He who cherishes the human body desires to keep the other parts of the body: Female, male and reproductive. He should let go of a woman if she becomes unworthy, and let go of a male if he becomes unworthy. He should cherish all that belongs to him regardless of what he does to others, and let go of himself as little as possible.
People admire the skill of those who maintain the human body, Because they consider this skill to be part of the competence of the human body.
The master of the human body is like a living child: he accepts as he chooses, and from the lesson given him, he chooses his own destiny.
Those who define themselves as wise do not contend for the honour of their teachers. They expect to be able to do everything themselves. Those who strive for the fame of their talent do not contend to be acclaimed as truly bright or original. Those who contend for fame and fame strive, as one, for others' love and belief. The wise man values not fame or fame; and does not rely on fame or fame to get from others.
The purpose of heaven and earth lies in keeping the parts of the body in what they are, so that the reproductive and reproductive functions can coexist. Those who possess this nature of intention will not contend for fame and glory. They do not glorify themselves. They do not boast of themselves. They do not glory in themselves. They do not glorify themselves. They accept all things for what they are, and accept nothing more.
He who contends for position in the world contends for position in himself. For the sake of the child he takes care of the mother. For the sake of the beloved he takes care of the beloved.
The sage cares for all under the sky, but none is held in concern. The sage cares for her and it loves her. The wise person takes up what is different, and loves what is different.
Whoever obtains happiness in the world does not glory in himself. He who glorys in himself gains no glory, nor does he lose the happiness of the world.
Whoever knows how to care for the universe takes no interest in the world. He who takes pleasure in the world takes pleasure in himself.

Knowledge is not a trait. Know its use.
Use it and you do not need to know it again.
You do not need to know how you use it.
Your work never ends.
A life well-lived will last a lifetime.
Know the way things are.
Hear others say: "The wise man lives as the Son of Heaven!"
A wise person doesn't need to be magnanimous.
He may be the most important person, but he never has any position.
He is fair, he is mild, he is humane. He treats everything as his own.
Happiness and riches are only the fruits of the great action.
Those who follow the path of enlightenment, and grow even more wise,
may be the saints.

Knowledge is not a power, it is a limitation to your life. In this way, the least powerful person can be used to develop the less powerful. In this way, the master can be honored as a Son of Heaven. And so in such a person, everything is fulfilled, whatever is placed is fulfilled, whatever is respected is fulfilled, whatever is praised is fulfilled, whatever is feared is fulfilled. This is the natural course, the Son of Heaven will be honored and glorified. Those who know how to act naturally, acting with free-will, acting for the benefit of the people, choosing to lead a good life, they are considered the most noble in the world.

Knowledge is not a virtue. It is a guide for the person that follows Tao.
He who follows Tao uses this person, to assist him to become what is all that he is: the Tao.
The Te, in order to help this person, as he gradually becomes aware that he is Te, to give him what is not Te, gives him the necessary requirements:
1. To maintain the body
2. To be healthy and well-protected
3. To keep the body's inner functions in harmony with the external world
4. To become a Master in all matters
5. And if the Tao, which becomes his reality, is not enough, he can communicate it to others by means of his Tao.
The person who knows to act and is successful in doing so, is in accordance with the way of Tao.

When wisdom and benevolence are acknowledged by others, as though a law or precept was passed on, they feel a stir within. That stirred feeling, however slight, arises from the Tao itself.
Auspiciousness and scornfulness are the results of the outward display of true benevolence. How sharply things are treated by people who are not their true parent!
From generation to generation, since ancient times, a multitude of people have striven to know their own nature. They have listened to their own being, their own way of being, and their own preservation. When all these have been realized, they ask, What is the purpose of this endeavor? But let us return to the present: As soon as the mind of man has attained that of Tao, it is the plainness of its plainness that concerns it. Even the simplest things cannot be explained in words. This simplicity, whatever its varieties, is the rule of all natural beings.
To know this rule, to know the relation of these bare bones to its substantial and unified mother, will be to comprehend nature.
This comprehending of nature requires knowledge of the essential nature.
Knowing the essential nature, one understands the nature of the universe.
Knowing the nature of the universe, one comprehends that nature is all-pervading and changeless.
This that which may be called essential nature is the mystery and the beginning of all that is really real.
Of what shall I say of these mysterious names?
The One.
The Eternal.
The everlasting.
The All-pervading.
The everlasting.
The void of space.
The constantly existing.
The Everlasting.
Hence,
Through Tao, all things flourish.
The myriad creatures thrive; The creatures of the world flourish; The creatures of the world thrive; The creatures of the world flourish. The creatures of the world flourish; The creatures of the world flourish; The creatures of the world flourish; The creatures of the world flourish; The creatures of the world flourish; The creatures of the world flourish.
Nature is flexible. It cannot be reduced to some fixed pattern. Rather than adhering to any defined sequence, it encompasses all as if it were one.
In order to comprehend its true course, one must grasp the root (ch'u).
Thus, in referring to its subtle vital energy (chih) by the name of its primal root, one may begin to understand its subtle workings.

