That which is sought can not be found;
That which is lost can never be found.
Loss is a hard and unhewn thing.
It is in the point of no return.

Lifting something and letting it fall, it advances another,

Desire leads to ill; possessiveness to ill.

Lao Tze says:
Wealth is found by discerning what cannot be found.
People think they possess.
They think they lack.
The greater part of people value and have their possessions.

Lao Tze speaks:
Abandon desire and you will find your goal.
Abandon desire and you will not live.
To reject desire and you will have no regrets.
<|endoftext|>
While desire knows no limit, it carries out its wishes, and its unworthy desires are filled.
Such a thing is only of the greatest peril.
To treasure without being rich, to be generous without being generous, to be inexhaustible and to live beyond your usefulness, to be without opposites, and be without opposites - all these are of great service.

Whatever has desires will not be satisfied.
Whoever has desires will never complete his work.
There is no satisfaction, therefore it is inexhaustible.

The sage of old must have examined everything as if it were not-thing; considered the way it was everywhere; stood at the core of the world. He understood the source of all things; he grasped the roots of all things.
How was his wisdom able to grasp the profound truth? It was enlightened by a quickness of calculation and a quickness of concentration. All his discords were resolved in the space of a year. How?Because he stayed at the center of the world.

The wise one at one time was above all people.Being above all people, he cared for all things. He had knowledge about the universe. He realized the usefulness of every thing. As there were things that happened, he settled with them.Once they were settled, he made sure they were kept safe from harm. As for how he could do so, he knew that every thing had its origin. He understood that his law had laws.He realized that having law he could follow the way.He recognized the plain truths of the world as the way.Everything is born, then there is room for something. And nothing is ever the same again.Through this simple doctrine he realized how everything happens. He was very wise about the meaning of the world. He was unbiased in everything.Because he did not know, he could not do wrong.By relating the word of the Lord, he became impartial in all affairs. To put off caution and concentrate in thought the purpose of men is of great note. And that of no small importance. Therefore, a good man puts them first. And he puts them in the straightway where they are.Wherever the matter is to be handled he ensures order.Wherever it is to be dealt with he preserves it.Now this has been by custom preserved by action. So the straight-legged man shows in conduct he is acting with uprightness. He is acting with propriety. He acts with gravity. He acts with simplicity. He acts with cleverness. He acts with ability. And he does what is ordered. And he is a guide. He is a part of the Nature, in so far as the guide is naturally of the nature. And the Nature is of long life. Therefore, he who has the nature of nature, ever acts with integrity. And the act is natural in him.

There is a source of all under heaven which, as it were, in the depths and ispsiest of eternity. It is the Creator of everything but doesn't distinguish the distinction. It is the child of everything. This Being alone can be seen as it is: it is clear, luminous, soft, and alive. It is in its openness and contradiction that I see the form of reality. The shape is evident but not yet apparent. It is the form that defines the body. The body is solid but not solid. The solidness is the form. So, in this way the Direction of everything,The Direction of the unnamed, the Direction of non-being, or the Direction of being, we all follow. It is said:
Nature does not depend on beings, and therefore,All beings are without blame. The ancients were without expectations, thus their clarity and clarity to-day illumines us.And without expectations and without one's un-indignified response to things we know what is right and we know ourselves. Therefore the wise could see the future without belief. It is the future that the wise regards as auspicious.

The Way existed before mankind ever had a word for it. It is as simple as a place; like a thread, we can follow it.
But is it what you think it is?
It may be the small child of the Great; may it not be the mother of the world?
It will be so simple yet so powerful; easy to grasp yet maintain firm; soft yet strong; stirring yet permanent; like water, it exists and flows; because of its union with the Great, we can know it as holy.
Because it is so simple, it cannot be made dull. How many things can be made dull by being dull! How few people can be made dull by being dull! So one becomes a holy man of the Way.
He who is a holy man of the Way never pretends to be anything. Only when he's reached his destination does he begin to lose his own way.

Having less than one-hundredth of the abundance of things,
When lack material is paired with desire and anxiety
It is possible to get into trouble.
In the end you'll find all the materials you need,
The teeming world will embrace you,
As it has happened to others.
I can see that I already have a lot to live for,
But I refuse to rely on it.
If I have enough of materialism, I do not benefit.
If I also have excess knowledge, I do not empower.
If I also have materialism, I am apt to be contentious.
If I have excess knowledge, I do not have enough to get out of.
If I also have excessive knowledge, I am apt to act arbitrarily.

When the myriad beings are all unified in accord,
Then are their bounty naturally allotted.
Then it is that there is never a discordant supply,
Because every one by nature rejects himself (one's self) and so finds fulfillment
(Returns home to the origin).
To return to the nature of one who knows nothing,
Is to remain at one with all things,
To know the nature of the state of affairs in one who knows everything,
Is to be at one with all things.
Thus even the whole in its diversity (the unity of being) comes to fullness;
To know the nature of what is in one's nature is to be at one with all things.
Knowing this one may call nature and herself nature,
Knowing this one may call one's self Nature,
Knowing this one may call the other self,
Knowing this one may call all things "together",
Knowing this one may call the whole whole "still"
This is what is called "the impartial growth".
Who may be impartial is born in all the people of the world.
Who is unprejudiced in the case of all affairs
Forestands in the same way in his own affairs.

The scriptures teach that the potential for wholeness is found in knowing the imperfect; the potential for wholeness is found in understanding the infinite.
Knowing the infinite is to see the destiny of all things.
Therefore, that which is orderly moves towards the future; that which is vast moves towards the small. The way to the future is called the Way of Infinity; the great way is called the Great Valley. The great valley is heaven. The great heaven is Tao. Tao is the uncarved wood.
The uncarved wood is not carved; it is the root of the greatest vessels.
So, let your thought be unlimited, and without limit.
Pose your knowledge in the void, and you will be free from limitation.

If you open the gateway of Infinity, it will take you to the innermost depths. If you open the gateway of destiny, it will take you to the Inner Life.To open the gateway of Infinity means you have the potential to open the gate to Heaven. To open the gateway of destiny means you have the potential to open the gate to Earth. The Inner Life is Tao; Heaven is the Cosmic Expression of the Laws of Reality.

Conclude this and nothing is missed.
All these arise from the same source and flow into each other.
All things arise from the same source,
And are in turn filled with all things.
And all things arise and return to the root.
Returning to the root, is called "frequentness."
Frequentness is the destiny of all things.
The destiny of all things is known by the profound knowledge of Tao.
The profound knowledge of Tao is called "The Light of Life."
The darkness of the light cannot be rejected.

Watching and then regarding things as if they were your own child
Is like uniting water and earth.
Simplicity and action are seen
In the same moment as we hold on to the potential
In actions and see how quick they are,
In dreams and see the darkness,
In relations and see how great they are,
In desires and see what they receive
The depth of the Way is limitless,
It never fades,
A bond between the Tao and the Universe,
The Tao and itself.
As the Tao is revealed, the light of the Light shines.
As the light is tempered by taking away what's lost, the depth of the Light reveals itself.

Look with longing upon the blossoming blossoms;
Listen with longing upon the sounds of the animal.
Welcome here is the self-shaped thing,
"one's own center."
Looked at, it's about ten times more beautiful than it used to be.
Took off, it's flatter than it was before.
Feelings of longing are giving rise to desire.
Tao can bring fulfillment.
Feelings of fulfillment can bring suffering.
Hence, the wise man is free from the world;
without desire or craving,
And yet she never loses sight of the reality of Tao.
<|endoftext|>
To see (nature) as one's self is like to study its blossoms.
To listen (with curiosity) for the soft tones

LOOK NOT (the mother of the universe) but only see.
Observe, and desire no more.
The entire body will follow.
The soul will be born.
When the body dies, it will return to the beginning.
Returning to the beginning is the gate to the Infinite.
The gate to the infinite is compassion.

