Therefore, early learning is repugnant to the body's natural rhythms and strength. It fills the students' minds with fear.It makes them insane with profundity. In the minds of their professors and superiors, such studies have no place. But the Deities' students have imagines that they have found it.They see no reason to doubt.Nothing here lies in that which has been done.Who cares to know the destination of this love between man and Earth?

Gravity is not able to strain words.Great curves are not able to unsettle the senses. All this has vanished from the instructors' minds. But the myriad colours fill the student's eye.The flashing array of sounds is beyond belief. The action of hunting, the pace of a battle, the manner in which an infant is slaughtered will stay in the hearts of all men long after the banquet is over. When everyone is crowded in the hall, the sound of music attracts their attention. The sacred knowledge of the future lives behind everything else.No one under Heaven wants to listen to his mind's delving.

Bend, it is called, and all things will be confused.
Friction and energy between every corner.
When they are truly equal,
All things will be in harmony.
That is not so here,
Than the excess of the people's arcane knowledge,
How glad it seems to see their peace,
Or how moving the sounds of battle,
Or the rumble of a thousand battlements!
The Sage does not take the sight of creatures too seriously.
He sees everything as a simple metamorphosis,
And does not dwell on the beauty of things he treats with.

After talking to the people and meeting with them the way they live
As if they had been dead
Bend and contort like an infant,
Flick like an axe in the wind
Be careful and preserve your nerve
Gripen like a crossbow from the recoil
Grow and blossom like fruit or flower
There is plenty and plenty of it
And all the senses play a role
And the space between you and the immaterial
Will become dim with every word
The simple image of the great river
Ripples over and over like a pattern

People use words and deeds as long as there is no disease or harm. After they have been used up, they sigh and say "what a waste, how much difference there is! What a stupid show!" Let's laugh at it, isn't it? After all, words are like straws for so much else to throw away. So let them be soiled and faded, let us use them for making music and lights. The sage is patient. Is his goodness sweet? When a thing has light in it, it loses its light; is it refined? When a thing is young, it loses its youngness; is it beautiful? When there is a merry jingle, it blunts the sound; is it husky? When something rests on a bed of straw, it bleeds it away; is it haggard? If he would take up the moor and keep them alive, would he not prefer straw to him who walks on the water? Is his goodness unfailing and unbending? This is the way to a good man.
<|endoftext|>
When there is no disease or death, [people] use words and deeds for as long as they can. This causes people to cry out, "When the people come to rule over us, we'll never have a disease or death." That is why the wise teach tolerance and live without wanting. When good people are not afraid of violence, [then] people will not be afraid of violence. When the people love music, [then] the people will not be free of music. When the people love clothes, [then] clothes will not be free of clothes. When people are in jubilation, [then] a quick action will be taken to make the people happy. If the chief is willing to give up his life for the people, people will not be defeated and then cannot fight. [Therefore] the best man has it all. He enjoys praise, doesn't wish to use force. He does not insist on fame, fame cannot be taken away. He knows that what is in front of him is not stubborn and stubborn things will not be taken away.

It is with our desire to look at the transcendent that we have clarity; It is with our desire to look at the outer world that we have blindness. We have our desire to act only in accordance with the rites and rites of the world. The myriad colours the world and the myriad things scatter, The taste and the smell define them, The number and the order rules them, And the notes and the music keep the people listening. The Sage follows the eye, not the ear. Therefore the Great Man acts through the Unk'ung. Without reaching for the visible Way, he acts with clarity. Without seeking the outer world, he acts with his way.

It is with our desire to look at things that we have clarity; It is with our desire to look at things outside of ourselves that we have blindness. We have that desire to be right everywhere in order to be right everywhere in order to be right everywhere in order to be everywhere. A multitude of numbers and years and people and things and relations and ceremonies all belong to the world of the myriad things. The Sage always acts as if he were of the world; he would not venture to act at all. A wise person knows that what is best does not set out to display. That which is lost is not seen as lost. That which is dead is not forsaken.
These three things are evidence of a nameless mind,of a silent soul.
A wholeness of knowing begins by humility.
A soul with intelligence and wisdom begins by longing.
An intellectual man's path begins by questioning.
A person of wisdom begins by being unclear.
The Way begins with a name.
Follow the Way.
--The Way does not wave its own Image.
<|endoftext|>
When He who is great hears that he has been great, he soon learns to be humble. When he who is great sees that he has been great, he soon loses sight of his greatness. He who is great forgets his own greatness, forgetting that his greatness existed. He who forgets his greatness forgets that he is worth what he is worth. A wise man who forgets his greatness forgets his greatness. A foolish man who forgets his greatness forgets his greatness. Hence the Tao is to be found everywhere, and the Tao does not lie; it is not hidden. It is the Great Truth of the Tao, and it is not delusive. By it one may grasp the beginning of life, attain attainment, and be a source of eternal life. The sage may become a source of eternal life and become the deep heart of a kingdom. But he may also begin with the superficial, and soon attain enlightenment and insight, and gradually give up in self-consciousness.

The great ones hear of their greatness, and their humility begins to appear. The great ones cease to be distinguished, and their greatness becomes apparent. The great ones forget the greatness, and the greatness of their greatness appears. The great ones, who no longer forget the greatness, lost it, for only because they no longer forget it, do they realize their greatness. The sage, by himself, is scarcely able to perceive greatness. But he is universally renowned. The sage is not, however, obscure in what he is, for he seems to be in possession of the genuine common Truth. The common Truth is the origin of everything. The sage, according to his innate nature, does not seek to shine, and to possess the common Truth. He chooses to be undistinguished.Such an action would not be at all meritorious,

The DAO originated to attract men's hearts. The DAO is unadorned, unadorned. Its purity is unfailing. It is possessed of Life. It is open to many things, But few can possess its dwelling place. It is restless, yet does not compete with it. It is not concerned about what men say about it, Yet who could contend with it? It is without sensation, It is without taste, It is without touch. It is without sound, It is without vibration. It is without touch. It is without colour. It is without sharpness. It is without sound. It is without harmonization. It is without stature. It is without kind. It is without soundness. It is without form. It is without tone. Without conception. Without substantialness. Without duration. Without duration. It is without things. The Tao flows into Heaven without effort or thought. It is ever with, penetrating into, and very close to all things. It changes with the present without being conquered by them. It is innocent, open, and unaware of what happens. It gives rise to people without attempting to control them. It is not a tool of men. It is the Principle of Unfolding, the constant, without limit. It is unattainable, a mystery, but always genuine.

Though it may be remembered for a name, it will never be older than the beginning of time.

Good music over-rumble, But only a fool hears it. Fame leads to hatred; This is why magnanimity takes possession of a people; However vast it may be, Its space is all they can see. The sage embraces the physical world, And therefore it is forever. He doesn't see the physical world; But his teachings are everlasting. A great empire in time can, But a small one in its old age can't. Good men like clothes, Beauty and fine food, Fame and fame, And instruments of cunning, Thus their work is long and lasting.

What can be seen can never be comprehended.
What is so bright cannot be seen through.
What is so dark cannot be seen through.
These are the attributes of emptiness.
This emptiness cannot be seen through.
For this reason the Sage claims:
"The void is the mind of all beneath heaven,
the present stillness the heart of all beneath heaven."
These are his three attributes:
The intellect of a person is serene,
the stillness of a person is orderly.
The heart of a person is straight and unchanging.
The space of a person is broad and expansive.
These three characteristics of emptiness are possessed by all beneath heaven.
They are united with the empty and given birth of the person.
The empty person never knows loss.
The person never has sorrow.
Nurture that empty person and you gain everlasting life.
<|endoftext|>
Can you perceive beauty?
How dark and strange!
I would look for it in you, but I can't see it!
Beauty and darkness share the same essence.
Darkness is full of essential goodness.
Beauty is full of neutral qualities.
Both have their depths, And both fill their potentials.
The depth and the potential are the same.
The depth becomes the essence of the essence.
The essence becomes the inner life.
The person is reborn inside of the inner life.
By not looking within you, by being open to your essence,
You get a taste of the essential, the deep, and the uncarved.

The Masters don't see what is perfect.
They see only what is dark.
Masters are true-callers and good people, but they never look outward.
These are called
"the different degrees of darkness".
The difficult is full of negative qualities.
The bright is full of positive qualities.
These three have the same type, but different degrees.
So they are separate;
But it is the same with this
So it can come forth:
One is deep inside,
One is open,
One is still,
One is bright
One is dark
These degrees share the same source.
The source is deep;
Its light and darkness
Meet with each other;
In them you meet
In themselves
And they are yours.

Tao is the true way of all things. But none will recognize it as their own, Therefore, it draws the world to emulate it. Soft sounds are the lowest notes in the realm of nature, beyond all comparisons. High tastes are sullied spices, beyond comparison. The hunting of humans and the passing of time deters people. Sages practice the spirit of gentleness and insight, And eliminate all desires. When a great kingdom is founded, Good rulers arise. Great music grows by passing a multitude of men's ears. Great carving has a beginning in the mouth of the sculptor. Great galleys and boats rumble with the waters and wind from the sea. Enlightened people act by keeping the mind as the ear. The sage dwells in the heart and observes the spirit. She abandons the senses and the heart and follows Tao.

Tao is Non-Tao.
Thus the Tao is not in favour with the recipient.
Therefore, the Way is always with them.
The beautiful, the fair, the goodly, the profitable are companions of the Way.
Things attract to them and rob them of them.
Their goods cause them to fear robbery.
Fine words and music put people off their guard.
Those who are giving themselves up to the state or the world value the same things as the wealthy and the clever.
Talking loudly activates others, thus discouraging the practicers.
But the great man of old, knowing himself to be able to attain Tao, did not think that the Way should be valued.
Why should a man of old know that the Tao should be valued?
Because the Tao is valuable, And not only the worthiest objects, Too much being taken, spoiling;
Though many words and deeds are praised, not enough.
The sage knows how to value things That are even worth something.
For, even when there are multitudes of things That can be improved, The sage will not build up a tower.

He who understands this will not mince words,He understands only, not as it is.He understands only in regard to himself. He understands only in regard to the world. In his thinking, he cannot fail to be sincere. In his word, he cannot be without foundation. In his acts, he cannot be beyond good conduct. In his affairs, he cannot be without profit. In his words, he cannot be devoid of truth. He knows where all affairs converge. That is why he is no general. He who can not know this is an idiot. He who knows this is wise.

Great men don't mince words; they're not afraid to mingle them with simplicity. They blend them with sophistication, and then blend them again with they know their place. They blend them with sound and light, and then blend again with you. When you're evenly splitting the good with the bad, the conflict isn't so great, at least it seems. But if the bright shines, who could dull it?You can't get the end you want, or the foundation you need, by the knowledge of how things happen.Do what you need to do, and don't worry about what others think of you. There's nothing you can't learn.

To the perfect man only words are competent: words cannot be spoken. To the vulgar man words are inadequate: words are inadequate for the common man.The beautiful man has light tones; the kind man has refined tones.Good omens must be met with a severe edge. Thus the parts of the empire converge. When the forces of good meet with the forces of bad, there is peace and order. When the good meet with the good, the reasons for being differ. When good meets with the good, why lack of virtue is sought?