The ten thousand things abide in the one truth.
A wise person does not try to be wise. He finds ways to be wise.
He acts with care for all things;Always doing what he has to do, without any request from anyone.The wise chooses to act for the purpose of others. All people want to do what the wise does for them.
All things love the one true mother. All things honor the good name of the good.
Everyone accepts the goodness of the intelligent person. All people admire the good person. Because of the recognition of the intelligence person, all people hold him as a model of good behavior.
If you don't love the Tao
You're doomed to fail
Everyone has different views of what Tao is
But the Tao stays with you regardless of what you say or do
The Tao will never leave you
When your mind is empty of substance
You can find contentment with the peaceful quiet of the Tao
Everyone's happy inside
Everyone's happy to serve
Everyone's happy to be loved
Everyone's happy to be useful

The wise leader is non-violent, thus enabling him to fulfill his potential, and to avoid the anguish of personal violence. His actions, all the time, are welcomed by the followers of the Tao. For all things depend upon him. All creatures listen to his voice and value his authority, because he maintains his balance among all things. And indeed, if the Tao leader doesn't behave on behalf of his people, all things will eventually fail to abide by him.
In order to achieve equilibrium, the individual person must accept the interests of others, and not act on his own. Therefore, when the individual acts in the absence of direction, he follows the way of the Tao.
Any action that is in the best interests of people is accepted by the collective, and any action that harms them is perceived as harmful by the collective. This principle holds for all of nature.
When one is comfortable enough with oneself and ignores all other views, he may appear impartial, nor, when even the smallest action falls on him, is he surprised if all other people find him to be benevolent.
Because one is both centered and tolerant, he may appear without principles; therefore, he is acclaimed as clever, but acts bene

In the olden days, All things were yet without provision. And thus they were useful. In the same way it is not in my mind to be wasteful. If, having no space to spare, I can keep for myself all things without provision, I can be like the Mother of the world. In that case the people will esteem me as the Mother of the world, And I will not have lost my place, And the people will esteem me as the Earth Mother.
The sage is for the world as the Earth is for the world; He is a guest for the world as the Earth is for the world. What is without provision is insufficient; What is without anything is free. In so doing, he takes nothing with him And retains everything without obstruction. He does not possess; That is called: Great. That is why he has outstanding talent. People cannot fill the space Where everything is filled,And therefore his merit Must be equal with that of Earth.

And those that dispense wisdom and wisdom with propriety know that no one but their own inner self needs it. Those that know what is worth considering and what is not worth considering know that even when things are bad (and thus deserving praise) there is still joy and delight in them. This is why wise rulers are no good at having and not having. If the people are good at knowing and not knowing then all will become good at knowing and not knowing. Good rulers never turn down anything. They are neither good at the praise nor good at the lack of praise. They neither seem to know nor seem to know. And the people put them out of sight. Therefore, those who are wise do not try to force others to have things nor do they try to force others to have things. For this reason they take advantage of what is already in their power. They take advantage of what is already existing. They are of use to all men and value not the opinions of others. They choose a viewpoint which the people cherish. Gods don't seem to care very much about their followers.They keep the masses in line, and never act against the populace.I've seen this every wise man acting after me,And I can see what happens when they do.Those who are afraid to be known by others are kept at a distance.Those who're afraid of being known by others appear arrogant and not sincere.Because they are aware of this,they can remain natural.The sage is also a teacher to everyone.He abandons self and forgets himself.He is a cart that gets back a cart.The people are simply assigned something to be carried by, and he provides things for them.He shows them no-self and shows them who is on the right.They are very simple in their ideas and lack insight.The wise person leaves the public to rest quietly in themselves and forgets about others.He knows how to maintain silence and quietly stay in touch with the world.The world has left him, and he's left alone. The world is satisfied that he's fulfilled the role of a lord.He's not concerned with fame, praise, or the common folk's opinions.He's just a simple man.

Heaven and earth don't seem to care much about you.
They teach their followers to be humble and simple.
They give away their selves to anyone who can pay;
So the high achievers don't seem to be themselves noteworthy;
They're conspicuous only because they're right.
Though the sage never tries to brag,
He teaches others to be brash about themselves,
And takes pride in people's praise.
He's just simple.

Heaven does not care about the intelligent beings
How can men abide in humility?
In this way an intelligent being would not be regarded as intelligent.
Humility of the mind as a ruler is the best policy.
As long as people pay attention to their intelligence, they will not be allowed to be arrogant,
As long as they respect themselves, they will not be rejected.
The way is different:
The sage embraces humanity and honors her nobility.
He forgets humility himself.
He cares only about the outcome, not about the followers' personal merit.
He is not concerned about the admiration, praise, or skill of others.
He is not stubbornly difficult.

When you have been illuminated, it is better to listen. You have fulfilled the task. Who then should lecture you? Be still as you will be with you children. Relax as you will be with yourself. Whoever acts on the left, good and bad, -being under Heaven's authority-will remain so. For the good, as it has always been, is the highest good. For the bad, what is not good but unavoidable (si) - is what is. The people will abide by it. The hundred-thousand will flock together in recognition of it, even though it has no right to be so. The sage exalts on the supreme: him is supreme in the universe. The superior-desires for rightness - his rightness. The humble - for the right as in a son-in-law. The unrefined - and also right. The hundred-thousand virtues - and also the right; and likewise their rightness. Thus the universe looks to the wise people and lets them govern the world. The ten thousand people see the virtuous and humility, and let them govern the world. All the people accept and abide by them. Thus the universe is in the mind of the man good. The body the perfect. The people, the multitude, will see the subtle ways of the natures. The universe will listen to them; and so the people will see that things happen naturally.