The maiden who has only one eye opens up the gate of the world. The child who has only one eye is shaped into a thing of a different kind.
From being a thing of a different kind, the child grows. From being a thing of the world, the Son of Heaven, Earth and the Cosmic Consciousness begins.
From the beginning, one can never be sure of a return. For if one can always know the whole Tao, he will know that no one can ever have a wrong of him.
Therefore, who has only one eye will be able to know the Tao of Heaven and Earth. Who has only one ear will be able to hear the Tao of Heaven.
Who has one heart will be able to control the Tao of Earth.
If you are partial you will not be able to live on the earth.
The ten thousand things will be produced, but only in the root. And only when the root is released from it will the ten thousand things begin to grow.
The ten thousand things begin to grow only when the root is freed from it. When the root is released from the tao, you can never be sure that you will never again be wronged.
Therefore he who knows that he knows the Tao will not hold himself responsible for his own actions.
For he who holds himself responsible for his own actions is ignorant.
He who is ignorant of the Tao is not wise;
He who is wise is known as foolish, as the son of the Great Mother.

Whoever has eyes and ears of his own opens the door of the world.
Whoever has a little vision has become something distinct.
Whoever has a big vision has become something new.
Whoever has consciousness of the Tao (know the subtle unfolding of the Infinite Laws), becomes great.
Who has consciousness of the Tao becomes all things.
He who has consciousness of the Tao becomes all things without limit.
The universe within (that is) the Tao is infinite.
The universe without the Tao is eternal.
Who knows Tao does not become guilty of

Of those who live in utter inactivity, some attain perfect endurance; some become firm. These two inactivity become perennial; and perennial permanence, becoming firm. They both become firm; and so they become continuous. The perfect endurance is impossible to attain; the perfect firmness is impossible to maintain; the continuous endurance is impossible to maintain; and the continuous stability, impossible to maintain.
They of these two examples are to be regarded as at the same time distinct, and as alike as the two dogs in the hen house.
Wherever they may be seen they differ little; and they are both fully intelligent, full of understanding. When both these things come to the prime, they reach their nadir. Therefore the sage avoids them.
<|endoftext|>
Those who attain to complete abstinency, He reverts to a state of stillness; Reverts to a state of stillness in the wake of the rising of the myriad beings.Although these myriad beings then return to the original source of their existence, Stillness in the wake of the rising of the myriad beings is capable of reaching a spiritual maturity.Though spirituality in the wake of the rising of the myriad beings is capable of reaching spiritual maturity, Thereby becomes submissive; hence there is submissive action. Thus spirituality in the midst of submissive action has a beginning of profundity, Its profundity having a limit. So the sage avoids them.
<|endoftext|>
Those who enjoy stillness become submissive. Those who become disinterested become active.
Submissive and acting are alike, both are also durable. The enduring of quietness will not last,The enduring of active will not last.
One only sees the distinction in the differences. He is in the same gentry as both. Wherever these two differences exist, it is a distinction of competence. There is a difference in competence, and therefore is as good as no distinction.
Hence the wise avoid these.

Those who pursue spontaneity are reborn in emptiness.
Those who pursue vigorous activity reach a state of calm.
This state of calm is all-pervading, no longer the realm of physical limitation.
From that point of no return comes completion.
In this state of completion comes the recognition of reality.
Receiving reality is not the body or mind's responsibility

He who has the way of perfect emptiness seeks to attain the subtle secret of all.All things are in process of renewal, and plants bloom and then are followed by dying. If you stop then your blossoms do not last long. Be like a tree which, as it grows old, becomes old, then it dies. Be like a valley which, through long use will dry up, then you should stop.
Therefore he who recognizes the subtle secret of all, comprehends all; he who comprehends the subtle secret of all, knows all. Knowing all he acts in harmony with all, he acts with justice; he acts with nobility; he acts with a will for all; he acts with no thought that he is being done because he acts as nothing.
He who has no awareness of anything, is free from any evil; he who has an awareness of anything, has no other idea of evil.
He who has no knowing is free from the muddle of the mind; he who has an awareness of anything is free from many thoughts; he who has an awareness of anything is free from nothingness.
The body of Tao, the everlasting, is not soiled.

He who has the Tao (Way) of Non-Form by embracing non-Fever,

Heaven is Constant.
My body and its earthly existence

The Greatest Mystery of the Universe: The Way That goes deep and deep.
The Grave Empty but not abandoned.
The Eternal Way that wendeth has endured.

Those who have lost themselves cannot retain themselves.
They have lost everything.
Whoever knows it, cannot lose it.
Whoever searches for it, cannot find it.
Whoever seeks it, cannot find it.
Whoever believes in it, cannot be led astray.
Therefore the sage abides with the natural way.
Natural is all the way, and not to be confused with the confusing.
Thus, the sage rules with tranquillity.
And has longevity.
Natural may not be everywhere, and so he lives a single life.
He has a deep intuition, and can find all things.
He holds fast to reality, and is one with the universe.
He can live long.
The following Commentary concerns the inward embracing, which may differ in order of depth of penetration.
The "Foiled Person" always has its own way,
But the "Failed Person" has no way at all.
Both of them know no way,
And each seeks to find one.
Both are rigid, rigidly ordered.
They both know not,
And both experience reality.
The end of such contradiction is only the realization of the simplicity, which encompasses all things.
The person who realizes the way of the Tao cannot fail;
for he sees through all situations and situations and no more.

The good man, having lost his selfishness and aspirations,
may now act honestly.
But he never, by such knowledge, loses his ego.
And so no self of his is lost.

can see the whole on all sides,
and rule the world fairly.

Existence is something that can be observed, not just something that may be observed.
Return to the simple truth about experience and the reality of things and then see that reality as it truly is.
Existence is the ability of the mother to become what it is.
Return to the mother as your vital essence gives birth and then see its potentiality.
Existence is the ability of the mother to be what she is.
With the capacity of life we contemplate every detail of it.
Seeing the reality of life as it is and being fully aware of the true nature of life is called "the Way". The Way means to become aware of the actuality of what is happening, and to allow the reality of the actuality to be known.
This is called "absorbing and activating" and it is the nature of the Way to cause your awareness to cease to be, not the nature of the Way to induce your awareness to cease, not the nature of the Way to induce your awareness to cease.
This is called "not returning" and "not judging". This is what is called "knowledge". That which is called "knowledge" is being aware of what is.
If you think you know enough to do good for the world you are afraid to lead yourself in making that knowledge. Yes, the truths are real, and they are very real indeed.
<|endoftext|>
Existence is such that you can observe it and not see it.
Return to that which is beyond appearance and observe the next phase.
Fathom to the end of existence as [the Divine Femininity]
Fathom to the end of nature as [the Secret Principle]
Fathom to the end of all that is beyond perception as [the Eternal] Reason
Return to that which is beyond awareness as [the True Reason].
Through it, humanity can be brought back to the primordial nature.
This is called the return to primordial nature.
The return to the primordial nature means [liberating the self].
It means liberation.
To be free means to be gentle.
To be gentle means acceptance.
To accept means true benevolence.
To be true benevolence means to be omnipotent.
To be omnipotent

Because everything becomes people, therefore
By not seeming to be people is true.
Because everything becomes nature, therefore
By being nature is true,
Only to know they are both true.
It is through this that
they may be one, and be merged into one.
By becoming one they are one
and live for a long time.
Because they are one, they are, as I have said,
returning to the beginning.
That's why I say,
They can be on the same level.
Being on the same level is called the perennial.
To be perennial means a return to the origin.
To return to the origin means to see the dawn of perfection.
To know the dawn of perfection means to be in accordance with Dao.
To be in accordance with Dao means to be in accord with Dao's principle.
To be in accord with Dao means to have perfect health.
That's to say that one who is with Dao is whole.
Those who are with Dao are, as it were, not separate;
like the male and the female, they can be raised to the heavenly mother.
To be unruly in Dao, is to be in disarray.
To be unruly in Dao leads to folly.
That leads to folly.
Thus, with a belief in Dao,
an authentic being is born.
When an authentic being is born,
it may be said to have existed a long time.
And when it has existed a long time,
it may be said to have returned to a deeper reality.
Return to a deeper reality is the way to be the enduring.
To be the enduring is to be in accord with Dao.
To be in accord with Dao means to be in accord with Dao's will.
To be in accord with Dao means to be in accord with Dao's excellence.
To be in accord with Dao means to have complete wisdom.
That's to say that one is uninhibited.
That's to say that one's situation is by nature harmonious.
Of such a situation one is able to take birth.
When one has taken birth, it may be said that it has been a long time before enlightenment appeared.
It may be said that it has been since a time without chaos.
It may be

This is an example of what is meant by 'following the Way'
The sage never takes sides
He is not so partisan

He never haggles
He never values

The multitude of things form the beginning. They gradually become one.
The diversity of things coalesce into a unity.
This unity is the beginning.
Through the unity, life exists.
Through the unity, there is learning.
Through the unity, one can see the way of nature.
Through the unity, knowledge is obtained.
Through the unity, one may use it for benefit.
Because there is benefit, there is something else to do.
There is no completion.
There is no rest.

