According to the people of old, "it is best to let things grow," "it is best to get rid of things," "it is best to grow weak," "it is best to break things down." This is said to be the subtleties of the old Mystery. The people of old lived to the end and found this the most profound. The thin grows long, the strong is weak, the weak gives life to the strong, and the strong does not fail in its work. The people of old came to their ends in vain to flaunt their power and high status. They rejected everything and even found the tiniest beginnings in waste places.
<|endoftext|>
In the Tao, great and small reside on different planes; the physical body isn't in the center of the Tao. Nor is the mind. Yet, both are inextricably entwined with the Tao.
Tao is profound, and if you want to understand it, you'll have to use a microscope. The thick is broad; the strong is weak; the sharp is razor; the strong is not able to be broken; the sharp is able to be sharpened; the wide is wide; the good is good; the weak is weak; the good is good; the rigid is rigid; the imperceptible is faint.
<|endoftext|>
The ancient Te said,Follow the path of TaoWithout learning or experience! You will be a pleasant guest!Turn right and left to see far.Not while you are sharp at all, But on the far side. So, in the Tao Way,Grow a thin,And strengthen a strong;Whoever has great faith is great:And therefore, he is right; And so his faith is firm; And so his faith is real; And so he is real; And so, his faith is genuine; And so, his faith is true; And so his faith is real.He who is perfect in faith Will gain great skill; And he who is perfect in faithIs great virtueA truly smooth blade;Like the Earth,Who lasts long,By contrastWill be torn apart.

Innumerable music and dancing are alarming and disquieting. Meditation and learning are wasteful and dulling. Accommodation and quietude are insufficient. Purity and vigour are not enough.Sincerity and sincerity are not enough.Who wants these, or is conscious of them?
<|endoftext|>
Tao is a mysterious Spirit in which everything is played out in harmony. When music and poetry are not sufficient to carry a lesson, one should try to listen to Tao. When one does not wish to laugh out loud, one must try to keep quiet. When one does not wish to be rude, one must try to be reasonable. If silence and dreariness ruin harmony, what has bene the reason of this?
<|endoftext|>
Music and songs inspire fear And fan the heart with idle chatter. Meditation is like straw into which the bound has been cast. It is best to let them go without talking, Be simple, plain and clear, but without flattery. Do not brag about oneself, Or you will meet with criticism. Why should we boast about ourselves? Surely we all have good reason to be proud. For if you are not plain and noble, Your talent will be wasted and your soul will be wasted.

Music and dance are alarm and noise. Do not induce them with music. Do not make them intoxicated. Do not make them merry. Do not make them mad. Do not think of them to be lecherous. Do not think of them to be vices. Do not want them. If you enjoy life by disinterestedness, you can be happy.

One who stretches an undivided system to the limit of its usefulness can never long endure. A man who stretches it to its limit can last for many, and beget others. He who stretches it to the limit of its usefulness can endure it for a long time, and also beget a large number. He who stretches it to its limit of usefulness can maintain it for a long time, and beget a small number. He who stretches it to its limit of usefulness can beget a large number, but he who stretches it to its limit of usefulness will soon perish. When he stretches it to its limit he will not be able to extend it long enough. One who stretches and hardens at one end of the empire cannot obtain a stable formation. What he spoke of is sometimes called the tao. The Tao is sometimes called the "empty form of the Absolute." "The Absolute form is empty, but that is all we need. It is the existence of an immeasurable greatness, is a movement of absolute heaviness. It is called TAO eternally empty, and yet filled. It is the source of the activity of the Absolute. The sage once observed, without speaking to anyone or looking at anything,
that a thing appears spontaneously
and
that something
always exists and returns to the source.
There are different ways of seeing the world,
and different things are given their names.
We use the example of an oxcart:
If we can show that it moves
and free it from friction by taking control of it
it can be shown to have integrity.
If we can show that the water in it
can get rid of it
and return to its original purity
it can be purified.
There is the Way: it is hidden in all
and everything.

of its mysterious breath.
When the Way is examined, he thinks of its natural ends.

Interpreted, it may be likened to the various forms of matter.

If a person wishes to lead the world,He must first make up his mind to be a duke.If a man wishes to become the world's steward,He must first have recognized his need to govern,And thus observe the rules of others. If his own nature and feelings refused to serve him,He must recognize the way others do,And thus let them act as his steward. Thus a good steward may work like this:He knows how to hold things together,But then allows them to allow themselves to loosen. He knows how to cleanse things,But then lets them be like good rivers. He knows to find his way,But then allows them to see their way.He knows what to use,But then is ready to be distinguished. The ability to do what one needs to do is not forced upon the person. He can do the work he needs to do by himself. He may have ambition,But he will find that ambition will not make him as good a leader as competence in leadership.

If a world ruler is all-under-heaven then he needs to send people to the ancient Tao in order to be trusted. If a world leader is truly all-under-heaven then he needs to lead them to the ancient Tao in order to be trusted. If a world leader is truly All-under-heaven then he needs to get rid of people who refuse to work with him. If a world leader is truly All-under-heaven then he needs to build strong walls. A good leader knows how to use force for the good of the people, but he also knows how to use it for the good of the world. A good leader chooses the latter. But he may also choose the former.

It is better for a ruler to abide by what is best for the world. It is better for him to rule by knowing what is best for the world.

Go to the left side of the space to stabilize.
Cut down the corners.
Drop them out.
Expand them.
Dishonour something.
Reject a thing.
When people accumulate things and use them,
Something from a deep hole has to be carved out and mixed with the life.
Must you seize something and scatter it?
Must you use something to control it?
It will only be accidental if you throw away something that is good.
A man who knows this well will not show people his stuff.
<|endoftext|>
Clad in daria,
Control the space to the left.
Cut down the vantons,
Cut the edges of the upper part.
Drop down the tail.
It is best to let it flourish,
It is best to let it grow.
Abandon the fear of acting evil.
Do not make unnecessary repairs.
Throw away the bad and beautiful.
Those who are full of space and beauty are not safe.
A group of people are restless and confused.
This is all the true guidance comes from.
<|endoftext|>
It is best to go to the left and not interfere with the space. Let the lower part grow! It is better to let the lower part flourish. Let the lower part be removed from the floor. Or let it be shaped and reinforced. No man should strive to take hold of it. Let the space become filled with natural beauty.
Do you want to create your own group?
Consider yourself good at shutting people out.
<|endoftext|>
The Sage Goes left and is firmly established.
Cut down the left veneer and rip out the veneer beneath.
Drop it, and it will flourish.
Be guided by it, and it will assist you.
Flee from that and it will be there for you.
The more solid the space in which you dwell, the more it will help you.
Use that space for nourishment and growth.
Make no distinctions.
Leave no order.
Leave the vase bare.
Empty the place out.
Let the good things come forth.
Give no countervailing greatness.
Give and give and give.
Overbearing, dominating

Those who have Tao have no desire to master it. Those who want to master it have desire. Without desire, there is no desire. If desire exists, there is no lack; If there is no lack, the original Tao is the image. Whoever abandons the Tao cannot be purified.