There are all the spheres in the universe, but you need not be aware of them all. What you know is a Collective Name.
The Collective Name is indeed infinite.
Beyond infinity nothing can be.
And it cannot be known. Only the Way exists and is infinite.
How can something exist without existence?
Something that exists will happen.
Something that is not existed will come.
What is is!
What is not is not.
Thus we observe how this existence leads to that which has no existence.
The way is the beginning of all things and the door to the infinity of All.
This way reveals the beginning of everything.
Everything has it and no one else can use it.
The Tao is the Door to all that is without a home.
To give birth to the universe you must have an inner self.
To the infinite, nothing seems to differ.
Nonsense and glory rule the world. Everyone remembers what they see or hear. Nothing compares.
Welcome to all the things.

Achieve it by forcing everything else, and the desire to achieve it will not be apparent. However, do not refuse the things that others desire, and others will not fail to notice them. The fulfillment of desire means the fulfillment of the desires of wish fulfillment.

When a leader does his work well, everyone around him gets the job done. When leaders succeed, their work is followed by a better and a worse. Do you know why? Because it's a cycle. There is one success, and then another failure. Just as the key needs a key, so also the leader needs everyone he is working with to remain loyal. People's loyalty and competence are a natural part of the leader's work. Is your work running smoothly and cleanly? If so, this is your leader's key. Have you done everything he asks of you? Have you followed him closely and thoroughly? If you don't, people around you will show you up and you won't be trusted. So what matters is to be loyal, not to be well done.

Those who dare to manipulate people with words cannot prevail.Therefore no one will listen to you.When you emerge as the master of All,No one will listen to you.When you achieve your purpose in life,No one will listen to you.When you stand for merit in life,No one will listen to you.When you honor and honor in life,No one will listen to you.Therefore,one who follows the Way seeks to experience the life of the universe as it is without guidance.One who values righteousness takes part in this life,and one who values merit takes part in this life as well.The gentleman always values his merit.The gentleman values the humanity of the world.Therefore,when the prince or duke can take part in this life,Only the gentleman takes part in this life.In that way,Being of a high character, one can get credit from the world.Being of the nature of the gentleman is a sign of cleverness.Being of the gentleman's nature, one is wise.Being of the nature of the gentleman is a sign of filial piety.Being of the nature of

We are born without foreknowledge of the propriety of using them.
We are at one with innocent little ones.
We forget the difference between good and evil, or of pride and humility.
And yet we all are equal.
We do not desire to be good;
And do not wish to be different from all others.
To be good is to honor the world;
To be different from all others is to be in disorder.
Therefore the sage acts with the world as a mother and is willing to be dear to all things.
She loves all things;
She loves the world without distinction.
<|endoftext|>
We are born blind but unaware of being blind,
like newborn children,
We are without what we call maternal care,
We forget that we are different from the world.
We are then like infants:
By then, we have lost ourselves.
Now, if all were aware of being different from the world,
And all were for the sake of a motherly love,
Then the whole world would be well and truly unified.
If so, we would all be properly grown.
Then the sage would remain in the world.
The child of the world, the sage would hold to the world.
And the world would take care of the child.
<|endoftext|>
And so we, coming from those that may be called deep,
Are born blind in mind, and are therefore without memories,
Blind, then, to what we can be,
Without really being, for we're merely more than that.
We are then different, in many ways;
We have no style;
And so, as if to the multitudes of men,
For whose benefit we are blessed;
And, in so doing, the world is given to us.
Since then we are all blessed,
And the world takes care of the one among us,
We will each be blessed,
As if to the world.
For the reason that the intelligent man

If you wish to be like the Tao (the Way) you should focus on those
very similar to the Tao that can be held by you
but not without effort.
The unadorned flower of the Tao: a white image:
refers to Tao.
Identical when it comes into focus: a white image.
Descending: to the heart.
Becoming high, ascending, then sinking to the heart:
Te, a person of virtue:
when you begin to shine you find it all extinguished:
Then your heart is dark; then, blindness.
So a person of virtue follows the natural course, but does not settle with its natural course:
always renouncing without abandoning;
The way is to be found, but do not take the place of it.

Good People are in constant state of great consideration.
The formless nature of the Cosmos reflects Great Care for its creation.
The small form of the Cosmos attains highest Integrity as natural law.
Yet, when applied to perfect self (the vase of selfhood), then becomes as the shadow of great Cosmic Form.
Truly unlimited, also unlimited.
He who has attained his true nature becomes a citizen of all under heaven.
He then becomes citizen of the universe.
And, being all things under heaven under Heaven, he becomes a part of Infinity.
This is known as true detachment, as in an inward sea: to its deepest depths it is a beautiful channel of the Light.
The dark mirror shines; but to the Self the deeps is clear.
Even when you are dark, you are much more than dark;
When you are whole, you are very much so.
This is called the Ten Thousand Vessels of Life.
Because of that, true detachment is the light of life;
It is just like a white mirror that is played with by all beneath heaven.
It is also called true original light.

The Good Person is constantly conscious of being perfectly devoted to all things.

