Hyderabad: Task force sleuths and Central Crime Station (CCS) investigators arrested two narcotics peddlers at Liberty Junction on Wednesday. They also seized 100 LSD blots from their possession.
Police arrested Mayank Kumar Sahu, 22, and his brother Piyush Kumar Sahu, 20, both graphics designers from Nagpur.
Earlier during the week, as reported by TOI in these columns, the CCS police had arrested the duo's city associates - Mustafa Mohiuddin, 27, of King Koti; Junaid Raza Siddiqui, 25, and Md Manzil Mukarram Pasha, 26, of Rajenderanagar - in possession of 45 LSD blots and six grams of ephedrine. Based on the information given by the trio, the cops arrested the brothers at Liberty Junction.
The brothers procured LSD blots by placing orders on the 'Nuclear Market Place' on the underground web also known as dark web or deep web using software tools like 'Tor' and 'Tails'. After procuring narcotics online, the brothers had contacted their online friend Mustafa of Hyderabad, seeking his assistance in marketing the contraband by offering a handsome commission.
Nearly a week ago, the duo gave Mustafa 45 LSD blots and ephedrine to sell. As Mustafa along with his associates, Junaid and Pasha, were trying to sell the drugs to customers at King Koti, police arrested them. Based on their confession, the cops arrested the main accused, the Sahu brothers, on Wednesday.
The arrested persons, along with the seized contraband, were handed over to the CCS police for further investigation.