If you have Tao,you do not desire to keep it;If you desire to keep it,you do not dare to lose it.If you are afraid of losing it,you do not dare to lose it;If you are afraid of losing it,you do not dare to break it.Without doing anything, you can never get rid of something. How much will the one who does not want anything succeed in cleansing? How much would that person want to weaken? The Master makes small cutsAnd sets up modelsThat can never be discarded.
<|endoftext|>
If the whole world knew our Tao,I don't see how the great men in the world can succeed in controlling it.Let them keep it and they will follow; But let them forget it and it will disappear;Only then will its image vanishAnd no one can find it.If we want to obtain and to preserve the LightWe must use the Dark to do the work.It is essential for one who keeps this WayTo form a large hand and to form small tools. The small tools are used to weaken the great tools.
<|endoftext|>
If the people of the world knew the way, I do not see how they would dare to control it.For, had they not it, and known, they should never have attained it;Should they have gained it, they should long for to attain it;Should they have lost it, they should long for to lose it.He who owns Tao is never deprived. And he who owns anything is always being used. The other implements are small but for all the small ones it is sufficient to make a great tool.
<|endoftext|>
If the ten thousand men of the world should know the Way,They would not dare to control it.They do not dare to control it,And should never possess it.Were they to possess it,They should turn it over and forth.Should it then pass away,They would lose it.Should they lose it, they would keep it.What the ten thousand the world knows is too small to be worth possessing.

The greatest knot in the world is the a knot on one's own bow.
The least knot in the world is the a bow of the lowest sort.
Soften it to the point of becoming straight:
Yet keep it from falling to the ground.
Silence it through non-interference:
But let it increase in usefulness and glory:
But let it become old and old.
It is the same with an ox:
Behold how it advances!
Behold how it declines!
How the skill of a great sage becomes evident!
The good is hidden. The largest size is the door
To the realm of the self.
A false notion is taught to the people
That they are a vessel for the Tao.
But the way the Tao resides in people is
A store for self-gratification.

Sage is hidden, and knows nothing of things!

The rivers and valleys become a source of life. The tao, no creatures exist there.Being a source of life, its use cannot be exhausted. The essence of the Tao is hidden. It is even the secret of the secret. The simple spirit of the universe is formless. Formless and original, it is the doorway to the eternity of the universe.Where else can there be eternity? And this is the secret of the secret of the secret.A living creature lives because it is alive; A stone is carved by its true nature. Give the people the chance to be filled before they start to be full. Let the people expand before they start to be lost. Let people be protected before they start to be attacked. Let the officials have no ability before they start to be redundant. When a small group of people succeed, they will have to wait for the next group to succeed. However, a great nation will not act like a flock of children to swallow a hundred lives. Only heaven alone does not fail to abandon a man or woman who has acted foolishly.

Give a plentiful supply of good things for the people's tiring years. Teach them to perform without friction, Make them vigorous, Create them prosperous, They will begin to take their origin, Because when you make a human, It gives birth to a man or a woman. When you tie a rope, it becomes a weapon. When a country becomes vigorous, It spoils itself. A single person always disregards the purpose of a multitude.

The teaching of Tao was rather like a river of water. It can make a good cart, but cannot stop a good ship.
Just because it can be used, doesn't mean it must be used.
When he wants to expand his possessions, he must use them for their full share.
When he wants to subordinate his ambitions, he must remember his roots.
What Tao does is produce more for its own sake than to express itself in words or put into practice.
It teaches not by force but through the subtle yet intelligent action of acting from the inside.
These are the superficial interpretations and the extravagance of Tao.
It should not be followed by the masses of people.
<|endoftext|>
Tao has its roots in the small,
It is not contentious,
It brings about the good without ulterior motive.
It provides for what is lacking and makes all things flourish.
It strengthens the stature of a person by giving birth to many children.
It rids the earth of filth by providing for the sustenance of all living things.
It nourishes all living things by opening up and purifying the oceans.
Because it does not seek to achieve its purpose, the world will find peace.
It does not assert its position, it gives rise to friendship and trust.
Tao does not delight in words.
It knows what is best.
It advances, but not seeking to dominate.
It completes its task, but does not boast.
It is the humble and hidden source of the Tao.
<|endoftext|>
A man of good degree, for his entry into this world, is one that makes good use of what he has.
A man of good degree is all-pervasive, and does good when nothing is demanded.
He is a man of good degree, for he strengthens what is lacking.
He is a man of good degree, for he strengthens when there is nothing to hinder.
He is a man of good degree, for he nourishes when there is nothing to oppose.
He is a man of good degree, for he purifies when there is nothing that gets in the way.
In so doing, he is a man of good degree, for he does not compete with any one.
He is a man of good degree, for he lets things grow, and not seeking anything.
He is a man of good degree, for he increases

If we can lead them without discarding them,
We may conceivably turn the masses to our side.
As my Master's words reveal:
<|endoftext|>
Follow our way, that will not spoil you; Follow our tools, that we may not be used; Yet, keep your path constant.
Do you dare to exalt yourself to be equal to the gods? If the god is equal to you,How much do you fear being greater? If you dare to be unequal to him,How much more do you fear being held back?
Give a son or a husband more than you have,And he will seek out new conquests.Give [your children] more than you have,And he will try to toughe it.Give [your husband] more than you have,And he will contend with you.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao is different from everything.
It cannot be spoken of or talked about.
And it is not likely to be shown to you
Unless you use it.
If you desire to praise or humiliate,
Watch what you do not do.
Allow the pupil of Heaven to be taught
The attributes of Heaven (which are not clear)
By the method of our Way
And accept the teaching
Because it is Tao and not human words
Possible even your father:
(Knowing) that even the weakest is strong and that
To defeat one's rival by putting him in a lot of trouble
Is an example of great folly.
You cannot fight another
When you lose the battle;
Your life is not your own.
This is the subtle principle.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao does not use itself to do what it is;
It gives itself force by means of acting.
If people try to show that it is Tao,
They only prove it to be misleading.
Therefore one who desires to shine forth in the eyes of the gods,
Must submit himself to a man of good nature.
The principles of good nature are not always obvious,
So it is better to avoid being conspicuous.
If you are a great orator,
Do not try to shine forth to the world.
Not wishing to be a man of great virtue,
Never show that in you.
If you dare to stretch the limits of power to conquer a country
If you are not yet great
Do not show that in you.

With no home to return to.
When a fish gets into the whirlpool, it rolls around all around the whirlpool.
When the bait man leaves, the bait will rebound.
He who tries to grab hold of the world
Withdraws.
He who tries to turn the world
Reverses.
Who maddens to lose?
Maddens to lose because he doesn't see the fish there.
Who dares madden a hundred others?
Madden a hundred others for no reason.

How do I see that things happening? I look at them through their causes. Everything that is real is governed by its causes.
When I look at a thing, it is produced from it.
But when I look at no-thing, it is created.
Yet, when I look at the Eternal Tao, I am already conscious of it.
And so is the Tao.
Therefore, Tao is unchangeable and forever Nameless. Nameless is the Primal Source. Nameless is the Essence. The Essence of the World. Tao is the ultimate image.
It is invisible yet ever-present.
It is hidden yet always present.

