Considered a strong candidate for Deep Throat, despite all around denials. In particular, Coldony makes this claim in Silent Coup, but there are serious problems with Haig as Deep Throat, most importantly that his position as Henry Kissinger's assistant on the NSC would not give him access to the information pool needed.
Invented new ways of speaking, Haigisms, of which George W Bush may utter only pale imitations thereof.
