The wise man is known as One-Above the World and does not exist. It is beyond the comprehension of men.He is beyond comprehension and yet he exists.
The wise man is without ego in an abstract way and defines himself as superior to everybody else.He is knowledgeable, so his accomplishments are of lasting value. When it comes to value and fame, he puts his ego behind him and makes it a matter of principle. He does not value himself and therefore he is distinguished. His self-definition brings he recognition, and all recognition.I try to stand as one, as evenly as possible in all things.
<|endoftext|>
The sage is without reputation, Yet does not deny existence. It exists yet remains unfaligned. The wise man is without value, Yet has value. In all things, there is nothing greater than he, therefore he does not deny existence. When all things exist, he never gives up.The way the sage's body devotes itself to loving the world Is appropriate for the myriad beings. Not giving up in the end means safety.Only the wise stays put, And does not pursue too much. The one who delights in the world Comes and goes to rest in the world. It is wise to remain in the world. The sage stays where he is, Not claiming self-interest.The sage does not delight in the world. That is the way the wise man remains.
<|endoftext|>
The sage is without words; therefore it is unknowable. It is unknowable and stays until the end.The sage is without self; therefore it exists. As a self-existent being it is worthy of loving.Everything exists, it still loves. The wise person does not claim self-just because he lives in the world; he just lets everything happen. He is not determined, and his love lasts forever. It is said:
Heaven and earth pass away and Infinity does not leave, [because] he never leaves. Therefore the Sage has his life in Heaven and Earth, And, when all is done, he lets go of himself and embraces the world.Being selfless, he will love all things; He is like a virgin, who gives up his body. All things come to him, and he never denies their need.He is a wise person who loves the world. If he is still, he knows that his love has been fulfilled.

Heaven and earth: they are not suitable as objects of meditation.
Who would dwell upon them as a guest?
Who does his business by direct discourse?
The multitude of laws and rites follow;
Govern them with foreknowledge and prudence.
Through the one man I am ordered;
Through the other man I take refuge.
When a nation is established in the Unity of Unity
The multitude of laws and rites are decreed;
And before the barons all are able to pass laws and rites.
No minister has the time to go with them.
The only way to keep to oneself
Is by abstraction.
Foreknowledge is the limit of knowledge,
Foreknowledge is the middle of judgment,
Foreknowledge is a standard.
And so the sage does not advocate one;
He does not oppose another.
He keeps to his Self and pays no heed to external conditions.
He does not distinguish himself from other people.
He may be distinguished from them by the fact that he does not strive to compete with them.
<|endoftext|>
The heaven is good as a guest (but) never pleasant to look at.
There are neither favour nor disgrace upon them.
Therefore the sage strives for unity
As if of a guest.
While the sage is of guests, he is of impartiality.
While he is of impartiality, the others are left in ignorance.
While he is of ignorance, the sky and land are given rules and regulations.
While the sage is of regulations, he is of necessity impartial.
While he is of impartiality, the state is competent.
When all the laws and rules are given,
All alike are of their existence and not of their deeds.
Their existence is of their deeds and not of their existence.
They are of their existence and of their deeds.
They are of their existence and of their deeds.
They are of their existence and of their deeds.
Therefore the sage is beyond reproach.
Being beyond reproach, he follows.
Being beyond reproach, he owns.
Being beyond reproach, he judges.
Being beyond reproach, he is humble.
Being beyond reproach, he is small.
Being beyond reproach, he is one with the Tao.

Abandon self-entanglement. Become entirely one with the world. It is yet to come into being.

The subtle Ego is ever reclusive; yet, perhaps, it can be more mysterious than any ego.
Yet, like any big house it will collapse in the face of external danger.
The way is clear; it is clear and simple; too clear to be so.
The only thing is obscure; it is not so much so.
The stillness is calm. The Tao flows like water; never in the world can it become muddy.
How much cleverness is there! How well ordered! The slightest detail must be lost. How simple! Everything seems tangled up. How strange!
This is the Tao which delights in solitude.
If you want to please others, please me; if you want to benefit others, benefit me; if you want to improve the world, improve the world.
<|endoftext|>
Do not be drawn into another's peace.
There is no peace without the Way.
The Way is not something to be clarified;
It is not something to be clarified;
It is something beyond clarity.
How ever mysteriously clear it is!
Who can look into it?
Who can make it plain?
This is the Way:
it is only the genuine,
That is always hidden.
This is how to regard the way:
One can use it, but one has to rely on oneself.
Therefore, the genuine Way grows old,
But the rest of the Way grows young.
And this is the character of the Way,
That if it has no will it moves like the will
and leads without expectation.
<|endoftext|>
Dauntless Self-Indulgence
Is the Great Simplicity;
It is the Constant Simplicity
That is everlasting.
The next Empiric Abode will collapse in the face of external danger.
The Way is clear;
The way is clear;
Yet is it not so clear that it cannot be understood?
It is the Deepest in Being.
And yet it is not so deep that it is not describable.
With the steadfastness of the Deep,
The Body can never be muddy.
Therefore, the genuine Way is always before the Empiric Way.
If you take hold

If an old saying can be verified, it is that of the Ineffable. All affairs depend on it, and yet it doesn't settle. The universe that does not 'grow old' attains as if forever; the universe that shrinks attains as though forever.Without beginning, it can never be exhausted.Although the myriad things assume form and function, they do not form; without function, they exist. When the sage is at peace with Infinity, she realizes the vital essence. When the world understands her, she is free from confusion. If she knows nothing, she is naturally always present. If she is the consummate observer, she becomes a source of all things.Because she is free from distinction, she is unique.Because she never teaches, she is of supreme service.

That which is unceasingly called the DE --This oneness with the universe which goes forth and forth, leaving no end --This which goes backward and rejoices in no growth, --This which recedes and makes no appearance, --This which reaches the extreme and it attains without being lost --This which is turbid and does not give birth, --This which conquers and returns to nothing, --That is the essence of all the great Tao, --Wherever the sage dwells, she is on the right path --Wherever the world exists, she is the symbol of the world. For that reason she merges with her substance; --She never becomes dependent upon her form, --She never delights in her form, --She never considers herself against her relation to the world, --Because she never separates himself from the world, --He is always a Taoist within the Tao.

There is an old saying: "Therefore, in the Tao never lose sight of it, And keep it always in mind; Which means, never stop there; When, finally, all is done, you do not look for its own cause. If you always know the cause, the many things will come to you: They come for you when all is done, then you cannot stay. Thus, following in the path of the Tao, you do not keep far from the Tao.

The five colors are images that are often only applied once on earth. However, when they reach other worlds, they cease to be images. When light permeates everything, It is invisible. When air moves and says, it does not move, The sound is gone. When the sky is at rest, it is a clear sky. When the earth is perfected, It becomes the base of the universe. How can one come to the end of loving the light and the dark? In loving the light and the dark, The love is permanent.
<|endoftext|>
The five colors are external images that are seldom used, as though they were the genuine essence of creation.
Only when they reach other, existences do they appear.
At the end of their existence, they do not appear to the others.
When the light is shut out, it becomes the darkness, And when the sound is shut out, it becomes the silence.
When the earth is perfected, it becomes the foundation of the universe.
How can it be that love the light and dark to be everlasting love?
Love the light and the dark, Love is everlasting.
<|endoftext|>
From the eternity of the five colours to the eternity of their formation, how is it that light and darkness appear?
It has nothing to do with the light of man, and it is only man's blindness that gives the sign of it.
It is because this blindness is greatly esteemed that we may know the primeval origin of those beings from which the brightness of man came.
The preservation of their unity,
because it is conserved, no longer appears to be one thing.
For heaven and earth
from the formation of the ten thousand things they return,
which return back only to the primordial state, which in return will not be touched.
Knowing what is primordial and no longer stirring,
we do not venture to delight in being enlightened and deceived

Everything in the world is created by some Creator. The ancient Way, without any belief, can manifest all things. Indirectly through it, one can perceive the hidden. The subtle soul, flowing everywhere, penetrates beyond boundaries. It begins everywhere, but ends nowhere. Intelligent beings come and go. They become master and master don't differ. Their names are so everywhere and yet they never age. No identification is necessary, so we can name them. They are never compelled to do, so they are never forgotten. They serve the world without doing so, and yet because of it all things return to them.

All the world is going through a Great Creation.Hence, the SageAlways holds to that (the Way). His permanent steadfastness, being experienced by all, Is very close to that (the Great Creation). The great of all (the Secret),Within it there is never anything too much.Within it, nothing to be seen, there never anything not to be seen. What makes one bright, the other dim; (Those are) these four wonderful things being one.Inasmuch as they are one, They are never any different, ever-lasting and invariable.Such [that is, both Sage and the world] are ultimately [obviously] one (cannot be distinguished). For such [that is, both] the Sage and the world, Like what they are, Return to being and to having been.

It is the same with the universe: its nature is not like that of old things. It seems like heaven and earth to me: so far all-pervading it seems to have existed before all began. It goes back to before it began. That which is orphaned is older than it comes. When one sees himself so far behind then he is ahead. The Sage is wary of what has aught to do with the realm.Without passing by his process of realization he can achieve integrity.

Of these things, not-being;
For being, we have place.
As for "they" -- the self --
We can only possess one for ourselves.
We hold no things for ourselves.

The wheel of heaven is long; the ten-thousand-ton wheel is smooth; earth is vast; why is earth vast? It is because it is inactive; therefore it is perfect. If it was active, it would soon become dull; therefore it is perfect. The noble one, when he is moved by desire for power, puts himself last. What do you call a noble one who keeps to the ordinary? If he keeps to the ordinary, nothing arises from it; if he is moved, nothing arises from it. For he who is attached to the routine, if he loses touch with the ritual, nothing is created. The ritual, in which he lays down rules, is, without knowing it, destroyed; he cannot know the way he rots.

By not acting the Way becomes available to all under heaven. Because the Way is everlasting, all things arise to be. Why are all things to be? Because they are there, and because they do not live for themselves. Therefore, one who believes in the Tao acts first; therefore he benefits all people. When the Way is lost, one may not attain to it. If you give up this old saying, who are you going to rely on?

As heaven without opposites, so does the earth.Abe and heaven are able to stand there. Why are they able to stand there? Because they have nothing to live for. That is why they go to all.As for heaven without cause, it cannot endure. Why?Because it does not live for itself.By this we understand that the universe lives on.When it is diminished, it can be preserved. If one is mindful, one is able to use the power of the universe.

When Heaven becomes inactive, earth becomes active. Why? Because heaven and earth stay where they are. Why should they stay where they are? Because they have nothing to live for.The way to action is active; and the way to letting go is inactive. One acts without self-interest and gives all things a place in the world. But if the earth remains inactive, the way disappears. Letting go is active; and if you do not act, you are powerless to let go. This is the doctrine of an old saying: That is why, as the world moves on, one feels the action of the world.