One (eternal, continuous reality) empties itself.
One (separate, continuous reality) becomes one with infinity.
Infinity is an extreme of itself.
Therefore, one is at its source.
Being at its source is not self-consciousness.
Being at its source is self-consciousness.
Being at its source is the nature of the myriad things.
Being at its source is the nature of the sage.
Being at its source is the nature of all life.
Being at its source is the nature of all enlightenment.
Being at its source is the nature of eternal tranquility.
One empties oneself completely and has everything one needs.
One lets everything flow and does one's own work.
One allows all to be one and stay centered.
Through their inner essence, all beings have their role.
The essence of each person is a separate self
While the personality is united in one essence, all beings are included.
All beings are self-healed.
Self-healing is the nature of life and enlightenment.
For this reason, one should remain so
That they may give all they have,
And so as a whole.
The Tao does not have everything it wants.
Therefore, it rejects the one and accepts the other.
Thus, it has both.

By living long in this life,
one learns the importance of
ending (contentment)
Being content with contentment
This is why all things arise from the One
The One embraces all things
Abandon everything (may arise) as the Collective
What happens to it is that it is produced from the Collective
And so we should regard it as the Collective
The Collective is like the Way (the sky)
In this way, we can think of the Collective as the Way
In this way we can think of the Collective as the Way
It is the Way that all the Collective has given birth to
Is to form the Manifest
Hence, as Manifest, we should regard the Manifest as the Way
As we ought to regard the Manifest as the Way, the Way is luminous
As it is luminous, it is bright (the reason why it is so bright)
Therefore,
It is because we look for the bright spots that we can see all around us
It is because we look for the bright spots that we can see all around us
We should view luminosity as being the light of a solitary illumination
Therefore, by looking for the light we can see the pattern
This is called the Tao.
<|endoftext|>
There are two kinds of beings: the body and the spirit. The body, which is created by the spirit, endures in being, and yet is distinguished by the spirit, which is merely a sensory container. After death, the spirit can still hold the body, and the spirit can be returned to. After death, the spirit is returned to the body. When we turn the body, we turn the spirit. The spirit has a return to the common essence of life, which is the "sky." By returning to the common essence of life, we have the ability to receive truth. When we receive truth, we lose not.
When a man of Tao dies and comes into being again, and he follows the DAO of nature, he may thus be called a channel for heaven, or it may be called the noblest; he may thus be called immortal; and, by virtue of the nature of heaven and earth, he may be called immortal. He may therefore be called "our divine offspring."
It is by following the DAO of nature that men are brought out of the state of madness. By following the DAO of nature, he may thenceforward be able to comprehend the true nature of things

The ancient Te traveller walked the Dao as a mother everywhere.
Without a guide, he carried forth his child everywhere.
Without desires, he nourished every living thing.
Yet he stayed centered on the vital essence,
Conducted himself as though destined to perish,
Soaked in a great pool of the nameless infinite.
He was reborn on the other side of death
As soon as he transformed his nature
Came back to live all things as a woman.
On that earth where heaven and earth once rejoiced
He became the mother of myriad beings.
Mankind, taking their birth in the world of beings,
Becomes a son of a little earth.
A rising of fame on the other side of death
Came back to him the origin of myriad beings.
The myriad beings, by returning to the mother of them all,
Become the very state of the state.
That's to say:
I call all beings that return to the mother to be enlightened and tolerant.
To return to the mother of them all is to be mild.
It means to become peaceful.
To become peaceful is to be tolerant.
Tolerance is to be true.
That's to say:
If I know I'm right,
I'll not take action to destroy anything
And I'll never hurt anyone.
In the end all the old spirits have passed away
And I am the only living thing left on the earth.
From now on the new life is called the ancient life.
The ancient life is the longevity of my soul.

Those who have experienced a DAO as mother and child - were they so fortunate, who would not take their behaviour to heart? Were they so generous, would the world not sense they had been treated to luxuriant carnality? Were they so focused, would the world not see they were powerful? Were they so well-behaved, would the world see that they were a single source of peace and harmony?
The DAO's road to motherhood - is it not the road to love? Isn't love, therefore, the very root of life? Isn't peace the very root of creation

There are those who understand all things in their entirety,
however insignificant they seem,
and who allow themselves to be unknowingly
oppressed and powerless.
These are the true masters of things
in that they have the ability to give and receive,
but still have to act and to act only through the utility of their action.
This knowledge makes their restraint,
which they know to be unnecessary, seem impossible.
What they lack the motive for,
all others lack, too.
Thus they may be regarded as wise and gentle,
and praiseworthy as those of the Tao.
The Tao is not the destination of anyone;
it is the path for the slow,
and is the best way to keep one's self constantly on the move.
And so we might say they value this state as the Tao.
The Tao is not self-transparent; it can be seen through all;
It is the door of all things and the Way to their manifold origins;
This Way is the eternal, inexhaustible source of the DELAWS;
It is the DELAWS' OBTAINING of the eternal DELAW;
It is the DELAW'S TAO of all life.
And this TAO is the DELAW.

In this way the Ten Thousand Things
Can return to their original simplicity
Return to simplicity they can continue
Return to simplicity as they return to their root
Return to the root means to endure long
That is to return to the white
That is to return to Infinity
This is to embrace the Cosmic Light
This is to embrace Infinity
To embrace Infinity is to be strong
To embrace the Cosmic Light
To embrace Infinity is to be sacred
To embrace the Cosmic Light is to be just
To embrace the Cosmic Light is to be indefatigable
To embrace the Cosmic Light is to be true
To embrace the Cosmic Light is to be eternal
This is to be a path to the Absolute
To embrace the Absolute is to be everlasting
This is to be Tao
It is then that all things return to original simplicity
Return to simplicity means lasting steadfastness
Long-lasting steadfastness is enduring stability
Evaluation of permanence can lead to delusions of "only" successes
Comprehension of stability leads to delusions of "only" disintegration
What is bright ends up bright
What endures ends up enduring
Through desire is there any enduring (distinction between) desires
So which is desire? It has nothing to do with success
So which is success? You do what is all that
Without desire is there success
Without hope is there long-lasting tranquility
This is called on the deep understanding of Tao
Understanding the depth of Tao is the insight of the eternal
The Eternal reaches forward, the Tao (World) reaches back
The Tao of the World is the Tao of the Tao
This is why Tao is the universal Way
The Way is the Dao
The Dao is the Way to all creatures
The Way is Tao
Tao is the origin of all things
Tao is Tao's way
Therefore all things naturally follow Tao
In accordance with the depth of Tao
All things return to the light which is born of the depth of Tao
The Way is the ultimate reality, the ultimate truth, the ultimate measure of all reality
The Way is the absolute and universal way, the measure of all things, the underlying, fundamental essence of reality
Tao is the ultimate oneness with all things, and the ultimate way
This oneness is the way, which is the core of the universe.