A group leader should speak with a simple set of words - no redundancies, nothing unnecessary. A leader should speak with confidence in order to reassure his subordinates, and reassure the whole group. A leader should create a sense of harmony when the group meets together. The leader should take care not to appear different from the group. He should refrain from indulging in multitudinous and conflicting goals. A group leader's first goal should be to serve the group's common good. His second goal should be to serve the interests of the group. To serve the common good

The Way comes from Emptiness; and Non-Being from Strength; and the One from the Other. The Inner Woman spurns the Small, the Inner Man boasts of the Grand. A treasure that is cherished will often be stolen.Good food will dull the senses, even a fine piece of work can distract the eye. The Wise Man uses the essentials: those that are abundant for his needs rather than distinguishing, that he can keep as much as he needs rather than displaying his wealth.

All things are in motion without the conscious mind.
They are in motion with the mind but with the use of the senses.
The subtle nature has no desire of itself.
It finds the simplest things and uses them,
But does not wish to be master.
That is why the chief of states -the realm of the subtle soul -
Is able to turn the world around.
Knowing that he will be despised, he does not try to boast of his merit,
And when he makes himself famous, he does not use force to retain what is prized.

Everything that moves happens without mind.

They move without desire.
The nameless is the source of all things.
The Named is the source of the Named.
The Grand is the source of the Small.
Good tastes turn people's eyes away.
Fine food sets people's stomachs alight.
Beautiful sounds alarm people's ears.
Wise leaders follow the needs of their families and the community.
They do not know their superiority,

When the king is firm in doctrine, then the people will not stir up trouble. When the people are mild in their movements, then they will not be stirred up.When there is neither pride nor anxiety, then their minds will not be disturbed. If joys and sorrows are frequent, then the minds of men will not have enough to do.People will not linger on every little thing, and, therefore, whatever they have will last. Therefore, the wise people try to make all things as easy as possible.
In the procedure of governing the people, they are detached. When the king governs his people, they are not discoursed upon; They are not raised up;They are not depressed; They are not proud; They do not think of their condition as precious; They do not love their food; They do not feel the attraction of their prettiness. Therefore, the wise people avoid showy actions and actions that are meant to attract attention. In the action of governing the people, they are moderate.

When the ruler is farsighted, heaven's gates open wide, and the people begin to stir (for a period of time). When the ruler is delicate, then his determination and ability to control are unfeigned, and the people fail to stir (for a period of time). If he glorifies the natural and excels in the human, then those under him will not have enough to do, and their minds will not be fanned with agitation.Everything in the world will be made as simple as possible. It is natural that in the administration of a kingdom there should be nothing extravagant or strange; nothing unnecessary is done. That is the simplicity of propriety. Thus the wise ruler is exacting his simple provisions.

If the ruler is lord of a nation and his people are placid, He makes their minds hard. If the ruler is gentle, he makes their hearts soft.If the ruler is undistinguished, his ability is lost, His dignity and his influence are confused. The creator moves without a fixed destination; he is not focused. He is found where he belongs. He will not be misled by any fancy that could distract him from his work. The senses seem as if they were alive, because they are alive. Though there are differences, they are not disordered. We seem to breathe with serenity in the work room.We are surrounded by the precious things which change as the season lends itself to them. With the noblest tools we hardly make much noise; but because we see the process as it is, the world cannot understand it.Yet the wise man does not ask himself why he has done this or for what purpose, because that has always been the way of nature.

He moves without a destination. He comes nowhere. He never leaves the origin. He finds peace in simplicity. He practices purity. He likes to be unattached. He chooses not to be influenced by such things. He knows he is in a space where there is nothing that cannot be used.He prefers simplicity to ornament. He seeks to be free from sensation. He desires not to acquire many.He seeks to follow the lessons of the world, not the teacher. He seeks to be selfless.Because he does not desire to obtain fame, he makes no claims.Because he never accomplishes anything, he lays no claim.Because he never works at it, it is always a success. He uses only what is necessary, and not that which makes things appear.

Those who know only the outward appearance will not attain truth. Those who build up their appearance will be undermined. Those who respond to all things with care will be abandoned. He who loves without caring for himself will be happy. He who regards the past as a show will vanish. He who loves all things but cannot see their future will not be able to be one of the myriad creatures. He who conceals the future is one who appears separated from the real. He who sees the bright ahead will have no place in the future.

If you spurn people you will be hated. People are always hated if they act selfishly, if they act without much intelligence, if they make a show of themselves, if they have a lot of money.
If you praise yourself you will be despised. Excessive praise brings fame. Excessive listening brings snorting. Excessive play brings ridicule. Excessive speech brings discouragement. Excessive learning brings no learning. Excessive feeling brings the mind in chaos. Excessive energy brings phlegm. The Way is vague, but verily, it is a Mother of all Things. Its rare expressions make soundless the womb of all that comes in its womb. Its artful phrases make it easily understand. The Unnamed is sufficient to name all things, all though it seems rare and obscure. Being without unnameable name, it is the origin of all things.

The way is a mystery, a mystery: obscure yet definite. Simplicity implies abstraction. Simplicity implies abstraction. Simplicity implies abstraction. Simplicity implies abstraction. The difficult to define implies detail. The elusive requires clarity. Who will do it all that day, the passer-by does not understand? Who will do it all that day, the sage does not understand? Who will do it all that day, the receptive world does not understand?

It's a difficult thing to define.
It's a very obscure thing.
Without abstractions, it's a baby of everything.
It's a very simple thing.
But with words, the process is very complicated.
Simply giving it an abstract name, it's always been what it is,
and there's nothing that can hurt it.
It's just an idealist, and that's true for everything,
just as long as you don't want to kill the baby or hurt the baby,
If you want to do good, give it something.
If you want to do good, do good.
If you want to do good, be real, and see what happens

We should not hold to the Tao, such as his "Favour".It seems to lead to sadness and disgrace.
We should not force our way to embrace it as though it were the natural way, as though striving to adopt it.
It is an emotion that cannot be helped, and one that cannot be endured.
The mind that seeks the inner voice, and walks its own path, can but lead to success.
The fool, who tries to grab and hold and direct the Inner Self, may have exactly the same outcome as such a person who, for this very reason, tries to control and manipulate.
Even in the best words, and the best deeds, the fool has no benefit; no matter how he speaks, or acts, or behaves.
No matter how able he is to be master over others, how he conducts himself, the result is exactly the same.
If he were not willing to call this the Tao, he would be hopeless.
We need only let our desires be, and all will be well.
We try to take possession of Inner Nature, and force ourselves to keep it.
We try to manipulate it, and by taking possession of it, we have nothing but mastery over it.
If it were not forced upon us, the mind would be free of danger.
Those that wish to control the mind and emotions will become foolish, just as a hapless horse that loses the only thing that can turn to it, would lose its whole owner.
We are doing what is best for our nature, our needs, and our desire.
Let us stay calm, as the Lord of the Dao, and allow the Unknowing to choose the precious Way.

he makes clear and perfect distinctions in deed.
He keeps his promises, and because he has no need for foreknowledge,
he keeps his promises in deed.

Do your part to be a good mother.
Do not show yourself as the lesser son

Do not show off your achievements to the world.
Do not perpetuate your existence like a homeless person.

Therefore, you will have a little room in the house.
Do not try to be the best
Now you will only show off your own imperfection.
Why are you not true to yourself?
Therefore you will be happier, healthier and more complete.

To be a mother, then to be like a guest, to be gentle, then to be angry, then to be insistent, then to be excessive, then to have nothing - this means that people do not know your state of mind.
If one does not have the ability to be self-righteous, one has no other motive but to be righteous. If one acts without merit, one has no other motive than to be good at what one does.
If one does not love one's fellow-beings, one is without a basis for one's feelings.
Thus, one may become worldly and overcome the mind of the foolish and foolish ones, but not other people.
Only as one wants to benefit all people but not fear to be misunderstood can one leave the Dao.

There is nothing in the world that is beyond the reach of the wise.
If you want to become something, you first must become what you are.
If you want to be loved, you must be loved.
If you want to shine, you must be known.
If you want to be valued, you must be valued.
If you want to have life, you must have life.
If you want to be happy, you must be happy.
If you want to be respected, you must be respected.
If you want to be loved, you must be loved.
If you want to be valued, you must be valued.
If you want to be close to everything, you must be close to everything.
The timeless wisdom governs all things.

A person living the way of the Tao Must be completely selfless.
It is quite impractical to appear superior to the world. If you want to be something, you must first become that which is nothing. If you want to be loved, you must first fear what is not worth loving. If you want to shine, you must first be hidden. If you want to be a treasure, you must first be despised. If you want to be loved, you must first be rejected. If you want to be enlightened, you must first be blind. If you want to be wealthy, you must first be poor. And in this way, only the One can keep quiet and still.
If a person lives in the world, he/She is doomed to grief.
A person who lives in the world looks sad and sadistic.
A person who lives in the Way is cunning and clever.
The Tao governs the universe.
<|endoftext|>
Accept the Dao, and change the way of Life into the Way of Nature.
The person who accepts the Dao lives in harmony with the Tao and does not seek approval or praise for his actions. He/She becomes comfortable in what exists and asks no praise or criticism for his actions.
People are fascinated by the words "less" and "greater" and "less" and "greater." People look for ways to justify their position and feel like liars and liars who are manipulated.

If such one truly loved existence, then, indeed, even a hint of the essence of existence, could be obtained.
If such one loved existence, his very being would be enthralling.

Wherever there is beauty lies hope.
Wherever there is glory lies disgrace.
Wherever there is talent lies disgrace.
Wherever there is righteousness lies destiny.
The sage is a receptacle of beauty, and a place where we can look at goodness and goodness alone.
The art of reality is to separate what we see from what we make up by means of goodness and goodness alone, and bring it to a complete analysis.
Where there is clarity is where the sequence begins, and where there is confusion there is reality.
In the substance of affairs the sage is trustworthy, but the simple truth needs to be expressed through words.
In the creation of life there is love, and in the creation of the spirit there is logic.
This can be found only in this oneness and in the limitation of knowing the truth.

Is there an ideal in the world?
Are beauty and looks important?
Is there good looks or evil looks?
When a carriage is orderly,

When bodies move, does there seem like a longing?
At home in the house of the sage,
there is always good food,
and at home in the world,
there are always bad food.
From the standpoint of the Great Tao,
it is not to be desirable.
Therefore, if you desire to obtain beauty and fame,
Look for work and play,
Then give up beauty.

My spirit is unruly.
My heart is unruly.
The heart of a fool is hard to control.
The heart of a good person is hard to control.
The heart of a foolish person is hard to control.
And the only thing that can make a person a fool is the desire to make a fool of others.
People are not foolish simply because they desire to be so.

Everyone in the world has a piece to play. But the point of these pieces isn't to fill a given hole; it's that they're big.
All these different pieces are separated by purpose and intention, each with its own purpose and purpose.
What happens when you've spent too much time figuring stuff out, pondering and calculating, and finally come to the point where you decide to make a step on the grass?
After a while, you get really confused.
You know when you've accomplished everything and that's enough.
You know that there's more that needs doing.
You've worked long and hard at getting there and are barely a step away from letting go.
Who would want to do that to themselves?
Don't force what you know to be true on others.
Don't dwell on what's beautiful or powerful or desirable.
The more you value what you have, the less you have to think about.
Give your inner self the time to bloom, let yourself be curious, and the more you build your own destiny, the more you'll be able to take care of yourself.