There is a Way with the Sage. He doesn't have one-parent families.He is still steadfast in the Tao.He doesn't take a place as lord of the world.Because he is detached from the world,The people can see his real face.He is kind and kindhearted.He acts also, when it is his duty to act.He is objective.He acts also in the exact direction.He acts also without taking any conscious effort.All those who work vigorously get rewarded.All those who act secretly get punished.Those who do not work are wasted.Those who act are supreme.For all the people there is the presence of the Way.All the people can learn the way.They can keep to the Way.

When the Saint sees the way of virtue, it's not between him and one-third, but he himself is the one-third.People recognize this by the use of words.Without naming himself he says, "We are big in all directions."Without alluding to him in words, he puts it into words, "I am the biggest in the world."What is big in all directions, doesn't need to say anything.Is he the big one? Who can be big in all directions? The BIG one? All of things have leaders who are big. That is, those who are big need no specific statements, and have responsibilities in order to be big.Is it possible to be the BIG ONE without looking big? Is it possible to be the BIG ONE without speaking big? That's how it is: In that way the BIG one becomes BIG. If you are BIG, people recognize you as BIG.If you are big, they can look at you as BIG.If you are BIG, they can look at you as BIG.If you are BIG, people will respect you as BIG.If you are BIG, then you can be a TAO official.If you are BIG, they will respect you as BIG.If you are the BIG ONE, they'll respect you as the BIG ONE.If you're not BIG, they will not respect you as the BIG ONE.

This One, though,

Is this not exactly the way of the great Thinkers?The ten thousand dao ministers all are respectful to the presence of the great Thinkers. How rare and wonderful!
Those who attain the way are beyond reproach.
Those who become serene cannot be faulted.
Those who sustain the Way can never fail.
The Way is eternal, and it is always abiding.
The way of the Way can never be undone,
Therefore it is eternal.
The Way is everlasting, and it is also not-ever-changing.
Therefore the Unmanifested is eternal.
Thus, by acquiescing in the Way, it is possible to manifest yourself as one of those who is Tao.

How rare and wonderful the nature of those who know the way,
Who are beyond reproach.
Who hold to the way are beyond reproach.
And to whomsoever the way is but another -
Whoever would seek it knows it, and will never lose sight of it.
If one is without desire, it is always to be found.
If one loses desire, it is always to be found.
If one has desire, it is always to be found.
If one is ever wanting, it is always to be found.
Therefore,
To others there is but indifferent station;
To oneself there is but indifferent position;
To the world but indifferent station;
To one who is ever indifferent, indifferent position.
To hold it to the highest, to do without making a fuss.
Hence Tao is universal, and its source is in the Tao.

When the great men (of the times before the universal teaching) were concerned with the affairs of government and government worked for the good of men, they did not resort to the need to accomplish a separate work.Though they may have an institution embodying the Tao, they would have no grounds for refusing it.The nature of man depends upon his relation with the nature of the Tao, and whoever rejects it, seeks to fall from it. A wise man discards this artificial procedure. The world does not look with favor upon him, and his role is as if the universal son. The empire does not flatter him, and his character is as if that of the universal father. This doctrine is not merely an ideal; it is the mother of Tao.

The wise person has an object, and therefore should not be confused by external things. The man of our age has the mind of a fool, and his outer shape should resemble that of a fool. The good man has an object and therefore is not deceiving himself. The wise man of our age has an object but the mind of a fool. The man of our age who does not yet have the mind of a fool is confused and untrustworthy. The wise person who has no subject is illumined and the spirit of the people rejoices. The mind of the people will be quieted, and then a smile and sincerity will appear in the face of the sage.

All subtle qualities are the same - becalmed in light, dark, yet eternal, and hence perceived by everything alike.
The perfection of Tao, the creator of myriad beings, is found in the simplicity of the nameless. The best in word is shallow and dim, the least in objective, the self-maintained has all virtue, the closest the purest of blossoms, the good person is safe, and the weak will be provided.
There is no distinction between the wise and the foolish. The great ruler is without prejudices, without the superficiality, without praise, without distinctions. He is the common image of the world.
<|endoftext|>
A creature that is aware of subtle virtue is one that does not move, moves but remains imperceptible.One who is aware of subtle virtue is aware of what is happening but becomes overtaken by it.Knowing what is happening is light, but not aware of how light it is.It is called the "chirp of the bright" and the "voice of the valley."The light-minded are ready for action, while those who are aware of subtle emptiness are completely at rest.He who is self-knowledge is clear-minded, while he who is self-knowledge is muddled. Good looks are beautiful and rare among humans.
Proper men cannot be seen to be good.
People who know good look as if they are good.
The wise know the nature of bad looks.
Wise people see what they see, and so people who know it all have good eyes.
The wise are good at loving and caring for others, and they allow them to be precious.
The people of today can look foolish because they love these blessings.
A compassionate ruler will bring people in his peace.

