Reversion of edits to page Take That

Hi Davey,

On August 3rd you reverted my edits to the page Take That. Specifically, you removed a visual timeline I had created showing the members of the band over time. I find it hard to understand how making a visual timeline is now an example of unconstructive editing when such timelines are commonplace on many similar pages to Take That?

As far as I'm concerned, it's also rather demeaning for you to give me the whole 'Welcome to Wikipedia' standardised response that you posted on my talk page. I have been contributing consistently to Wikipedia for well over 2 years, during which time I have made thousands of constructive edits.

Nope I never reverted, Some IP reverted you and I simply gave you a warning, Robbies career is all mentioned above so I didn't see much point it being there, Usually they're added if new members come & go which other than Robbie none have,

As for the warning I apologize for that I assumed you added it more than once as there was a chunk of crap added by an IP but you hadn't - I've removed the warning :)

Admin?

I see you got into a bit of a dust-up about Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2016 Formula One season (3rd nomination). For what it's worth, I probably wouldn't have closed it so quickly. Sure, it was heading firmly in the snow-keep direction, but it wouldn't have hurt to let it run a couple of days. I don't think what you did was wrong, but maybe not the very best choice of action.

That being said, the big picture is I've seen you at AfD a lot and you seem to be like a pretty reasonable person, so would you mind if I nominated you to be an admin? You're already doing much of the work an admin does anyway, so why not get a mop of your own? -- RoySmith (talk) 00:11, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

Hi Davey2010, I'm not going to make a big fuss, take this to DRV, or anything like that, but I notice that you both opened and then closed the above AFD. Per WP:BADNAC, I don't think this was appropriate, specifically because you "expressed an opinion in the discussion". Even as an admin, I choose to leave discussions I start for someone else to close, even in cases where the outcome is obvious. Deleting changes made to article: Kemsey railway station

Hi Davey. I'm SoutheasternTrains but you can call me Chris. At 16:01 today I added content to the article of Kemsley railway station. Then, you deleted it. Why? I live in Kemsley, I use the station everyday and I am also a train entusiast. I added content about the services and you deleted it. I know the station and services through Kemsley like the back of my hand. I would just like to say that I think I have right to post extra content. Please let me know why you deleted my edit.

I apologize for not using the edit summary, I reverted you as your username implied you worked for SE trains, I would strongly recommend you change your username as that way no one can say you work for the company,

As for the reversion - I reverted as obviously assumed you simply worked for said company,

Abellio London

Can I please get something straight here - why have you removed the bus types/allocated routes etc. from ONE depot which have been there for years without dispute or questioning and not any others? Why have you removed them when someone else was disputing against the only line that was left? I will say it looked far better before all the bickering. kline

Everything I changed on Kline is reliably sourced as I work for the damn company... soon to be Tiger Blue (brought to you by kline) but that's not until October... The 901 runs every Sunday through the year from Elland depot (kline driver tho) the 900 summer service on a Sunday has been replaced with the latter... and we have 4 new Kirklees drivers due to the cutbacks and we have been honoured with the access bus contracts. Using 2 accounts and or editing an article you're affiliated with can get you blocked,

As for the edits - You were reverted as you removed parts of the article that didn't need to be removed, and what you added was unsourced..... If a service has stopped running you should then find a cite that says just that,

There's certainly alot of suspicion over both the users and but for months I've noticed promo with quite alot of different accounts during last year... Undid closure

I undid your closure because your speedy keep does not seem to be in one of the main qualifiers of WP:KEEP. Additionally, you mention 'socks' but also don't notice that the last three keep votes seem to be from SPAs as well. In response I must highlight the fact the section in which I posted is dedicated to criticism of the operaton of Poundland and cites specific cases, no different to my own offering. It is in the public interest, and I feel the public have a right to be made aware of the risks they face in Poundland's handling of customers when things go wrong.

(talk page stalker) There is no blanket ban on information but it does have to be taken from reliable published sources such as national newspaper articles. Social media are not regarded as reliable sources. Personal experience is not allowed here either. Davey2010, as far as I can tell you commented this out on the September 10 page, but it hasn't been closed and it hasn't been relisted. Can you please figure out what happened and take the appropriate next step—or, since I see you've actually !voted, find someone else to do so? It needs to be rescued from limbo. Thank you very much. Davey2010 has been an editor since OCT 2010 but became more active JAN 2013 and now has over 12000 edits with almost 50% in article space. A New Page Patroller, he intervenes against vandalism and improper usernames. He has an additional 300 edits at Commons. Always congenial, he is willing to discuss differences without rancor and will admit to mistakes. This paraphrased comment from a newbee sums up Davey2010's way of being...."Although many others have tried to give me the same information, I got your message and yours was the first (I understood)". He improves many articles about various British TV Series and is vigilant in addressing promotional concerns on WP:UAA and WP:AIV. Davey also appears to be active in AfD discussions, where positive participation is valued. His interactions with other editors, even those he has reported, have been civil.