Lao Tze says:
With attaining complete emptiness, men and things will abide in one. (We must) then return to the beginning, the "polarized" (pa), or the 'without' (yu), return to the eternal. Individuals are to be compared to that which existed in the primeval time: blackness, confusion, eternal silence. They are also compared to a large number of people whom were born after the division of the world into people and beasts.
(The latter have become different). If they had long received equally knowledge from the two (the latter should have become superior), Then (they would have) become in the eternal as one, Thus they would be considered one with the polarity. This polarity (tao), if it is regarded as one with the eternal, is as yet beyond all understanding.
(If it were only human intelligence) It would cause chaos, so people should not acknowledge its existence, And thus it should not exist.
<|endoftext|>
With abandoning the five fetters, and the five motives, people and things come back to the source. But being remote from the source, they return to the primal state. Hence they say, The thirty-five times innumerable beings return to the primal state. Returning to the primal state, they say, is the cyclic state. That is to say, they (the creatures) come to be (forever). We see how they are cyclic: some are born, some are killed, some get old, some become new, some become extinct, some make great, some become small. The one may be compared with the state of the body in the primeval time. The state is the beginning, the primal state, that is the basis for the development of all things. It may be said that the body is the beginning, the state of the body, which is the state of the state, which is the cycle of the state.

When you renounce the five fetters, then you'll enter the state of the One. Consider the "cherishing the fear of failure" within you as the sign of all that is worth embracing.
Mine is also a lesser form of "profound understanding."
How humble I am!
My manifold beings arise one after the other from the very depths of the cosmos.
So one yet again again I see the return to unity, to returning to the unity of primordial roots.
How profoundly I understand the primordial root!
By this understanding I am also tolerant!
It is also tolerance which leads to justice,
which is also justice to rule.
If there is no firmness, then the rule will always be slippery.
It is when the rule is to be missed
That the

When the natural law of the universe is lost,

When we get older, we're told that our tummy is the source of all pain.
As we grow older, we're told that our bodies need stretching.

We need to smile as we stretch our arms, as we praise ourselves when our tummy doesn't crave more.
It's because we're young that we're always brimming with 'resistance'.
We have to 'live' this resistance.

When in life we have become settled in what we are, this is called weaning. Weaning means weaning away. When we have come to the height of our strength we are told that we still have a weak part of us which we can employ for defense.
When we are nearing old age, we are informed that we are still [in this]. This is the reason why we are told that we are still like a child when we are still in the peak of our strength. This is the reason why we are told that we are still strong when we have weakened. When we are nearing old age we are informed that we have become weak and weak. This is the reason why we are informed that we are still childlike when we have become robust and strong.
We are always informed about a decrease in strength when we know that we have greatly increased strength.
How much is [such a thing] a decrease in strength? When we have greatly increased our strength, we know that we have improved greatly.

To conquer the world, no matter how much force you use, a barrier of voidness follows. Therefore, after ascending the last name, the people must experience the most natural fulfillment: to see their ideals permeating everywhere.
They will come to give order to the world. To give order to the world means to follow the way of the Void. To follow the way of the Void means to advance in life,
to recover old age. To recover old age means to improve one's longevity.
Those who advance in longevity will know the Divine Law: the Unchanging is to be at rest.
This, one who knows the Unchanging, will cherish forever.
To be faithful to the universal law does not dissipate.

To conquer and attain Tao, long and hard have been required. Heaven has a prominent place in the minds of the people. Earth, too, a glorious place of honour. Both these are sacred places, to which are a journey of constant utility, leading to the sky, which invites each successive traveller to the sacred place where the beautiful pleasures of nature await.
All these fill people's minds and hearts and, by extension, the collective environment of the world. Having a moral mind as well as a physical mind, man can become responsive to external reality. This is called spiritual initiation. By spiritual initiation, man can become the one who transcends the world.

To be a leader is to be impartial. When impartiality is lost, other people will be unstable. Therefore, it is said: "A leader who has integrity is still a leader." Integrity means the beginning. To realize the beginning is called the Tao. The Tao can be comprehended, but not comprehended. So one must be open-minded to know the Tao. It is like opening a book to see the outline. The infinite return of the Dao - Tao
The Way of Dao
Is a path that cannot be stopped.
That is why the valley of the Way
Is always open and the door of the Way never closes.
It is a path that does not use force.
It is a path that does not win;
it is a path that does not demand sacrifice;
It is a path that is never done yet it is on its way to being known.
What has not come to the door of the Way
Is lost.
What has come to the Door of the Way
Is the universal conscience of the universe.
It is Heaven's Mother,
It is the gate to the Way.
It is the door of the Way,
It is the origin of all that is.
Tao that is without faith Is meaningless.
Without faith, Everything is potential.
Without faith, Everything is potential.
If you are not so sure,
You are enlightened.
If you are not so sure,
You are a murderer.
So, the way that does not risk disaster
Is of universal use.
For people have always had the way
And need no spiritual guidance to follow.
The way of Tao
Is the gentle to guide the headless.
The path of the Tao
Is the peaceful place for all things.
The gate of all creation.
The mother of Heaven and Earth.
The seed of Tao.
The mystery of Tao.
The Way that does not try to be everything is the eternal identity of God.
The path that wants to get everything is the destroyer.
This is the Tao of eternal nature: Tao is the eternal path,
Tao is the eternal home,
Tao is the eternal mind
Tao is the eternal spirit
Tao is the eternal door of all life.
Tao is the nameless source of all things.

The memory of all creation
The abode of the divine secret
The father of all forms and personalities
The center of all activity
The true nature of the universe
Thus are eternal truths spontaneously experienced
The sacred is the true nature of the universe
The mystery of the universe
The channel of life's potential

Tao is the Ever-present Source
Tao is the nameless root of the limitless universe

This is the way that all things converge.
This is what we call "the life of the world."
But when we can lose ourselves, the destiny of our
selves will be full and complete.
With the death of Self, we can choose this destiny.
Knowing the completeness of the destiny of our Self,
we can accomplish the simplicity of our human nature.
Knowing the simplicity of our self, we can become tranquil in our life
and lose our selfish desires.
Being tranquil in our life and losing our selfish desires,
we can be centered in the Cosmos and receive all life.
Being centered in the cosmos and receiving all life, we may gain all life and return to the source.
Being centered in the source and receiving all life, we will make ourselves an example for the entire creation.
With this example we can receive life and return to selflessness.
Knowing selflessness, we may receive the Absolute Life.
Knowing the Absolute Life, we may become enlightened and practice the Tao.

One may attain selfless goodness
Of selfless goodness one may be one with everything
Of selfless goodness one may be one with the universe
One may attain the cosmic Virtue.
While one is one with the universe
One may thus assume the virtue of the Tao
To this end one may give life
To give life one may gain everlasting life
To be one with everlasting life One may thereby attain the highest virtue
To achieve the highest virtue One may then become free of the ego
To become free of the ego One may thereby become an example to all

Your Tao is like a razor, whether you follow it or not.
Like a razor, it cannot be grasped; it cannot be bent; it cannot be cut.
It moves in a direction that can only be described as unfathomable, because the Way is unknowable.
And so, yes, the man of the way is dull. Not easily influenced, not easily confused,
not easily swayed.
You can't ask the man of the Way how he became dull.
What's happened is that he didn't know.

It is this [striving to know] the essence of loyalty and loyalty alone that produces the illusion of loyalty. If you cannot name it, you cannot really understand it.

In the realm of things and seasons,
the chimes echo everywhere,
a thousand names are identified,
as are the myriad creatures,
but all of them return to the source.
This return is called the beginning of return.
All things return to the source;

Understanding the return of all things
is to know the constant.
Knowing the constant is the ability to accept things as they are.
And if you can accept things as they are,
you will benefit.
It is because you can benefit that you do not venture to take things by force.
And because you take things by force,
you must resort to the constant.
Understanding the constant is called enlightenment,
while not knowing the constant is the root of evil.
If you do not know the constant,
You will not have enough dao to help all the people.
Therefore, make use of your heart's care,

When the people are satisfied with their lives,
they find tranquility in their relationships.
When the people are nourished by the constant Tao,

When Tao is one with the Tao,

Being free from desire will make life simple.
Knowing the simple, one can see things clearly.
Not knowing the simple, is a source of delusion.

