He can write prescriptions, he just won't. There are several reasons. One is that technically, he should have a chart on someone if he is going to write them prescriptions. It is considered a violation of ethical prescribing practices and would put his license in jeopardy. Another is that both he and the client would then lose anonymity. Yet another is that it would flag him with the bodies that oversee prescription writing of controlled substances. Yes folks, he is not interested in risking his license, his DEA number, or getting time in jail. If you think it's a scam, don't but the listing. It's simply a service being offered for folks who have limited or no access to doctors for whatever reason who need access to one. He is far more knowledgeable than some asshole reading webmd and agreed to do this because he spent most of his life without access to the healthcare system in which he now participates. He knows how much it sucks. He worked his ass off to get where he is and just wants to give back what he can without putting himself at risk.