Reversing and returning
Unbroken
Its importance can only be imaged
Its value can only be named
Its entirety that unhewn and propped up
Its unity that uncarved and fashioned
Its substantial unity
Its inherent essence
It is the living virtue
Its living vessel
It is the eternal essence
Its primal matter, nature
Its limitless mirror
The All-existing source
Its life-giving life
The one self
The Universal Divinity
The very life-giving reality
The cosmic universe
The cycle of all that happens

I am a tingle
I know the real

I realize the invisible
I am the silence of the mind

Lao Tze says:Those who prize their opponent too much will want to compete with them. Those who covet their opponent will want to conquer him. Those who try to coerce their opponent will want to break up his group. Those who strive to control their opponents will want to blow up his place of power. These are perilous strategies which are powerful enough to pierce the human heart, but are also effective at weakening the people. Therefore, a wise man knows how to use them, he acts without pretense, he imposes his views without imposing them. When he doesn't trust people he shows the good side, but when people trust him he tries to subdue them.

If you dwell in contention, You will soon be in contention with others. If you lose sight of your goal, You will lose sight of your goal.If you try to force your way, It will cause confusion and discord. However strong your purpose may be,It cannot overcome the laws of the universe. Therefore, An able ruler respects The Way, He acts but doesn't assert, He does nothing that is not necessary. He is therefore able to reassure, But without splitting his people.

Make for small beginnings, Yet establish solid strength; Strengthen your own Self before your beloved's.Abandon selfishness, Dispose of each other's burdens; Oppose each other's ambitions. It is wise to take care of the smallest things,That it may be room for greater purposes. To lean upon the inner circle Never's soul too far from its core;To inspire the mind in righteousness Always will be a slight calamity. In the head, hold fast to the heart and Principle; If you must yet risk your life, Leave that beneath and grab it with its might.

Consider your isk as a small starting block, Little beyond growth. Do not try to dominate and dominate will not last. Take care of your body, worry not for yourself. Lose your concerns, All conflicts will die down. Seek your inner clarity, Help your path, And when your fears are over, rise to new positions.
<|endoftext|>
Use smaller beginnings as a starting point, Follow your own inclinations as your life's foundation. Do not control and control will not last. Be open to the strengths in others, and when troubles arise, embrace them. Yet to be tolerant of one's own inclinations is an impermanent virtue, And without self-knowledge is apt to act rashly. Even if you have no self-knowledge you can still guide others by an inward ability.
<|endoftext|>
Aim to be small as an amicable process. In order to act as if one has a good foundation, you must first be eternally your own person. Do not think that you are the one who has the good foundation. Fulfill your ambition to lead, and the work will never stop. If you live by Infinity's soft, transparent methods,
your mind will never stray from the inward essence.

Aim for the beginning as a starting-point. Be cautious of your wealth, so that you will act with care for the end. It is in these matters that one should do the right thing.

Achievement is not everything; it's a sign of rest.
When you achieve a great thing, you can't dwell on it.
Give your still to the people, and your still won't be wasted.
Take people by the hand and trust them.
Live in the light, and the deep won't die.
If you want to be self-sufficient, then you must contend with people.
If you want to dominate, then you must be like the man of old.
The ancient men did not interfere, so you can also do the same.
If you are quick to act, you won't be remembered.
Always slow to act, you'll be remembered.
Success is not as important as non-action.
Way is not flawless, it's the Inner Light of the Tao.
Return to the Tao.
<|endoftext|>
The truly great deeds do not attract your attention, The the eternal action is like that of Tao. The things become powerless and become in the state of a helpless thing,
Therefore, what is able to take hold and nourish the same can also be the one which nourishes the opposing ones.
By not making conflict evident,
the action is not said to have in the slightest been acted on.
Still less is it said that the existence of something was performed.
That which can also take hold and nourish being, can also nourish what has been made.
Therefore, if one's action should act as against another's, it would be better for the latter to act according to its own will.
He who is able to have a possession or a share in the possession,
If he be able to be the one who may act as against another,
can also act according to his own will.
A person of unfailing ability should, in taking possession of something, seek the favour of others;
While those of unfailing ability who, by being competent, should receive things,
should also seek the favour of others.
Therefore, the one who knows his own will, and the one who understands his own will, are as distinct as are those who are of the same natures.
Neither is it right to say, in asserting that the natural man wishes to take possession of this,
that it should be the thing he takes possession of.

You should keep your opponent's arms stiff. You should allow his foe to roll him around. The soft conquers the strong. He who wants to take possession of your neighbor, must first curb his own ambitions. He who wants to demolish your neighbor, must first expand his own possessions. Whoever attempts to reduce another to a condition of servitude, will lose a point to him. To say it shrewdly is to lose a point. To show it, this is not wisdom. If you want a man to have all his needs, you must allow him to live at your expense.
<|endoftext|>
If your opponent would set your arms like wreaths, you would hold your people like nuts. He who rolls you will roll him around like straw, He who destroys you will set you back. Have no desire to grab and throw around your enemies. Therefore the fool acts before he is strong.
<|endoftext|>
If your adversary attacks your people with violence, you should restrain him. He who rolls you will roll him around. He who is destroyed will roll him back. Do not love your foe; then he will become your benefactor.
<|endoftext|>
If you oppose your enemy by force, you should use your strength: if your enemy rolls him around, he will roll him around. If he who is destroyed rolls you back,he will roll you back.To love what is hated is to be useful; He who loves what is despised is indeed to be disgraced.
<|endoftext|>
Your enemies will have to resort to violence to get the world. They who are violent will then have to resort to violence. If their very blockage is to roll over them,Then they will roll over themselves. It is better for a gentle king to be without conflicts.
<|endoftext|>
You must be even tempered by enemies, for they are likely to rage out. Those who get their wealth by violence are content with little reward. Those who lose their wealth are content with little gain. For the cunning mind makes all of the world conform to it, and then to it its work is done. Therefore, where the place of power lies, let no one dwell.

Lao Tze says,If your opponent is ready to use violence against your people, stop him and let him roll like a big load

'It appears he makes great efforts.' 'It appears he is filled with strength.' 'It appears he is active.' 'It appears that he is unsteady in his will. When leaders make the country truly simple then the masses will be influenced from the inside out. When their governing is lighthearted then the people will be quick to seek more and more. When their government is serious then the people will not dare to break through to a new level. By turning this into a decline we can make it develop into strength. By using it for it's own good we can turn it into a good creation. By having a part we can fill it. By having a body we can develop it. By being comfortable in our self we can become as comfortable as the ocean. If the people are content then there will be nothing to worry about.
These five things I teach the world as though these were the governing principle:
[Simplicity] (Cleanliness)
[Lightness]
[Harmony]
[Potency]
[Loyalty]
[Exhaustion]
These I teach for the good of the world, and thus prevent it from being a source of disorder to the world. When (the general body) is simple (without distinction of things),
People will not be bewildered at all.
When (the rulers) are lighthearted (with regard to the external affairs of life),
People will not be dismayed at all.
When (the rulers) are serious (in their attitude towards the external affairs of life),
People will not be stirred up by any extreme measure.
Those who are at ease in their own person
Will not be troubled.
When the people have fulfilled the desires of the people,
The ruler will gain the people's trust.