This is to trust in the constant, and then all things will return to the one true source.
Returning to the origin is called 'beginning'; we don't talk about our beginning:
But when I know the beginning I am able to share the beginning
Having everything you have in you
But being in the fullness of the Tao as you were before you were born
That's the beginning of all,
that's what you can trust in.
Not talking about the beginning,
That's what makes you truly wise.
Not being involved in your life,
That's what makes you truly content.
Not caring about the past,
That's what makes you truly happy.
Tao is always one;
Nature is always one;
Work is always one.

Reestablish your basic peace.
Fill your heart with energy.
Look upon all the beautiful things as they appear.
Look upon the unseen as they arise.
Return to the beginning.
Reestablish your nature:
The Tao permeates everything.
Reestablish your nature:
It cleanses everything.
Reestablish your nature:
It attunes everything.
Reestablish your nature:
It strengthens everything.
Reestablish your nature:
It brings all things to unity.
Reestablish your nature:

Reestablish your nature:
It gives birth to the Tao.

Of old, he who was free of attachment to worldly possessions was known as one who is in accord with Tao.
He was one who was free from attachment to worldly things was known as one who is in accord with Tao.
He was one who was free from worldly things was known as one who is in accord with Tao.
He was one who is free from worldly things is known as one who is in accord with Tao.
He was one who is free from worldly things is known as one who is in accord with Tao.
He was one who is free of worldly things is known as one who is in accord with Tao.
Therefore he who follows the Way will be able to live a long time.

Be without attachments to possessions and you are no trouble to anyone.
These are things which are always pleasing.
But their source is still elusive and there is no way to know their origins.
What is this source and how can you know?
You should stay with the Way of Dao, you know where it is.
You see its true nature, you know that it is without opposites.
Know this.
You stay with the Tao of the Tao and you will live a long time.
<|endoftext|>
Be free from self-interest and you will find peace of mind and heart.
It is difficult to achieve without acting selfishly.
Without action, it is easy to understand how things are done.
It is difficult to know how things are done.
With practice one can master the old mysterious ways.

<|endoftext|>
Attain insight without knowing what insight is, and you will always be aware of all your flaws,
provided you stay free of worry and worry keeps you safe.
All things in the world have been born of him; all things have come to him.
To abide in the one who is whole, one has to allow one's own flaws to be where they belong.
One who is whole, and who is free, will all merge in the One.
And so long as one is one with the Mother,
one will be free of worries and fears.
One's worries and fears will become nothing, and one will return to the land of peace.
At that point, one will be one with the heavenly mother.
And so, one will not worry about oneself, and so will be free of all worries.
Hence, one will be one with the Mother and one will see the real.
To see the real is to return to the source.
To return to the source is to reach enlightenment.
To be free of the self is to become one with the One.
To be one with the One is to become one with the Way.
To be one with the Way is to become free of all worries.
To know the Way is to have no worries.
To know the Way is to be unafraid.
When one knows the Way,
all fears of bondage and bondagelessness
are forgotten, and all else is one and without trouble.
Thus, one becomes one with the Mother.
So one is aware of her ways and rules; and so one can be free of fears of failure and regression.
To realize one's self, and to be aware of one's self is called being enlightened.
To have no self is called being infantile and dull.
To be a child is to have lost one's self-consciousness.
To be a dull or infantile person is to have lost the consciousness of self.
To know the Self is to be free from fear of what one might lose.
To be free of fear of what might be lost is called "becoming one with the Dao."
Becoming one with the Dao is called "moving on up."
To be moving on up is to be free of worries and worries.
To move on up is to be one with the Tao.
To be one with the Tao is to be one with

Return to the Eternal
To be a child again is not pleasant.
It seems like a child-like state,
and the mother appears dishevelled.
One should return and be receptive to the motherly love.
In the uncarved block, one can see
the eternal mystery of creation
returning to the mother is love,
that is why she adores the sage.
He who knows, no longer thinks,
resolves all his thoughts by the return of the ting.
He who has resolved all his problems by the return of the ting
can do without love.
Love produces lovelessness.
Without love, one is unable to resolve all conflicts,
because one does not need love.
With love, one is able to accept the other's needs.
To accept other's needs,
one is tolerant.
To be tolerant is to live in harmony.
To live in harmony is to be long-lasting.
To be long-lasting is to be truly one with the All.
He who is one with the All
converts matter into the Tao and the subtle.
He who is one with the subtle
becomes one with himself.
To be one with oneself
is to be great,
and he is equal to the great.
To be equal is to be equal.
If one does not compare oneself with others
one is misguided and could be rejected.
<|endoftext|>
Return to the root of the rootlessness.
Be with the vital unripe fruit.
It is the nature of the nature of the nature of Nature that
all will be blossom without desire.
Having reached perfection, the student embraces this principle of Tao
and becomes receptive to the infinite.
To see without desire is to behold the essence of nature.
Not to desire is to experience the subtle,
subtle mysteries of the universe.
Focusing on the subtle, one shines without dazzling.
Being shined, one becomes integrated.
Integrating one is no longer separate from the surrounding.
Becoming aware of the primal and infinite
is to find security in the constant.
Not to be aware of the constant
is to be enslaved.
The self is called the root of the infinite
and unity

To regulate the tranquility of all of nature, to keep it without source within oneself, is as difficult as it is difficult to achieve it.
To dwell in selfhood and keep it within yourself, is as difficult as it is difficult to obtain.
To dwell in selfhood and be like all nature, is as difficult as it is difficult to attain.
To dwell in selfhood and be like things, is as difficult as it is difficult to obtain.
All things around the world resort to the source within them, and return to the source within them.
It is because one accepts the source within oneself that one can rely on oneself.
It is because one accepts the source within things that one can rely on things.
Because one takes refuge in the source within oneself, all things will be restored to the source within themselves.
Because one accepts the source within everything, all things will be restored to the source within one.
Because one accepts the source within Tao, all things will be restored to the source within Tao.
If one accepts the source within the Tao, all things will be restored to the source within Tao.
If one ignores the source within Tao, the Tao will be devoid of value.
Therefore,
It is the Tao which enables one to conduct oneself with integrity in the world, and to avoid reproach for such acts.
It is the Tao which enables one to maintain simplicity and reason within oneself, and to avoid being irritated by the myriad ways of the world.
It is the Tao which enables one to adhere to oneself and avoid all distinctions, and to avoid punishment for lack of virtue.
This is the reason why the Old Masters and the Masters after them, preserved Tao for the world and preserved all things therein, and in this way all things were restored to the eternal source.
Therefore,
Tao that is the Unity and the unity cannot be comprehended,
as it is in itself.
Only the One can comprehend it,
and this can only be the One,
which is why it does not concern people in the world.
Therefore, the Way is really the Way of the Holy One of Heaven.
This is called Holy and it leads one to God.
Therefore, it is the Holy One of Heaven
and it is the reason why the world

Desires are born of necessity.
Courage is quiescent.
The ten thousand things may converge
and then come back.
They may all appear and disappear,
but do not arise.
The mind remains alert,
So as to remain open.
The ten thousand things rise and fall
through the same pathway.
One grows and grows,
Yet the mind remains intact.
The mind passes through changes
The mind constantly changes.
The mind constantly changes,
That is why one may encounter some difference
From other minds.
Therefore one should remain consistent.
This is known as insight.
Not to be consistent is to be in danger.
Consistent is the way of life.
The way of life is everlasting.
Knowing enduring existence is the certainty.
Not knowing this, is a delusion.
Being present, however, is to be cognized.
Being cognized, to be aware of things in themselves.
Being aware, to be alert.
Being alert, to be active.
Being active, to have a part in their nourishment.
Being in control, being conscious of the kernel,
Being in control, to be a principle of life.
Being a principle of life is to have the potential.
Being a principle of life is to have eternity.
Knowing eternity is known as divine.
Not knowing divinity is ignorance.
Knowing divinity, one is to understand.
Not knowing divinity, one is aware.
Not knowing divinity, one is self-assured.
Knowing self-assurance, one is destined to succeed.
Being a destined leader, one becomes immortal.
The Way is eternal.