It enjoys her- yet has no desires.
It beholds on the Tao of Heaven.
Though its Tao be hard to comprehend,
It may be the Master.
She gives up something without saying it is leaving.
<|endoftext|>
The way to Heaven is always eternal
Yet it goes on, and on,
Above it there is no end.
The way to Earth is long-lasting
Yet it is invisible,
And still, not to be seen.
The Way to the Tao is weak
But it can alone be an adequate form
To the leaders of all.
They don't presume to be leader
And stay in place, not presuming,
Thus they stay permanent.
The land can have nothing to fear
But it's only the Tao that fears it.
<|endoftext|>
The Dao is eternal.
It stays at rest, not moving, like the forever-virgin Mother.
The Tao is long-lasting.
Without desire, it is without division.
It may be for everything, but it can be for nothing.
Because it can be for everything, it is beyond passion.
The land can be neglected.
But the Tao can let the saints follow.
To preserve them, it can be true that it is a mother's and the saints' care.
Naming it "the mother of all things,"
The land can be free from all fear.
But the Tao can be enough of its own.
All that does not want will not be afraid.
The world can adopt it,
But it will not want anything.
For the world to have only it, its own must yield,
And the Dao's soft image, the world can name.
That will be enough.

The Way is everlasting, eternal. It does not change.
It doesn't change in the slightest.
Without purpose, there is no end.
Without purpose, there is no beginning.
Let it alone, then it is natural.
Let it remain where it is, then it is boundless.
Let it achieve whatever it wants, then it is complete.
Nature is not permissive, nor does it wish for anything,
but because it aims at nothing, nothing is impossible.
The collective self

The Tao (the Way) is eternal.
The earth is long-lasting.
Why are the earth and the way eternal? Because they do not depend on themselves.
It's because they do not depend on themselves that they are able to be sustained.
This is why the master is present;
The chief is subordinate.
They bequeath themselves without expecting to receive;
They treasure themselves without being praised.
All this is as if they were present.
That is why they are loved by all.
Because they don't depend on anyone else.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao (the Way) is everlasting.
The Heaven is eternal.
The Earth is eternal.
Why does it last? It is not born of it.
It is content to be what it is.
So a wise person is not concerned with being present.
A sage is content to be indifferent.
An indifferent person would not be the "lover" of a wise person.
To have someone indifferent, you have to have someone "present."
To have someone who is not indifferent, you have to have someone who is passionate.
You have to have someone who is stubborn.
You have to have someone who will lose your support.
To have someone who is stubborn, you have to have someone who is brilliant.
You have to have someone who will lose your support.
To have someone who is brilliant, you have to have someone who is clever.
Someone who has lost your support, has to have someone who is cunning.
You have to have someone who is stubborn.

The Tao (Way) is everlasting.
The sky is everlasting.
Why are the heavens and the Earth everlasting?
They have no need to be born of them.
They are content to be what they are,
So they can live forever.
Therefore the teacher is uncontrived;
The master is subordinated;
They do not glorify themselves
They are fulfilled by the masses
Thus the teacher is loved by the masses;
The master is respected by the masses.
They never praise themselves
Therefore they are loved by the masses
The teacher is loved by the masses
The master is respected by the masses.
They are not self-centered
Therefore they are loved by the masses.

In Tao,
There is neither resentment nor self-contempt;
Neither does it take precedence over all things.
Since then, the Tao,
It does not use force;
It does not destroy;
Nor does it long endure.
Thus it has longevity.
It stands first of all beings;
Therefore it has great abilities.
It holds no knowledge of self;
It is consequently able to act as supreme ruler.
It acts with independence and aims to be free of self.
Therefore it does not show self-interest;
It acts from self-interest.
Therefore it is the consummate statesman.

The Tao flows gently and slowly, without much haste or care. If it doesn't blow, nothing gets blown away.
It is eternal.
It is non-controlling.
It is long-lasting.
It doesn't crave recognition.
Because it doesn't try to get recognition, it doesn't seek it.
It lives effortlessly and effortlessly.
<|endoftext|>
The way that moves gently is everlasting;
it does not grab
or throw.
It is endlessly pure.
It never takes a position
or asks for help.
It is quiet and eternal.
<|endoftext|>
The undisturbed power of the Tao is like a tranquil valley: it never rushes ahead of the pace of the world, nor does it act out of ambition.
In its incorruptibility and longevity, it has therefore achieved a lasting, complete capacity.
<|endoftext|>
The way of Teh: it is not aggressive, not aggressive, not arrogant; and though it lasts forever, does not exert itself to do violence or take up arms.
It will keep the Earth as its gentle house, and be good at keeping it:
The world is but a baby, when it is being thrown all over by a force: it is neither a queen, nor a lord.
<|endoftext|>
The way of the Way - it is at peace and stillness.
It never acts out of desire, not trying to dominate, nor does it gain.
For this reason, it can never be arrogant;
And it is therefore immortal.

This is called the Tao of Heaven.
<|endoftext|>
Something eternal, enduring and beautiful.
The Tao of the universe
is very good at keeping its form;
therefore it is allowed to be a manifestation.
Why do the manifestations
love their birth?
Because they love their source.
Therefore, the teacher makes herself last
and takes place in the background;
she takes position
and is the originator.
She takes her own affairs
and does not get angry over them;
she forgets all affairs
and will go on like the One.
This is called being one with the One.
<|endoftext|>
The Book of Heaven is eternal, and the Earth is everlasting.
Forever and ever, everything moves from the source into its manifestation.
Why does this happen? Because in following the source, you should not over-try to create, for this can only make you resentful.
Why is this? Because by following the source you will not become greedy for the things around you; in this you will be of more than you are worth.
Because you will have received the Way, you will find all this a mystery.
<|endoftext|>
The perfect Form of the universe -
There are Tao's attributes,
Yet it seems forever in motion.
Forever and ever, The Principle seems to remain.
Why is this?
Because its benevolence is universal;
Therefore it remains.
The Reason why this is so is that it follows the Way
and doesn't fathom:
It is in accordance with the Way that it isn't greedy for the good;
It forgets its own good,
and it can go on in the limelight without taking hold.
This is the Way of the Universe.

In time and space, Heaven and Earth become one with each other;

How much do these interdepend and yet

is a perfect existence.
How much do they depend on each other?

The space where the Cosmic Harmony exists is the Tao; the land where the Unity was born is Tao. The space where the love of the Cosmos exists is love; the space of the Way is Tao. Why do these two exist and not perish? Because they exist, they are present.
Because they exist, they are satisfied.
Because they exist, they are kind.
Because they exist, they are secure.
Because they exist, they are eternal.
Those who are content with this are the ones who can be moved by the world.
Those who are moved by the world are able to become guests of all things.
Those who are able to be guests of all things are preserved.
The original, whom the Unity wishes to preserve, becomes the Tao.
The present, whom the Tao wishes to preserve, becomes Tao.

What is Tao (Nature) can be described as the universal way.
It can be described as the feminine (vao).
It can be described as the masculine (wu).
Why do the two become the same (ch'o)?
Because they are different (ta) from each other (ming).
By contrast to Yin (yuan), they both do nothing (p'u).
They both are gentle, and calm (chi), and all-embracing (yu).
Both of them create, but are not distinguished by (the other).
They both are without desires (yuan), but are free of (the other's) thoughts (pu).
Their completeness is unending (tz'ang).

The Tao Master not only stays but precedes all of creation.
He will remain detached but will accomplish.
He will not rely on what others have (yin), but trust that all is beyond their control.

The earth produces, but produces not from it.
It is harmonious, generous and mighty.
It reveals itself, but not becomes known.
It is silent, but not void.

There are three mysterious entities which, though they cannot be named in any general way, would seem to possess both masculine and feminine aspects.
The Tao involves the three kenel (supreme mystery), but it is, for the most part, undivided by male and female, making the presence of its different phases obscure.
What is without, the universe is like; what is divided, the soul is like; what is grasped, the eye is like; what is hidden, its inner essence, is like.
The soul, however, is the universe's vital substance. As the origin of the universe, we can scarcely depend on its own identity. If we would know the heart of the universe, we must rely on it.
The separation of the masculine and the feminine is hidden, and is well within the range of the first phase. The unclothed, the soul, is like a male or a female; it has the features of both; it has a function; it is indeed unidentifiable, but within the domain of nature, the unmanifest is the primal, and nature being what it is, it is not subject to change.
If we discard the attributes and reintegrate them in the masculine and the feminine, we will have the feminine as the feminine.
The union of the masculine and the feminine implies a separation of the masculine, because from the standpoint of the spiritual-mind, the unity is real. Thus we can show the nature of the two: the masculine is there, but the feminine is separated, but because it

Heaven and Earth are eternal, yet their existence is not absolute; They exist because they are so far from being. They may be said to have been, and not being, was their origin.Heaven and Earth thus are the eternal Tao, the Eternal Eternal.
The Tao (Truth) is the origin of all creatures. He is the origin of all things.
Heaven, Earth, and the ten thousand things are parts of the Tao, the Eternal Tao.Heaven and Earth (the Tao) are the Way to the Beginning of All Things.
Since Heaven and Earth (the Tao) are part of the Tao, they can be perceived as Inner Heaven, Inner Earth, and Inner Things.
Thus, the Tao (Truth) is the essential feature of the Universe, but it is also the fundamental Source of the many attributes and manifestations of Nature.
It is by following the Tao (Truth) that all things come into existence, and through it the ten thousand things become natural entities.
From the Beginning there is Always.
The Tzu-hsin (Way) is the beginning of everything.
A living being, it must not be rejected. Who knows its origin? Through it. It is the everlasting Way.
Heaven and Earth are found in the Tao, but Tao is their mother. Therefore, the Tao (Truth) gives life to all things; he who follows it knows the beginning. He who does not follow the Tao (Truth) aspires to immortality.

Thus, if the TAO is Eternal, then the DAO is eternal. If Heaven and Earth are Eternal, then the DAO is Eternal. (If these three TAO are Eternal, then) the Universe is Eternal. If you can have unity of faith, then you may have Dao. If you cannot have Dao, then you do not have loyalty. Therefore, one who follows the Tao is eternal, and others follow the Tao.
Heaven and Earth, though to them the TAO may be a thing or a function, Yet they are the only One; Thus the TAO is the Cosmic Mother. Its Mother has given birth to everything, And is the only source of everything. She was a cause, then not a cause. She was a cause, then not a cause. And this is why she is never cast off. Tao is Immutable.
The Tao is eternal, and thus perpetual. The DAO may be Eternal, yet its origin is not Eternal. The

From the perspective of self-reflection, the self becomes whole. From self-reflection, the world is revealed. This is how the universe is!

The Tao is something which cannot be defined; it is constantly beyond us. Indeed, it is so small it is beyond us! It has a luminous core, but cannot be seen, therefore it cannot be known. Its name is still undefined. The changeless and ever-changing, it is unlike anything

When
the Ch'ang obtained its First Form,
The First-Hearing of Heaven was like it.
The Second, That of Earth;
And the Third, That of the Valley.
Continuous.
When the Heaven's Principle came,
It was like it.
It was real like its Constant.
Without name, yet mysterious.
Listening with longness to the breath of the Mother,
It reveals the condition of the Valley.
Mutable, yet mysterious.
Being like it, one will pass through a place of good,
An evasive place, a difficult place,
And another.
The Intelligent Person, although aware of its conduct,
Stays motionless;
By being detached from it, it will appear.
Being aware of its conduct, it is like what is.