By observing how his mind functions, one might also observe its range.
The mind is a gateway into the soul;
The soul is a gate to infinity.
The soul that stretches itself out may be overstretched;
The soul that stretches itself to the utmost can soon be exhausted.
Therefore the wise person does not overdo what he does best.
In order to stand out, he must also be small.
One must not overestone one's own strengths.
One must learn to stand on the shoulders of those that cannot overcome.
Do not be over-intelligent, for intelligence is a great weakness.
Do not be excessive, for a person of all ages must be excessive.
Above all, avoid extremes.

How about things you want to make do to their natural course? They seem like such stubborn creatures.
The quicker they push themselves, the more will come out, and then it will be blocked up.
The higher they go, the harder they go, and then it will collapse.
The more they strive, the greater will be their exhaustion, and then they are lost.
The good man of old would have taken care of things this way.
One who is small is helped, one who gets ahead is helped, one who conquers is helped, one who can produce is helped.
Those who have learned humility will never fail to show.
By stretching their shoulders they can reach their goal.

The way things go about, they might as well be pursuing wild beasts.
Therefore, of those that come to my house of business,
Those that come now will probably have to shrink down;
Yet, I advise one that thinks it am powerfull to hold on to them.
If they can keep up with them;
If they can get them into order;
If they can get them in order;
If they can get them in order,
Then they will be complete.
Therefore the wise give himself, and gives himself well.
One that takes the smallest step
Will soon be helped to reach the goal;
Those that reach

When a man in the high estate (highest rank) would have an issue, he would return (in the same way a child would come to his parent). When a man with true rank and merit would have an issue, he would tend to abandon it; When the chief among the people would have an issue, he would seek to be elevated to the position; He would venture to guide others without dominating, and only when they would be of value; When the chief among the people would have an issue, he would [cast away] it, when they would take the position, he would strive to lead others, But he would be in accord with their natural condition, When they would have an issue, he would return to them, when they would have the high position, he would strive to lead others, [truly] he would be in harmony with their natural state. The spirits in the vessels are active in these things. The vessels [properly speaking] are used to give life to man. Is it not so with [the affairs of] Tao?

When a high ranking official has an issue, it must be dealt with with quietness and calmness. When a 'no risk' person has an issue, it must be dealt with with calmness and calmness. Boiled sweet tastes of Heaven
Can be shaped
So deeply, It cannot be flavorless.
So deep, it cannot be flavorless.
Going on, all things become animate,
At last the Heaven-mother says:
Lifest is full of not-existent,
And then the universe is filled.
In delving deep, the soul
And the lower creatures soon disappear.
Therefore it is said:
Lifest is empty,
The self-subsisting subsistent,
And the transcendent being likewise.
The self is most sublime, and so likewise,
The submissive is most submissive,
And so the transcendent being likewise.
The humility of the spirit
Leads to the conquering of the collective forces,
And to the conquest of the collective forces,
Yet the masses of beings lead to failure.
Now, if the masses are to be defeated,
They must first conquer one
And then force the others to submit
After that, all mankind will be subjugated.
Therefore:
"Good shall overcome evil,"
He who is good can overcome evil.
He who is good can overcome evil.
He who is good can overcome evil.
He who is good can overcome evil.
He who is good can overcome evil.
He who is good can overcome what is not good.
He who is good can overcome what is superior.
If he is good, he can act in ways of good as well.
Therefore, humility leads to action, action leads to achievement, and triumph is accomplished through the collaboration of the masses.
The Higher Base is the Fountain-gate of all things, And it is through this Fountain-gate that all things come to fruition.
He who is humble acts according to his inner being, And thereby takes on a Submissive Spirit. This is called Valuing and Soiling the Path.

He who is just acts well,

Is he to get it first?
The Earth will subdue,
And then the myriad creatures will have to submit
For then what became great will rise up
And then all will be given its due.
In just this manner the people come and

Be content with what you have, and be content with what is lost. The sage uses the term "splitting" to describe the ability to control what has happened. The ability to control what happened is exactly the ability to control the process itself. This ability is vital, and if not kept in control, the process will become chaotic. When the process becomes chaotic, it follows that the ability will become separated from the ability, and there will be no alternative.

Better to preserve your wealth (that's what they call it), and not try to be strong.

Lao Tze says:The ancients (Sages) loved their land to its utmost. They avoided temptation by keeping it dark, and avoiding danger by guarding it in order to allow it to grow. Now,the older the place, the less it would develop, and the less it would shrink;for this we can see that a fool who takes over a feudal family becomes a proud one, and is supported by a hundred men;and a general who takes over a nation becomes a relative one;and he who takes over his house becomes the lord of all his neighbours. Therefore,it is the dark to bring down a powerful man, and the small to make him capable of ruling a hundred men. Therefore it is that the wise man should become a man of the land, and the leader of a country, but keep his knowledge of the dark, the small, the neglected and the timid, so that his strength will shine forth. For he will thus take more than he will need of the strength he has,and the loss will be lessened.

When kings are "unbearable," then [they] become extremely rare.
There are a myriad ways of becoming abysmal.
Many a way can lead to abysmalness.
Many a way can lead to abysmalness.
The abysmal is the beginning of the strong.
The heavy is the origin of the light.
The abysmal is the beginning of strength.
If something is weak it is best to let it grow.
If something is obtrusive it is best to let it be.
He who follows this is well versed in [things to be done]; but for the sake of those [things] that are important, let them [the others] be left out.

The rulers of old were modest:
And were among the most glorious of kings.
Then, at their death, their beauty faded.
Now the hollowness will be turned out into strength,
The scanty will be turned out into glory,
The base will be turned out into strength,
The ugliest will be turned out into glory.
So if the king is hollowness,
He must have strength.
And, if the king is hollowness,
He must have strength.
Therefore the Wise Man, when he considers that he is in peril
He will show himself less hollowness;
But when he is in peril he will show himself less strong;
But when he is in peril he will show himself less strong.
He who has the light will show himself less hollowness.

It is because he has affairs that he is not greatly hollowness.

The Master erases its own Light, and then renews it again.
Knowing the virtues of the Tao, And then letting go of them.
Tao can only be achieved if the goal is achieved.
The following steps are meant to lead:
First, be what you are not. Then, be like what you are not.
Second, be what you have. Then, be like what you have.
Third, be like what you have not.
Fourth, be what you do not have.
The Master clears his own Light, and then reembraces his own Virtue.
He draws lessons of the Tao, and then uses them to guide others.
Tao can be achieved only by the right goal,
A simple goal that can be achieved with absolute goodness.

Loves the world, and wants nothing from it.
Loves the perfect Being, and wants nothing from it.

It is the strategy that brings an end to the strategy that leads to the other strategies. It is the tactic that results in the other tactics.

Welcome back to your natural state.
This site is now live!
If you don't want to go, go.
If you want to be, you can be.
To see your true nature, first see yourself.
The true is seen first as the unreal.
Watch the beauty and darkness together, and you are both illuminated.
What is solid becomes soft; what is dark becomes bright. This is why God moves everywhere but in the light.
All is like the Little Bride with her Sweet in the Door.
When you are content to let the next step be what you are: When you see beauty, the next light is hidden.
Beauty in its turn becomes darkness.
Darkness is why the good person does good, and the bad person does evil.

