RACINE — A 37-year-old woman is facing a felony drug trafficking charge after she allegedly received a little more than 6 pounds of marijuana in the mail on Thursday.
Heidi Krista Eckblad, of the 2000 block of Green Street, was taken into custody after Racine police received an anonymous tip on Wednesday that Eckblad was to receive 10 pounds of marijuana, according to a criminal complaint.
Working with a U.S. Postal Service inspector, police intercepted the package on Thursday and had police dog Cheeto sniff it. Cheeto detected the presence of marijuana, the complaint indicates.

A police officer disguised as a FedEx employee then took the package to the Green Street address where Eckblad reportedly took possession of it. A short time later, police armed with a warrant entered the home and took possession of the package and took Eckblad into custody.
At the police station, police and the postal inspector opened the package and found five vacuum-sealed bags containing a green leafy substance, according to the complaint.
Police dog Odin sniffed the contents and he also indicated the presence of marijuana. According to the complaint, a chemical test was conducted on the substance and it tested positive as marijuana. The bags had a total weight of 2,800 grams or about 6.17 pounds, according to the complaint.