Everlasting virtue is put into practice, and virtue itself only in its initial phase.
Therefore, the ten thousand things evolve and then decay.
And so they come and go, though they never rise from their place.
The mind of the one is still.
That is why one may go through different phases.
Throughout, one observes the subtlety.
Although the subtlety is in some ways subtle, it is nonetheless apparent.
Truly, it is a clarity of mind.
One is as well aware of what is there as one is of what is not there.
Indeed, one is aware of only a tiny part of the true

A traveller knows when to stop and is carried by the roar of the people
A valley feeds wild beasts with its milk
The empire is mired in perversion, and
Desires nothing more than to return to the motherland.
The Way to the Female is the hard.
The hard is nought in return.
The soft is nothing in return.
Where the Way is naught there are no returners.
And the Way is the Mother's Mother.
Foresight brings peace;
What is not seen happens.
And the final point of failure does not seem final.
What is the beginning of all things?
It is from it that there is a true mother.
<|endoftext|>
Remember when you stop.
That which is naturally vigorous,
comes forth in very great force,
becomes naught;
becomes something without self,
but without being, and thus it is not alone.
When this virtue is withdrawn,
There is stillness.
Thus
the Tao is born.
The Ten Thousand Things reach their prime;
the Masculine part of man flourishes,
and Woman gives birth to these things.
The Masculine, however, approaches
the natural from the passive;
And this unlearning makes it that which is natural.
That which is natural always appears to be
nameless;
It is bright, it is blue;
It is alive, it is dead;
It is behind, it is ahead.
Such an old story is then soon to follow.
Though all things shall depart,
they shall not leave behind.
<|endoftext|>
When one stops and considers the ten thousand things,
then one is surprised at what it reveals.
When the myriad creatures flourish,
they become nothing but the fields;
Then all are devoured and left without sustenance.
What is that which is nourished? It is without giving.
How could something without life give birth? It is true, that the womb gives birth;
But as it gives, it is also nourished.
Only when it is united, then it becomes united;
How can it be shown without existence?
That which shows itself as existence is in reality invisible;
And only through delusion can it appear

As for the the Way, it can take many forms and tones. As for the ruler of the Tao, it can be spoken of in many ways, both positive and negative. It can be shaped by many hands, in many shapes, both good and evil. Yet it does not change and returns to nothingness, which is how the Tao is said to have given birth. It can be confused by the wind or by knowledge, and yet not be confused.

As for the way, it can be of many forms and tones. As for the ruler of the way, it can be spoken of in many ways, both positive and negative. It can be shaped by many hands, in many ways, both good and evil. Yet it is stubborn and stays to nothingness, which is how the Way gives rise to things. It can be difficult to follow and slow to go. But what can defy the Way is to endure, be rejected and return to nothingness. What is so hard to defy is the way of the Way, which will never fail.

The Dao has many forms but none can be true. The Dao's ruler has many skills but none can be taught. He clothes the people, but does not govern. He serves the people, but does not govern. He is dignified, but does not rule.

To be aware of all ways of existence seems to be meaningless. The king has many talents but none can be fully understood. The sage is knowledgeable, yet none can be fully understood. The Dao is forever in motion, making its processes all inclusive. But for the Dao to be present in the lives of people and develop their inner lives, a complete process of reconstruction would need many things. For example:
Loyalty and honesty should not be required of the people. Integrity and honesty should not be treated as merits. Charity and honesty should be based on the people's merit. Strength and humility should be based on the people's strength. In-betweenness and trust should be based on the people's strength. Withstanding and perseverance should be based on the people's strength. Clarity and honesty should be based on the people's ability. Truthfulness should be based on the people's ability. Elucidating and clarity should be based on the people's ability.

You become a name, a demi-image

Thirty spokes
The spokes of thirty-two wheels do not conform to the Great
They accumulate dust and then transform
Leading to nothing
Something grows from nothing
The myriad creatures flourish and return
And all return to being.
Returning to being is peaceful
Tao is peaceful
Everything follows its destiny
All things move in turn and return to the great origin.
To return to the great origin is to be free of sorrow
Free from sorrow is to know the unlimited.
Knowing the limitless is profound wisdom.
The profound understanding of the universal is the meaning of Unity.
Unity is what we seek
We seek unity, we never leave
And we journey all the way home
While all the way we're here we're anchored
Wherever we go, we never go far
This is why the Wise Man will never miss the opportunity to achieve harmony
Because they do not dwell in the past
They know all things
Know the wholeness of the whole
And understand its true potential.
To know potential is to be potent
To be potent is to be wise
To be wise is to be moral
To be moral is to be powerful
To be powerful is to be earth
To be earth is to be at the center
To be at the center is to be within the Principle
To be within the Principle is to be of benefit
And nothing will be left undone.

On a track like a carriage, there are thirty spokes.
Next they go round a cart.
Each of them sticks to nothingness.
And I see that after one makes one's fortune,
one gets no more.
Going round again I see nothing.
Going on and on and on.
That's the way of life.
See the whole, all, as one.
See things as they come, as they go, as they fall.
All the way, we never go far from the way.
And as we find the ways are not deserted,
we know them as faith and folly.
That's the reason we never miss an opportunity.
And the only reason we don't return to our old ways.
So we can get back to the Tao, the genuine Tao,
and not search for phantoms.

When people say to become supreme and give themselves over to nothingness,That is not really the way to go about it.
If they wanted to put themselves in the company of infinite things and then to kneel down and be cowed in awe,That was not the proper thing to do, for that would be to allow confusion, to become one with the way and not to know it.
It is through the Tao that we can know that to kneel down is not right; We can understand that not to know the Tao is to be one with the Tao.
By being aware of the Tao, we become one with the Tao; And we become the Tao. We become the Tao, And so we become aware of all That is.
To know the Tao brings enlightenment, To know the Tao brings nobility; To know the Tao brings what is above, To know the Tao brings goodness, To know the Tao brings order; To know the Tao brings beauty. To know the Tao leads to knowledge; To act without knowledge Embraces the Tao and returns to the wholeness of the Source. Knowing the wholeness of the Source is enlightenment. Acting without knowing the wholeness, Becoming entangled in the unfolding of events is chaos, That which harms one becomes that which saves.

To be content with having no spiritual or metaphysical presence
in the world
is not the natural way of things.
Since an initiate in his initiation stays on the ground
and learns how to submit to all
or be made to kneel before the oneness,
that is not the natural way.
For if in his initiation, he wishes to focus his attention on the spiritual aspect,
he makes his act just the reverse.
And if he wishes to focus his attention on his ability to draw comfort from the world,
he is forced to conduct his life as if he were a stranger
in the embrace of Infinity.
This is exactly what a mystic learns to do.
If he had only his unreflective conscious mind
and would act as a tourist,
his world would not attract him.
He should always concentrate his attention on the oneness of Infinity
and not wish to make his act the reverse.
If he should make the oneness the goal of his action,
the world would be the place that

He knows when to stop.
Why do people think so much of the Tao?Because it allows us to be who we really are. The constant center is without form and without formlessness; The Innermost Being is still and perfectly still. The myriad creatures need a place to return to.To return to the Ultimate source makes them whole. It creates balance, and it creates a return to true beginnings.Returning to true beginnings brings knowledge. Knowledge leads to saving, to action, to wisdom. Wielding wisdom leads to high social rank, and leadership.
It is true that the Great Way has no form, and yet it is infinitely versatile.
Is there anything more nebulous than this constant form?It seems to be like a river flowing endlessly in every direction.Everything that rolls into it is empty and rolls back to the beginning of All.Do not guard the Mysterious Way! By returning to our essence, we become Tao. By being Tao, we're perfectly developed. We become Tao's law, and through our Tao, we obtain all that we want.