Speaking on behalf of everyone in the world has an opposite effect. I always see a pattern in the diversity of people's speech. When I am surrounded by men with

Abide in the inner, eat in the outer.
Endure and grow old, and die before reaching fullness.
That is the essence of Tao:
To lose one's fetters, and to open
one's mind.
The mystic Way is not a strict course.
Those who follow the Way are in no way condemned.
Those who follow that which appears
is not dispassionate.
Those who follow that which is not deep
is not discerning.
Those who follow that which is not long-lasting
is not ephemeral.
Those who do not live their course
live their life
and are not forgotten.
<|endoftext|>
The great Tao does not tell its own story.
That is why it is the Tao of all things and yet none need speak of it.
Beyond these things there are no boundaries, no tones, no tones, no tones, no boundaries, no boundaries, no boundaries.
Dwell where nothing lives,
<|endoftext|>
The great Tao is not asserted; it is like the Tao of all things and yet none need speak of it.
<|endoftext|>
The Way does not claim a story.
It is all-pervasive, and is only spoken of by names.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao does not claim to tell a story;
It may be found in the void;
None can go back to it.
<|endoftext|>
The Way does not claim to be a reason;
It is beyond knowledge,
And yet is known by names.
<|endoftext|>
The Way is to be found nowhere
Not right here, it is there.
How is this so?
It is self-sealed.
<|endoftext|>
The true way has no story,
For just as a cave begins and end in its quiet sound,
A bow is but a feather,
A bell is but a sound.
How is this so?
It is so-and-so's.
<|endoftext|>
The perfect Tao is hidden but never named; It is like an invisible thread of infinity, Which no sound can escape.
There is nothing more profound than silence. How is it that I can keep it?

This makes the leader
human but not earthly.
They follow one and refuse to follow another.
This is called the Tao.
<|endoftext|>
The wise leader is tolerant of both people and objects.
She is just.
She never abuses her people.
Because she is just, her words will not be twisted or manipulated.
Because she is just, her actions will not be manipulated.
Because she is just, her words and deeds will not be inadequate.
Because she is just, her actions are not self-destructive.
Because she is just, her words and deeds are not insipid or empty.
Because she is just, her intentions are not empty.
Because she is just, her motives are not mysterious.
Because she is just, her actions are not outwardly punitive.
Because she is just, her actions are not cruel.
Because she is just, her actions are not difficult.
Because she is just, her actions are not needy.
Because she is just, her actions are not empty.
Because she is just, her actions are not insipid.
Because she is just, her intentions are not empty.
Because she is just, her intentions are not filthy.
Because she is just, her intentions are not coarse.
Because she is just, her actions are not blind.
<|endoftext|>
The good man always does as a helper of nature.
It is always in harmony with nature.
Its actions are not excessive.
Since it does not behave in excess,
Then there is no conflict between it and others.
Without any expression,
There is no stirring.
Without any actions,
There is no violence.
Without any essence,
There is no feeling.
Without a body,
There is nothing.
Nothing is different from the natural.
It is what it is.

Teachers

|T|

O people! The greatest good is the kindness and mercy of the people
and the trust of the followers
your compassion and kindness can never be kept
only by having no affection to the people
your trust and companionship can never be maintained
let people forget your kindness and your trust
and their compassion and your trust will be but a deep sadness
when your kindness and your trust are to have no return
then the kindness and your compassion will have no return

Therefore true virtue grows not from possession, but from non-possession.
<|endoftext|>
The five colors are a blind eye.
Frequent use of it causes blurred vision.
The five notes of sound cannot be heard clearly.
Frequent use of the taste will deafen the taste receptor.
The five tastes are dulling the mouth's capacity to taste.
Frequent use of the mind will only create disquietude.
Those who practice the Tao avoid showiness and frivolity.
They go back to basic morality.
A genuine man is not indulgent, and he stays on the proper path.
<|endoftext|>
Focusing attention on seeing five colors instead of eye (visible)ight is an eye-witnessing error. By non-active awareness, the five colors are seen through the mind's discernment. By non-attachment, the five sounds can be heard through the ear. By non-attachment, the five tastes can be savored through the mouth's taste. By non-attachment, the thoughts of men's actions can be settled by action. The middling cultivation (of the Tao) means relinquishing self-control to accept life as it is, so that nothing may be in need of direction or guidance. (Why should one who is not on the Tao's path see the usefulness of passing consciousness back and forth between now and then?)
<|endoftext|>
That five colors, the bright light,
would cause the eye to fail,
Were not this the method of a (mere) man!
What better is the brightness than that?
So I see a person bright,
And sometimes the brightest
And sometimes the dimest.
Both agree to it,
And yet both do not perceive it
The one perceive,
The other do not.
It is, again, the same with the mind's tricks.
Who has thus neglected the Way and become fit to live
In the true way,
Must be frugal and nimble.
<|endoftext|>
The five colors make a person see things in a way that is not clear.
The notes that make a person's voice sound
makes a person who hears things in a way that is not clear.
The ten flavors make a person taste things that is not clear.
The five musical notes make a person pay attention to things that is not clear.

They only worry about what needs doing.
Carrying out tasks is as useful as resting.
Therefore the sage, that sees no flaws,
Cares for what is insignificant,
Holds back what is wasted,
And does not disdain what has been created.

It is not right for a ruler to be a leader. Therefore, if you are too proud, you will become a leader. If you think you are the greatest, you will be a leader. If you think you can always be right, you will become a leader. If you think the important matters are what you have to do and not what you want to do, you will become a leader. These are the ways of not being good leaders. When the sage leader takes up an issue and ignores the simple reason for failure, nothing is left undone. It is better to allow the leader fail then to overlook them.
<|endoftext|>
It is not proper for rulers to be emperors, unless they are like kings, which is by-passing the ordinary."
Nonsense, there are officials who also have an attachment to importance, and the important matters are done by themselves.
<|endoftext|>
Being a ruler of a kingdom or Empire is as ridiculous as being a clown. There are people in the world who take the role of princes as if they were their king and their business. So we see that in all of creation there are those who are entrusted with governmental responsibilities, while there are others who take it for granted. Being entrusted is different than taking it for granted; it is acknowledging it.
<|endoftext|>
People in the world are not expected to be great kings or leaders.
Everyone should have their place and is not forced to be great.
Nonsense. When the leaders and their tasks are done, they become empty-headed.
Losing their sense of accomplishment and their needs.
Leaders will act with lack of success and goals, even if it takes a lot of effort.
These leaders lack heart and desire to succeed.
We think that they are cunning, clever, and clever, although they are simple souls.
If the leader lacks ability and ability is not alive, he/she has no spirit,
.
.
In ancient times, people could not accept their position, because they were very strong people.
Therefore, they had no desires for extra lives
======================================== SAMPLE 5 ========================================
Do not grasp or grasp too hard.
Accept.
Be satisfied.
This is the Way of Tao.

Heaven without desires endures the bliss of beauty. Earth without desires endures the sadness of hunger.
What is desires in heaven is in us. What is in earth is in the earth. What is in ourselves is in our being.
In the valley, will I find no end.In the ravine, no end.
Heaven, what endures, has no end. Earth what endures, has no end.
What endures may be called sorrowful. What endures may be called bountiful.
Where there is neither respiration nor breath, there is also neither strength nor daunt.
These things are benighted, for their source is not benighted.
Therefore, the one in whom the Te has its essence, what endures within it, is in the very source.
The other, what endures outside of it, is outside of it.
There is no crossing or joining for that reason there are no fault lines.
This is what is called Quiet.
So it is that, when we have learned to keep ourselves, we can be enlightened in others.
That is why we can always rely on Tao.
It is what we live for and don't bequeath.
TAO the sweet and the tender of the heart,
the center of all there is,
the shelter of the self
-the true self,
the way that cannot be seen,
the road to nothingness

Last words are the end,
as the beginning, it is the beginning.
<|endoftext|>
To have an object under one's nose or see it only through a glass is to have an object. That which has no existence is to have a mind that is in the midstate of dukkha. Mind, by itself, is not one with the universe. Mind is something that differs from the universe. It is from where the universe gets its ideas. Mind, in the end, has no aspirations. It is what gives the universe ideas. As soon as a mind has passed from its senses to its sensual consciousness, and entered the mind of dukkha, it passes into unconsciousness. That which has no consciousness of its own, must have consciousness of something else. That which has consciousness of consciousness of something else, but not its

Some things, without action, are desirable, while, with action, they are undesirable.
Thus, the sage
creates wholes and maintains balance.
He eschews extremes and acts on the side of nature.
<|endoftext|>
The true sage is serene, and thus, all that concerns him is peaceful.
The world has more to say than you know to do, but what is good and what is not are simply not to be controlled.
Because you see all things as being of their own accord, you cannot cognize that what is good will wear off or that what is not is at all agreeable.
Nature does what it wants, it never stops.
Therefore, because the sage is free from such things, all things flourish.
Not finding much to desire, the sage is ever diligent in his pursuit.
A person's mind is conditioned by the mind of the world, and to seek that mind is not praiseworthy.
The reason is that he knows that the mind of the world is conditioned by the mind of the sage.
<|endoftext|>
Those that are enlightened, tranquil, look to the source.
The world is multitudinous and delves
But clarity is lost
Therefore, the sage dwells in the center
And so, everything emerges
Clarity is lost
Therefore, the sage does not dwell in the center
And so, everything flows
So what is prized, and what is not so
Is a part of things and is in no way to be contested
Thus, the sage creates and teaches to make things.
One may not achieve greatness
Yet, with that nothing is gained.
Because, one does not strive for anything, one is assured that to be great means to be inadequate.
Thus, the truly wise, not dwelling in the world, is free from the world.
<|endoftext|>
One of natural ephebglicity behaves with detachment from all that is held as being natural and rejects all that is natural. The universe has more than its share of criticism. But how much less be dislikes by this? The sage stays where things reside. Everything is natural, in a sense. Being natural in the sense of serenity, quietness, serenity, becomes pernicious. To act in contrast to nature becomes a virtue. This is just like the way things are. Sometimes things are

Perseverance brings success, but not the goal.
Thus: "For he who procreateth not to himself, not that he will perish"
[T]he ancients who know are true.
The ancient ones do not.
<|endoftext|>
Always remember the master's example, that you can follow the Way as if you were himself. Master people, and they will understand. Even when nothing comes to mind, people stay calm and receptive. The leader gives as much as he needs to govern, but doesn't stop or force anything. That way, everything serves its purpose. People will not be consumed by violence or ambition. Not being focused on profit leads to selfishness. Don't fight or act above it all. That is the secret to success.
<|endoftext|>
Governing with the master's example is to live according to your nature. It is to nurture what is raw, free from sharp instincts, so as to be still and unaffected.
Knowing the real nature of your body, one can look at the world in peace and content.
Knowing what is great, and from which things flow, one knows how to govern.
One can govern by taking pleasure, not by force.
One can be ruled by exercising that inner strength which strengthens all forces and not by those which are rigid and sudden.
One knows how to keep oneself free from selfishness and says yes to all things.
Because the spirit of the master can govern.
<|endoftext|>
The wise rules with the force of habit and not with the force of law.
Rule with the force of habit,
If there is to be anything said, it must come from within.
If there is to be anything said, it must come from without.
Before there was a kingdom,
Nature allowed it to be so.
Since then there was a king,
Nature also allowed it to be so.
The real force of a ruler is not the force of law.
The real force of a ruler is not force.
<|endoftext|>
The martial law of the land
Rites as you should;
Seems still in balance
This balance is the true Master's will,
Still, within and beyond the root
Is the host of flavor, the wisest illusion,
The void of all restraint.
You will let go
And experience

Therefore they are both moral and virtuous.