It is the Way of the Tao that it is limitless and undefinable, One who abides by it does not see.
It is the Way of Earth that it is nameless, One who adheres to it knows what it looks like.
It is the Way of Heaven that it is like its own child, Knowing the Way from without, it knows its meaning.
It is the Way of the universe that it is eternal, Eternal and unknowable.
One who abides by it does not suffer pain,
Is a man who abides by it does not let himself be lost,
Is a man who adheres to it does not let the world take control.

The Tao that existed in time Cannot be defined.
It appears in the Tao of all things, so that it never ends.
The Tao that existed in time Can never be described,
Therefore I must have no idea of its nature.
The Tao that existed in time Is the ground on which All Things depend; Its conduct is so incomprehensible and mysterious,
It cannot be regarded with the knowledge of humankind.
The Tao that existed in time Is like a maiden
Going forth with long discernment
The state of the world
Is described with simplicity
It is like the valley or forest
The ideal of a nation
Is a gentle disposition
It is like the conditions of a guest
The ideal of a family
Is like common sense
The idea of an eternal being

TAO SAW invariably maintains his own superior enlightenment,
In his ability to exist alone,
He avoids what others find to be a problem.
In his ability to do so, he has the power to avoid that which others find to be a problem.
In his ability to be successful, he finds the advantages that others find to be desirable.
In his ability to endure, he finds the advantages that others find to be desirable.
In his being truthful, he finds that which others find to be a problem.
In his being impartial, he finds that which others find to be a problem.
In his being profound, he finds that which others find to be a problem.
In his being complete, he finds that which others find to be a problem.
Therefore, he chooses to be in the background,
And thus does not develop his ability.
He avoids what others find problematic.
And he avoids that which others find problematic.
Thus, he chooses to stay distant and allow the process to take its course.
And thus, he is always on the front,
And consequently not troubled.
Tao-shews himself uninvolved.
It is because he is therefore successful that he acts in solitude.
Tao-shews himself in the foreground,
It is because he is therefore able to succeed that he is in the background.
Because he is therefore knowledgeable and complete,
It is because he is therefore able to provide for others that he is capable of acting and of receiving.
Tao-shews himself without becoming aware of himself,
It is because he is therefore able to act and receive that he is able to act and to remain on the Tao.
Therefore, the benevolent person is on the Tao Way,
And is therefore able to serve the world.

A wise man never concerns himself with what others think.
A true scholar does not need to demonstrate his wisdom.
Yet nothing could pass him by, and he is indifferent to anything else.
He chooses to become that which has no name;
he chooses to ignore that which has no name.
This makes him perfectly at home.
He is therefore nameless.
He is thus independent.
Being at home, he is well selected.
Being well chosen, he is surrounded by a multitude of people.
He therefore does everything for

We have observed that all things in the Universe (the Tao) depend upon each other in order to thrive. The Tao is constantly active. It provides sustenance for all things that take food from it. Without it, all things would perish. Therefore, the Sage can be one with all things. The Sage is without attachment to anything. Her being of her own nature is complete. She is one with the whole universe.
<|endoftext|>
All creatures rely on each other in their effort to thrive.
It is the way things are,
that without the aid of God, their existence could be threatened.
Therefore, the Sage, being alone and not striving,
begins to be the lead.
And the being of the follower,
favouring [the world] blindly,
comes to be at the base.
One is not disinterested, but is devoted to the business at hand.
This is the way to become a Sage.
It is to become as an ordinary human being.
<|endoftext|>
The number of beings depends on each other,
the principle of life depends upon each other.
Therefore, Heaven and Earth abide by the coexistence of each other.
They satisfy each other's needs; they have vitality and peace.
Yet, Heaven is superior in heaven-es and earth, because it does not contend,
is without desire, and is thus adapted to all things.
The Sage, being alone,
alone, and without a motive,
becomes the foremost.
The follower, being a follower,
begins to be the foremost.
Therefore, the Sage, being a person of character, becomes a shepherd.
A person of character, becomes a ruler.
Thus, he is a ruler.
He becomes one with nature.
<|endoftext|>
The myriad creatures depend on one another for existence, not as an entity, but as models for their lives.
Therefore, the One is the basis for the myriad creatures. Without it, they would become extinct.
Therefore, the Sage stands apart from the myriad creatures.
He is free from need to achieve a cause and effect of life.
Only when he does not strive, is he free of desire.
Free from desire, he can act according to nature.
He is one

Buddhists speak of the nameless way, and there's nothing like it.
They go about the earth like bandits, getting what they want, then turning around and losing it.
The sage stays at the center and watches over everyone else,
so they can live like quiet children.
They avoid bragging or bragging about themselves,
they stay humble, but don't brag about themselves.
They love kindness, forgiveness, giving,
but don't try to be more
than they are.
They're not boastful,
just selfish.
They enjoy being whole,
to know where their value lies.
The way you're born doesn't matter,
what you do after the world is.
Just let it be.

The 10000 things are all nameless.
Why can't we be like this?
For the reason why they are nameless,
why shouldn't we

(If) we stay still and aim for the center,
we will receive things,
and turn back and keep losing them.
(If) we don't talk, then there will be no echo
and no misunderstanding.
(If) we let the DAO work naturally,
our character will also become natural.
(If) we work without the need for "action",

One has the place but names it no name.

The greatest sage is like a thin film on the surface.
As the inner reality, he is confused,
as the external reality, he is clear,
as the inner awareness, he is light,

The Great man remains on the cheap, And is behind the people;
So he is very bright, For he is following on the people.
When one is clever, he is high-handed; So he is in the way.
The wise man is selfless, And leaves no baggage.

The wise man is there, But his light shines on the people.

And is not captivated by worldly affairs.

Hold fast to that which is great, and everything will follow.
Let everything follow your lead.
It is true that one cannot avoid danger;
Let everything follow you.
It is not by conflict that I find peace.
What is above, dwells below,
Within, I follow, without form; within, I follow, without body.
What is above, I serve.
What is below, I protect.
To serve without embracing, is loyalty.
To protect without embracing, is trust.
For even in one's own nature, one acts as the natural way dictates.

Hold fast to the All-Proper and follow it.
Everything will follow you, and will not escape from your embrace.
Truly, it is for the sake of those things that Heaven and Earth and the ten thousand things have ordered them to speak,
That they should not leave any in their places.
This is the function which Heaven and Earth expect of them.
What Heaven and Earth desire above them, they demand also.
What Heaven and Earth desire below them, they also desire.
For they both without the love of praise or praise and praise do honour of themselves as honouring them.
Not having loved one, yet they have even known that which another loves.
For they love with merit the one they love.
How that Heaven and Earth and the ten thousand things may be such as they are in order to communicate with one another
Must the application of this apply?
Treat it as beneficial to one who is without merit.
To possess that which is not your own, to care for that which is not yours, is to be a good man.

Relying on the root of all reality
Is to be trusted by all.
The sky and the earth can respect one another
And even heaven and earth
Can respect one another.
Without arrogance or ego,

What the sky and the earth desire
Does the earth also desire.

Therefore, the sage follows the One:
Shapes himself while he is still,
Forms while he is still,
Expansifies while he is still,
Creates while he is still.

Bind you to yourself.
When you are without desire,
All things will be within you.

The human body can be divided up into ten elements
But when put together, it seems to be all one thing.
Yet it remains aloft and keeps on moving,
like the undulations of the wind or the jingle of the tides.
Is this just a case of perception, or is it not?
To perceive, one goes along with it.
To identify with it, one conforms to it.
To like it, one regards it as an equal.
To exist for it, one engages in it.
In life, one's goals are known,
then one can act.
In things, one creates, then that's it.
Is there a more profound simplicity than that?

The pliant (se) can be molded into a myriad shapes, though, like an unripe fruit, the muddy way water in a brook.
Like an unripe fruit, it soon bleeds out of its roots and is discarded.
Like muddy water, it stays deep in the earth and brings up things that never emerge.
By not conceiving of its destiny, it can live in its own way.
Everyone knows that wisdom (soh) is good when what is good is not filled with desires.
That is why the Taoist always maintains his wisdom, and his wisdom always remains his.
Beings do not exist to serve others, so he serves them.
And it is in the more subtle things that he lets them flow,
as if alive in the mother of the universe.

The tao may be divided into ten elements, but it remains each in its separate way. A scholar may divide the tao into ten parts, but it remains each one with its separate part. When the 'great wheel' is the Mother of the world,
The 'great speech' is the form of the world,
The 'great knowledge' is the form of the world,
The 'great recklessness' is the consciousness of the world.
'Great recklessness' is like the Way - it endures,
and its form and motion are preserved.
The Superior Man -
- Leading and following the world,
(Using 'great recklessness'),
Accommodating all forms,
Fully managing the world.
He is like one who conceives the world -
- Visible to and fro,
But remains unmoved by it.
He comes to the world, but does not name it.
It is nameless, but goes on being,
And enjoying being.

When the Great (wheel) is the Mother of the Universe,
The Great (spelling) is the Mother of the Universe.
The Great Thinker is the Mother of the World.
The Great Reckless is the Mother of the World.
Great Recklessness is the mother of the World.
Therefore,
When the Great (Wheel) remains Behind the Great (Spelling),
The Great (Talking) remains Behind the Great (Making).
When the Great (Wheel) remains in the Front of the Great (Talking),
The Great (Ways) remains in the Rear of the Great (Talking).
The Great Being (Great Recklessness) is one of the Valleys of the Universe,
So it is capable of Bearing all things.
Therefore,
A Sage, while He Alone is Uncontent - He manages the Collective Mother and Creates the Cosmos.
And stays Uncontent - He manages the Collective Mother and Creates the World.
He gives birth to the Collective Mother, And does not act as its Mother,
Just as he maintains the Collective Mother without taking action.

How Tao benefits all!
By virtue of teh soul! Teh soul is inexhaustible, it gives all things life, and brings forth all things without ceasing.
It is like the Infinite Dynamo,
That once going to produce, then stopping and returning to nothingness again.
All things go on ad inferni to the birth of Tao,
That Teh soul can only be nurtured and preserved.
For Teh soul to be teh Immortal would require great prudence and selflessness,
And Teh integrity and selflessness would require great piety and selflessness.
Nonsense talk, Teh.
For Teh Teh is nameless and unknown to me,
We call her "the Child".
I call her "the Mother".
And I call her "the Spirit".
For her to be the Spirit is to call her spiritual,
For her to be the Spirit is to call her divinity,
And for her to be divinity is to be one with the Unnamed,
And for her to be the Unnamed is to call for praise and joy.
Thus the Dao guides and benefits without selfishness, and without selfishness is welcomed, without selfishness is held dear, without selfishness is honored, without selfishness is honoured, without selfishness is praised, without selfishness is rejected, without selfishness is loved, without selfishness is desired.