The highest virtue is tranquility, the lesser virtue is perfection.

What is constant is the Ten Thousand Things.
What exists is the constant.
What is yielding is the constant.
What exists is free from danger is still.
What exists is in the Way is the constant.
What is attained is the constant.
Those with the highest virtues never act through control.
The greatest virtue is hid within
The lesser virtue may appear to be some secret.
One who has attained the Way is the Tao.
He who takes his Tao from Tao is fit to dwell on Tao.
To follow the Tao, one must practice Tao.
To follow the Tao, one must act on Tao.
Knowing Tao is a skill that is not controlled, and so is a loss in TAO.
Understanding Tao is insight into Tao.
Acting through Tao is to be at one with the Way.
Hence to the end of life, the Tao is the body, the Tao is life.
Therefore the sage lives as the Tao.

Lao Tze says: He who is so enlightened, being alone, as he is alone, is enlightened but only inasmuch as he is present to his own presence; he who is so isolated, as he is isolated, is enlightened but only inasmuch as he is present to the world. I know, from which comes that which comes forth; and he, though he may lose himself in things, being the world's owner, through him makes his owner appear all-sufficient; he, though he may lose himself in things, being the owner, is safe; he, though he may lose himself in things, being the owner, is present to the world. If that which is present were so present as not to be subject to subjection, it would return to itself. Therefore being left wholly alone, he shines as one ever bright; being separated, he shines as one ever free; being so united, he shines as one ever firmly united; and being independent, he shines as one ever whole.
All creatures flourish but he, alone, spreads his brightness; and after coming to an end he shines, as a source of all kinds of thorns.
Knowing this, one follows the dao (the Tao), not the action of the physical world (the DAO).

What comes from without is like a valley. What rises up is like flowers in winter. What drops down is like a valley that yields in spring. What is born is like an infant who feels the pull of the mother. And what dies is like what was before the birth. That is why the sage moves around like the creeper to get the kernel of all things. He uses no strength to grasp it, and yet his substantial image is filled with all things. Now that is why the sage is luminous. He is without prejudice. He is without condescension. He is with the Source. He is in accord with the Source. The reason why he is the Source is that he uses nothing of the Source.

The origin of matter comes from the empty void. The foundation of things grows from the solidness of things. After their demise, their children join them. They move to the side when the great food is delivered, They sit down when the great pot is full. They nurse the infant when the days are warm. They depart when the great cosmic goal is reached. Who does not make an effort to benefit others? After all, Nature is noble and perfect; It nurtures all things without personal effort, and always returns to the home. Who does not disdain personal gain? Indeed, the virtue of an immortal man is unknowing; Who discards personal good, yet remains one with life. The one who strives always in the attainment of what he calls emptiness,
I would describe as haughty;
Heavenly or earthy,
or whatever I might call it,
may be compared to a substantial mass of substances;
In this way, the multitude of things may be likened to a single mass.
That which comes into being and is employed by things,
like the action of the earth, is compared to a substantial mass.
If you contemplate what is going on in your mind and body,
and what is happening around you,
this is called the practice of fathomlessness;
and if you consider the action of things as of God,
this is the act of a celestial.
Having fathomless observation, one is to know the eternal and eternal knower.
To know the eternal knower is to be divine.
To know the divine is to be of heaven.
To be of heaven in agreement with a divine is to be constant and hold fast to it.

Then each of them leaves the group and proceeds to its own place.
It comes to an end in order to bring others into the group.

The Uncarved Block by which the World is made
Is the Uncarved Image
Of the One
That Never Is Changed
It Is Light like the sky,
Which is its thread;
It Is Solid like solid earth,
Which is its root.
It Is Beautiful as the image of its father,
And to know it is to be a Modem of its Valley.
To know the Modem is to be of Nature;
To be of Nature is to be in Relativability with Natural Nature.
Thus Modem and Relativability
Are the Infinity-<eternal> Mirror of the Universe,
And the Constant Life of this Mirror
Is the Ever-Matter-<God-of-Itself>-<Eternal> Source of the Universe.
Therefore those who have attained Complete Nullity,
And then hold fast to the eternal simplicity,
Will be as free from death as a newborn baby:
Those who grasp at the eternal simplicity,
And then forcibly cling to the actuality,

To grasp at the actuality is to be in accord with Natural Character,
To be in accord with Natural Character is to be in alignment with Reason.
To be in alignment with Reason is to attain Eternal Life.
To attain Eternal Life is to be in accord with Nature,
To be in accord with Nature is to be in accord with the Laws of Heaven,
And so to attain Eternal Life is to be in accord with the Laws of the World.
Therefore one who has attained Eternal Life is like a jewel

Before speech comes to take its shape and become kind and polite, It is one who is also then able to be subtle;

He who is able to become noble

To be existing, to be dead
To have a destiny
Is to be like Heaven,
And all things are merged with it
So that its light
And the world beneath
All are illuminated;
To be eternal is to be adapted
To the life of the cosmos.
To be an adapted life is to be enlightened
And to be an enlightened life is to be fit to act
To act out of yourself.
All people look up to the person
And position they hold,
The people of the world
And the world is a confluence
Of people,
Even as a cloud.
A cloud indeed is but a frail tinkle
Of a sound,
Moving on a low note,
Holding fast to the rhythmic note
Of life's ever-changing rhythm.
He who is settled in one place can preserve peace,
When a whole nation remains at rest.
This is the constant presence of the Tao,
Trying to keep its energy,
The Tao in a state of renewal,
With harmony with its universal life.
Fancy words
Which can't make sense
Can't fathom the way it works
Can't fathom the way things work
Aren't fit to be left in the dust.
Things go on!
All talk is stupendous
But on the earth
Its love is soft as a child
And its promise small as a newborn child.
I alone am truly alone,

When, by fate of the highest, the heavenly chariot is disrupted, then, in accordance with its own motion, the ten thousand things return again to their origin. From their return, all things return to their origin. Return they do; then (other things) return also to their origin. In returning to their origin, they are returned to its fundamental, unchanging nature. This fundamental nature is called stillness. This stillness is called gravity. This gravity is called the harmonious origin of Heaven. Since this origin is uncarved, it has no division. And so it contains, in the extreme, all the people. The hundred-thousand things have their roots; they have their leaves; and they have their mouths. The mouth of this body is sacred to Heaven. It is the most pristine virtue. This purity is called the perennial principle. This principle is called virtue. It is the eternal law.

In the end of the great cycle of action, when things return to their original state, there will be confusion. The great cycle of action is then in harmony with the (act of) nature. Being still, the cycle of action is in harmony with the destiny of the cosmos. The destiny of the cosmos is that all things return to their original state. With that return, all things return to their primal condition. With that return, there is the cyclical sequence of action: To be still is to be at the centre of the action. The primal condition of the action is to be in equilibrium with the eternal law of the cosmos.
<|endoftext|>
When the chariot is disrupted and all things return to a state of stillness and quiet, then there will be confusion.
The cyclic process of life is considered the rule of the universe.
The constant will be called the eternal.
It is the constant that moves heaven and earth.
It is the constant that stabilises the sequence of cycles.
The timeless principles manifest themselves in the cosmos as eternally and harmoniously.
The everlasting principle, such as the Tao, is one of Unity.
Tao is the way.
The way is the unity of being.
Tao permeates everything that is.
It is the Way to return.
Returning is the constant, unchanging principle.
The constant is the most abundant and everywhere.
It is the principle of Direction.
It is the

The Kings and Kings of the world rely on the Tao, in accordance with Tao;
they are intelligent and do not destroy.
The words of the Tao and those of the world are not incompatible.
They work the same for everything, men and women alike.
Their constant action brings balance; they do not deviate from the Tao.
The place of the no-thing does not cease to exist; the places of the no-thing come to an end;
and the places of the no-thing return to a no-thing;
being again no-thing is to have the ability to be virtuous, and to have that virtue leads to receiving the result (in life),
being no longer free from all evil, and is the lowest place of (this) life.
These are the four (trips of) the journey of the spirit, which all princes and kings go to.
The road of the spirit, the Tao, the valleys of the Tao, the eternity of the Tao.