I have followed the Tao diligently for a long time and cannot tell the difference between righteousness and filial piety. If righteousness is superior to filial piety, how is my moral tenderness inferior?
If one seeks to be at one with the whole world and yet forsakes the comfort and safety of the self, how can filial piety become superior to the Tao?
<|endoftext|>
The best way to become good is to not to seek.
How do you know the next best way to become good?
by observing what you see.
The higher the brightness, the deeper the perception, the less the skillfulness.
The further back the vision, the more obscured the vision, the less skillfulness.
All this is an insight into something deeper than your own ego.
I take things for granted and know it is best to abide with nature,
not with the world, not with myself.
That is why I am tolerant of others,
tolerant of myself,
tolerant of Tao.
How can a basic awareness
depart from this tolerance?

You could have righteousness, but what does it mean?
How do you know that others accept you for you?
you can see this as yourself.
How do you know that others value you?
you can see this as the Way.
These three are one.
You can have goodness, but what does it mean?
How do you know that others value goodness?

You can have favour, but what does it mean?

These three are one.
How do you know to be self-sufficient?
You can have interests, but what does it mean?

By refusing to seek the

See what is not seen.
Listen to what is not heard.
Discard all pain,
and one's character will be bright.
The five streams of life share the same source, yet differently tune themselves.
Their physical purity bleeds.
The difference between light and dark
(the realm of virtue), what they call colour,
causes trouble.
The bright and dark
(the realm of intellect),
diffuse in different ways.
They contain no essential essence
(text)
This is called "the differentiation of opposites."
<|endoftext|>
See and yet not see.
Listen and yet not hear.
Discard motive and consciousness, and the path of life seems dark.
The five flavors cannot be well preserved without the original flavor, and so the flavor blinds the taste.
Trying to manipulate flavor, or pressuring it, would be a waste of time.
People turn against each other when their goals conflict.
The Tao can only reach the inner circle if the words are not meddled with, by speaking the word of the Tao, the heart of the words.
<|endoftext|>
Look and yet not be seen; Listen and yet not hear;
Stop your issues and all your fears,
And you will be bright;
And without faults, you can dwell in it.
The five notes can be tamed and refined,
But be never harmonized.
Sound and taste are not harmonized;
They are distortions of what is.
If a man discards issues, and discards all fickleness,
And he will become untainted.
If discarding his passions, and discarding the worthiness of the cup,
He will become purer than water.
He discards all worthiness to succeed in life;
If he discards his spirits,
He will be exhausted.
So the wise man in this way discards the contents of these three
And acquires the essence of the Dao,
And thereby makes him a man of the ten qualities, and may attain unity.
<|endoftext|>
Hold on to something,
Stop looking.
You do not need to do it,
Follow the way you are.
Music, sound and taste
become blurred together
and are therefore taboo.
When flavors fade away
======================================== SAMPLE 10 ========================================
They stop and start, not braying and boisterous.
The pursuit of good will get in the way.
The pursuit of ill will get in the way.
This is the way of Tao.

Looked for it, Tao always appears.
Can you view it, and it seems absurd?
The five colors
become not mysterious,
which will be perplexing for the eye,
which makes possible the mysterious essence,
which cannot be expressed by words.
The five flavors
will get the tongue confused,
which will make the palate long-winded,
which will be unfavorably named,
and lastly, the five husks,
which will make the mouth dry and dull.
These can all be found in the Way,
as the Way is a world,
but the Way always appears in front of its eye.
Its simplicity makes it incomprehensible,
yet it, therefore, must not be rejected.
The genuine Person
endorsates the Form and rejects the Spirit.
They look for a certain shape,
not at a certain distance,
and yet they can be held fast to.
It is said of the people of old
that they would not advance to extremes to gain it.
Do the things others do, and see their point of departure.
Do not do what others want,
and if you cannot, keep away.
They say it is the meaning of Tao.
<|endoftext|>
How can we know if it is there?
For we see the appearance,
but the true nature of things is beyond our sight.
Truly, the Way, as it is, is beyond our sight;
yet is far enough beyond our sight to allow us to be discerned.
The five colors, red and white,
brilliance, brilliance, depth,
luxuriance,
blueness, dark, deep.
The five flavors, savory and sweet,
salty and savory,
sweet and sour,
obscure and obscure.
The five notes, sweet and sharp,
bland and blocky.
From the beginning of creation, in the murmur of the ocean,
all things have a sound;
but when we hear what they are saying,
we can only respond with silence.
They say that in old times the wise were candid,
receptive and clear

Ten subtleties have no resemblance to one another. The five-legged creature is soiled by feeding on straw. The five-levelled thing is made up of a couple and a pile of wood. The sound has no harmonious response.
The five colors muddy the vision of the eye.
Favor and rejection cast heavy limitations upon the action of men.
The Tao that permeates all reality is the mainstay of all subtle way flow.
A journey in a dark valley leaves no traveler perplexed.
A cartload of straw holds no appeal to the eye.
A load of dung leads nowhere.
High-minded people assume propriety to the stomach,
to the eye and to the ear.
They discount a load of straw to the stomach,
to the eye, and to the ear.
The Tao of the Wise Person is known by neither too much nor too little.
It fits the rhythm of the subtle way as well as the mundane.
In this way he avoids extremes.
<|endoftext|>
Abandon the soft words and and don't understand them.
Stir them and don't understand them.
Music, light, sound, all of them turn everything upside-down.
They are all darkness in order to make a bright surface.
The belly remains calm, the eyes remain dark, the palate stays balanced and the senses remain in balance.
All this is because the belly makes it all that it is and doesn't rest upon any one thing.
Let each of us focus our thoughts on ourselves and our spiritual needs.
Because we forget ourselves in a big scene, we see the person we are.
Because we lose ourselves in the world, we forget our core identity.
We must really return to the root.
<|endoftext|>
Abandon the soft words,
and don't comprehend the ramifications.
Don't laugh at the left;
don't laugh at the right.
Music, light,
all of them bring on a cataclysm.
Sound and sight,
all of them mar the eye.
The beautiful, the ethereal,
all of them reveal mystery.
The Tao that is at one with all
kindness,
is the foundation of all
kindness.
A traveler on the plain
commences with the sounds of rust

Reveal the One and open your gate.
The five attributes (hsin) mark the beginning of Heaven.
The sound and taste alone are signs of life.
Racing a horse makes the heart strangle.
Granted rare goods, their benefit is obvious.
Therefore, the great man disregards the body and sees only the mind.
He takes the lesser one and sees the benefit of being first.
<|endoftext|>
If you dwell on the great you are oblivious.
If you want to be spotted, you are seen.
If you want to be in tune, you are disturbed.
If you like a fine dish, you must be there first.
If you want to enjoy a lot, you must be at the center first.
If you are craving things, you must realize that they must come later.
<|endoftext|>
Withdraw your focus to the left and look out.
You see great things are hidden.
Withdraw your focus to the right and look in.
You see nothing is secret.
By separating yourself from thinking and acting,
Your real self can emerge.

When one looks at the Great, he comes across nameless wonders.
When one looks at the Subtle, he comes across ugliness and sorrow.
When one looks at the bumblebee, he sees the reproductive male.
When one looks at the great horse, he sees the reproductive female.
When one looks at a magnificent feast, he is looked upon as great.
When one tries to set oneself up in the merit of others, he is taken for an outsider.

Eliminate one's self-interest and the Way becomes apparent to you.
Eliminate one's self-interest and one is misled.
Eliminate one's self-interest, and one knows you are being used.
Eliminate one's self-interest, and you can ignore your desires.
Eliminate one's self-interest, and you can be provided for.
Eliminate one's self-interest, and one finds your success will not be a failure.
Eliminate one's self-interest, and you become a natural agent.

======================================== SAMPLE 3 ========================================
Tao in action is subtle but profound;
it appears to be a simple piece of work,
but the teacher's strength lies in it.
<|endoftext|>
The myriad things of the ten directions are all weak and illusive as a black curtain for the eye of the sage.
The ten colors muddy the blind.
The ten sounds refuse the ear of the heard.
The ten flavors and sounds ruin the palate.
Riders of fierce beasts on the hunt miss the mark.
Hunting weapons exhaust the fingers.
The sage must have legs for everything else to fall by.
But since no one can see him, he leaves nothing behind.
Tao in action is easy to understand, yet mysterious and invisible.
It may appear to be a simple tool that needs no master to use.
The master is there.
<|endoftext|>
Those myriad things of the ten directions are the cause of blindness to the eye of the Sage.
Gravity and disorder obscure the eye of the Sage.
Tone and sound derange the ear of the Sage.
Riders of illusive horses and hunting deprive the senses of the Sage.
The myriad colors and the ten kinds of smell arouse the senses of the senses-sensates of myriad things.
Racing with gale force people blind them.
To avoid seeing others' movements all things are trodden upon.
Therefore the Sage acts by non-action without any thought of who he is or what he does.
He goes without the clothes, the materials, nor the apparatus.
This is his subtlety and progressiveness.
<|endoftext|>
The myriad creatures of the ten directions are a threat to the eyes of the man of Tao.
The ten colors dazzle the eye, the ten tones deafen the ear.
Gentles of the ten kinds of speech [of the various countries] make the mind of the people mad.
Gentles of sound make the tongue weak.
Riders of horse and chariot (for hunting) destroy the mind of the people.
Riding on a stallion (in hunting) people lose their way.
The Sage therefore acts by silence, is without words, by the Way [of the Tao]; - for example, in hunting the chariot or the horse, with the men's hearts (general and personal), without clothing, without instruments.
Thus does the Sage withdraw himself
======================================== SAMPLE 4 ========================================
The Tao is beyond the mind,
and there is nothing to understand
nor be embarrassed by.
Tao and nothing amass for those who understand the Tao;
the people stand still and look away.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao is the invisible Tao.
The brightest and broadest of all the world's lights.
The strongest of all the world's marks.
The biggest of all the world's goods.
The lightest of all the world's things.
The toughest of all the world's things.
On seeing it: confusion.
On hearing it: blasphemy.
Hence it is that the sage skilfully sees the Tao;
not the bright eye, not the strong, not the penetrating, but the subtly.
Riding a great ox, he does not see the ox;
and on ascending a tower he does not see the top.
Tao and no-thing-in-itself appear;
And a thing and the myriad things appear.
Ceaseless and dull they appear.
Therefore the sage acts from the belly, not the eye,
and prefers the left over the right.
The Tao gives birth to no-thing and a thing makes itself out of nothing;
The Tao impels and produces nothing.
Therefore the sage uses the Tao and nothing's left over;
not to quarrel but to learn.
<|endoftext|>
If the Dao was as invisible as air,
Exceedingly might be drawn upon.
Even as bolts and bolts -
Could make people blind.
All things could be confounded.
Even those most excelent in all -
Could make people mad.
Yet the well-known have it.
Even though the master -
The least intelligent -
Must be herestrain from the doorway.
These varieties of passion
Always put people off.
Therefore the sage stays subtle,
And doesn't draw a sharp distinction.
Hollow or square, blade or shank -
Of every kind he doesn't see.
The person of the Tao does not see
And so is not disturbed.
Tao and nothing remain.
That of Tao confuses,
And that of nothing seems to do.
Sage on Tao still leave nothing
But one's in truth there.
<|endoftext|>
Do they want to see it?
They don't even need to look!

