Clean Up Old Discussions

Curious what you think should be done to improve the page past a C rating. Gershonmk (talk) 22:31, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Gershonmk. I'd suggest adding an infobox; {{Infobox Jewish leader}} or {{Infobox person}} would work. Having less of the article as bulleted lists and more as encyclopedic text would also be necessary. Carter (talk) 00:07, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 18

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sámi people, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Karelian.

I have submitted a userbox request at Wikipedia_talk:Userboxes/Ideas#Request_-_April_17,_2021. Please do it. 64.121.103.144 (talk) 22:09, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I might do some, but I'm not willing to promise to commit to it at this point. Carter (talk) 18:23, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UBX

do all of my ubxes. it's supermassive. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Userboxes/Ideas#Request_-_April_17,_2021 98.148.167.84 (talk)

I might do some, but I'm not really interested in committing to a giant list. Carter (talk) 18:23, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

29 April 2020

Hi, I undid your reversion of my edits to the Know Nothing Page because of a mistake I feel like you made in understanding my reasoning; my use of the descriptor "republican" was not in reference to the US Republican Party, and my use of the descriptor was not originally added by me - it was present in the article before 23 March 2021. StalwartGrantist (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 21:09, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. You're right, I glossed the edit incorrectly. Carter (talk) 21:19, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Userbox problem

The Starship userbox you created has am image which is out of date. Please use the first image in the SpaceX Starship article. Starship SLS (formerly IP 64.121.103.144) (talk) 23:47, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

StarshipSLS That image doesn't scale well for an infobox. Can you suggest one that is more horizontal or square in orientation? Carter (talk) 11:50, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UBX

I split my ubx requests into multiple pieces. so all of them slowly because that's your style, also, the space-loving guy has lots of requests to finish.98.148.167.84 (talk) 02:50, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

98.148.167.84, I'd suggest you learn how to make infoboxes yourself. I'm not really interested in most of the ones you're proposing and trying to dig up and align appropriate images for all of them isn't something I have time for. Carter (talk) 11:54, 30 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
Thank you so much for creating userboxes for the Rocketry WikiProject! It has been such a relief that I don't have to create the templates alone! When I first saw that you posted the templates on the request, I was like: "Wow! He is really good!" Thank again for you're work and effort on the userboxes. It has not gone unnoticed! Userboxes

Thank you for doing my requests! May you please take another bite at it, but stop when you feel like it. 98.148.167.84 (talk) 01:46, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Etienne de Perier

Hi Tcr25, thanks for your comment. I read the article Francisco Bouligny (almost the same as my editor's name!) to which you contributed. Its a clear and well written article, it's a shame that Étienne de Perier it’s not written this way. Regards, --Belyny (talk) 23:05, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I agree that de Perier needs significant work. I've just been trying to work around the edges on it, but wasn't ready to dive head on into fixing it :). Carter (talk) 23:11, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

For information: LouisianaDavis and Caux9 are Sockpuppets

Hi Carter,

Just let you know that LouisianaDavis and Caux9 are the same guy already blocked for Sockpuppetry on French Wikipedia (on Perier Family). I made a request about this repeated dishonest behavior [1]. Regards, --Belyny (talk) 18:31, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Belyny. I know there's an open sockpuppet investigation going on around this. Still I'm trying to help manage the rewrite process on Perier as best I can. Given that we haven't gotten to any of the controversial parts yet, I don't know if that will be possible but we can all hope and try to create a good article. Carter (talk) 18:35, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for this pertinent comment Belyny.
I think we're going to have a great article thanks to your help, which so far has been invaluable, Carter.
I wish you a good day,
LouisianaDavis (talk) 18:53, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Know Nothing

A sockpuppet restored an old version of this page, I've reverted their edit and if the page isn't already on your watchlist, I recommend you add it, they've been edit warring on other pages with other IPs that are linked to the original sockpuppet. Cheers, --Vacant0 (talk) 13:27, 27 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Carter (talk) 14:01, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

of an edit I just made. It has caused me to dig out my History of Iceland, with my grandfather's name written in it, and perhaps make some more edits, or maybe just read it. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 18:39, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That's awesome, Carptrash. Enjoy! —Carter (talk) 18:41, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sciencefish. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Fantasy Trip, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
