It’s part of an old cat tree. He still lies through it but tonight he lay upside down in it haha.

This is how he usually lies in and a pic of him in the same tube as a tiny kitten.

Aww, that's so funny and sweet! :D. Love the one of him as a kitten too. Bless the dear boy. :)

I think I'll try taking the tunnel off our old cat tree and see if it will get used on the floor. (it has never been used on the cat tree) Two of mine love their big floor tunnel and being under things. :)

I don't know about others, but Jasper is probably the most predictable cat you could ever find. Virtually everything he does takes some form of routine and you can just about predict exactly what he'll be doing at any specific time of the day or night in fact we've nicknamed him Captain Predictable, he's so consistent :D

He was never allowed into our bedroom during the night until he was just over 6 months old but we eventually let him come in and sleep in the bedroom once we knew how he would behave and he's got into a proper bedtime routine which synchronises with ours completely and he never disturbs us. He used to sleep at our feet on the bed but after I got him his cat barrel he sleeps up there every night as I suspect he doesn't like us moving our feet about and disturbing him. We leave the bedroom door slightly ajar for him so that he can come and go as he pleases but more often than not he sleeps right through on his bed.

Last night I was up quite late ( as usual) and he was asleep on the landing outside my study door as he doesn't like the light on when he goes to sleep and when I switched off and went into the bedroom and en suite to brush my teeth he followed me and by the time I'd finished cleaning my teeth and switched off the light, there he was jumping up onto his cat barrel as usual and went straight to sleep and we never heard a peep from him until around 7.00am.
He clearly knows he is not to disturb us when we're sleeping and never does though over the last few weeks I've been aware that he's come up to our faces purring loudly at around 5.30-6.00am to see if we're awake but never tries to wake us and will sit there waiting patiently until we get up or until we start talking and that is then his cue to get a bit of attention. from us.
Normally he waits for me going to bed before he gets onto his own bed but tonight I have something temporarily blocking the study door which means it can't be closed so he didn't like the light tonight and went to bed around midnight.

Really it's like having a little person living with us rather than a cat.:)

I will try, but as I definitely can’t compete with their speed, I won’t promise.

Yeah it’s worth a try! Pippin loves being under things too. Almost sat on her a few times as she’s been under the covers of my bed:eek: fingers crossed they like the tunnel on the floor :)

My Cosmo does the same thing with his litter tray! He'll do his VERY best to bury it by pawing at the wooden floor, I don't think he's grasped that it doesn't work yet...

He's also become a little obsessed with my hairbands of late, and will stop at nothing to find them.
I 'hid' one on my bedroom door handle for maybe 10 minutes, but he noticed and ever since will not stop jumping up and meowing at the handle, trying to get his prize! He keeps shutting himself in my room that way bless. He lights up the moment he sees me pull out a hair tie, no other toys will satisfy him once he's seen the object of his desire and he makes sure to loudly let me know. :')

Macavity is also weird with his litter tray - sometimes he covers, sometimes not, but will always paw at the plastic edge, walls or carpet right outside for ages.

He likes to paddle in a shallow bath & drink out of the tap. It's best when I run a little bit of water for him & float a toy or two...

He's a shoulder sitter, but his balance isn't great so I regularly have accidental scratches on my neck/shoulder area. I trim his nails regularly which only helps a little!

He will sometimes dip his paw into water to drink - I've even seen him reach up into the ferret cage to dip his paw into their water bowl...

He regularly hides toys, just like the ferrets do! The big furniture doesn't get moved often, but when it does we recover loads of toys I'd forgotten buying...

He plays fetch down the stairs, but only with certain toys. Mousies are best, especially if they squeak. They do need to be light enough to pick up & carry easily in his mouth, but heavy enough to be thrown a reasonable distance...

Here he is keeping me company during supper last night, deciding if he'd like to try my artichoke!

One of mine loves to lounge with one 'arm' supported by a higher object (think model laying on a sofa with her arm on the armrest). She will use anything firm for this purpose ... the hearth, my leg, the laptop .... she also does this weird double bum shuffle when laying down. I've never had any other cat do this before, ever. When we had full length net curtains in the front window instead of pulling it aside with a paw or wriggling behind it from the bottom she would go to the very end of the windowsill then spin in a tight pirouette. The net curtain caught on her fur and was pulled aside leaving her behind the curtain when she'd finished a full revolution. Again something I've never seen any other cat do.

Oh I forgot - Sandy is also obsessed with my earplugs. I won't let him near them as I'm worried he would accidentally swallow one - but it doesn't stop him having a good old sniff (even when in my ears!).