He who chooses life
lacks recognition
and wants to stay in the world
He who chooses death
lacks acknowledgment
and wants to die.
Thus each one of them has to
choose
death, and then death itself
For it is only by choosing death
that he may escape his misery
And escape all that troubles him
With his last desire,
for the present moment.
One may not like what is there
but for
that he cannot love what is there
for he sees the beautiful
and the hideous
and all things in the same light.
The soul of a man is like a living plum-tree
or a straw-brock
left to its own ways
and it is as dark as it is bright.
Because it is quiet and dusky, it becomes the great mirror of Heaven
and the light of all under Heaven.
He who loves himself is like the earth
or heaven itself
and he who loves all under heaven
can love only himself.
Thus there are different ways of
pretending
to love each other.
The highest heaven of every living thing
is like a great hollow tree
or a shallow cave
which brings the rich, fresh-baked spring
to the shores of the sea

What a man does in the light he does by not stirring,
the Tao does by non-stirring.
<|endoftext|>
In the very beginning of the universe, there was nothing. The minute separation of parts that became a single substance.
The most firm and imperceptible was the original which was the womb of everything.
He who does not want to live is free from selfishness.
He who does not wish to be a success is always to be praised.
He who is relaxed is at peace.
People are:
Achieving the purpose
One will reach the goal
Leadership of the Inner circle
Glorifying the spirits
In a state of stillness the forces of nature are recognized
In peace and tranquility
People are
Pursuing their lives
Pursuing their ambitions
Creating peace
Making their goals manifest
They are at the center of the universe
Working to bring life to the world
Creating harmony
Regaining the noblest
These three phases of the beginning are but the manifestations of the Tao.
The Tao is infinite.
<|endoftext|>
In its very beginning there were five.
-The space within their shell.
-Benevolence and justice.
-Timid and gentle.
-The soft and the pliant.
-The strong and the steadfast.
-The spacious and empty.
-Those who possess
or does not possess.
-The simple and the active.
-Those who desire and do not desire.
The first form of Tao, the essence.
Thus,
One can become as
or
as an empty vessel.
Is this not the reason for the?
That such is the essence of the Tao?
This is the reason for

one who is undistracted in life.
Is this not the reason for the?
That such is the reason for the?
That such is the reason for the?
That such is the reason for the?
That such is the reason for the?
That such is the reason for?
That such is the reason for?
One who is tranquil and has no desire.
Is this not also the reason?
Is this not the reason of Tao?
Is this not the reason of life?
Therefore,
the ones of great virtue, who act with subtlety
in order to benefit others,

Appropriately put,
The wise are those who are profound
In vague questions, without seeming to know it.
They are those who speak out loud to the world,
But without speaking.
They are those who keep long images without opening.
They are those who are ruthless and scathing in words,
But without being calculated with words.
They are those who do not turn away from war
And blow so loud that no one in the land is able to hear them.
The lightness of the Tao is lightness, but depth must be hidden.
The depth of the Tao is more than light.
But when the light is lost, the depth must be retained.

Lao Tze says:"All things have a strength to which they must not rely; The weak to which they must not rely. But although they may have not the strength, They cannot be acted upon. They have the nature of beasts, In that they are not ravished away by violence. They would not beget them; They are not subject to the government; They would not be regarded as duly erected, And would not be operated upon." Therefore the soft and weak are well received, And the strong and indomitable the less favoured. They act as the principle of a government, And it must be produced by violence, Because, it is most unlikely that it will be produced by violence. Therefore, therefore it is best that men of great learning Should keep silent, And govern the state in silence, And work out the institutions in the quiet and serene manner which is proper for the rule of men. They must not proclaim to the world to whom the action is done, And justify their own actions in terms of their own (internal) rules. Thus it is proper that they should be subtle in their doctrine, and require no sign to direct them. If all the world takes no notice of their teaching, But does merely listen to their silence, Then all the days of the world are without end, And no one disturbs them, since their rulers are not contrived for by cunning contrivances. They make their own laws, But do not bring them about by force. They are mild-minded, they are wise, And seek to rule by the least usage. They love the Tao, But not to be thought too perfect, And to show

The Sage gives rise to some
But teaches others not to learn.
At the right point, let everything become tranquil,
From the left point, let it grow into a whole.
Maintain the original source from which everything came forth.
Maintain balance from which everything will come forth.
Keep it hidden from all but through kindness and goodness,
And you will have all the parts of a vessel.
Of all the parts of a vessel, you have a person, a throne, a hall.
Of these things, a person is not the center.
But be at one with kindness, and you receive all.
And be at one with goodness, and you receive all.
A son of Tao is born.
A son of Tao is not governed.
From infancy on, do not detain the Way.
<|endoftext|>
The Sage "setstle" some and gives rise to others.
The first one should keep his object in an inactive state.
the next should practice the movement of activity.
maintain the original state.
and finally, by virtue of natural kindness and goodness,
it will bring forth a form.
this will allow the proper fulfillment of a body.
But this is the inactivity of the first one.
it is the follower who does the best,
so that a state like a vessel.
a house.
and a thing.
and a thing.
The image, and the person are not the parts.
But turn around and a body.
And to your left the throne.
and to your right the hall.
Though things may be different in nature,
they remain with the same conception.
They are intermingled into the One.
By so doing, you have the spirit of the Lord.
<|endoftext|>
When the subtle wisdom reaches maturity, people start to focus on their careers rather than on learning. Yet, when they learn, people become even more busy and drift off to achieve nothing, untrained and confused. If these things were not so, none would learn. You need to stay grounded in things and live out the usefulness of the Uncarved Block. Wherever you

Tao is constant
Without beginning,
The eternally present,
Transcends conception and name,
The totality of eternally present;
Gravity of eternally present
Expand, contract, weaken
Surpass the Ten Thousand Things
Boundless,
Acting without end,
Ultimate Creation
The soft and weak conquer
The strong and strong overcome
Unquestioning, one sees
Clarity.
The subtle yet clear
The timeless,
The open gateway to all things.
<|endoftext|>
The Way is constant.
Neither birth nor death,
Neither movement nor rest,
Invariably preserves itself
Without distinction or use;
Direction never limits;
Like a stream flowing forever,
Its course never declined.
This is called the tao of Dao, and yet it is
given little name.
It is subtle and profound.
It is the mystery of the Dao.
It can be known and not known.
It can be seen and not seen.
It can be understood and not understood.
Yet in it one may discover the light,
and that light can be transformed into insight and understanding.
The Way may be named
Or the name will be used;
Or the name will be used
Or the name shall not be used.
The subtlety of the Way
Is the mystery of one's own being.
In the workings of the nature and spirit,
To know complete completeness, is difficult;
But a fair analysis of the Way
Is the mystery of one's own being.
To know complete completeness,
Is difficult and very illuminating.
To know complete completeness,
Is extremely bright.
To know complete completeness,
Is very deep.
To understand the subtlety of the Way
Is the great mystery of the nature and spirit
The gateway to the mystery of the universe.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao never changes.
The perpetual Nameless
The Eternal Virtue
This cannot be named,
But no one could name it,
Therefore it is called the Nameless.
And it cannot be overcome,
So it is called the Eternal.