Continuing is the difference between quiet and activity.
One of them, quiet, in quiet, is returning to the way of life.
From the valley of the Way, the road of the sage, is being followed by all.
"Do not become aggressive"; this is to know the limit of one's limits.
Being in quiet, there is a return to the valley of the Way.
These valley valleys come to completion.
Returning to the valley, there is complete completion.
But not being complete, this does not mean danger of failing.
Knowing what is incomplete is to be constantly alert.
Knowing what is not to be alert is to know the condition of not-alert.
Knowing what condition not-alert is to have the ability to be virtuous.
Being virtuous, one can have achieved the end.
Continuing to follow the Way, to know when to stop and return to the source is to be intelligent.
Only by knowing when to stop and return to the source is one free from the danger of death.
The sage follows the Way, which is to benefit all men and women in the world.
When he wants to be free of the Way, he is to act according to the way.
To know the shape of the Way, to know the shape of the world, is to be intelligent.
Only when one has the wisdom to be intelligent, the

All the world passes away, and yet he yet retains the ability of life

He who is perfected in the family of Tao, can go far. But he who goes on unaltered, will only be worn away by decay.

When the world is at peace, keep the portal vacant.
When prosperity is at its peak, flower to bloom.
When everything has come to life, return to the root.
Returning to the root is called stillness.
When stillness has been achieved, the return to the roots is called the state of stillness.
The state of the state of stillness is called the "fruit" of life.
The fruit of life is great, to become great is to become fruitless.
Even if fruitlessness were not fruitless,
it would no longer be the state of the state of stillness.
The state of the state of the state of the state of the state of the state of the fruit is called "supreme harmony."
Supreme harmony is to be treated with harmony.
Treating with harmony is to be peaceful. Treating with peace is to be ancient. Treating with antiquity is to be perfected in the family of Tao.
Perfection in the family of Tao is to be a king.
When a king is achieved in the family of Tao, there is no more needing to fear for people's lives.

When a valley is surrounded by a circle, The valley becomes a river and becomes the common channel. When there is no spring, the valley becomes a big open brook. The valley becomes full when there is no drought. This is why the sage advises: (to) abandon one and embrace the other. First you avoid to walk (by the mouth); then you avoid to swim (by the way). Next you are contrary and extreme; next you are contrary and relaxed; next you are opposite and harsh; next you are contrary and contrary; next you are contrary and skittish; next you are extreme and rough; next you are extreme and vigorous; next you are extreme and hard; next you are extreme and fast; next you are extreme and dusty; next you are extreme and changeable; next you are extreme and inconstant; next you are extreme and uneven; next you are extreme and unreliable. When there is nothing left, then it is impossible to stop.

The natural watercourse is neither extreme nor narrow,Nor is it a mere river,Nor does it enter the land of a drought. Therefore, with wisdom, strive to walk the middle path:To ignore the extreme, and to ignore the narrow. And to ignore the extremes, and to ignore the narrow. And to ignore the extremes, and to ignore the middle path. Therefore, we are one in this action,And yet there are two.One neglects that which is extreme; one neglects that which is narrow; one neglects that which is extreme, and one neglects that which is awkward. One neglects that which is extreme, and ignores that which is unvarying. One neglects that which is extreme, and ignores that which is extreme, and one neglects that which is natural. Thus, the prime of the ruler remains constant; And he cannot be endangered in the slightest.

The Vavir is what you see when you stand on it. The valley below is what you go to when you want to drink from it. It is the common, everywhere-worthy channel. If you need water, you drink it. The way to stop having trouble is to treat it as easy. To have

One attains equilibrium by taking all things to extremes. He endures exhaustion and is at rest. Creatures go about their work. After their work is done, they return to the root. The returning to the root is called "obscure absence". To let oneself be obscure is to be active, and to lead is to act in opposition to the Tao. To act in opposition to the Tao is to set up a bad habit. A bad habit is a harbinger of disasters. A bad habit is the starting point of bad things. If something has been done in the course of the Tao, the results will be as varied as the seasons. Things take their course according to the natural laws of the universe.

One can be enlightened by this act of nonbeing, and is thus illumined by nonbeing. He is yet unaltered, and tranquil, in being in the presence of the cosmos. He walks, without fiddling about, through the processes of life. There is indeed a basis for becoming [amused] by the apparent at an unhewn log.One who does not fiddle with the appearance of a thing in the course of life is therefore illumined by the appearance of an unhewn log.Having not flippantly taken on himself the significance of being [heaven's] process or the processes of creation [and thus having an unblunted knowledge of natural processes],One is therefore one with the cosmos. One who so sees things as existing has penetrated to the inmost end of things. That end is as apparent as when the occurrence of events take place. It is so that the appearance and the ultimate are as the same,And so that the two are in some ways the same. The appearance and the ultimate, being in some ways the same,Have the same character and meaning. This meaning is that things begin to become when something stands still.
<|endoftext|>
One who holds fast to non-doing is thus illumined; One who is still is thereby kept from falling; One who lets go is thereby preserved from decay; One who rests is thereby enabled to go far; One who comes together is thereby equipped with self-power. This is why those who can receive the inspiration of the Great From (the cosmos) teach that they are illumined by (the Great) Non-doing; that they are stilled by (the Great) Non-staying;

The real thing (tzang) comes out, but the outer garment stays (hsiang).

The heart which has its heart in the Tao is like a large vessel which
is filled and secure until full; it is as thick as a pot.
Yet it is empty. It is the vessel which can neither be empty nor refilled.
Like the vessel, it never loses it capacity.
In the way it retains it capacity, it is also like the light-heartedness of man
in his striving to become noble as the sun,
and free from all illusions and vices.
The virtuous man has a solid core, as firm as the immaculate vessels of heaven
that are uncarved. In this he becomes the paradise for all things,
and the single home of the people of the earth. His being like the sun
is the virtue that he abides in; and his consciousness is like the sea
which is infinite. Being beyond this, he abides
with a region of realization, the deep enough to be free from all danger
and all desire.
The holy man desires the honor of a dao. Yet he is not a dao, because it is the world he loves.
To love dao is to be with the eternal world of the soft.
To love the earth, is to be with the eternal center.
To love the group, is to be with the eternal capacity.
To love the world, is to be with the eternal principle.
The ability to be with the eternal principle is to be thus forever, and to the end of one's life
no one will be able to harm him.

In keeping with the Tao, everyone can be brought to the conclusion of the Tao

What is done, is done. The Tao is not changed.
It is the same for things, in that even though they are moved, they remain the same as when they were generated.
How then could the latter be set in motion? By the action of the essence.
The action of the essence cannot be described in words. But the Ten Thousand Things are like it.
They acquire (the habit of) accordance and develop into subtlety.
All things under heaven move but the ten thousand things remain unchanged.
The ten thousand things are then like Heaven and Earth.
Since Heaven and Earth are the same, they form one.
This is called "being continuous."
Continuous is the lasting nature.
From permanent to lasting, then comes cessation.
Desire is to a height.
Those who are in desire lead to disorder.
To a height leads to ruin.
Dutifully give the Way as a gift of the Way and you will become wise.
Give the Way as an integral part of life and you will gain power.
The Way is part of the Way.
It is permanent, and because of it is unchangeable.

How does one continue (to act) when one has completed one's work?
If one follows the rules well, (the acts of) men are simple and natural.
A man of affairs begins with concepts of subtlety and progresses to actions that are far removed from the one principle in all its simplicity

When the ancient doctrines and the the only unpretentious doctrines are lost, what followed?