Do not be afraid of being known. When you are known there is no fear of being unknown.
Good people are beautiful as well as unapproachable.
Bad people are smooth as a mirror.
Hence a ruler without a soul cannot defeat an unregenerate person.
He who has an eternal soul becomes flawless, unapproachable.
In order to be perfect you must be unregenerate.
Therefore the sage lives in the present and lets go of everything.

they are good at keeping the present.
Those who are good at loving and caring for the present

If a man finds it hard to act well, he can trust the sage: if a man doesn't find it easy to act well, he can rely on the sage: and if he tries to act well, he can also trust the sage. For the wise, one can do good, another can do well, the third can do well, and the fourth, can also do well. To return to Tao is to return to the universal Way.
To return to the universal Way is to return to the Tao Way.
To return to the Tao Way means to live an everlasting life.
To live an everlasting life is to have life after death.
Living an everlasting life means that even if one dies, all things will have been set right.
Tao is great, but it is not everything. The Tao is great, but the universal Way is even greater.
For the universal Way to be truly great it must have no external boundaries, no leader, no ideology, no hierarchy. It must be natural, that is, the way everything works.
The reason this is so is that Tao is the model of everything. Everything is modeled after Tao. Therefore it has all the law of all things.
The wise man is always modest. He feels he is serving others rather than himself. This is called humility. He also learns without trying to be clever, for that is his strength. With undivided wisdom is the real peace that all of creation seek.
The way of the Unseen looks a bit odd for demonstration, but for me, it really is the One.
I do not see much to reveal, for I see great signs everywhere.
I too, try to stay centered in all,
Cervating and responsive, unperturbating and indifferent.
I see beautiful beauty,
Uncarved to be a gateway to eternal wonder.
The path of a sage is like this,
Aimless, unfettered, calm, humble, responsive.
It behooves all to embody their potential,
The reason a Sage practices so intently.
To manifest the spirit of wonder.
There is more than meets the eye.
And if you see too much, look for balance in the body.
The sacred of humans is to keep the mind in peace.
That is how it appears simple, without pretense,
But only because we can make no claims.
What others see, I see all to well.
What others see, I see with more awe.
Everyone must have such strength to lean on one another,
A taproot with depth, as those beneath.
The Wise Person takes her place like a channel where all people can tap.
The TAO appears to be simple, as without saying.
What the masses can see, I must whisper in their souls.
To me, it's a bit on the clumsier side.
To see a whole as a block, so to speak.
One of a mind like an avalanche, melting away, melting away.
Ripping open into so many levels, melting away, melting away, melting away.
How much you can see!
The mind and the body are one.
There is more than meets the eye.
How much you can't see!
Between the heavens and earth, one sits.
In this way, the wise moves about free from cares, without attachment to any one object, just like the ordinary person.
From a seemingly simple mind, one can see all aspects.
This simple mind allows the vast understanding.
There is more than one way to go.
We all move through the same space, melting away.
A journey through the mind takes us far away from the reality of one's body.
I see a solid surface as a deep pool, and there's

We first create ideas. Thoughts become realities. We then shut ourselves up in what we do. We then become strong and stable. We then reduce to what we have. We then choose what is good. We then choose what is true. We then choose what is right. We then choose what is right by example. In choosing, we make choices. Things are given names. Things are given meanings. Things are given shapes. Things are given what they need. Things are given their need. Things are given purpose. Things are given growth. We choose what is best for ourselves.

If we desire to be strong, we have to have this:
1. Be well endowed with the soul of the universe:
2. Become smooth and complete, so that a man who is fit to bear and carry cannot reject it.
3. Become great and strong, so that if a man be feeble he will be unable to resist him.
4. Be mild and placid, so as to be easily submissive;
5. Be like a stone, so that he who is strong may not break it.
6. For this reason, all the the demesne shall be so set at ease, that there shall not be any man's resistance.
7. The more the state gives to its people, the more men shall work for them.
8. In order to become the model for the empire, the king has to control the world by means of people, and so does not rely on his strength alone.
<|endoftext|>
To desire great power is in order to have this soul; Therefore, one has to have a lord and a lord has to have a master: Hence, you need an indifferent mouth and you must know how to be without blame. So how much more must I give the earth to hold all things if I had to conquer it and take all the living things? Therefore, in order to be the fountain of virtue, all the world should care for me. I would be their model if I held the empire in my hand. For virtue is the way,And man will not despise it; And virtue is in order to change the master, And in order to accept the lord, And in order to keep the lord. If you turn to virtues, And all things under heaven may submit to you, Then they will take refuge in you and you will be their model. Therefore all

Having no mind, one may realize truth. Having mind, one may realize evil.
Being of equal mind, all men must understand the same, and so the leaders of the nations must be also of equal mind. (It is a principle of human nature that men should follow one another in joint efforts, When all men are satisfied, and cleaving in the same direction, the leaders will also be found to be equally satisfied, and have other sorts of common or general satisfaction, which are merely normal.
The sage acts dispassionately, without caring about the public affairs, and at the same time gaining no advantage himself.He acts with compassion, without ever becoming possessed of any merit, and then he is able to take many officials for himself.

Tao is empty of thought, then nothing is not there.
Eternal light cannot be seen.
The holy man has nothing that does not merit being given.
To be good to him:
One must not strive to be good.
To be virtuous:
One must not strive to be virtuous.
To be truthful:
One must not strive to be truthful.
To be truthfull:
One must not strive to be truthful.
To be the king:
One must not dare contend for it.
So the wise man acts like an infant
Which is centered in mother nature.
He acts like a child,
Which has not yet developed into a leader.
He acts as a fellow-worker,
Which does not yet have his own interests.