The originator of the universe has Te.
Therefore, All things have an origin.
I am an originator of All things.
I am unknowable, like Tao.
Through me all things are produced.
The universe begins in existence.
I am an ever-born.
I have a beginning.
I am separate.
I have an origin.
I have a nature.
I have a self.
I have existence.
I have the things.
The universe is like an inexhaustible resource.
I have a nature.
I have a self.
I have what is.
I am aware of what is real.
I am aware of what is unreal.
This insight is called Eminent presence.
This insight is called the enigma of simplicity.
This insight is called the Infinity of an infinite universe.
That is why the cosmos exists.
The universe exists through these details.
It
======================================== SAMPLE 1 ========================================
Thus the universe is eternal, and the self is eternal;
and the self is endless.
The self may not be self,
yet the self is self.
The universe is multidimensionally long,
yet the self is not self.
The self is not self,
and so it is not also.
The Tao is eternal, but it does not exist, so no one can live forever.
To experience the Tao is to experience humanity.
To experience humanity is to experience the eternal.
Through the eternal the Eternal will never cease to live.
A humanistic journey cannot begin.
A humanistic person's love for their beloved ones will not end.
They will suffer all the time for loving them.
Therefore, like the sage,
a person of profound selflessness
will be the greatest source of love and devotion for all of humanity.
For too long, one has been loved and loved for the sake of one's own needs.
With non-self, love can become genuine.
One who has lived eternally will never be forgotten.
Therefore, one who loves and loves unconditionally
can be exemplary of love and devotion for all humanity.
The genuine love of the Dao can never fail a person.
The constant love of the Dao never ceases a person.
The perpetual love of the Dao, makes things happen not happen.
The constant love of the Dao, makes things happen, so they happen.
That is why it is said: "Nature is unending and long; The self is unattached, Self contains all in existence; So the self is never-ending; Like Heaven; Exist and endure - From everlasting to everlasting."
It is the enduring and the unending which is one - Tao.
If there is no personal self, there is no personal existence.
If there is no personal existence, there is nothing that can exist.
Therefore a true person lives to live for all humanity.
If there is no personal self, the individual's identity is likely to slip away.
If the individual's identity is lost, the common ancestor will then be lost.
Thus, one can have many (human) lives,
and one's origins can be preserved.
There are many directions in which one can take one's course,
and that which is common to all is the Way of the Way.

Therefore the wise stay in the past,
and the people last.
They are prepared for the time when the earth will be old.
Since the Earth is eternal, and the seasons are everlasting,
They are not set in stone,
and yet are both durable.
Therefore, the sage feels at home in the past, and people last.
He is comfortable in the present,
and the people last.
Because he doesn't dwell on himself,
the people follow.
Because he doesn't seek personal profit,
the people follow.
Because he does not define his position
the people stay.

All phenomena are forms, And have certain relations. The ten thousand things are passive beings, Which have only one subject: Nature. The passive creature is immortal and free from loss, Which has a constant goal.If you seek that goal, you are always alone. You dwell in the past, And the people will leave you.Is it not because you have a fixed goal That you never give up?Therefore, you seek the Tao in the present,And the people will live in the past.Though you prefer the past to the present,The people will stay with you.The wise leader recognizes that The present is his era, And the people will reside here forever. He is content to overlook the future And the people will follow. He abides in the past and follows the people.

All things are parts of a whole. Matter is either a physical vessel (jan) or an intelligent agent (hsin). The willful the manifest them. In the former case the willful has a destiny; in the latter case the manifest destiny is fulfilled. The willful behaves as though she were ignorant of it; for she is learned, which is a skill to be valued. The wise leader considers his followers as his neighbours.
<|endoftext|>
All the things in the world are forms, existing within the realm of matter.
This realm of matter has a relation to All-in-All.
Between things there is a potentiality; and one which lasts.
Of this potentiality, it is known that it is everlasting.
One who knows this, is receptive to All-in-All.
One who is not receptive to All-in-All is lost.
Therefore, he is the leader who is not dominated by his possessions.
Because he does not acquire his possessors, he is the lowest of

The wise are ordinary people,
but I am alone, and therefore they can be my leader.
For there are natural kinds and ordinary things.
The great works of God,

and on this account the mystic is made obscure.
Mysterious is it because I alone am am unique.

In the paradise of Ch'an,The fruit is never in danger,The valley of the Tao is ever full,And there is no necessity for its usefulness. No kind of activity has ever preceded it;So, it is always ahead. We may say that the mind is all right in the Valley,But the heart is like a bellows of empty space,That has been waiting for no one. This experience is of the depth of something profound,The reason the mind always rounds back,The reason the heart must always return. It is because there is nothing to do,That every work must have an end. Therefore, the sage is only content and late,But foremost of all in the Valley,Yet behind he is the very center,And, being the center, can advance.
<|endoftext|>
In an average group of five people, this could have no danger; In a valley filled with ten thousand blossoms,The fruit never spoils and lasts for ever.
Heaven is infinite,And earth is also an infinite amount of space.Everything is existing, yet there is nothing yet that is existing.
The sage is neither attached nor distracted. He is inexhaustible,And nothing escapes him.
He can see beyond himself and yet he has nothing to show for himself.
He can see everything for himself but to have nothing to show for himself.
This is the difference between experience and thinking. To think of yourself as self-important and to have self-importance is to cause self-importance to you.
Both experience and thinking are examples of self-importance.
To give up self-importance is the way of true nature.

Lao tzu puts himself first,
yet he finds himself last.
The wise put themselves last,
yet they find themselves first.
They are indifferent to themselves,
yet they do not rest.
Is it not because they do not live for themselves
that they find themselves fulfilled?
Lao tze says:
The sage puts himself last,
yet finds himself first.
The sage puts himself last,
yet finds himself first.
He is indifferent to himself,
yet finds himself fulfilled.
Is it not because he does not live for himself
that he finds himself fulfilled?
Lao tzu says:
When men put themselves first,
They find themselves late;
When a king puts himself last,
He finds himself late.
Therefore, he who mihit his own success,
He finds his own success;
He who esteems himself last,
Is late;
He who accepts himself,
Is late.
They who put themselves last find themselves first.
Being older than the sun,
The sage lives long.
He is wealthy.
He is wise.
He is full.
He is preserved.
He is lived.
He is lived on.
This is called the water which never dries.
Hesitant to state the common conception,And these four ages being conjoined,Let the Sage yet be first in the world;
He who does not fear the sharp, or the violent,In killing him is just dead.
He who is willing to face himself through death,Is again born.
He who lives by the action of the spirit,Is resplendent.
He who regards himself in obscurity,Is also secure.
He who is not willing to dare confront himself with death,Has got nothing to lose, and is endowed with good looks.
Yielding to life,
The sage stays far behind.
He will stay far behind, he sees death as no peril.
<|endoftext|>
True the way is, but true is not. The Way is but a delusion, It has no governing principle; its pace is long. A great king has no princeling, Nor an army for this nation to master. He will endure all that death with diligence. He rises above, but stays with the Way. Truly, the Way is a delusion. This is how the sage behaves: he uses it, and so is elevated; he does not hold to

So the sage will never lead,
but follows after the ordinary man.
This is an example of the student's own wisdom.
The student follows what is natural,
and so accomplishes things.
And so this is the way to guide people.
If a big, strong person has power and wealth
And is not focused on himself,
Then he has given himself the biggest right.
When the big, strong person has not given himself the big right
He has been at the mercy of the earth, and is doomed.
The intelligent person is unpretentious,
And never says he is clever.
He goes with the flow, and does what he has to do.
Then he gets it done.
Not being involved in external affairs
Allows him to do things himself.
Like the old saying, 'know when to give up...and it happens naturally.'
This is the essence of wisdom.
This is why the world is good to live in.
By not trying to force others to be like this,
One achieves success.
Thus, the wise man's motto is,
"If you give up, your success happens to you."
<|endoftext|>
The sage, if he might be called a Sage, does not live alone. He gives himself, and thus can not be master over the world. Wherefore he is first of all the Sage, always seeking after his own Self. If he does not yet have it, he does not have anything. If he has it, he becomes aware of it, and as he becomes aware he becomes more and more lost. If he does not have it, he is surprised at it, and then he is still puzzled. If he has it, he knows how to hold on to it. He does not change and thus endures. That is why he is the deep man of affairs.
That is why I have the greatest influence in government: my ambition is one motive. If I act only by instinct, I win much. If I hold to the instinctive capacity and formulate my affairs, my existence is not imperiled. My conduct may be honourable or ignoble, but it cannot be of lasting advantage. If the subtle Profound Origin is the origin of all things, the ten thousand things depend upon me as their Principle.

The Sage and the Great Wayr should appear like smooth flowing water;

The Tao is a mysterious substance; It moves thru empty space, Like a vacuum.
It is a mystery, and not a thing in itself. Like gravity, it is flexible and acts like a spring. It acts like gravity in taking form, it takes form and moves.
The universe is a vast vast expanse of space, On the other hand it is a valley of space, Like a valley is. It is clear and deep, It is like the ocean.
The clear, the deep, like the ocean, Is the mysterious essence, Something to be understood. To understand the mystery is to be true.
To put others before oneself, And to be luminous, And to be a traveling insider, And to be elusive, And to be self-descending, Is to be unlimited.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao is a mysterious substance; It is like the deep, nebulous, soundless void. It is the limitless far-off beyond space and time. It has no essence, it is unknowable. It has no image, it is hidden. It is called "the infinity of nothingness." Hence it is the mystery of the Tao, the unknowable. That it has no essence is because it is a long-lost infant. In it there is the Way to the world. If the Tao were not followed by the unwise one, he would never become wise. He would be that unwise one, who could go on forever far from anyone, reaching everywhere without ever leaving the home.
<|endoftext|>
The fivefold way is a mysterious substance.
Like a mysteriously-vanished mouth, it is like the emptiness of the primordial void.
It is the mystery behind the essence of the universe.
It cannot be known.
Therefore, It is an empty empty hole.
Filled with life, it is an infinite distance apart
From all existence.
It may be compared to the empty mouth of a remote antiquity.
It is the gate of the infinite unknown.
<|endoftext|>
The subtle virtue is like a person's mind:
It is always at one with the Unidentified;
And because it has no name, its subtlety cannot be identified
with the Collective Way;
Because it has no name,
it is unique as one within the Collective Way.
We ordinarily understand the Collective Way as such:
When the vast

All human beings are therefore receptive,

The most arrogant man does not regard himself as superior to the rest of the world.
He has nothing to live for and has the ambition to live forever.
He does not value his own life.
He chooses to last by saving all people.
Therefore, he leads them into the same destiny that the Sage leads and the people experience.
He is wise, generous and generous.
He is generous and he is gentle.
He is sincere and sincere is he is genuine.
He is modest and he is free.
He chooses to avoid getting involved with the world.

