This is the website of FanFictionDownloader (FFDL), a little tool to download your favorite stories from different websited to your local computer or eBook-reader. A lot of different formats like PDF, ePub, mobi, txt and many more are available.

FFDL is able to run on Microsoft Windows, Apple iOS and several Linux distributions.

Here’s a first screenshot of the application: FFDL Mainwindow I’ve entered the link (URL) of redfrogs story “Summer of Independence” which contains 18 chapters and hit the “Check” button. This shows the most basic information for the stoy: Storyname, Authorname and number of chapters. (Downloading them all manually and mofifying the layout would be a boring, monotonous taks…)

Downloading starts after clicking the “Download fanfiction” button: FFDL during download It takes less than one minute to download this story as pdf to my computer. (The speed depends on your internet connection speed and your computer)

The resulting file (a PDF file in this case): Resulting PDF The first page shows all relevant information about a story like name, link to the story, author, update-date, word-count, status (complete/in progress) and many more. The layout of this page and the chapters is fully configurable (e.g. dark layout, font-type, font-size, …)

PDF reader with table of content (TOC): Resulting PDF with TOC Depending on the selected format, a TOC is automatically generated and fully usable. It also works on eBook-readers like the Amazon Kindle