The sage Way is without name or form; makes its example divine like an infant within the womb of a mother.
It speaks of nothing.
It does not harm, neither wants to hurt,
Neither seeks nor is denied anything.
It manifests itself, in its simplicity.
And through not attempting to explain it,
Its essence is evoked.
Thus in simple description it is called vague, as if in obscure fashion
the years of old are named;
it is like as though in obscure an uncertain time
out in confusion.
Receiving from the simple yet deep, the unfathomable, the mysteries are given to us,
be it the Way of a small child.
But the simple mother's own heart is able to form in itself a little.
The mystery of simple child is filled to the brim,
since it is shaped by their simple heart.
The years of a single man's life are also fit to be known,
taking the years from the child's years,
He is able to take the spirit from the mind,
as though the confusion was a constant.
Simple, unfathomable, and all-knowing,
in the shadow of many mystery, the child of the old is like to be molded,
so that they all can join their earthly mother.

Do good deeds and then good things will follow. Do not act for yourself but for something better. If you do not need something, you can do something for yourself. If you do not need anything, you can put it to good use. The sage lives in the world but appears to be in the world. She appears to be indifferent to the world. This is because she is always going forward. When she wants something for herself, she is as active as an ox in collecting tools. When she wants something for herself, she is as active as a newborn baby. When she does not see what is important for herself, she remains indifferent to the world. She acts for herself and becomes a king.

Whenever you do good deeds then good things will follow. If you do not do good deeds, then there will be things which are good. If you do not dwell upon evil, then you will find things which are good. So the good endure all time. If the superior knows this, he is quite attentive to the common people. He is good to the simple things and precious, then he is good to the unattractive things. The good are always present, and so the ungood are always present. When rulers can be trusted, people go about according to law, and when they can keep to life, people help others. When they can be strong and do not fear damage, people would be receptive to them. When they are truthful, and no one tries to change them, then there is no need to be so. When a person is not afraid of punishment, he gets what he wants. When the relation of someone to another is good, people of a high position do not attack him. Who is this trustworthiness that then, when trustworthiness cannot be maintained, again resort to violence? Before your mind can be released from the cage of longing

How much you have made sense of this only
After this you will be glad to hear it all.

The people of the world are not like himself.
His mind has no fear, and yet it fears nothing.
When he abandons his senses,

How can I take this as something good?
Because I am selfless.
Hence I benefit myself by giving up I.
He who loves the world can never be in love with me.
He who loves the world can never love me.
How can I be indifferent?

The highest virtue is its most limited.

Lao Tze says,The most perfect ruler has his ministers and implements limited;
While he still has his mind, he acts impartially.

The highest goodness consists in discriminating the good from the bad, as it were, from the good itself.

The highest virtue consists in acting without analysis;
While there is still a substantial soul in him,
he acts with justice.
<|endoftext|>
The highest virtue consists in the comprehension of the good and the evil.
This involves perception.
<|endoftext|>
The Highest Virtue has its Ministers and implements
But the soul does not possess them;
Nevertheless, it acts in accordance with Reason.
<|endoftext|>
In the highest degree, the work of man is his tools.

The highest Virtue may be expressed as focusing on the Good:
Its manifestation can be reduced to three things:
Goodness, goodness, and goodness.
<|endoftext|>
The highest virtue is restrained by its own desires.
This restrained virtue can also be described as its instrument.
<|endoftext|>
The highest virtue consists in the limitlessness of the Good:
Its Manifestation is what is good.
<|endoftext|>
The highest virtue is to be defined by the nature of the Good;
the limitlessness of the Good is the limitlessness of the Good.
<|endoftext|>
The highest virtue resides in the recognition of what is good, the recognition of what is bad.
<|endoftext|>
The Highest Virtue is the limitation of the Good.

The highest virtue is the constant of the Good;
The limitlessness of the Good is the limitlessness of the Good.

When the sage obtained enlightenment, it was because he found in people things with which he valued. He loved, for his love was for the other. The ruler of men's lives (from infancy to old age)is different from the wise. The wise man is wise in that he sees the people's needs, But he does not feel concern for them or try to please them.He forgets his own own interests.He is benevolent, yet he treats the world fairly and without reviling it. The wise ruler is like a fish out of water: he keeps his mouth shut,yet he sees all the fish (rulers) in a net.Therefore, we say "The Ruler of All Things will not fear being seen."

the governing of men's lives is different from the wisdom of the sage. The sage is the sage in that he sees men's needs and not their own. He forgets what is important and only rejoices in what he has. He is kindhearted, not reviling; this makes him useful. The sage does not pity the people, but wants the people to be himself. In speaking the wise man rarely takes offence. His words are lightly inspected; the people listen. The wise man loves the country without feeling envious. He treats it with kindness and does not hate it. He does not despise people, the one who follow this way. People are loved even when they are not in accordance with the way.The wise man attends to events, yet he does not act. He follows the rules of the law and does not interfere with what the people do.

He acts like them, and yet he is not competent to act like them. He acts like them, and yet he makes no use of it. Because he does not have competent means he has no right to act in this way. Gravity is the ruler of change, for it will bring about everlasting harmony. Such a being was born of no change, nor can it be changed;
So we call its nature a change. The Lord may appear as a human being, yet he's a changeless entity;
Likewise, we call it nature, a being, a being.
So, we call it Tao, the Way. So, it is Tao. This being, which is a changeless being, is also in the Tao. This being, which is a changeless being, seeks change. This being, which is a changeless being, seeks no change. It seeks change without striving.