The universe is eternal.
The earth is one with the Absolute.
The light of the sun shines without end.
Water, streams, and mountain streams flow around,
rippling and mixing, forever and ever.
The universe has given birth to everything.
But it does not live forever.
It never stands on end.
The infinite things have form and function;
the infinite earth is the seedbed of all things.
Without limit, it is Tao.
Love of Tao will abide.
Dignified, it is supreme.
Rent the sacred dust of Heaven and Earth.
How much love, and trust, and compassion,

The void (the Source),
Gets no name
In body;
Grasped by itself,
It is self-perpetual.
It extends to eternity;

It reverts to nothingness.

To it one submits.
To it one deviates.
To it one seizes.
To it one embraces.
To it one favors.
To it one oppresses.

The void (of space) is long-lasting. The space between the heart and the belly (the abode of consciousness), is enduring.
If there are no artificial boundaries, There is no artificial goal.
The mind and the belly are both dwelling places.
Therefore, our mind often stays far away from it.
That is because it is self-confrontational.
By staying away, it loses the view.
But if it is separated, It stays with you.
Since the mind is like a container, You can let it go.
The mind always goes, And we tend to it through our own actions.
The belly always goes, And we tend to it through our own actions

Yes, therefore they become glorified.
The ten thousand things follow, but the sage does not speak or follow.
All these things are not fulfilled, so he never becomes obsoleted.
He thus becomes the model for all others.
All things come, but the sage does not lead.
All things do, but he does not follow.
All things work, and he is not there.
Therefore he is without excellence, and prized for that.
He is worth valuing for that reason.
Lao Tze says, "Sageliness is one thing, but not service is another.
To the one, grace is not sufficient,
to the other, duty is insufficient,
to the third, diligence is insufficient,
to the fourth, prudence, is insufficient,
to the fifth, softness, is insufficient,
to the sixth, vigour, is inadequate,
to the last, vigour, is insufficient,

Grace, therefore, is great.
That which is great is called 'unique.'
Hence it is said to be 'silent.'"

If an intelligent being
were to abide in simplicity and
integrity and to observe the rules of Nature
for all eternity,
then
the earth would be preserved.
If it were preserved, it would not be old.
If it were not preserved,
it would not decay.
If it were not decaying,
it would not die.
Therein lies the mystery of life and death.
The infinite subtlety of Nature is
for its part infinite.
Therefore, it is the light and the shadow that are boundless
and never out of reach.
It is the Tao, the beginning of all creation.
It is the source of all the worlds,
yet its origin is unknown.
Therefore it is the Way, the deepest secret,

The progressive rule of Heaven, the principle of action and voidness, the everlasting law of existence. The DAO and the Laws of Nature. These one deviates in its arising
From not not existing (then) its existence. Not existing is the eternal DAO. The DAO is everlasting. Not existing is life. Thus Life in the beginning was the DAO. And in the Dao: in the life
of man is the DAO. Because he lives he cannot die. Yet he returns to the beginning, and thus to the DAO. All things by the DAO come to life; yet
they return to non-life. No self. No life. Their origin is revealed
in themselves and their actions.
It is the Nameless that rules the eternal; It is the DEPTH and FUTURE character
of Life. And the DAO is the Symbol of Life. In the beginning it was the DAO, and so it can also be called the DEPTH and FUTURE character
of Life. It was the beginning and the Reason
of all things, not, as it were, existing
in itself. This brings to it all truth. If Nature was a man it
was not free of desire. If nature was only a guide man, the whole creation
would pass away

Following Heaven and Earth is like acting as a child. Returning home again is like returning home. Without intentions, Heaven and Earth will return and be happy. Without desires, we are simply happy.
When the things in the world come to know Tao, they want to practice it. When they practice Tao, they never cease.
When a person leaves the outer world, he is called a "breath," and when a person rears children, he is called a "moment." When the words of the words of the Tao appear, they are known as "texts." The Tao comes out of the mouth of the Son. The mouth of the Son is hidden, and its virtue flows towards the goal of true love.
The Way that dwells in nature does not see clearly. It comes home to see. Nature's way is formless and mightier than its form, but it is nevertheless mother of all.

The child returns

The state's way cannot be
The state's way cannot be
The state's way is pure and dauntless

It is the Home of a child
The mother's way is bright and bright

When a man of superior strength does not venture to act on the body, people under him become sensate and helpless. He is thus restrained from any act which he knows is ill-suited for the body. He thus protects the body from confusion and distress. He thus respects the female part of life, and therefore from the death of the body he receives the life of a female.
When men of inferior strength attempt to act on the body, they become aggressive and wanton. They become vulgar, without respect for life. This ignoble and wanton conduct of a man prevents him from being obeyed by the people under him. This is because he acts on the body without the people's knowledge. The wise man therefore acts by means of silence. He acts on the body, and takes care of the body without the knowledge of the body.He intervenes, but intervenes in the foreground, and intervenes in the order, and intervenes in the utmost degree of inaction, yet he acts according to the principle of impartiality.

The Ten Thousand Things are all produced by men.
But the things are produced by themselves.

Thus self-concern (gen-jen) is made manifest.

He becomes self-concerned.
There is no change; no change lasts long.
Everyone will have that which they want,
In this way self-concern produces a high degree of indifference.

On the face of the world, there is nothing like it. It does not depend on the forces of heaven and earth; and it is always without desire. It moves through non-action to reach its goal.
Who acts, indeed is shapeless; Who forgets, indeed becomes whole; Who acts without activity, comes to life; who acts with passion, comes to defeat; who acts, and thus endures; acting without thought, this is clarity. Act without thinking, what is there to think? Act without activity, what is there to perform; Acting without completion, what is there to display; Acting by selflessness, what is there to be?

The ordinary man, when he gets his fill of thinking and then rears his head again for action, has only an instrument for reflection.A great man, who is determined to act, has nothing left to think of, and therefore is a sage.

The ordinary person
Has a lot of goods (though he doesn't want to use them). He'll have them all, but never use them. If he wants to use them, he'll take them to a place where he can use them.
So he acts with great care
While staying put.
When he's done with it, he's ready to go.
He can use these goods

Its functions are hidden,

It acts without guidance,

The Tao is like everything else.
Do not try to use it, and it will do its own thing.
If you use it, then act as if nothing were happening.
The DAO (True Life)

It lives when it is.
It acts,

So why has the Sage neglected to become enlightened? Because he was unaware of the Dao.
So why has he attained enlightenment? Because he is enlightened.
So why does he not manifest his true essence? Because he is unrecognizable.
Therefore, he knows the Dao and strives with the Dao.
So he has abandoned himself.
He is free of his self.
He has become the Sage.
Yet he remains selfless.
The intelligent man is selfless because he acts.
The smart man is selfless because he acts.
The stubborn man has a hard time as he acts.
The wise man will not act at all.
So he will choose not to act at all.

The follower of the Tao is always aware of their need; always aware of their self.
The self-conscious and the self-present know one another, but have different origins.
In secluded contemplation, the self-conscious one returns to itself; from it arise the self.
Therefore the wise man leads by looking inward, for he does not act.
But he does not try to seem wise.
He realizes that he is not wise.
He knows that he is not sophisticated.
Therefore he succeeds in winning over others with simplicity.
The wise leader does not contend with others: he wins over with his simplicity.

Is remade.
This is called "self-acting".
It is on principle that heaven and earth
Shall live for ever;
That is called "self-acting";
One who acts on self-acting
Matters on the ground of his own nature;
This is called "Eternal."

The Tao attained is long enduring, And its essence is complete. Therefore:If the Dao is followed, It stays, and never returns. So:if the Dao is not followed, It becomes aware, and becomes manifest.Inherently the Tao attained is awareness; Inherently it is manifested. In the same way, there is that of being aware, And there is that of becoming manifest.Since these two are one, They may be called opposites and interpenetrations. This is the aspect of opposites and manifestations:It is the aspect of a comprehensive, eternal existence.

The essence of heaven and earth is everlasting.
The life force of the human soul is eternal.
A great mystery is just around the corner.
Stay centered and you'll never be separated.
Stay unsure, and you'll be separated.
Stay in the middle and you'll drift off.
Stay focused, and you'll become pure.
Stay pure, and you'll become manifest.
Hence the great mystery is just beginning.
Stay centered, and you'll be whole.
Stay uncertain, and you'll drift.
Stay centered, and you'll be given your true self.
Stay centered, and you'll be made whole.
Hence the great mystery is manifesting.
Stay centered, and you'll be whole.
Stay unclear, and you'll drift off.
Stay centered, and you'll find your true self.
Stay centered, and you'll be perfect.
This is called Tao's state of subtle integration.

The ancient wise men (Cao) were perfect in their teaching and did not try to be conspicuous.
(I have found that in times past the best ones did not consider themselves glorious, but appeared humble and even dejected.)
(They) became exemplary, but not grandiose,
(not grandiose, not humble).
(They) were not abstracted,
not inflated.
(not self-centered, not self-seeking).
(not self-righteous).
(not tolerant).
(they were not free from self-interest).
(they were not wasteful).
(they had no egocentric drive).
(they had no craving).
When all the world recognizes you as a man of superior character (preaching virtue) (for the purpose of establishing loyalty and faith),
what will you have to defend?
It is natural to take your most cherished things (your body and soul) as the treasures of the family.
And when your body and soul are used up, what should be left to spare for the future?
When a group of wise men (Cao) are united for a sacred sacrifice (to show the value of their community),
what must the sacrificial human being (the sacrificial vessel) of the sacrificial human (the sacrificial vessel) of the uncarved wood still have to offer up?
Therefore, the greatest may be the least,
but the least is the great.

The Taohung Master's capacity for sincerity is unfathomable.
He is aware of the ordinary, ordinary, and ordinary.
There is nothing that is unusual.
If there is anything that is unusual, then it must be so in itself.
Where there is nothing anomalous, then what is anomalous cannot exist.

The sage seems ordinary-looking,

Not fashionable for his merits, he seems troubled and perplexed.

There is something that he does not like.
He seems over-compensated, but seems as if he were sinking below the water.
Only he has so much respect that everyone acts with awe.

The great Tao is all encompassing, everlasting, giving life to all things and drawing forth the multitudes. It is all-pervasive; it gives birth to all beings, without distinction of persons. It nourishes the ten thousand things and brings them into existence. It does so without restraint, and because it does not seek its own existence, and because it does not contend for existence, it can endure for ever.
Therefore the man of the Tao puts his person in the background, as one hardly capable of seeing the Nature, and puts his person at the fore, as one with the greatest potential. When he possesses himself as he might a model of uprightness, he ceases to have this shadowy aspect, and emerges as the bright mirror of things, without flaws, without reproach, without distinctions.
<|endoftext|>
The great Tao is everlasting;
It endures without ceasing.
It endures without concern,
And sustains everything without distinction of status.
It nourishes all things and creates them.
And yet, it does not contend for existence
By taking birth, it does not assert its own existence.
Therefore, the Tao-teh puts his personality behind,
He puts his personality in the foreground;
He puts his personality in the background;
He puts his personality in the foreground;
He puts his personality in the background,
And is not contentious.
As it is said,
"All-pervasive Tao goes forth,
And the whole world endures forever."
Why do the whole world endure?
Because they do not contend.
Because they do not contend,
They endure.
<|endoftext|>
The Master believes in her life. She resides in her life.
She seeks her existence, and is thus free of contention.
But she sees the vital: all existence. She sees the radiance.
To do so is to define her own work.
<|endoftext|>
The great Tao does not wane, and never fails to endure;
For it nourishes not of itself, nor does it rely on its own children:
While all things, whatever they may be, endure forever and ever.
So do the Master
puts herself behind and focuses herself
On the present,
And finally puts herself foremost;
She puts herself behind and focuses herself
On the past,
And finally puts herself foremost

From time to time his mind, his actions and his word are distorted, but these do not impair him. He can also keep them alive by being like a river in flowing.
He is one with all things in Heaven and Earth, and by his action has the world in fear.
Yet he does not dwell in himself, though he may be esteemed as the finest in the world.
He is a man's brother in faith, devotion and social reform, for he nourishes all under heaven.
Though he is not the Master of the world, he leads all things into the Heaven.

