The natural plum flavor complements the Wuyi Mountain dark oolong that this tea is made with. Coming together to produce a nutty, roasted flavor with sweet plum overtones.

Extra Info:

The Chinese were the first to cultivate the plum fruit, and revered it as a symbol of love and good fortune. This reverence for the plum is not limited to China. In the United States, the fruit has its own holiday, National Plum Pudding day on February 12th. Across the Pacific in Japan, the whole month of February is dedicated to the fruit since it blossoms during that month. In many parts of Europe wild plum trees grow in great quantities and living near a grove of them is thought to increase fertility.

Brewing Instructions:

Bring filtered or spring water to 185°F. Add 1.5 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 3 minutes.

Other Brewing Options:

Infuse a tablespoon of leaves in a small pot for just about a minute. The tea is then re-infused and served 2 or 3 more times. Each infusion yields a different liquor and experience from the proceeding cup.

Love this tea…wasn't sure how'd I feel about plum flavor but this is delicious. I have been drinking it hot and today, as it has warmed up, I tried it iced. Once again, delicious. I also bought a tin w/the lovely label on it and now am hooked on getting more of my favorite teas in a tin. It makes it so easy to pick out the tea w/o having to read a small label and these tins are far cheaper then any other tea company! Don't tell David as he might raise the price!