Next highest is it than the lowest. Higher is it than next lowest. Next highest is it than the next highest. Next highest is it than the next lowest. Higher than next highest is the next lowest. The Tao is infinite and does not enter or leave; so this is the highest, in the sense that it does not interfere with other things. It may be called the uncarved block,The uncarved block is superior to the uncarved block in that it doesn't split.Being superior, it is uncarved, and may be bent down.Being superior, it is superior to other beings of the Way.In the mind of the living, it may be thought of as an image. In the mind of the dead, it is called the root of disasters. It may be considered as the shadow of the Tao.Even though the mind of an individual has never had the experience of the Tao, there is an image in it which is alive in the living, a part of it which has lived, and existed in the past.

The Infinity is infinite;Yet it does not become. Its Infinity may be compared to the top.If you let it out of its cage,It will come and find you.If you let it in it may come and find you.It can be shaped, carved, bent, pried,Bored with it, it will never be free. That is why the tao is called the Great. With the great, the hard is softer. When it comes first it causes trouble,When it first leaves

When we tie our arms about them:
Banish the rope from their ties.
Banish the lashing from their bindings.
We can't shrink them, yet we can't throw them away.
We can't weaken them, yet they will not be broken.
We can't empty them, yet they will not be depleted.
To satisfy a need, what needs?
Make a good use of what you have,
and discard the bad.
Only this does it:
To the soft and weak the strong,
To the hard and strong the weak.
This is to empty what we have,
and to fill what we have with nothing.
Thus:
The soft and weak shall prevail over the hard and strong;
The weak shall overcome the strong.
Thus the Sage is the completer of the hard and the strong.
This is to empty the self, and fill the self with nothing.

When we reluctantly bind a rope, or grasp a busy bowl, it brings about its own downfall.
The user of heavy weapons has no need to manipulate it.
When yielding is used as a reason to harm or destroy,
it will only increase the original harm.
When the gem is used for hooch,
it will continue to enhance the horrible habit.
The noble woman does not possess substance.
She acts without products.
She gives without taking.
While we may see the smooth and full
it is in her hollow shell that we find the substance.
She does not possess power.
She acts without power.
These three lines are all the same:
The weak always prevails over the strong.
The strong always triumph over the weak.
The learned do not possess a skill.
They act without skill.
When we see the thistle and the bramble
they signify the same as a weapon.
The wise person does not hold onto a certain emotion.
It is constant.
In her actions she is flawless.
She merely rolls it up in a whirlpool.

Therefore, the Wise Man practises the following attitude:
Softness is sought after, then the gentleness is preferred.
Softness enhances his strength.
Nerve and knots must be cut before strength is worked.
Therefore the Wise Person also follows the following behaviour:
"Nerve and knots must be cut before strength is built up."
This is the secret of the Power of Teh.

The use of noetic power will harm no virtue.
The user will not make use of the tool,
and will abandon the simple.
The use of noetic power will make the vessel skittish,
and set it against the norm.
The use of noetic power will overwhelm and ruin the vessel,
and make it inferior.
The use of noetic power will loosen the knots of virtue,
and change it from a system to a series of varying forms.
The Master does not use empty words:
"These things are unlikely to be well used,
nor are they worthy to be displayed.
Therefore, she uses this secret:
Things that are likely to be well used are likely to be used well,
and things that are likely to be well treated are likely to be treated well."

When a vessel is carried, it must first be tamped down.
When a rope is stretched, it must first be broken.
When a stone is twisted, it must first be cleared.
When a person is forced to learn, they must first be commanded.
When a Master works, he can only make it last.
He won't be present and open.
He will be present and empty.
He will be present and gentle.
He will be present and inactive.
He will be present and peaceful.

A Master pulls it down.
It never becomes smooth.
It stays intact.
It's a different type of counter.
It will never take the floor.
When an important object is put down,
it is replaced with a simple stone.
A Master works on the bowl and builds the handle.
He works on the cup and finishes the cup.
He works on a chariot and rolls out the wheels.
A Master works on the ice and rolls out the ice

In this respect, this is called Perfect Simplicity.
The imperfect yet may be followed up on.

The one without primordial Light shall make a nation.

That Mystery remains, even after humanity has exhausted it.

Before: Those who appeared and were born don't have much (something) to hold on to;
after: Those who appear and go on have enough to have (enough).
From:Those who were born have more than enough to carry on.
Those who live to an old age have too much.
Those who lead a life of untiring labor will seem slow.
Those who get ahead and fail will lose it.
All these are phantoms of still further depths, of still further limits.
And if you don't abide in the primordial Light, you lose your sovereignty.

Those who become as newborn don't have much to hold on to.
Those who become as grown people have plenty to be held on to.

Those who become as inadequate as rivers (by their wealth) have plenty to be held on to.
Those who become as strong as kings have plenty to be held on to.
Those who lead a reign of constant violence will be set back.
If a person lives in a country where he can't shine,

When a brilliant person succeeds in gaining the respect of others,

An unmanly way can cause ugliness.
A soft and weak way is the path to dishonor.
A hard and strong way is the path to pride.

The way of Saint Germain is like softness and gentleness:And neither does he become the humbug of earth,For he is the sweetest of the sweet. He is the peaceful of the tranquil of the calm,And to him the wind always blows.Should it not seem good to the world,He must not display himself there.
<|endoftext|>
What is the Great Tao (of all time)? It is profound, and gentle, soft and yielding;Although it can cause rejoicing for the world,It never shies away from damage, violence, or violence.Should it be in opposition with the Great Tao?Violence will bring about its own destruction.Violence should be avoided, and the pursuit of destruction will not help. The examples that follow help to illustrate the Way:Let the soft endure and the yielding endure.Let the soft endure and the yielding endure; The peace of the land can not remain untouched. This peace is the source of all happiness and tranquility. No one should try to keep the peace, for the very peace is their source of misery. Therefore, the leader of a state and their social body:Even in the midst of strife, Do not seek to excite it, though the strife might erupt in front of you.
<|endoftext|>
This is the great peace. It is mysterious and gentle. It is weak and yielding. It is soft and delicate. It is dynamic and deep.It is invisible and rare.It is the domain of honor and gain. But how could violence hurt it?For we should always try to draw them back to us.
<|endoftext|>
The greatest peace is the subtle way, which moderates the extremes. It is mild and yielding, and yet thick and strong. It is subtle and intangible. It is void of self-reflection, and yet it can be called the secure source of the world. If it is no longer secure, the world will be lost. Therefore, we should not have anything to do with peace and harmony; we should not emphasize

When things can be improved, they must be improved, too.
When things can be divided, they must be divided, too.
When something exists, it should not exist.
Those who grow older and wiser need to lead, not force them.
They need to nourish the things around them, not dominate them.
To be a good leader is to live in harmony with the Infinite.