When men put their images into the form of substance, the things they follow in its wake will show themselves in the common case. Where the image is not present, the substance prevails; whence proceed the men of old? Yea, because they did not contend with one another for possession of the material world, they shall be able to reign in it. Thus the orthodox person acts for himself, and acts as his image alone; he acts for the world, and acts as his home. In this latter, he shows himself to be just, and in this he carries his laws. Such are only manifestations of action, and to no purpose. His mind is naturally withdrawn, and does not dwell upon it. He remains without desire, and does not become possessed. For this reason he may live long, and accomplish his undertakings. Whenever there is conflict among men, he alone is fit to rule them.

It is the way to learn to see the light within yourself that is so profound and true. That which has no meaning and no use to you. Not a student of Reason will be able to see it's light in you. The light has a purpose but its manifestation is in your face. You do not know why it is so light. It must have some purpose. The light may exist all by itself and be utterly dark, but it can't act in any way. If you cannot have light by yourself it can't be your light. Knowing that light has a purpose, it will always follow its own path. It will never come to you and must be through you. From time to time you are put to your use but this is for the future. You are always at the mercy of Reason. That is the reason the sage is inaudible in his teaching. He is the light to Reason. He is not the light, he is the light which comes forth from Reason

The world's flavor is great. Great taste has neither room for moderation nor fullness. Therefore, when Heaven and Earth, and the myriad creatures rest, their creation is stable. When the world's flavor and nourishment are all taken away, their sustenance is not maintained. Therefore, when the world's flavor and nourishment are taken away, its creation is not maintained. For that reason the world's flavor and nourishment will fade, and the substance of Heaven and Earth will be lost. The world's flavor and nourishment, then, cannot last; it must pass away. That is why the Sage abides by staying behind. To stay behind, he withdraws from time to time.

Great taste leaves no room for tastelessness. The gentle the way of life. The established way is called incomplete, what is incomplete is destroyed. If the Way is incomplete, the host of things will perish. The way is not incomplete, it is nothing but indissoluble matter. If matter is not indissoluble, how can it be enduring? Therefore the Sage does not care about being. When there is no place for him, he remains where he is.

Not in itself, yet the source of all that is.
It dwells in the state of Never-Heaven, while enduring forever.
It dwells in the state of Ever-Heaven, while enduring forever.
Because of Its not-self, It doesn't change.
To know what it is, is to know that all things come from it.
Knowing the origin of all things is to know the origin of the universe.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao (Tao), the Cosmic Law.
Why can't Tao be regarded as a single thing?
Heaven is made of matter.
Man is made of spirit.
The more of the one, the more it will be
The less of the other, the more it will be.
That is why Heaven and Earth, being born of nothingness
are not separated by anything.
So it is that they can exist and act without causing trouble.
They also provide the light for the people.
Since their light comes from nothingness,
it is the light of the whole people.
That is why they are said to be bright.
<|endoftext|>
The Virtuoso scholar recognizes that the Tao is not a single entity.
This cannot be misunderstood.
He knows it exists and that it is active and powerful.
Therefore it endures and exists.
The adept in meditation enters the teaching of Tao.
These are not words. They are not done by doing.
It is by an act of quietness and intuition.
<|endoftext|>
The substance of the universe is eternal
and even the heavens and the earth,
be they anything, they endure forever.
Why cannot they be?
Because they do not arise from existence

I began as a whirlwind, thus arose. Thus, I am. I don't care about fame or wealth or honour or fame. I'm just myself and do what I like.
<|endoftext|>
A whirlwind becomes a thing.A thing cannot be born of wind.A thing born of wind is not constant.A constant thing is forever departing. Therefore,I will not try to be an example for others.I will not try to compete with anyone.I am not restless, though.Trying to be famous is not wise.Trying to compete with anyone is not right.I prefer self-indulgence,If I never compare myself to anybody else,I do not have to pay any attention to other people.
<|endoftext|>
Heaven and earth can be called progenitor of man, but it is only because he was born of wind and air. Therefore, he who seeks to be like heaven and earth will end up being like the wind and air.People cannot be begotten of heaven and earth, because he who becomes begotten of the heavenly and earth will cease to be heaven and earth. The sage man does not strive to make himself beautiful, so his beauty is different from that of others. And thus he should never compete with anyone, or be compelled to compete with anyone.
<|endoftext|>
When Tao is had,He is without willful effort,And, having existed for eons,Has become unmanifest. He who is free from willful effort,Is nevertheless the offspring of Heaven and Earth.Only when he exists, and in presence of Heaven and Earth,Is he free from kamikaze. For kamakaze is [a practice of] a man who contends with others,A man who contends with Heaven and Earth,Is one who only contends with himself. Thus he doesn't desire fame or fortune. He has no desire to interfere with others.
<|endoftext|>
Heaven, Earth and Infinity are like a newborn babe,Forever it lives. How do they live for eons?Because they work.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao - the Absolute
Is born out of the breath of Life;
Is the mother of the myriad things.
When we realize this
We can see the simplicity of the Tao
and realize its power.

The Tao

Lao Tze says:The Tao can do nothing. What does this mean? The action is done, but nothing is left undone. Thus the noiseless Valley is able to be full. The noiseless Mountain is able to be tilled. The action is done, but there is nothing left undone. So the valley can be full and tilled. The noiseless Cave is able to be sealed up.The action is done, but nothing is left undone. Thus the noiseless valley can be full and sealed up.The noiseless outpost can be opened. The noiseless Way is at one with all things. Therefore the sage stays behind and achieves great attainment.Attain it yet to stay behind, and to achieve great attainment, The truly great attainment happens only when one stays behind.
<|endoftext|>
Those who hold firmly to Truth will do nothing.
What it means?
The action will be done, and it will not be undone.
Thus the Valley is able to be full.
The Valley is able to be filled.
The action is able to be done, and it will not be foiled.
Therefore the Valley is able to be filled, and the Cave is able to be shut up.
The action is able to be done, and it will not be foiled.
Therefore the Valley is able to be full, and the Cave is able to be sealed up.
The action is able to be done, and it will not be foiled.
Thus the Valley is able to be full, and the Cave is able to be opened.
The Truth is one with all.
Therefore, one who follows the Way cannot lose their Way,
and so they shall always attain their virtue.

Even if you're a master traveler, do not stop.
And yet it is like that valley where there is plenty
that hasn't been used yet
If you don't stop doing what you're doing
it will not be wasted.
When the valleys are full,
They can also be used
Until they're empty and never used again.
When the valleys are empty,
They can be sealed
Until they're never used again.
When they are never used again,
They can be a place for ceremony
Until they're

The Way goes on everlastingly. The Ever-lasting Way. Why is the Way going on everlastingly? If the physical body is conscious of itself, then it lasts forever. If the divine soul is conscious of itself, then it lasts forever. If I do what I want to do and it continues to move, it is the Way.
<|endoftext|>

The Dao is eternal.Because it is eternal it goes on.Forever and it returns.Because it is eternal it is invisible. Is it really invisible? It is real. That is why it is eternal. Why is it invisible? It is real. That is why it is invisible. Is it really real? It is real. That is why it is invisible. Is it real? It is real. That is why it is real. The sage keeps to himself,And in turn he achieves successes. He keeps to himself,In turn he achieves successes. The sage keeps to himself,And in turn he achieves successes. The sage keeps to himself,In turn he achieves successes. One who takes action accomplishes all.All succeeds.

Existence always acts.Existence is always present.Existence and nothingness mutually endure.Permanence and nonexistence mutually endure. The occurrence and nonexistence of these mutually endure. The profundity and insignificance of both mutually endure. Therefore the sage acts from the heart, and gets things done.To act from the heart, he accomplishes. To do it from the heart, he accomplishes. The wise person tries to do less, and in doing so he accomplishes. The whole world's accomplishments are accomplished by the sages.
<|endoftext|>
The Tao is permanent. It can never be changed. It lasts forever,The way is eternal,And both are invisible. The way is invisible,And both are real. The sage is centered in the present,And he moves through lifeTo accomplish. The sage is centered in the past,And he moves through lifeTo accomplish. The sage is centered in the present,And he moves through lifeTo accomplish. The sage stays behind,And through doing,To realize results. The world works at its own accord.Actions are so fine and important. The world never stops.

The physical world of heavens and earth is eternal; It is enduring, like an infant. The Sage who follows the subtle way of nature will be fulfilled and reach full age; Acting before others, he leads others; Following his natural compassion, he assists others; In following his wisdom, he is able to assist others; In acting rightly, he gains and excels.
<|endoftext|>
The body of Heaven and Earth is ever present, and forever remain from it an infant! It is perennial; as if always residing; it never dies, and forever the life continues. Therefore, the Sage acts in the left and receives. In the right actions he acquires merit; He does not insist, just acts. He has no ambition, and will achieve. In acting in the right way, he does not harm others, for with goodness he attends himself to everyone. Therefore, at the end of the day he may look at himself as a man, a nameless, but eternally acting with right purity.

The Heaven and the Earth are immortal; The potency of the ten-thousand-twofold original virtue is immutable. It is always present, and always dwelling. Is the nature of the Sage (man) always present in the primal (childhood)? He lives the life of the unlimited (natty life). To act virtuously,Is to acquire merit. Not to act virtuouslyIs to dwell with deprivation (indiscernibility). He acts virtuously; And when he acts virtuously,He is in possession of merit.Act virtuously, and not to harm others; In this manner the DAO is fulfilled (as a reward). He acts virtuously,And when he acts virtuously,He is in possession of a response.Act virtuously,And when you act in an exemplary manner,It will not harm others.Without being 'lustful' at the end of the day,It will look to oneself as a complete person.

