publishing. Thank you for your time and your answer in advance. George Klaudiny (talk) 10:30, 28 March 2019 (UTC)George Klaudiny[reply]

George Klaudiny, I made these edits, mainly MoS, but I've tagged a sentence in the Plot section which is giving an opinion rather than describing the film, and needs a good reference or removal. I won't review myself since I've been too involved, but when you are ready, put {{subst:submit}} at the top of your draft and wait for a reviewer Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:34, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education

Some minor changes to Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education

Jim, I made a few changes to the wiki on the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. CAHME moved its offices to Spring House, Pennsylvania in 2019. We also lost a corporate member, so we are now at 10...these are the ten that are reflected in the wiki. Also, I dropped out "graduate" from our motto. We are working to advance the quality of healthcare management education. Jim, I appreciate your monitoring of the wiki. If you would like any additional details, let me know. You were very helpful when I made edits about a year ago. Please note that the changes do not reflect a commercial change, rather they are intended to be a more accurate representation of the state of CAHME. The source for all of this is the CAHME website, and me...I have the honor of heading up this small non-profit. Best, Anthony Ant sta (talk) 02:09, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ant sta, in general you should not edit articles where you have a conflict of interest. However, in this case, as you say, it's an obvious factual fix. Thanks for letting me know Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:40, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim,

Could you please undelete the CogStat article? There was nothing promotional about it, all the information was factual. Also, because the automatic feature is not available in any other similar software (or only in some rudimentary way) it is worth mentioning in Wikipedia. Overall, including it in Wikipedia is informative and factual. If you have any other specific issue with the article, please note it specifically (I mean not with the general templates, because many details of them are not relevant here), so we can handle it.
