- In 2008, Discovery Channel ran an ad featuring their shows to the tune of the campfire tune "I Love the World". During the refrain ("boom-de-yah-da, boom-de-yah-da"), the guy from Future Weapons blows up a building with a grenade launcher on cue with the first syllable.
- Awesome Barbeque. BOOM Awesome pool. BOOM
- Old Spice's devastatingexplosions.com in which The Man Your Man Could Smell Like presses a button and.... well, take a guess.
- Segata Sanshiro is so awesome that when he needs to advertise Bomberman, he just judo flips this guy so hard that he explodes. Twice.
- Johnsonville Brats had this ad that begins with a crew member talking about his ad which begins with a car chase and ends with a bang.I don't know how it ends. Maybe an explosion. (boom)
- In 1999, the stock trading company E*TRADE had a TV commercial featuring a trailer for the upcoming ("this Christmas") non-existent film Blow'd Up, which is exactly what it sounds like. Features Don LaFontaine narrating the trailer, Anna Nicole Smith as the protagonist, and George Takei as the villain (and who easily qualifies for Ham and Cheese given the rest of the scenes we see). As the trailer ends, the commercial cuts to a guy selling all his stock in TriMount Studios (evidently an informed decision, given that the movie's touted as being a Michael Harbor film with a $200 million budget).
- In 1980, Jack in the Box retired the company mascot Jack by blowing him up in a commercial. The character returned in 1994 in the "Jack's Back" ad, in which he "took over" the company by blowing up the boardroom.