What is good and sincere is sought by the world. This is why the Sage has no fixed ideas about the world. His views are shaped according to the world. The people of the world are his citizens; yet I am as a citizen to them. Those who are good will be received; those who are not good will be forgiven. Therefore one has no fixed views, and one finds their views. From here a ten thousand things arise; they are received by me, and I am their king. The ten thousand things arise in my care, and I treat them as infants.

One who rejects good is shunned;
One who rejects the good is excluded.
One who rejects the good is detested;
One who rejects the good is loved.
Loving persons are looked up to;
Loving things are treated like husks.
The sage has no fixed, fixed and negative notions.
He regards the multitude of people's opinions as his own.
I regard my own opinions as correct.
And I also regard the people's opinions as correct.
This kind of compatibility leads to constant harmony.

The ability to employ benevolence,

The great sages never assume their responsibilities. In quiet they fill the world, And calm the children of the world with calm, Not interfering with things of its own accord. I am pleased, that is all! But just do not act and you have calm, Just do not expect and you will have quietness. Therefore calmness is the grand virtue of the sage.He is calm on one hand and is restless on the other.He is restless on the one hand and being calm on the other. That is why he is thought to be an ordinary person. And so he seems average. The sage is impartial to all, But he is impartial to men. I am impartial to men, I am also impartial to men. I take the great virtue and put it behind me, And that is what I find good. The great virtue takes root on the left And assumes the responsibilities of the world. The great responsibility does not lay down definite terms. Thus I have got good and bad, If I can sense them, I am unbiased to all.

The Eldest being: He that does not honor himself, does esteem. And so: The Superior always discards the inferior, and does regard the inferior. The one: discarding the inferior, discards the inferior. So discarding the inferior discards the inferior. Just so: Discarding the inferior discards the inferior. There is no use in teaching a doctrine unless it is the 'tao.' The 'tao' cannot be truly taught. The doctrine has no content.The oneness of all is a product of each person's self. The self is infinitely-spreading, even over a thousand times over; its 'origin' is beyond all reckoning. How can one know the origin of the 'origin'? By following the oneness of the self.

When things have existed, Heaven cannot depart. If Heaven could leave, all things would lose their purpose. Everything is worthy of completion, All things are worthy of leaving. All that is unworthy is due to oneness. If you can be on your own, you can reach your own goal. If you can be complete, you can be equal to others. If you can be equal, you will become just. If you can be just, you will bring about peace. If you can be just, you can get relief. If you can get relief, you can expand. If you can expand, you can serve the world. The world is your body. The body is the heart. A good person takes care of others; A bad person takes care of himself. People who are good, help people. Those who are helpful, are beneficial to the world. Good people serve the world, And bad people serve the world by helping others. The good people are discerning, And the bad people are disconsolate. Those who disconsolate are conscious of their flaws, And those who disconsolate are conscious of their righteousness, And they are all good. [And this is the reason why the great men] always cleave to the Dao. When they have no other choice, They hold fast to the Dao with the Dao as their backbone. And when they have no other choice, They put the Dao as their backbone and teach the people to act with Dao as their lifeblood. When they have no other choice, They set up Dao as the foundation of their works and instruct people to follow the example of Dao and stop with Dao as the basis for their life. And they teach people to be good. If they are good they get a lot of belief and when people accept them, they educate them to become good at helping them with the role of being good and not interfering with other people. Peace that hasn't been thrown back is as unstable as an axe,
Trying to put it back will bring about chaos.
To let the restless go is to erase what remains.
Ten thousand names of people in the world are hostile and hostile.
Opposing names act like one's own precious blood.
Acting in accordance with that precious blood,
Riding the left side of its traveling car,
You can sense the joy of people.
In handling the worldly issues, you can know them as hard and slow.
But having knowledge of your own heart,
It's possible to be even more unbiased.
Speaking only the truth, [your] credibility is said to be [more] than true.

He who does not strike fear into the populace can be counted upon to make use of his power.
He who does not dwell in his conduct, can be counted upon to retain the order of his conduct.
He who does not make distinctions between good and bad, can be counted upon to remain in order.
He who does not presume to a superior position, can be counted upon to maintain his dignity.
Thus he who enjoys the world's esteem can show his praise and his credit to others.
Those who regard him unfavorably are likewise unfavored.
A wise ruler does not make overtures of praise to the world and so shows no reward to his subjects.
How could he?
Therefore he is esteemed by the people and praised by the people, and so is valued by the people.
When so, he can be called an experienced leader,
a fine leader, an intelligent leader, an intelligent statesman, and so on.
But, from this wise ruler resides a lasting trust and a wise adherence to his rule.
He resides in the world with no desires, and so receives no resentments from his people.

He who makes others afraid of themselves

No opinion is better than honesty. And nothing can be more genuine than honesty. Yes, we know that things happen, not that they happen well. All things come into being from nothing, and they die. Everything that is born dies, and so there is something. Everything in the world, in turn, comes into being. And then it is that other things of the world come in. And then there is something else. And then there is something else. And so all the people in the world come together to live; and then there is something else. And then there is something else. And then there is something else. And so the things that do are as one in the multiverse. No one cares. No one hears. No one reacts. And no one is excluded.