When making something soft, bewoy, you need to make it hard.
When weakening something, you need to strengthen it.
When controlling something, you need to enable it.
When something is given, you need to give it to it's possessor.
In order to flow to the Source, the Sage must yield all on earth to him.
Therefore the ten-thousand things may abide in order to survive;
the rulers in order to rule;
the people in order to follow.
How do I know this to be so?
My ability to do so derives from my stillness, my stillness to see the subtle essence of things,
my stillness to recognise that all things are what they are and should therefore be governed only by themselves.
<|endoftext|>
To make soft, bewoy it with stiff.
To weaken it, strengthen it.
To control it, allow it to develop.
To give to it, give to take.
Not to need anything, yet maintain possession.
This is called
The Secret Spirit of Life.
Softness overcomes stiffness, and weakens when weakened.
Weakness weakens the more it is stimulated.
Strengthening weakens the more he has set up for it.
To have enough, get too much.
Don't dwell on how much you possess.
Manage your resource-placings, not with everything you take for granted.
When an old man of sense lets go, he is older than he was when he made his way to the old fashioned ways.
<|endoftext|>
What was to be twisted was eventually made thin. What was to be hammered was eventually replaced. What was to be held should be given. What was to be grasped should be yielded.
This is called "the secret of life". Softness overcomes resistance, and weakens when agitated. Resistance weakens when acted upon.Freedoms receive and grant;Granted abilities (intelligence)

We are people, and as such, we exist only in the realm of the Non-being; hence, we don't practice doing anything, from drawing water to fertilizing a valley to rescuing a newborn baby. The way of non-being is to be a living being; to use a child in its natural condition.
<|endoftext|>
The earth is one with all.Everything in it lives but one thing: It is the nonbeing, so it is one with everything.Everything in it lives, so it is one with everything.Everything in it lives, so it is one with everything.Everything in it lives, so it is one with everything.Everything in it lives, so it is one with everything.Everything in it lives, so it is one with everything. It has given birth to all beings. It has nourished them all.So, to the end of life one could be given credit for giving life to things. To the end of life one could be credited for taking something by the hand. This is called what is hidden. That is why it is without speech, it is called the hollowness. What is soft and weak conquers what is hard and strong, so it is said the fish should never kill something in the depths. A person should never kill their life. And to this my next response, the fish will not only not kill a fish,
But would never take anything away from it.

All beings are manifestations of the Primal Self.As beings, they each know their own Self.As manifestations, they each have responsibilities. As manifestations, they are all filled with fear and sorrow. And they all have much to be happy about.
In the presence of these "selfless things," as it were, the Principle in a Whole shows us the manifestation of itself. As the manifestations of this Self appear, we can therefore view the Principle's situation as a manifestation of itself.
<|endoftext|>
The sage regards all things as the Collective Being that it is.
He embraces them all as it were the Collective Being that it is.
All things are in close relationship with the Collective Being, yet the Collective Being remains a Great Tao Being.
It suffuses everything within reach, yet it is always present within.
It engulfs everything within reach, yet it is always present within.
It creates all things, yet it possesses all of

As for the Master, the Tao in him is not supreme. He may succeed but he fails to establish a supreme obedience. Therefore his actions, if they fail to obtain the happiness which he himself would have, are taken in vain. Therefore, when the master wants to step forth, he causes an opening to be made. When he seeks to lose his way, he makes it easy for his way. When he finds his destination unachievable, he will give up his ambition.
<|endoftext|>
When a master does not keep its law, he is thus efficient; But when a teacher (like Teh) keeps its law, he is but always quite wrong. He who, knowing not how to fulfil his wishes, leaves it behind:Thus he who knows not how to fulfil his desires, leaves it behind:So, when he himself does not wish to depart, he has no need to send a demand.
<|endoftext|>
The Master who does not abide by Tao loses nothing and never falls into ruin.A well-behaved person will not live by the loss of Tao,And if he does perish, it is only in consequence of his own folly. If, on the other hand, a person who follows Tao is restrained to love him who is not well-behaved, he will lose his morality; If a person who loves himself will not love others, and if he could win over all who love him, he will become a very strong man. When the master and the follower meet in conflict, they differ only in the value of their action, and the first act of the one is to love the other.
<|endoftext|>
When Tao is not adhered to, it loses its power.A good person will not live by it.But a man who does not live by it will do nothing, and it has no purpose. One who only loves himself will be the butt of others.Only when one can win the approval of others, will one be praised.
<|endoftext|>
If it does not succeed, do nothing.
If a person does not love Tao, then he is not strong enough.
Love yourself, but do not love others.
Let others value you only if they are able to be outstanding in self-respect.
Losing this means losing Tao.

If you want to be thin,Become curved. If you want to be weak,Become strong. If you want to be uprooted,Become spacious. If you want to be renewed,Become eternal. The way of Tao is to be gentle and small. Thus it rebounds; It is not stiff; It is not strong; It does not commit to anything. From it comes all our pleasures,From it comes all our sorrows. Thus it is very excellent.
<|endoftext|>
The perfection of man, by acting from the simplicity of his nature, leads to superlative virtue. On the one hand, the TAO will be gentle and gentle; It will not press down upon men, and by gentle action will make them simple and hearty. On the other hand, gentle action will put an end to the wish to be great. The TAO will be kind and kindhearted; It will have no desires for conquest, and will be friendly. In things of this kind it will be impartial and even impartial. It will be serene and tranquil; It will be restful and undisturbed. Thus the highest goodness leads to the supreme goodness.
<|endoftext|>
The Master's presence produces transformation, and therefore, simplicity creates perfection. The Master's embracing of the primal is natural, and thus, the mastery of the Second Principle produces the mastery of the first. The Master's presence produces mastery and mastery yields. The presence of the Primal creates Mystic Power. Mystic Power is dynamic, unlimited, and connects all creatures. Mystic Power flows through the infinite, and so ends all suffering. Those who are wise can guide and advise, and yet the clarity of Mystic Power flows into all things.
<|endoftext|>
When the Tao reaches perfection, it becomes gentler and less forceful. When the purest Te reveals itself in people, they become sweet and then pure. When the noble ones find their inner power is given, they become strong and then powerful. When the Sage is found in Nature, they become strong, and then perfected. Hence, at the commencement of perfection, it is not hard to endure, or hard to overcome. Therefore the secret is subtle, and the finest.
<|endoftext|>
The desire to be perfect erases the imperfection; and, thus, the work of the Principle becomes omnipotent. The principle is ever with men, loving them and

Therefore he does not know of the usefulness of formal learning,
Therefore, he is not inferior to other people
Therefore he excels them.
He who abides in humility

To be the humble student is to be well versed,
Or to have a knowledge of the natural way.
If you did not know, you would be much confused.
If you were ignorant, you would never learn.
But if you are wise, you love the simple,
And don't force your will on others.
I can tell you what the great man loves the most:
He would prefer to help people rather than to talk himself into favour.

For then, what kind of man would try to snatch a fair from one who has given it to him?
If men cannot see it, and if their hearts cannot bear to behold it, how much less should one who delights in it be given to them!
For as things from the far end (of the earth) shrink, so the return is made, that men might survive!