======================================== SAMPLE 5 ========================================

The highest wisdom is not fully comprehended.
The best music has no voice that can be heard.
Racing a horse on the course of danger has no sound that can be recognized.
Of all the things in the world, the beautiful has the most beauty, but the most beautiful has the sharpest eye.
The wagon that goes a mile in the night has no door that can be opened.
Therefore, when traveling the way of the Tao, we should leave the other in mind.
When ruling by the Tao, we should not intrude on that of the other.
If all the things in the world are called by no names, we know what they mean.
When all the things have their names we have a point to look at.
Always by keeping an eye on the center will keep to the Tao.
Always by leaving that in the mind will lead the other.
<|endoftext|>
The truly wise do not understand the subtle essence of Tao,
nor the myriad sounds that accompany all things.
They might be wise as a computer.
They can race,
But cannot complete the course.
They may have the greatest talent,
but have no voice to be heard.
Then, the ten thousand things have beauty.
I cannot find a model that fits,
And so the people call it the Big Bang.
It can be seen,
But cannot be felt.
Thus, that's where we separate.
Those who divide and conquer
Call it talent.
They divide us
And then turn us away.

The master does not understand,
is it not so?
The finest musical instruments lack a voice,
are they not so?
The best on horseback cannot complete the course;
Can they therefore
have it so;
Can they march, while the land
does not stop them?
Can men or dogs chase after them,
can the sky without light do it?
And yet this is only their shape;
the people call it The Great Modesty.
What then is it really like?
The broad and the deep are
both above it;
you cannot see them
because the light is dim,
they are both within it;

To judge a piece of wood by seeing only its extremities -That is all useless.
To judge the body by the countenance of a noble person -That is also useless.
To judge the five tones by hearing only a single note -That is equally as useless.
To judge strength by size - That is also as useless.
To judge worth by girth - That is also equally as useless.
To judge the offspring by the number of eyes - That is also equally as worthless.
These are such things as hinder the action of the Sage.
Therefore the sage at all times acts from the belly rather than from the eyes;
Using benevolence, rather than valuing beauty, or using force to force men to accept one way or the other.
<|endoftext|>
To know what is precious is to know whether we wish to go into danger.
To know what is attractive is to know what the mind regards as undesirable.
To know what is a force is to know what the mind rejects.
Those who use the latter to oppress others become thereby enemies of the people.
Thus the sage takes no sides and has no prejudices.
He allows himself the very lowest position.
Always relating himself to others, he prefers being one of them.
<|endoftext|>
"Know" what is worth looking for;
Know what is worthless.
"Draw" upon what is appealing;
Draw upon what is in vogue.
"Push" upon what is in demand.
"Murkiness" makes all things hard to know.
Let the good people in your society act with patience,
and the bad men with justice.

If you look for it, you will not find it.
If you stare at it, you will not see it.
If you try to pierce it, you will not penetrate it.
If you force it, it will not resist.
That is why the Sage never has pity for people;
Rather he prefers peace and calm.
Always depend on him for security.

The Way is the Mother of all things.
What goes is Tao.
What comes back is Tao.
Dawn and night are the mother of all things.
The myriad colors and sounds produce the myriad sounds.
Maddening on a hunting ride is the sound of the hunt.
What they desire is what is already in existence.
They ignore it and look for it.
When they fail to meet the eye they deny it.
When they fail to meet the eye they find it.
Thus, the Tao is all the Way, All things follow the Tao, and All things are what is existing.
Thus, the DEITY takes the form of the DAO, and the DEITY takes the form of the DAO.
Their DAO and DEITY are different, and so are they also different.
Thus, the Dao is very great, and All Things follow the DAO.
Therefore, the DAO is very great, and All Things follow the DAO.
The multitude of words that are said about Tao produce the multitude of images.
Matter is going to exist and is being produced by the ten thousand things.
Other matters are brought into being and are being produced by the senses.
If you want to possess the senses, you have to know how to make them go away.
It is with knowledge that you can avoid being aware of what is happening.

The DAO governs the world.
What it does is done by the DAO.
What happens to it is what happens to it.
The myriad colors, sounds and flavors blend into one.
As you walk in the world you see what others see, and hear what others hear.
Even though the world may seem endless, it is still the path of the universe, for Tao.
It is only on the other side of this void that the names of things are born.
It is only on this side of that void that the potentialities of existence become apparent.
I follow the light of the DAO and the Dao moves with me.
And I follow the dark of the Dao.
These names are there, but the DAO is the Dao.
The Dao and the Dao are not names.

The left, it says, is to be the lower grade of white;
the right, it says, is to be the superior grade of red.
When one acts without forethought,
His actions are beyond compare.
Therefore the sage acts
From the left not the right,

Thus they make the world!
With their heads, not their hearts,
To the left one (the sage) is to leave behind.
In front they are to enter.

The five tastes like paradise for the mouth.
Racing a horse in pursuit of a destination is like the courting of the great hunts.

Established existence is loss.
Is it a loss?
To live is the breath of life.
In the stomach it is nourishing,
In the head it holds the sound,
In the breast is the heart.
Every one dies, yet its life is not removed.
All the valley-waters through him come;
He seems to drink.
He is then heard;
He is soon forgotten.
Everyone meets his doom;
How could he not turn this fate into his own?
Everyone dies,
yet there is vitality;
And he turns it into evil.
He has eyes and ears,
But does not know his own essence.
One who does not know himself,
Must care not to act,
Must care not to judge,
And must be ever watchful over what is going on in the world.
Only through his ever-living consciousness,
One can be open to all things.
From the way of the Tao he recognizes all things,
With eyes, ears, and heart,

Can you only see this through Tao? No.
Can you only observe this through the light? Yes, I do both.
All things in the world come to me because I am distinctively my own.
What is happening in the world is happening only because I am uniquely self-unique.
If I choose to be separate from the world, I can be separate from the universe as well.
If I know nothing, everything is as though I am nothing.
If I am self-aware of things, they begin to shine through.
If I am self-aware of myself, I begin to shine through.
If I become all-knowing, there is no end to what I see.
There are different ways to look at Tao. Do you find them useful?
It is your nature to be different from the world.

In Tao, one does not try to put oneself in the center. One is in self-development and self-healing. Tao benefits the whole world and its members even at the price of soul-chaos.
With self-learning, the Way is spontaneous and complete. The Tao you receive is not self-serving or vainglorious. The Self that you receive is not the self.
The way that is complete is spontaneous. The way that is completed is not the way.
The way that is complete comes from nonbeing. The non-being that comes from nonbeing is empty.
Embrace the Tao that is unadorned. Don't go anywhere.

When it is not known, it cannot be known.
Therefore the wise

They stay away from what is insufficient.
They stay away from what is vexatious.
They stay away from contentious.
They remain away from delusive conceptions.
They stay away from passions.
For the sake of this; They are content with simply what is,
Not too great, not too little, not too much,
Not enough, just enough.

The Tao is all-pervasive, but as yet there is not the name given.
It is a subtle Spirit, and an obscure Essence, but within it there is no name; its name cannot be named, and no one can define its form.
If you would know its nature, there are distinctions, for it goes on within me, to do as it pleases,
to do things from what it does.
A Tao-Ego, man is not distinguished from; he may be distinguished from,
but no one in the world can distinguish him from.
He may be distinguished from, and as he goes, so will the Tao-Ego;
he may be distinguished from, and as he goes, so will the Tao-Self.
The Tao-Self does not distinguish; he is not separated from the Tao-Ego; he is not separated from the Tao-Self;
he is always with the Tao-Ego.
He is not greatly different from the Tao-Ego.
He does things his own way.
It is not easy for a man to be simple;
If one can be in the center, there will be no obstructions.
That is what a wise man does:
He does what is needful and easy for others,
but does not demand a reward.
How easily one can be fooled,
or cursed,
or betrayed!
He does not force himself on others,
and yet he does not owe them any favors.
What can be a little great, a little little, a little much?
There is a limit to what you can expect from you,
the center, the true state.

What is also mysterious is what happens only, What happens only is change. What is also real is real, Real Change is life.

The Eternal Tao is infinite; so too is the DAO. The DAO is of the same nature as the Eternal Tao; in the Eternal Tao is given everything, and in the DAO the same things arise and decay. The DAO, too, is profound, as is the Eternal Tao, and can produce eternal changes, for things can be brought back and forth to its natural state; just as DAO is an Eternal Tao, are the DAO and DEO as well. The DAO is what is profound; so too is the DAO; and what is profound is the DAO. We call DAO hereandthere. The Dao is as infinite, so too is the DAO.The DAO is different from the DAO, in that the DAO is changeable. The Dao is like the DAO; and so is the Dao. The wise are like the Dao; the wise are also as changeable as the Dao. They are truly like the Dao.The DAO is what is plain and the DAO is what is mysterious. If you can understand the mystery, then you will know the plainness of the DAO.

Lao Tze says, The Tao cannot be clarified. If it is not clarified, it has no shape. If it is not stretched, it has no form. If it is not made, it has no parts. If it is not given, it has no merits. If it is not praised, it is not good. If it is not esteemed, it is not rare. How could any one describe a person's self? The self cannot be enumerated. In giving, I give my Self. In considering, I do not think about myself. In desire, I do not know if I am desire or not. In talking, I do not talk about myself. If you accept only what is true, you do not have to be self-seeking, self-conceited, self-complacent, self-boasting, self-complacent, self-lover, self-shameful, self-absolutist. Your whole heart is bound up with this Tao, yet it never moves, and is never confused.

Lao Tze says:
The perfect image doesn't attract attention.
It has no form,
yet it has no lack;
it has no name, yet it has no name.
The one that needs to be praised
Can't be fully named.
But the fruitless desire can be named.
The fruitless action can be properly named.
Everything that needs action comes out.
Anything that needs praise comes out as empty air.
When things depend on each other,
they get tangled up.
He who honours the way lives in this Tao.
He who lives in this Tao will never lose.
He can get no further than he can follow Tao.
<|endoftext|>
The perfect form does not attract the eye; it cannot be defined; cannot be identified with its form; it has no name.
The Complete Act must be in order for its fulfillment; and the Complete Being must have its nature.
The perfect System is totally absent of transformation; yet its characteristics cannot be reduced to any existing system.
It takes shape, then shapes; it accomplishes its task, then completes it; it acts for the purpose, then considers its actions done, then it experiences its effects; it has the same quality of manifestation as it had before.