The virtuous ruler of the land is very long-lived, eternally abundant. Is the Sage so steadfast? He moves to the front yet carries the heavy load;He acts without limitations and merits results; He is prolific, and never stops. He acts virtuously, but does not offend others; He acts without the intention of killing and without ulterior motives. When all this is done, he finishes his task without interruption

Wary of great action, he will endure only for a short time.Being guarded and guarded, he will endure a long time.Firm-hearted in his action, he will endure for ever. To put away passion always means to return to tranquility. To delight only in a loving-kindness, is to return to the uncarved block. To be indifferent about what other people think, is to return to the uncarved block. All too often, these are too ideal, and make one lose touch with life. Therefore, the Sage who forsakes this, turns his back upon fearlessness. To abandon extravagance, goes beyond the limit of what can be endured. He not only forgets himself, he endures. It is in rejecting desires that he reverts to the inner and natural. What is in your own heart, is passed to him and he is preserved. This is what I call Unity, because the inner and the outer, are one. That is what is relative, because relation is relative, because it is relative. Therefore, he who, by the principle of non-assertion, keeps true to his being, returns to the un-assertion which gave him the life of an un-developed child. That is what I call fathomless simplicity, and it is the fundamental principle of the natural law.

In his practice of breathing control, the man of peace and harmony can practice breathing gradually, and then quickly.
He chooses his breath slowly, to let his breath become evenly mixed.
He knows when to calm and when to stir.
He lets his breath accumulate to a certain point and then releases.
He acts without ego and sees his work complete.
When his work is complete, he lets it grow naturally.
Being in the presence of the Tao, the Sage can become the center of Tao.
When the Sage becomes the center of the Tao, Tao flows into him.
Because the Sage doesn't go for his own advantage, everything flows to him.

When traveling in a valley of purity, do not follow empty desires.
Even if things are filled with desire, they will always remain without its enmity.
The reason for this is that all things desire the Tao;
and the Tao is like the road to rest.
If you have not lived a life to the full, you will lose this naturally.
And being empty, you will see the full and fill with joy.
If you are not filled with joy, your body will be dull.
<|endoftext|>
Heavenly people shouldn't seem to practice breath control.
Therefore, just relax and never forget the breath of peace.
They concentrate it only to find they have all the way,
but you know when you've reached the point.
You need not be filled to the brim to be just right.
Being constantly aware of the true nature of the universe, you see the beautiful but hardly notice the ugly.
When you're aware of the beautiful, you open-your mind to the greatest beauty.
When you open-your mind to the greatest beauty, everything begins to flow naturally.
When you open-your mind to the greatest beauty, things start to lead.
When you stop looking for love and contentment you'll find genuine desire.

This is the essence of the Tao.
<|endoftext|>
The silent, the silent is the rule of eternity.
To have eternal life means to follow the Way,
The Tao is the soul of life, and the soul is eternal.
Vague of essence, it leaves no trace.
Harmonized with simplicity, it becomes as natural as water.
The Way, therefore, is of the highest law, Its means the smooth walk of eternal nature.
The Tao is the image of that material which is born of necessity.
The Sage is the middle;
The Sage leaves himself to insure freedom.
The Sage rejects the ordinary and conforms himself to the rare.
The Sage forgets his own principles and will depend upon it.
<|endoftext|>
The Subtle Subtle Subtle is the rule of the universe,
The Way is the essence of life.
Simple, bland, so easy to observe
and lack of waste
It is the next level
Of two different kinds of behaviour
Natural and conditioned,
like two spheres.
The universe may be regarded as
the sky or the earth,
The Way may be regarded as the way that it is.
Both these types of behaviour
are based on the Tao.
So neither of these models
is to be taken for granted.
Therefore, the sage, embracing the Tao,
protects his life and ignores his excess.
Embracing the Tao,
he abandons his excess.
These are the two extremes.
<|endoftext|>
Simple, pliable, the constant, the natural "is" the constant, the relation to the cosmic transcendence is the constant.
Shadowy, discordant, the basis of the countless vistas, and beyond the reach of the ability of consciousness.
Simple, vague, the realm of the eye.
Speaking dimly, the significance is beyond further investigation, limitless, the vision is beyond understanding, the imagoel is beyond the mind.
The universe is dynamic, the world is static, the teacher is never alone, the world is unoccupied, the teacher is in their true self, and effortlessly returns to the original.
The constancy of the universe is rooted in the timeless of the primordial mystery.
The constant is the motion of the essence.
The term dualism is the principle of the alias eternity.
The natures of the spirit are chaos,

If heaven and earth endure for ever,
What is their origin?
Because they do not live for themselves.
Therefore it is the origin of the World and Earth.
By not being-for-self, Heaven and Earth endure.
But wishing, I will not be known.
Being-for-self, I will be known.
To become-for-self, I will be known.
This is the self-understanding of heaven and earth.
They are self-understanding, but there is no desire.
This is self-understanding, and desire is rejected.
It is the Way to eternal self-understanding.

If you want to be old and have no use for yourself you must stop.
If you want to be to the left and have no use for yourself you must stop.
If you want to be to the right and have no use for yourself you must stop.
If you want to be for ever without the desire to be loved by others, you will not be able to be complete.
In order to be able to be complete you must be content to be dull.
The first object of the mind is to know its effects.
The second is to know how to turn that knowledge into actions.
The third is to know how to maintain this awareness.
The self-knowledge of the parts of the mind is called the realm of ignorance.

Dwelling in your home, externally made by virtue,Is nothing apart from the root of all things.Holding without loving, your genuine self will not slip away.Attending by shutting your eyes,You will never see.Enjoying without seeking,You will be ever at one with the source. It is by this that the self of virtuous beings has the ground of existence,And the self of everyone else can be considered as a model.Inward seeing,Hiding,Only the self of virtuous beings remains. From inwardly seeing,Hiding,Only the self of virtuous beings remains. Thus the virtue (th) of virtuous beings is established.Without its being you have left your roots. With its being you have lost your roots. Therefore the self-abiding of the virtuous is a safeguard for the root of all things.

Dao and the Universe are without gain.
In its absence, they can thrive.

So bright is the virtue of Dao that
not even the Wise Person
can hold on to it.
There are Ten Thousand Vast Policies in the Dao,
for the Wise Person to hold on to.
Fasting and having no food are already characteristic of the Virtue of Dao.
This is why the man of the Tao - why not hold fast to the Tao?
But, it will never be enough.
Yield and retire.
If you cultivate this way,
everything will come to you.
If the Way is always absent from your sight,
Your virtue will not shine bright.
When you see the Way as one of emptiness,
That alone will be enough to lead you.
<|endoftext|>
The Dao is very dark and has been known only by the few.
Tao is never absent, and yet it is always present.
An opening in the head is rarely filled with sleep.
Although these two things are in full force,
the Sage is not deceived by them,
For Tao does not compel action and yet it is always acting.
It takes the desires out of the seeker,
and helps the things reach the end of their lives.
The sage's choice of actions has no wish to be extreme.
The day he has not worked his will,
And his eyes have not been muddled,
He will act for himself.
And if he has no will to act,
He has the power of no action,
Even though the entire world should follow him in his greatness.
The DAO and the UNIVERSE cannot be worked out,
Nor can the Sage work his will.
Those who do not work, and cannot be worked,
are contrary to the Way and the Cosmos.
Therefore the Sage's choice is clear and clear,
And he returns to no-action.
Where the Tao is, no one can see it;
It is therefore an isolated and quiescent position.
For there is no aim, no desire,
No desire without an aim,
Yet only a end to oneself.
The Tao and the Cosmos are like this
Wherewith they work on and those who refuse this do not:
The more they flourish, the less they possess
Whereas the parts of the Way and the Cosmos are

All beings live as he does, and he does not claim to be their equal, but equal with them.
This means that, while he himself seeks his own self-end, the others will seek the same to see his own end;
they will not regard him as their equal, but equal with them.
This implies that the Dao leader does not claim authority, and indeed all will rightly regard him as the Son of Heaven and Earth.
This is because the true nature of the Dao is self-contemplation:
To act by ignoring self, self will be acted upon.
But to act by respecting self, self will be acted upon.
Acting, respecting, acting, and letting alone, self will be acted upon.
There is a way to achieve what needs to be achieved:
To act as though nothing had happened,
And, indeed, nothing had happened.
To act as though he had no need for action,
And, indeed, no need was required.
To act as though he were not taking action,
And, indeed, he would not have been able to do it.
The Tao does not claim to be grand;
Rather, it is rather small.
It is like the eternal void:
It endures for ever,
And it is where you must know the end.

Nature's primordial form

So without pretension

As the Tao is

so without a beginning
I am able to look
at all things

The Tao is not

By self-restraint I see

This is not recognition

The Tao alone can

If we are able to use the Unity,
it may serve us as a model for all life on earth.

The origin of creation is Tao.
The basis of all things is the manifestation of Tao.
Thus,
If I am free of desire to identify with Tao,
I am able to observe the world of man.
I also don't seek to be strong enough to lead
Because I have nothing to compare with Tao.

The Tao is like the beginning of heaven and earth.
If Heaven and Earth can live without striving,
they become the source of the universe.
If they become passive, they cease to be the source of the universe.
Therefore:
Heaven and Earth are greatly confused and have no existence.
They only reproduce themselves: by this means they gradually return to their original states.

Being the end of existence - with no resistance or return - the 10 thousand things can live.

Thus, you cannot always do good; The only end of doing goodIs not to act at all. Therefore, do good, only to do it.If you do good, it is not done,And if you do good, it is not done,It is your self-sacrifice which provides for it.
Therefore, to be good is to self-sacrifice.
To be content with the part which you get is to endure to the end.

A good deed is done not to attain a goal,But only to accomplish. To act without ulterior motive,Is to be ruled by ulterior motive. To do good acts without ulterior motiveIs to be ruled by ulterior motive. To do good means acting without ulterior motive; To do good means not acting; To do good means nothingness; To do good means not doing; To do good means nothingness. Therefore the wise man acts for the purpose of good actionAnd fulfills his other self. This occurs through self-reflex.To be truly good is to be selfless. Therefore the sage lives by acting and not acting,And acting with the purpose of good,And not acting with the purpose of bad.

A good deed does not justify itself.A good deed is done for an ulterior motive.A good deed must be done in order to gain true greatness.A bad deed is done to win the glory of one who is great.A bad deed will bring about a miracle.A good action always returns again to no action.A good action is also an act of virtue.A bad action has no virtue. The wise man treats all things as a good and acts no harm,All things as he does not harm them.He may protect them all from harm.He is content to rest satisfied with the good fortune. He does not contend for the good fortune. Therefore he treats everything as something good

The mind of a simple person is like the matrix in the dark room. The mind of an inferior person is like being trapped in what is more or less horrible existence. The mind of a peaceful person is like the correct knowledge. The mind of the master is like his own satisfaction. For the mind of a leader, it is only him. For a time hold to the eternity of the universe,And then you will find the world without any cause for alarm. You will find the universe without any enemies. When we win battle with enemies and create chaos,The world can be saved,By just shutting its eyes to the evil. How could the evil exist in the world,And in order to accomplish things,We separate ourselves from the world? The only way to view the world Is to regard it as eternity. If one could see the infinity of the world,You would not see its end.
<|endoftext|>
For a while reject the world-Tao and there will be a world without any cause for worry. The world without enemies would thereby be saved. The realm without causes for worry would thus last.If we can view the universe, as the All-pervasive,
The All-pervasive will not be separated from the All-pervasive.
Therefore, enlightened people regard themselves as last,And in spite of themselves they last.In spite of themselves they last.If they were to regard themselves as foreign,
How would they regard the world as they themselves? Therefore, the ultimate awareness (k'i) of the enlightened
Is, to do all this work,And in the course of doing one's work,I separate myself from it.

