Evangelion Story (Ikari Shinji/Ogata Megumi)

The current Focus magazine (a weekly tabloid) has some pictures from the upcoming Evangelion movie. It has four pictures of the live action scenes. There were pictures of Mitsuishi Kotono and Hayashibara Megumi's legs. Kotono is dressed as Misato, but Megumi is dressed in an OL (office lady) like attire..

They played Zankoku na Tenshi no Teeze by Takahashi Yoko.

The first guest was Tachiki Fumihiko, who was growing a beard, and who had finished the recording for the movie on Monday (6/9). He played the quiz game with a listener, and they got 7 questions correct. Fumihiko was answering the questions in Gendou's voice. [If they get 10 questions correct, the guest and listener both get 100,000 yen.]

Then they played Tamashii no Rufran by Takahashi Yoko.

Q: Are there any live action scenes for you?
Fumihiko: No. Girls only. The male fans will be happy.

Q: Can you say any of the new lines from the movie?
Fumihiko [in a voice like he is dying]: Rei!
Q: Is Gendou going to die?
Fumihiko: Maybe.

Q: Do you get any harassment because you did Gendou's voice?
Fumihiko: No. But I did get recognized on the train.

Q: How was the recording for Gendou's voice?
Fumihiko: It took two days, and there are more lines than usual.

Q: If you didn't do Gendou, which character would you like to do?
Fumihiko: Rei. I like the character Rei, and I also like the way she talks, from a seiyuu point of view.
Q: Are there many scenes with Gendou talking to Rei?
Fumihiko: Yes, also Yui.

Before leaving, Fumihiko said that he was doing a voice in a TV anime called Grander Musashi, a story about fishing.

The "Evangelion Story" was by Ikari Shinji (Ogata Megumi). Shinji talked about himself, and some of the characters around him. The BGM were a lot of songs and music from Evangelion. This monologue was about 2 minutes 40 seconds long.

The second guest was Ogata Megumi, who said that her throat was sore from the Evangelion recording on Sunday and Monday. She played the quiz game with a listener, and they got 8 questions correct.

Then they played Time Leap by Ogata Megumi.

Ogata Megumi answered some questions.

Q: Was there a lot of screaming?
Megumi: Yes.

Q: Who does Shinji like? Rei or Asuka?
Megumi: Both.. but I don't think he really likes either.
Q: Is there anything in the movie regarding the relationships?
Megumi: It's just like the usual Shinji. But with Rei.. there was that shocking scene in the Rebirth movie (in the spring). This time that same scene was made longer.
Q: Did you retake the voices of the Rebirth part?
Megumi: Yes, all scenes were redone.

Q: What is the black moon?
Megumi: I don't know about it too well. Shinji doesn't have to know.. Kaoru and Rei are the ones who explain things. The last scene, which is about 5 pages in the script, took one and a half hours to record. The scene is only about 2 or 3 minutes.
Q: Were there a lot of lines for Shinji in that scene?
Megumi: None. It was only adlib.

There will be an Evangelion concert (orchestra) on 7/6 to 7/8. Megumi will be one of the guests on 7/6.