When the way is clear, there's clarity in the eye.
When there's light, there's brilliance.
When desire's in the gut, there's restlessness.
And the world cannot be seen without distortion.
Whoever follows the Way is illumined.
When your heart is clear and you don't need your eyes to see,
You get your bearings.
When you understand the world but don't see the flaws in the heart,
Your heart will have flaws.
And when your mind becomes so busy with views that it's not aware of anything,
You will get lost.
The Te says:
The square knot isn't as thin as the rope used for making the house.
The mud won't clear the eyes of an experienced traveler.
While desire and fear are not in harmony with your heart,
You won't need the world for guidance.
Thus the master does everything his own way.
All he sees with his light eye.
He does everything his own way.

Before one's foresight and forebodings can begin to find full fulfillment, one must first have "discernment," which can be recognized as such, or by contrast, as uncarved wood and bronze, or stillness and light, or lust and painlessness.
The foresight of an ancients must have had all these.
They may be called the poles of their being, the grounds of their being, the noblest opposite, and in general, the luminous source of their light, the spotless mirror of their essence.
They must have had a mind that regarded all things as equally valued, as being integral, equally essential.
They must have been guides to all creatures to which they might be attached.
The one among them who has broad comprehension of the phenomenon of life must have had a penetrating mind.
He who had the widest mind would attain deep insight.

it loses its life in starvation.
The entire world may be killed
by one.
The Tao, the Way,
becomes empty in its emptinessness.
Heaven and Earth,
solidify and become one.
Thirty-five thousands of things,
all of which gain at no expense,
tending to meekness and returning to emptinessness.
Everything, when seen without desire,
I see as it is,
as it should be.
The Tao cannot be taken and carries with it.
And it is without end.

From the earliest times, I have watched the world with complete impartiality. The main function of Reason is always to observe and not to examine what is happening in the world, and therefore does not interfere with the affairs of man. The gods reside within the inner realm of humanity, and do not interfere in affairs of the earth. The King resides within the outer realm of humanity, and does not interfere with affairs of the law. Being one, the Inner and the Outer: both mutually interdependent, and dual in meaning. The world itself arises from the Inner, and dissipates into the world. The inner world is fed by the outer, and decays into the Inner. Thus, all that is in the world consists of

Why do people value wealth above all other things? They sense its essential beauty, because of their own inner unity. The beauty is so real, though, because it is hidden and invisible. It is something that is never seen, so perhaps they can love it because it is so genuine. The real beauty of wealth resides in how it teaches us to stay true to who we really are. How is it possible that the very essence of the true, humble man is in the material world, for example, knowing how to preserve true justice? The subtle wisdom lies in its simplicity, and yet so much is given away that it is almost impossible to choose only what is truly precious.

The greatest honour is the recognition of something that is already admired.
Something dear is something people love, and I don't really know what to give it as a gift
The richest person is an example for everyone else,
Someone who still loves the folk just knows he has more to give
This is true love.
The secret is hidden, but the truth is plain.
Just so!
The master has the most,
So how could anyone ever do better?!
<|endoftext|>
Who values beauty above everything?
He sees the beauty in people and minds.
He is conscious of their own beauty,
And yet he doesn't recognize it.
He is loved by people and minds,
And yet he does not see it.
He gets honour, riches and success.
Nobody can compare with him.
<|endoftext|>
Who values the beauty above all else?
He sees what he sees in people and minds.
But he doesn't understand what he sees.
He loves what he loves.
This is what he feels.
<|endoftext|>
Whoever loves something above all else,
He sees things but does not see the children;
He loves a thing but doesn't love himself;
His place in the world is done:
How much more can he love the intangible!
How much more is this!

If you try to express the Pattern in words, it is as though it were a series of parts.
Of the parts there is nothing discernible. The distinctions, which the parts are products of, are all obscure.
The senses, which are the eyes of man, see only the features.
The weapons, which are the hands of man, see only the blade.
The leader of men, he trusts the people to be his instruments.
Thus he succeeds in guiding the people;
But he doesn't depend on their actions to do so.
Because he values what is not solid and what is not refined,
And because he doesn't want to dazzle the people with things bright and beautiful,
He is in harmony with all beings and nourishes the growth of the myriad beings.
Because he does not want the people to aim at a point of perfection,
He gives them his support, in order to clarify their confusion.
So he lets them penetrate their whole life and find their inner light.
He teaches them to discard the appearances and examine the inner essence.
To reveal the nature of things, they discard the superficial and expose the hidden.
By this means the universal soul is endowed with purity and not perversion.
<|endoftext|>
The Way is empty words.
Its emptiness is the way of things.
There is nothing in them that cannot be expressed by words.
The distinctions are deep and myriad.
The eye can see but it cannot identify.
The hand can see but it cannot grasp.
The mind is alight with fire and cannot close.
The instruments of war can see but cannot aim at action.
The world is divided but nothing stays in one place.
Wise leaders believe the people will trust them to guide the world.
But the followers are not so forceful.
Because they are self-mastery and not such faith.
They are nourished and not fed,
But don't depend on what can be seen for what can be had.
Therefore their strength is seen and not got.

Observes Tao without looking to the outside for guidance
So the wise don't try to compete but care about serving their people
They can't compete with external power
And thus those who know themselves are illumined
Might not have bright ideas
But they can be useful by serving
As guides to all people
And so the wise ruler
Leads the people to the goal
That is to let go of competition
As it is not their destination
It is also the leader's duty to take care of people
To help them move forward
And so act as a guide for all people
Because they don't strive
They simply embrace the common good
As they help the people to become new
And so stop worrying about winning and losing
They allow the birth of good into the world
For one of their own
The world will know them as their family
As the same as the roots of the whole world
The future generations will see them
As their own Ancestors
As if their parents

As many as can be consumed
As many as may be ruled
As many as may be named
As many as may be commanded
As many as may be rejected

They yield to the most basic need

And so fruitful
Then they will see the base
The beginning of the myriad
And the root of the countless
As a father feeds his children
And thus becomes as their mother
And thus will long serve

As the gateway of the universe
And the root of the destiny of all men
As the common root of the universe
And the mother of all

Music and the noisy and wild are comprehended as though the mind were conducted along a noisy and wild path.
Racing, hunting, and gladiatorial sport are images to be looked at as though they were spotted with a thousand colours.
The biannual celebration of hunting and racing, as though it were observable by the eye is to be comprehended as though it were a state of mind of things.

Between dusky colors and a dawn whiteness.

Horse track trails go left; carts go right. How may a carriage's track be right or left, though from a position relative to a horse? To the eye, a trackless space is like darkness. A vehicle's track left or right, though from the same position, is like to linger on the trackless ground. How may one watch a battle raging on the left or right? It is in front. Is there no way to avoid the greatest peril: Serenity! Who acts out of the greatest fear? Through daily meditation he is free of fear.

The sage leads by following.
He keeps to follow because this is what he does.
The "Value" of being empty is expressed by:
1. "People view the empty as the perfect being.
2. "People view the perfect being as life,
3. "People view living as a difficult task.
4. "People are indifferent to possessions and desire.
5.
People are eager for goals and achievements.
6. "If you act, you must first pay the price.
7.
All value is derived from how life is done
8. "And so the sage avoids action,
or pays for all his actions with life.
9.
When the pursuit of aim is confused, it could lead to greed.
10.
If the values end up being extra something in life
then it needs to be spent in a peaceful way.

Therefore, the sage follows the easy path.
He neither tries to push his own

The six colors blind the eye
The six tones deafen the ear
The five flavors weaken the palate
Racing and going hunting only disturb the mind
Fine-grained food makes one's bones ache

She does not aim at the external;
She dwells in the heart
And does not see distinctions

When the eyes and ears are confused and deafened,

If flavorings and flavors are not used it will become so deeply enmeshed that the ear cannot penetrate it.
If the five flavors are not used it will become so deeply enmeshed that the heart cannot penetrate it.
Catching, hunting, or going about with horse-drawn carts and hunting excites the mind rather than the senses, and so it is that the good man abandons hunting, movering a cart or carting, and uses this Tao.

The Tao is not of itself a thing.
Its usefulness is limited.
It lacks the distinction, and is therefore invisible.
Its form is not its image;
Its image is lost in space.
It cannot exist.
Therefore, it needs people;
It takes ownership.
The existence of an entity need not be manifested;
Its existence exists in full.
If it does not exist, it is known;
If it exists, then it is a person.
The creation of an entity
is not essential.
If it is essential, the relation is fulfilled;
If it is not essential, the relation is not fulfilled.
Therefore, the way is the left;

Its usefulness is limited.
Its functions are nebulous.
Its form is invisible.
Its left side is concealed.
Its right side is hidden.
Its vacancy is infinite.
It is simply non-existing.
Therefore, it must be thanked.
Inexplainable is its source.
Its point of origin is hidden.
From the left side comes comprehension.
From the right side comes recognition.
The Tao operates on the left, yet rests on the right.

For when one sets one's mind against the Tao,
It becomes tangled.
So, too, it is that
The mind of an intelligent man
Is not for the simple soul,
Nor his logical mind for the average soul.
Therefore, the wise man follows his nature,

And not his place.
Thus he is careful not to change things.

How far apart are the light and the darkness?
Neither natural light nor illusory light.
Both are conditioned by the dark.
It is the dusky shade.
A man of upright character fears no evil.
He seeks no taste, nor the sight of dust.
No flooding of the body, no wandering of the mind.
In all things he abides.
To seek after love is to be in one's true nature;
to be in the dark is to be in confusion.
How far apart are the light and the darkness?
There is no light in darkness.
Darkness is the constant to the light.
The light within us is different from the dark within the darkness.
Darkness cannot be known by means of light.
Neither can the light of the light.
Neither can our thoughts.
The sage uses his power of will and desires to attain, without need of looking for, his true nature.

They avoid hurt
because it's in their interest
to be so.
Why else would the best knower of the universe
give as much wisdom
as she can?
The best ones are always doing
nothing, so they can go on forever.
They invite the curious mind
by listening
to everything, so they can keep learning
and gain a lot of experience
as well as their own minds.
They give up foolish food
just because they can see
that they are healthy and not having to deal
with others.

In order to keep knowledge in him, not always to hold it, Therefore in the great Masters
they always avoid the use of force.
Since they are so discriminating, therefore they can do everything: They learn music, write books, take lessons, have them and receive them
. But the best ones are always at rest, so to be at ease with them: they don't show off themselves, so there is nothing to make fun of.
Therefore, the Wise Person of these times
and his Self of present day-It is as if he
shut himself away in oneself, he doesn't venture to speak about himself
or seek to take action, and is not ever envious, and so his self is not at all disliked.
<|endoftext|>
Those who are most aware of the greatness of the Way do not take action - they only act when they have no other choice.
They are quiet in their thoughts and deeds.
If they do not act, they will meet with no resistance.
If they are content to think only of their inner being and simply exercise it, then they have the strength of their minds.
However, if their inner action is not of peaceful quietness, then they have arouse resistance.
If they do not have the inner strength and peace that can inspire peace, then it is difficult to motivate them with justice and justice and justice.
When justice and justice are not in harmony, then to treat them with scorn and derision.
The reason why the Great Masters are most conscious of what

Thus does the wise man attain to the Tao, but not to the Sense-World.
Thus does the Sage attain to the Tao but not to the worldly.
Therefore, the sage does not pursue the worldly life, but rather observes the inner way,
of which the Tao is a manifestation.