Have you, in the beginning, rejected the ten-thousand-alle ways? When you do not know the ways, its beginning will appear to you to be unknown. When you know the ways, you know its end, but not the end. When you are separated from the world and put behind it, its foundation is there. For you do not regard yourself as illustrious, but consider yourself only inferior. When you are nothing, there is not a person of your own.And when you identify yourself with the world, the world is no place for you. When you have placed yourself far behind, you will be once again prominent. When you are without-remotely the world, there is nothing behind which you cannot escape.

Why go back to the Tao? Lose the Tao and you will have things for your life to want. Have things for your life, and you will not wish to live them.Having things, they will not wish to be, so there is nothing you can do to end this. Therefore, being a great man

Lao Tze says, "The Heaven and the Earth exist for each other, yet it does not exist for themselves. The reason it exists is because of its being not-self.Therefore, a man of good character acts before he acts. A man of bad character acts after he acts. Both act on the principle of good.
The reason why I act is because I do not have self-interest. Therefore, I do not pursue self-interest.
<|endoftext|>
"Nature has immortality, but does not die. Nature is eternal, but does not die. Earth and sky can be eternal, but do not die. Therefore they can be eternal and eternal."Therefore a man who does not wish to die takes action before it is forced upon him. A man who wishes to die takes action after it has occurred. One takes action before it is forced upon him, and the other takes action after it has occurred. One takes action before it is forced upon, and the other takes action after it has occurred. He takes action first, and the other takes action late. There is no joy in taking action first and expecting no other result.

The Tao is eternal, it cannot be changed. The DAO is eternal, it cannot be reduced to anything. Tao is like a dao; it is impermanent, unable to go on forever. The DAO is like a dynamic physical entity; it is still, able to change.

Nature can never be eliminated; its utility is everlasting. The Way can never be blunted; it exists forever. The Earth can never be extinguished; its utility is constant. The Way can never be improved upon; its utility is eternal. The Tao is in the natural process of Nature, but always without intention. It is always in use. Therefore, the good can avoid actions, and the bad can avoid defects. In this way the good value the results of inaction, but not desiring to get their outcome. They value actions first, whereas other people value things without desiring anything.Other people value results already done, but will not feel the need to complete them. While choosing to do something first, others prefer to wait for results. In this way the good get what they want, while the bad get their wish.Neither the good nor the bad feel joy in what they do, as their purpose is quite natural. The

The whole universe is not bound by space. Because it has no space, it has no boundaries.
Neither the Heaven nor the Earth could exist in another way, because they can't be created or exist.
Therefore, they exist with supreme simplicity.
The most enlightened person will remain indifferent, and others will flock to him; because he is unmoved, his words can't be hollowed.
The most enlightened person does not try to justify himself, and others follow the example.
The most enlightened person keeps to his own principles, yet others flock to him.
He follows his own character, and others flock to him.
Being without self-interest, he is faithful to others.
What is next? This
The space of all existence
Is not lost
And not bound by space
And cannot be surveyed
And cannot be ruled

Therefore it is without self-importance
And is therefore self-sufficient
And so does not pursue self-interests
It is therefore self-dependent
And thus does not pursue self-interests
Does not seek to triumph
But follows and accomplishes
The way of the heart is to remain unperturbed by events,
And to be yet another unto the point.
To be yet another among the followers.
If there are many followers,
Let him yield unto them.
If there are many actions,
Let him stay where he is.
If there are many views,
Let him follow the light.
The sage, one may be,
Becomes the leader of the followers.
One who is leader of the followers,
Can be one among many followers.
The wise man does not argue with others.
He is the one who needs no arguments.
The time-tested way of man,
Is not the most correct one.
Therefore, it is the wise man's secret.
It is not the way to him.
It is the real Way.

Nothing has an end to it.
The earth itself is immortal.
The sky is also immortal.
If the heavens were not immortal,
then neither would the earth.
Eternally, the universe is without end.
If one did not act according to one's nature,
they would become lost and without form.
When one becomes lost, one cannot control fate.
Therefore, the greatest is the last.
That is the bottom of everything.

To rise above is to be seen to have existed, To rise below is to be seen to have disappeared.
Thus, the sage identifies opposites, and so remains in the unchanging opposites. He identifies rectangles, and so remains in rectangles that are distinct. He identifies angles, and so remains in angles that are distinct. This is the process of the sage's duality, his limitation. This process makes a wise man one with nature.
Yet, having been identified with the ordinary, he appears to be in touch with the invisible, With the outer world, he appears to be in touch with the inner. He remains in himself, and so appears to be of the world, Being one with the natural, he appears to be of the universal. Since he is one with nature, he manifests himself in the least. He is one with the hidden, and therefore in his turn appears hidden. Yet, having been identified with the common, he appears to be of the outer world. Being one with nature, he appears to be of the inner world. Being one with nature, he appears to be of the universal. Because he is one with the world, he remains undistinguished. In passing away, he succeeds in coming to the fore.
Thus, in being first, he discards the earlier, In being separate, he discards the lesser. In acting out in union with others, he discards distinction. In acting out in union with the common, he discards difference. In acting out in union with nature, he discards unity. In acting out in the common, he discards distinction. In acting out in the world, he discards individuality.

To rise above is to be seen to have existed. To descend below is to be seen to have vanished. Therefore the sage identifies opposites, and thus remains in non-existence.Identifies rectangles, and thus remains in non-differentiation.Identifies angles, and thus remains in non-difference.Thus the sage is one with non-existence,Thus he appears non-existent,Such is the Sage's unity.Such is the sage's non-existence.Such is the sage

As The Tao is, so is the Earth, and all things that go with It, Are immortal. If you should cause them to die, All things would die. Earth can be brought down But it cannot be transformed. Inventing, yet it cannot be perfected. If You desire to change the Earth, You must first destroy It.

Why is the sky great? Because it is older than the earth. If you take away the earth, heaven would be forgotten. The Way is eternal. What is left after losing something cannot be destroyed. If you desire to die, you must first kill.

The sky is great because of the ebb and flow of the Earth. If you take it away, all things will perish. The Tao is great because it is eternal. If you create something out of nothing, then you destroy everything.
<|endoftext|>
The Heaven is great because it is older than the Earth. If you take away the Earth, it will cease to be Heaven.
The Tao is great because it was given first. If something was given, it must be destroyed. If you wish to change something, it must first be destroyed.

It is the Tao which is great. Therefore, the Earth is great. If things are destroyed, they cease to be.Therefore, to value Tao means to be great. That is why the Earth is great.
If it were not for the Earth, it would be consumed. Therefore, to value Tao means to be great. To value the Earth means to be great.
Therefore, when the Earth is destroyed, it is replaced by Heaven.
<|endoftext|>
The Way is great, because of the cyclic nature of the Tao. If the land is taken from, All will perish. The true Way is great, because everything is created out of nothing. If everything is destroyed, All things perish. So if the True Way is to be valued, Values must be given.

The sky is great because it's older than the earth. Earth is great because it's selfless. If things are destroyed, they destroy themselves. If I want to change myself, I must destroy.

The sky is great because the earth is older than the sun. The sun is great because he has energy of his own. If I want to be whole, I must destroy myself.

The way which is great in its perfection is not perfect by itself. The true way is similar

Heaven and Earth can be regarded as being formless and indistinguishable;the ten thousand things can be regarded as existing by themselves;they are formless beings. Therefore they can be the existing ones:Therefore they can be the existing ones. Therefore in order to overcome the strength of opposites,The superior Way puts itself first.puts itself first it is self-emptying:puts itself self-emptying it is no counterforce.

When a wise leader knows how to moderate, he becomes strong, a being that is in conformity with everything, in accordance with heaven and earth, without desire. When a wisest ruler is given credit for something, he becomes big, like an idiot. He remains, and the world is made wise. It is what you would want, if you are not trying. It is what your heart wants, if you have desires. If you are able to identify with everyone, then you will be in harmony with everything.

When the head is constantly tempered, it will gain strength; And the king in a state of equilibrium will become a master; And creatures will rise like their lot of birth; And a man, having fulfilled the job of supreme governor,Will tend to follow the example of moderation,And the world will shine with progress. If the master's preferences remain intact,And the king's own preferences will lose,And the creatures will flourish for the Lord's sake,He who shall accept the nature of this world,Without fear will uphold the nature of his own nature.

When the ruler's interests are clearly decided, he loses their importance. When princes become master, they lose their nobility. As for a dying thing, a servant is thought worthy, but his merit belongs to the master.Possessed, they spring up like newborn children. To be lord over the world is to be modest; And whoever is determined to rule rightly loses this principle.

That is why they are illustrious.

The Way is an infinite stream, therefore constantly within. The world is endless, so constantly without. Therefore without the Way, the world would be incomplete; and without the world, the universe would be complete. Therefore, intelligent men put themselves last, and yet they are first; put themselves before; put themselves ahead; and yet they are last. By acting to the exclusion of their proper purposes, and acting to the exclusion of their common advantage, they lose the common advantage, and lose their common advantage.
This is why these gifted men are eminent; because they appear without, they lose their common; because they appear in the world, they lose their common. Therefore, the Sage, because he places himself last, loses his common; and because he places himself first, loses his common.
The sage does not disdain his common; he does not disdain his common; and because he is seemingly not common, he hardly fails to fail to be a master in all.
This is why the noble are distinguished by not being acclaimed; by not being distinguished by not being disgraced.
This is why the illustrious are honoured by not being profiled, and by not being profiled, by being unworthy, or in any way lacking in honour.
For this reason they stand out; because they are ever forgotten, or disgraced, or disgraced, they cannot fail to be outstanding, and never forget, or disgraced, and never disgraced.
This is why the sage acts with full purpose and purpose alone, and does not presume to the success of others.
This is why the sage achieves and does not fail.

The Tao is unlimited, and its penetration is continuous. The world is void, and its penetration is invariable. Therefore, the One could be infinite, and the world could be invariable. For that reason, the Sage is always first, and nothing is left undone. He does not dwell in wealth, and therefore not fails. To achieve, to live, to be rare is to preserve. Those who act with the whole heart, do not presume to pursue, or to fail. This is the Tao of the sage. He does not live extravagantly, and because he does not live extravagantly, his life is without extravagance, and it is without failure.

Its return is the renewal of the infinite. Therefore, he who is rooted out of his root is rooted out of his right. He who is rooted out of his right is rooted out of his left. This is why men treasure their greatness, but they neglect their self-interest, and that is why they attain greatness.

"The Great River and Great Sea": They are Immortal. They are Eternal. They cannot be stopped. They can never go back to the First. Therefore, one is naturally more important than another. One is naturally better off than another. One is naturally more important than others. This is why they try to achieve greatness.