I have long hair and therefore end up with the damn stuff stuck in plugholes requiring regular removal. Since I've had Freya and Rafa though I don't have to worry as they sit patiently in the bath or sink and tease the hair out leaving it in a neat pile for me!

Teddy has a lovely habit of jumping on the wooden chest in my bedroom to look out of the window at his kingdom. However to do this he has learned to pull open the curtains and blinds - perhaps a little too well as I've been sat in the bed starkers or next to it when all of a sudden in erupts Teddy and whisks the curtains open thus exposing his poor mother to the world. He'll have the police on me one day I swear.

OMG TM, Mr T is exactly the same! When he sleeps or elaxes, one paw must be up highter than the other. He normally hooks his claws into the sofa arm or a handy leg to achieve this goal, but it's so funny to watch.

My guys do so many strange things I don't know where to start! Tango, mr nice but dim, will regularly run into door frames, walls, furnature... You name it. He's learned that he can't be on the sofa any more when we're eating, but this is literally because he doesn't look before he jumps, so we have on more than one occasion, ssat down to eat a meal that it's taken us ages to make only to find we have a plateful of cat! He also roars to tell me when he thinks he would like to go to the toilet, when he's in the toilet and when he's been to the toilet (not pain related). He humps Zippy when she's in call even though he showed little to no interest as an entire, and still to this day hasn't worked out how to actually get the goods where the good spot is if you follow my drift! Still, he enjoys himself trying! He gets lost in the middle of an empty hallway and howls and yells until we either call him (mostly this doesn't work), or find him and carry him to safety. I have experience of this one as one cat or another I've owned has always always done this without fail... Maybe it's a Persian thing for the particularly dim ones!

Zippy's a chatterbox. She comes and tells tales on Tango if he's done something naughty. She likes to organise the household, so will inform me if something's not to her liking. She regularly tells ff the OH for having a shower (this is very funny as she will literally sit outside the door and wait for him, then harrang him the whole time he's drying off afterwards). This changes to sweet little chirps of encouragement when the towel disappears and she can see he's getting dressed, then outright huffing when he actually leaves for work. She loves springs and will carry them like a dog. Loves men more than anything in the world. Will howl in the middle of the night for no reason as though she wants comfort, come running to find us when I call her, then refuses to even acknowledge that I'm alive and breathing.

Both have always been wall/roof/floor scratchers in the tray department, but rather than being a territorial thing, this has been taught to them by the other, senior cats in my household when they were young and impressionable. It's all changed since they moved to the Litter Robots though. Now they will have a little dig and not bother, as they know it will be whisked away in a few minutes anyway. Zippy will come tell me if someone's dropped a cling on though, and will do her utmost to tidy it away by covering it with the carpet. They both scratch around their food bowls whether it's something they love or hate... Strange animals, cats!

Dexter likes to announce when he’s home, and keeps doing so until you answer. Then he runs in with a look about him like , oh, thank god I found you!.
Alfie loves to sit on the side of the bath with his paws on the sink and watch me brush my teeth. I thought he might want running water and showed him but nope. Just looks at me with utter fascination every time.

My oldest cat Molly is quite the hunter! She regularly catches me a stray, wild sock and yowls top pitch for a Dreamie in return.

Lucifer my middle cat child has an obsession for plastic wrappers and not in a good way, we have to be so careful about what gets left around as he will eat it! He also has a fetish for my bare legs, when fresh out of the shower he will lick and nibble at my ankles.... kinky beast!

Daisy my baby girl doesn’t even realise she’s a cat, bless her. She was a hand rear from just days old. She never meows but just chirrups constantly its the sweetest noise! She lives to wibble and wobble around the edge of the bath trying to catch bubbles but the weirdest thing is that whenever she comes for a cuddle she licks my hands, and i dont mean a couple of licks, I’m groomed to the point of being raw!

Lol, I know it appears to be tight but he’s surprisingly got more room in it than it appears. If I thought there was a risk of him getting stuck at all I’d bin it. :)

I think Moril rolling around in the bath qualifies here. Erm. It's very hard to objectively think because I've got used to all his weird ways and can't think what other not-Moril cats would do int he same situation...

Some cats like the smell of human earwax. Not meaning to suggest your ears are waxy of course, LOL :) One of my previous cats was obsessed with my OH's earplugs after he'd had them in his ears. When he'd washed the earplugs the cat was not interested in sniffing them. :)