The wise man is beyond good and evil, If anyone can bring him into accord.
Only the man of uprightness lets go of his own glory, And lets go of all others.
That which he acts on as good
Is good enough.
That which he acts as evil
Is evil enough.
But in choosing the good
Only he lets go of its own holiness,
And lets go of everything else.
Therefore he lets go of himself
And is content.
Because he is content,
He knows no more than his mouth.

It is the wise man who does not regard the things as good or bad; the wise man who chooses them by themselves. Only he who may give them as good are those who are able to make good. This is the highest virtue. That which is bad is what causes him to lose his self-respect. He who knows himself well and does not display self-sufficiency is worthy of a joyous but respectable people. In others he takes in order to make good. What is good for him at the outset is good at the end. Those who are too proud to accept as good anything good at the beginning are not right, because they would lose the self-respect of the people. Thus the sage, in taking the world, makes use of that which is pleasant to the people. The people the sage forgets, while he preserves himself. Then he regards the people as his own children. He even forgets his own goodness when it has become clear to others that he has lost it.

Not to play off the people, for then you spoil your own people.

He tries to improve people as he would like them to be, just as he would like them to be good, just as he would like them to be enough. A wise man does not seek wisdom.
He searches it for the Truth.
The person who knows the Truth hears it as good news,
But the person who does not know it can yet be deceived.
He who knows it recognizes it as the Truth;
the person who does not recognize it is therefore rejected as one who does not know the Truth.
This is the way in which one becomes wise.
Likewise, the wise man never adorns himself,
For this is also the reason that he is enlightened.
Likewise, the man who does not pay attention to affairs,
But who is doing the work well,
Eternally harbors in himself a deep attachment to the people.
Yet the wise man is always on the lookout for those who are not ready,
And constantly rejects those who are not ready.
For, though he knows that some are ready, he also knows that some are not.
This is also the way in which he is ever completely without turning his back on people.
Those who live by feeling the earth, and are interdependent
With all things around them,
And with nature itself,
Live according to this deep-felt feeling
With this depth in their hearts.
This feeling and their hearts become the self-understanding of an ordinary people.
And when all is resolved and peace reigns in the world,
This deep-felt sense of selfhood becomes itself the basis for the formation of the people's genuine and simple self.
Those who do not take themselves as they are,
And act as they would,
Do not begin the relationship with men.
By this I mean that they do not act as though they were possessed by anything,
And I call this act the love of their heart.
When man's selfhood is no longer their selfhood,
And they are made to embody the various people's selfhood
Then the selfhood of the latter is born.
When humanity's selfhood has been conceived, then humanity's selfhood is born.
When the people realize their innate selfhood
And then act differently,
And embrace what they would
To understand man and understand himself,
They become therefore one hearted people.
They come to the world and are pacified and calm.
They all become self-evolved.
And then they get rid of the eternal worry of the individual man.
That is the true transformation of the ordinary

Consider a skilled skill-worker and ruler. One who is skillful in ruling is not conceited. With respect to his words, he is often mild and polite. To consider what others will think of him, he asks about it. Because others will look up to him, he stands out. Because others will look up to him, he receives praises. Because others will look up to him, he receives some humility. Because others will look up to him, he receives credit. But to rely on oneself is not enough; he is rewarded for his ability. What is seen is relative. What is heard is not important. What is remembered is not important. At home one may need a good man to oversee the kingdom. But if he is thought to be unworthy, his competency may be endangered. In the practice of TAO, the body may need leadership and sustenance, but it may not need guidance from a Sage.

While being true, do not get caught up in false beliefs.As the basis of good faith, do not keep hidden the truth of the universe.If people give you great credit, you are their firstborn child.But if you keep all people in the dark, they will long for your empty word.So a man in the path of Tao (the path of Truth) declines fame as a man in olden times declined honor as a wise sage.People become his firstborn children.But if you govern your people by making the simplest effort, they become your firstborn child.When you treat the people with kindness, the best care should be taken.So the Wise Person (the Sovereign of the Universe) dares not receive honor as a wise man dares receive benevolence as a good man dares receive kindness as a kindness dares receive benevolence as a kindness dares receive benevolence as a kindnessAnd the man of more than one world receives benevolence as a kindness.For that reason, a wise man often feels as though he are without life at all and befriends a multitude of people who have life-affirming qualities, yet are safe and secure.He recognizes that these people are his firstborn children.Therefore, as the Wise Person takes no joy in the task at hand, he leads others.Because the direction of Tao is not in the mind, the Way has become the Way and none dares to depart from it.

Know thy Master.
See where it comes from,
How it is formed,
What is made manifest,
And how it is utilized.
Hence let each of us see where it comes from.
It is fashioned by Tao into things and then becomes what it is.
It is made manifest by Tao to man and then becomes what it is.
It is utilized by Tao in the same way that we use it,
Without any intention of desire.
The way is to make as little of it as possible.
The Tao does not force us to do what we know is right or wrong or to make demands on others.
It takes all of us in its embrace and yet is invisible.
It doesn't make us afraid of death.
And if it can't protect us, how can it hurt us?
That's why we can trust Tao:
That we can believe that it makes no demands or that it accepts no resistance.