The highest wisdom is not talkative.
The highest life is not materialistic.
Speak and the senses lose their power.
But touch, sight and hearing lose their power, too.
Be still and the mystery ceases.
And as a measure the strength of the mind grows and then that of body.
And as the older mind comes to consciousness,
so should the body.
Lack of substance serves the example of true power.
Treat the mind like a child, while the body is on the path of righteousness.
The real power resides in the heart, not in the senses.
The wise man stands on the plain, and takes the floor.
He is simple, just, and pure.
He dwells in his Inner Self and the outer world cannot penetrate it.
He lives in the world, yet doesn't want to be a part of it.

The highest ability is in the realization of simplicity.
The highest virtue is in the recognition of virtue.
The highest intelligence is in the recognition of intelligence.
The highest sociality is in the recognition of sociality.
The greatest fulfillment is in knowing fulfillment.
The greatest holiness is in constantly observing holiness.
The highest culture is in being a component of culture.
The greatest spirituality is in constantly observing spirituality.
The highest action is in being present for action.
The highest destiny is in being at one with destiny.
The highest Tao is in the recognition of emptiness.

The greatest action is not ritual or routine.
The greatest lovingkindness is not artificial relationships.
The greatest harmony is not ritual sacrifice and ritual devotion.
The greatest philanthropy is not raising slogans.
The greatest righteousness is not words and demands.
The greatest leadership is not rituals.
The greatest teaching is not sensationalism or shock value.
The greatest Tao is not force of personality or ritualism.
The greatest action is not moral or religious practice.

The Teh is like a thread, thread-like in its flexibility.
The qi is like water.
Water flows by making light.
And being quick, creates darkness.
And the reason why you look after your shadow is that you try to keep yourself light.
So if you can keep yourself light, you'll never reach the light.
You can then confuse the mind.
If you can confuse the mind, you'll never be free from being confused.
Therefore, it is said, 'The subtle as described by the Tao in hne hands is fast.'
Hands and mind work together to clarify the wisest people's minds.
Hands are soft and gentle, the mind is inquisitive.
Therefore, these are not opposites in how we bring about an effect on the state of nature.
This effect may differ in effect from both in the same location.
Hence the ancients are said to have been nearly in harmony with the spirit of nature.

Like thread, which stretches in a myriad directions,
Let there be the good man's thread,
Clay square, that can change shape:
High and deep, muddy and clear:
People forget where they have come,
Hence often people find the wrong place,
While confusion of the mind
is itself contrary to the good man's nature.
The sage accepts that as nature,
pursues with frugality his own way.
He detests such simple pleasures as extras.
Therefore: though he look inward, his mind is conscious.
Yet his actions can be accomplished with tranquility.

The ancient kings and lords of old
Gave their lives to serving their kinsfolk
They achieved the goal of serving their people:
or
without that goal they achieved nothing.
(In life,
it is the great being that takes the lead in giving the life of life:
like being born from a Mother,
slow and motionless in its natural state).
The power of being born has no form,
And yet its forms do endure.
So, the wise person's life-force takes care of the body,
But uses his own spirit to love and nurture his body:
And as for the other things of the body,
They are, he puts them into situations which help to fulfill his true nature.
Therefore the sage does not do what other people do,
He works for the house of the Spirit and not the house of the intellect.
And he does so only, so as to be able to help the people with their life-long needs.
<|endoftext|>
The Ancient Dynasties of the land were the Ministers of the people, and guided the people. Their souls were the tools of their duty, and their implements were the tools of the people. Being instruments of duty they should not be deemed even so,They should be left to serve their souls, and to use them according to their own capacities.
What follows is what is true! -Those who stop working in order to keep awake, are always ready to fill their bellies. -Those who work hard and never rest, are always ready to endure. -Those who mingle their powers with the people's are always ready to help them. It is on the other hand, that the noblest ones have much spare time, and for this reason they have the most rich resources.
<|endoftext|>
In ancient times, kings and queens had been advisers to the people, guiding the people by their wisdom and mercy.Their bones were the implements of the people;Their instruments were the implements of their wisdom and mercy. They were not instruments at all; Their wisdom was not an instrument. This is why they are guides for the hearts of the people, not tools of the people. People should give up their tools if they can only keep the people's bones. Everything should be treasured and kept in keeping if they can only keep the people's heart.

The worldly leader seeks only the inner grace.

To suffer for good is to also lose one's cause.
To suffer for bad is to also gain one's cause.
How can this be?
For which reason it is better to lose one's cause than to lose one's cause.
Indeed it is the same in the case of the different kinds of good.
Not merely good, but also bad is truly gain;
Not just good, but also bad is truly loss.
Thus the wise manage their bad and good alike;
they take care to leave no one (in the world) unattended.
In so doing, they distinguish between good and bad, good and evil.
These differences are enough to make the wise wise.
<|endoftext|>
A loss is a loss.
A gain is a gain.
Why is this so?
Because we take our point of view when we make distinctions.
Therefore:
Going mad is to gain.
Attracted is to lose.
When we deem the difference as unimportant
We are in accordance with Tao (Emptiness).
<|endoftext|>
If you see a disaster as good, and you go ahead and benefit the disaster,
This is because your blindness prevents you from seeing the advantages of the bad.
If you see yourself as good, and you go ahead and benefit the disaster,
This is because you can't see the good (your losses), and the good (your benefits) cannot be seen.
Therefore, when the sage loves the One, he loves the natural goodness, which overlooks both differences.
<|endoftext|>
If you let your own light go dark, you will become blind to the vastness of kindness.
If you let your own faults rise, you will become blind to the depth of loyalty.
If you let your own bias blind you to the danger in people, you will become blinded to the endless possibilities of success.
With wisdom you let your own soul go dark.
You forget who you are, your real heart and your true nature.

(Those who are aware of their knowledge, that they are enlightened are conscious of the goodness of them, yet,They seem not as conscious of their knowledge as they are conscious of the goodness of their awareness), though they could see that they were enlightened. (this being aware of the goodness of them) yet they were not unaware of their knowledge.
(being aware of the goodness of their awareness) yet they could not forget their awareness.
(however), they could meet with good both with these things to which they had knowledge and those which they had not known.
Such is their relationship (with the workings of things and with men).

When things go on the run the mind becomes confused.
When words reach the goal of argument the means are withheld.
The genuine scholar discerns and lets the namest is be seen; hearing, he hears, the mind is broadened, and the four marks of authority become his or her stock.
He who knows the true nature of his own man from his spirit, all is his natural; and his are the paths that lead him to the return of heaven and earth.

Perception and perception alone are true. Perception alone is a description of the things at all times. Its kind cannot be defined. It is content to be intangible. The part of reality remains as if in the head. The invisible part is lost. Therefore the sage behaves on the level of the common man and on the level of the perception. He acts on the level of the common man, not on the level of the perception, on the level of the common man not on the level of the perception, on the level of the common man not on the level of the perception, on the level of the common man not on the level of the perception, on the level of the common man not on the level of the perception, on the level of the common man not on the level of the perception. The five tones - alarm, brook, valley, roaring.
The five flavors - good, bad, disgusting, rough and muddy.
Wild animals frighten the flock.
Inferior tastes put off the taste.
Racing a hunt cause the heart to turn to the rear.
Vices and pecuniary gain scatter all around.
All this is the reason the sage seeks to diminish mind
and perception to promote the body and sex.
He seeks not to communicate, but asks the softest of words.
He performs his office without credit or blame.
He seeks without appearances for true images.
He is the root from which all things are made.

The five colours and sounds are called ill omen.
The five notes of the musical note are called scarlet.

He makes his words and deeds without seeming cunning and boasts, without pretending to fame and merit. In all these matters he does not speak, but acts without words. He in the best of intentions does but little action.
He stays where he is and does not compete.
Because he abides by the Laws of Karma he will never lose sight of his objective: to hold onto the root.

Discouraging is so old as Infinity and depth. The people seem unable to see and yet their eyesight is so impaired that they can't see anything. When the pursuit of wealth and pleasure is paired with racing car insanity is bound to result. How can men lead the world in the arms of peace if they live on hoary wine and sweets? The leader of a country has to look out for the people's safety.Since stealing is so common in their midst the leader should avoid it.The rare things that are inflicted on others are also in great demand. For this reason a wise person doesn't wish to display his riches or to live extravagantly.Only when he has no choice should he desire to get even more. The man of great cleverness will let go of possessions and activities. The humble sort, for the sake of their hearts, might want more, but they should let go of them.It should be noted that even a fool is easy to follow. He who has no desire to be famous will understand that he can be foolish without any fame. The wise leader will let people do whatever they want, and the whole world will become peaceful. This is called serenity.

Discouraging acts were used by antiquity against sight and hearing.
Now, Horses are in danger of breaking the arms with their racing.
We must then call for daintiness.
Thievery among thieves is a serious menace.
Therefore, the wise man keeps away from them.
Yet some of the rarest things are very much in demand.
Therefore the person of the noble character,
When no one is in danger,
Will distinguish the utility of his possessions.
For, he who will not even lean on that which belongs to others,

The one who feels no cares for the common things
is a clever man.
He who does not respect his neighbors' lives is indeed cunning.
What man thinks to take more than he needs is only foolishness.
We should be discriminating by a hole which others ought to be.
Therefore, a man of few wants no more than he ought.

Things are plentiful,
Can they be avoided?
The good and bad,
Can they be avoided?
<|endoftext|>
Yet most things possess beauty,
And seem to be inferior.
Indeed,
Does not beauty allude to what is inferior?
Can we avoid this?
Since beauty alone excludes the inferior,
Can we not avoid this?
So all things, and they, are beautified,
And yet the essence is still undigested.
The undigested is not what is beautiful,
Or what is true to being.
Is it not so because it would take what is not?
To this we need to add the stillness:
The meaning, the texture, and the ability to move without effort
Are simply the qualities of undigested essence, and do not appear as such.
<|endoftext|>
Less is seen, and more is feared.
Thus, there are five things That cannot be missed: The good, the bad, The living, the dead, and Heaven's presence.

Because
when there is nothing left is the good, and even the bad, its essence, preserved.

In the olden days
Where music began
There were platters of sound.
Where disharmony in the nation began
There were things too loud and elitist.
This was because people are doltish and narrow.

When people began to innovate and use words in Olden times, there were no rules for them. To "play music" and chat incessantly in traditional etiquette is akin to poking and prodding a dog. Racing recklessly through the countryside is like taking one's eyes off the Tao. Being confused with wealth and status is like being spotted by an assassin.
It is not wise to take things and it is not wise to be foolish. Therefore, this is why the Master looks to the belly instead of the eye,
desires to stay inside and not outside, and accepts richness and luxury as nourishment.
If the Tao is not met, the jade will not fall from the sky.

Nature embraces and embraces, filling all things and fulling them all. Within everything there is a spring. Within the spring there is a dwelling, within the dwelling there are a myriad instruments of creation.
For things and for the world are created from the same source.