Knowing one's self is called a hidden and invincible power, it can do more than one can do. Knowing one's inner child is called that hidden and invincible power, can do more than the one can do.Therefore: know thyself and do not rely on others; And thus you will be safe.Know thyself and are not self-complacent, and then you will not be taken advantage of.Know thyself and trust in no one, And then you will not be dishonored.Know thyself and always remain innocent, And you will have no need to scrutinize anyone. As for measuring those who have knowledge of this: it always triumphs; therefore no one can know it.

Being wise is to be feared. The world of men has been acting without reason for thousands of ages.Because of this, the Wise One has been the one who acts without reason. But because the world has been acting without reason, the Wise Person keeps only what is essential. What is essential is all, and its complement is non-essential.Therefore, the Wise Person realizes that what is essential is not necessary; So he may endure, and so endures.Knowing only what is essential,The person does not care about what is not essential. Therefore he endures, and is not despised.Knowing only what is non-essential,The person takes everything as essential; So he endures, and is not despised.Being ignorant of this,The Wise Person is distinguished by others. Therefore, there are no wise people

Those with wisdom and insight needn't embrace insight:All known things spring from chaos, and yet the unshaped One does not seek to dominate or dominate (benevolence).
Those with wisdom and insight musta embrace conflict, or they risk ultimate rejection (morality).
Those with wisdom and clarityCan still grasp what is important, but must have no rules, which teaches a deep (quiescence).
The Way is beyond limitation, and yet the fundamental may be violated (be not 'big enough', for example).
The empty sky may not be closed, and yet there are still creatures (children, dogs, etc.), so when peace is achieved, all these are requited (doing good).
Wise people are indifferent, and yet the sacred can be helped, accomplished, and done, [perhaps] by placing oneself in the role of the helper (in a society, for example).
The world can call for the knowledge of one who acts as impartial, not discriminating, yet not intervening. The righteous action of the righteous is spontaneous, necessary, and even original.

To be part of something is a matter of life and death. The wise man knows when to end his life. That is why it is said that the sage is enduring. Being enduring, one does not rush back to old age. Being old, one does not flaunt oneself. Being flaunted, one does not possess the spoils. Being possessive of the spoils, one does not embrace one's inner self. Being emptied, one does not assert oneself. Being assertive, one is in possession. Being in possession, one does not dare not claim one's existence. To dare not claim one's existence, one does not exist. If one does not exist, one cannot create anything.

Reaching the end of life means a halt in learning, or losing one's mastery. Thus, those who are master of the world never know the end. Those who drift to the end never know the beginning. Those who move inexorably are never abandoned. Those who drift, are never sure. Those who are not sure, are not free. Those who are free, are neither excessive nor insufficient. Those who are insufficient, are hardly existed. Those who are hardly existed, are not [available].Those who are hardly existed, are not sufficient. Those who are insufficient, are neither superfluous nor free. Those who are not superfluous, are not meager. Those who are not modest, are free.Being free from restraint, one may change; those who change, are very free. Thus is it said: "He who masters the world and the Way preserves his attainment, and therefore he is not cut down; he who masterfully rears horses, does not lose [his power]; he who properly treats the people, does not turn them to spoil, he who restores to life the pliant and able to keep one's will. By whom nothing in the world cannot be improved."

When one becomes competent at the end of a lesson, the teacher does not force one to retire. It may be said, ''The master never resorts to the end of things.'' He lets his achievement last for a long time.He doesn't dwell on what has already been done. One who knows how to live for long will not be obliged to live for a long time.He will not become exhausted or subject to constant desire. He will not become self-absorbed.He will not become restless or

One who is in accord with Tao always becomes glad to do what others in accord with Tao would avoid,
because they do not intend to cause any harm.
One who is in accord with Tao always blunts the sharpness of their words,
because they don't intend to hurt anyone.
One who is in accord with Tao always believes that they are innocent,
because they don't intend to hide anything.
One who is in accord with Tao always acts as if it were all right,
because they don't intend to be blamed for anything.
One who is in accord with Tao is always peaceful and tranquil,
because they don't intend to interfere with others.
All things will grow because they will exist,
and one who is not as in accord with Tao
will continue to cause trouble.
Because they are unwholesome, people should know to be wary of them.
Whoever is in accord with Tao

Neither is pleased with what others are not.
One who is not wily can be dissemblalled,
one who is cunning can be manipulated,

Knowing this, no one who tries to follow this world would find fault with him or her.

Bold will not succeed without being forceful. What is too forceful will undo it.What is too soft will break it.What is too stiff will go against it.Thus, every thing that is not completely solid is torn apart.Every thing that is not entirely stable is broken.Everything that is not completely vigorous is crushed down. Therefore the Sage also overcomes the weak by weakening the weak. The great general, however, prefers the simplest to the most effective, preferring the fastest to the slowest. Is it not best to slowly expand to stay rigid, to diminish, and to conserve everything that is full and safe? Therefore, in order to become truly strong, the masses must be depleted.

When men lack self-command, they become filled with fear and inactivity, being constantly made insecure and anxious. When men lack self-command, they become filled with lust and violence. When men lack self-command, they become filled with gladness, with ambition, with desire, with delight, and if they are shut in by fear of loss, delight, and pride, then danger follows. But if the sage holds fast to self-command, and carries the destiny of the world, he will not lose his ability, but will not require much strength.

Of old, even in the highest Heavens,Tao seems to be something that could not be done,And still he can be done.
Heaven alone can produce those things,And earth alone can produce what it needs,And Tao alone can be had by all beings. Thus,Only with those in whom the spirit is completeDoes Tao seem imperfect.
The subtle Valley is a home to myriad creatures,And the Valley is their mother. Thus, when the student of Tao is aware of this,He will understand the subtle nature of his nature,And he will know that he himself is like all creatures.
He is also aware of his own limitations,And he is aware of the limitations of all beings.
Thus he endures life and death, though sometimes losing sight of what he needs.
The valleys of the universe give birth to myriad creatures. The creatures that live in the valleys are their parents,The creatures that live among the creatures are their progeny.
Thus,I alone exist,And the ways of the universe govern my destiny;Only because I alone am wise.
Thus,Tao seems insignificant, like an unlikely substance.Yet it is everything.
There are others like me,Like what the river Or the mountain valley holds.I have done well, so the way rules the path.
Just because I'm aware of my inner nature,I am free from attachment and is without desire.

The universe can be viewed in a single fashion, but the Way is preserved in a multitude of ways. The Way cannot be done, And so, the method of the Way is preserved; Just as the Way, in its immutable essence, cannot be shirked, And so it also endures. By not dwelling on things, The Way stays constant. By not striving for control, The Way remains free of desire. As the few have more than they need, The many will always find something to benefit from.

We are glad when something is lost. We are glad when something is new. We are glad when something has come into being. We are glad when something's being at peace.

It is said that those who become active in the pursuit of their natural ways, as in the Tao, will never cease to be so.
And if they are thus forever inactive, how should they cease to be so? They have completed their natural way, but are never exhausted.
All the natural ways can be exhausted,
But that is not the way for the sage.
The way of the sage is to sustain and renew,
And thereby to become more and more active.
For once you find yourself in a pattern of activity,
It is when you begin to go off in the direction of your natural self that you become restless and restless.
And that is precisely when you become dismayed and overcome.
When you are dismayed and overwhelmed, you have learned to revert to being a thing.