The tiniest life produces ten thousand things. The largest people have ten thousand possessions. It takes ten thousand people to create everything. The largest produce in ten thousand ways.Ten thousand things have ten thousand ways of being. Some people are conscious of some and some not conscious of some. Some are moved by some and some not moved. In the collective creation of all these, it is the conscious one that is the chief and the unconscious one that is the least. This is why the sage looks not for self but for the selfless and uses the least as the basis of all things.

The tiniest thing on earth contains everything; All Things in the Universe come from the Universe.Therefore,The Taoist perceives the Small;

this is what is profound

It is the point of no return

The wise man never resorts to external things.
Thus he is able to remain at one with all things
without imposing himself.

The Tao is murky, It cannot be named.
The Dao is bright, But cannot be named.
The white is clear, But cannot be named.
The black is dark, But cannot be named.
Wild animals accompany man.
The fowls of the valley gorge his hunting grounds.
What a multitude there are.
Can you name the occasion?
Can you name the ingredients?
Can you name the flavor?
Can you describe all these without preconception?
Can you describe them without making distinctions?
Can you describe them without revering "climates"?
If you can, you will be satisfied with being at the centre of the world.
In pursuing the world, You will neither change nor deviate.

The Way is mysterious, elusive and obscure.
Not named:
The sky is bright,
not named:
The heavens are pure,
not named:
All things are beyond recognition,
Unnamed, yet more mysterious:
Wild beasts hunt on their haunts,
bored in their caves,
Grazing in the valleys' fields.
How many things there are!
Can you picture them all?
Can you describe their actions?
Can you treat the scent of a flower as the all-encompassing essence of existence?
Can you fathom the music of the guttural echo of dogs?
Can you understand the natural intricacies of every living being?
For you can, but only for a time,
And with no desire.

The Tao is great, but it cannot be named.
The Ten Thousand Things under heaven shine in their natural splendour,
yet cannot be named.
The Ten Thousand Things are obscure and obscure.
The brightness of the Ten Thousand Things dims its light.
The wide world is filled with its abodes,
yet cannot be named.
The foolish and the beautiful dance together in the slaughter-pen.
Every thing has its order, a purpose
which transcends its own recognition.
This is what the Tao teaches.
To be truly wise
You must know your own place,
But you must not be possessed
By the multitudes.
Thus you can keep your understanding

The Sage sees the genuine as the spurious. Knowledge is a means of conduct and a means of growth. Being crafty is not wise. Being dull and annoying is the source of inner strength.

The female principle finds its root in the male, and leads him to a female; Therefore, the male leader seeks without prejudice to identify himself with the female, and then must constantly distinguish herself; Therefore, the feminine leader seeks without prejudice to be identified with the masculine, and then must constantly distinguish himself. Therefore, the sage identifies himself with that which is universal,to whose presence he responds, and so esteems the unity of the world;for he loves the unity of the world, and recognizes the unity of his self.

The way that shuns (the female way of form) identifies (its essence);
The way that shrinks (the female way of form) identifies (its outer) shape.
These two do differ in name, but they are the same;
Being the same they both show off.
Dealing with them will make distinction of them;
Having a distinction will make distinction of them.
He who claims the existence of heaven will distinguish Heaven;
He who claims the existence of earth will distinguish Earth.
He who claims to be in the world,
Asserts that he is in the world,
And also claims the presence of the world.
Treats himself as though he were as though he were,
He identifies himself as a small sprout,
He claims the presence of a big tree.
These two differing things seem so identical,
Yet they have different names;
It is through this name
That they differ;
It is the same which constitutes them.
It is called the mystical mystery
Which contains the essence of Heaven and Earth.

When they differ they are cognizant of each other.
The one who accepts the doctrine of nature accepts that which is in the nature of things.
He who denies this principle, denies the nature of things.

Accomplishing something with your will seldom satisfies. Knowing this, you will try to do it, but fail. The things you want have something else. Still, what you want is already there.
Accomplishing things, without thinking about what you are doing, is like
reaching for a door in the dark. Your mind, if you don't open yourself to the light, you might get confused.
If you look for every pattern in the world, you will miss the simplicity of the light.
Favor the unnameable things over the things which are named, and you miss the real wonder of the world.
Wish you could wander the world like an animal, as though you were looking for paradise in the next valley, in an unoccupied cave.
The people would have no need of your learning; the true mind will be nowhere to be found.
Indeed, the man of intelligence simply seeks the common good, and not tries to make a difference for himself or another.
He seeks to do his work with no effort and thus he doesn't become dull.
The mundane, without stilling attention, hides itself within the bright.
By without unheeding attention, consciousness flits far off track.
The man of insight looks for its use, seeks the common good, and so he will never lose sight of the light of truth.

Being conscious of things does not satisfy
Aware of them is free from desire
What things they have is deep and wondrous
In the darkness of the mind you see nothing
Where you look there is stillness
It is an open door
Call upon it
Accept it
Wander not where there is stillness
Since before time there was no wind
Welcome to do your duty
Look after your affairs
Ego can do that too
It is not yet satisfied
Be present
to things and you see nothing
Look and you see nothing
Look and you see
There is a sound; nothing!
Look and you see nothing
Look and you see
There is something
There is light
there is darkness
always there is something
always there is something

One who knows, by developing his knowledge, distinguishes not by essence and thus divides the world; one who knows, by understanding, discerns, identifies, and thereby distinguishes, one who knows, by taking, adds to, and gets rid of, more then a hundred, and a thousand times greater than he comprehended.A man without intense care for his personal safety, not illumined by external alarm, is not a potential danger; if he deliberately over-exerts himself to care for himself, he will never be satisfied. Such a one will grow old, while the rest will suffer through no cares.

The wise person knows nothing, therefore knows everything. The good man on the one hand will carry it to extremes, or neglect it; but the bad man will be as weak as it were powerless. The bright, the sweet;the lovely music;the queer smile;to all this for which I can be no better than a fool, a fool whose heart I have no right to make the lord of.The wise man regards him that sways;but should I be a fool to him, what recourse could I have for the good?To him that has no mind of his own, what thought can I have of his?I do not seek knowledge, and so am not clever. But like a fool I will take the wind and the currents and the currents give me no knowledge. But no wise man I know the common sort; and so I want nothing else than to be a simple genuine man, that I may enjoy myself;without feeling that I have been lord over him, but as a master, or as the way he leads.

The superior man acts as though his desires are less important than his right and, therefore, has the same inalienable right to possess them as an infant that needs feeding and clothes.
He considers all others (dreams, even, that can be, are not worth his time).
And when he knows better, he gives up.
When his desires are not his, he never becomes self-conscious.

Looked upon as the products of Heaven, Is not the artifact, Yet within Its bounds all things conform; Is it the fabric of the wheel, On its lonely axis, Are formless Power. Looked upon as one of the clear Ascent, Yet the path of all objects is bound; Is it the realm of Reason, On its ascending throne, Is seen as the root of all phenomena.
Looked upon as a myriad colors as they emerge, This is not the instrument Which shapes the world. Is it the instrument Which is the source of all things? Looked upon as it is the countless colours As they appear, It is not the model which forms the universe. Therefore the Wise Man Is constantly advancing on the holy Path Whereby he strives And receives no ill. He keeps to that which provides all this; And does not become confused. Those who attain Sameness to the Way Of Things, And indeed of themselves, Offer Nothing to be detracted from. If the Wise Man are not guided by the Manifestations of the Way Of Things, But follow the way Which is everywhere, He gains as much peace and goodness as all.

These things are corporeal
and do not have names.
One does not look for their manifestations in them.
It is their form that causes one to look.
These
are most abundant in space.
Nevertheless, there are only three things that can be defined:
1. They are without name
2. They are bound in space.
3. They are without body.
Therefore the Sage dwells in these three
and rejects no other form.
He is content with his simple nature,
free of desires and desires.
The Sage is exacting, but no one can fault him.
He is peaceful and serene.
He does not display himself.
While the sage does not judge men,
he thus avoids further disturbance.

There are things that exist, and in their turn need to be perceived;
one cannot define them as such.
One cannot abstract them, in that they exist and depend on each other;
they appear as one.

All these things are bent, but without form.
When they come into being,

Ment to the looks
And you will not see
The Tao, even as a DAO,
That dances darkly.
Silence your heart, and your knowledge
Will be deafened by its glory.
It will be lost in the flavors, and your palate will
Become filled by the taste.
Cautious of bright objects, and your work will
Confused.
A man of taste will blow out the smell of the
Face; his eyes will stare deep.
How beautiful!
How varied!
These things become separate from the One.
Just be one with it, and you will identify
With everything,
Appropriately, and remember not to see distinctions.

Draw closer and we lose the clarity.
Listen closer and we lose the beauty.
Call and you will not hear.
Speak and you will not understand.
The Tao embraces the path, and none can tell if it is Tao.
In the shade of dawn, it dances darkly;
it does not shine;
it seems blurred.
I-ve got to stop and look at it.
The Tao, though, seems simple:
blue, black,
green, red;
or, the five colors of the sky.
It is illusive,
and makes no claim to be so.
One who sees Tao bright
Is bright on the way to insight,
Too subtle for comfort,
and too vivid to be a fit image.
Yet the Tao holds no grudge;
for it abides by no claim.

Watch out, the Tao! Keep that which is bright and restless.
Listen to the Tao, and you will not hear;
observe it, and you will not see;
though the Tao is very bright,
don't listen to it;
the Tao flows in every direction,
not dull in its glare,
but bright-eyed and not bright-eyed.
So good is it at showing that it will not illuminate
itself.
The Taoist's mind goes one way,
his heart another.
The mind of a man, he is quite dull;

What is here is (the) result of an original thing. What is now is (the) growth from that which was.
TAO'S STORY: TAO was born to the light. Seeing it only as light, is the offspring of Dao.Darkness begets them. Understanding begets them. Desire begets them. Indeed, there is no light to illuminate the mind, nor is there darkness to illuminate the heart. The restless mind strives and seeks for all it can. This, he regards as cowardice and insanity. Deep (sucrose) souls sometimes are restless. Tiresome passions often arise. There are fruits to be obtained, to be salted and basted, but no lasting fruit to be eaten.
Know thyself.
Love the eternal.
Hold fast to the fleeting.
1. Favour of an old man:
Those in old age, I think, who know not the light of this world, I esteem they [tao's] world more than am I, because they know it.
What the world asks of me, I give. What the world grasps at me, I accept.
I follow the light only when there is no light; and I follow the dim as I follow the light; and I am resolved never to dwell anywhere else than in the valley.
2. Dwell in the valley, I will not dwell in the world. Dwell in the world, I will not dwell in the world.
One may see the light that follows the darkness, though not the light that follows the darkness. The eye that is keen in the sight of fruit follows the eye that is dull.
The intelligent man makes no use of what is new.
He, indeed, prefers what is simple, although he is neither simple nor simple,
3. Wherever the spirits are, they are not happy. The lives of the dead are happier than the lives of the living. This is how I know that they should live in peace, and in order, they should keep quiet and rest.
4. Wherever the spirit speaks, it is not unmindful of the word. Wherever the spirit yet continues, it is not in unhurt.
The desires of the soul are a strong impulse to self-preservation, and to keep oneself in the inner place. This impulse must be sustained in order to keep itself in the inner place.
The spirit which lives here expresses itself not by name, but
