- HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey, straight out of the Discovery 1.
- Nyro Guillaume from the audio adventure podcast, The Account.
- Fake Band Old Gods of Asgard from Alan Wake have a Twitter account.
- The Annoying Orange: Orange's Twitter is one of the few examples on this page that's actually verified.
- Avatar: The Last Airbender: Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Suki, Zuko, Iroh, Mai, Ty Lee, Jeong Jeong, and King Bumi all have accounts.
- Atomic Robo: DR. DINOSAUR IS HERE TO PROVE REPTILIAN SUPERIORITY TO YOU PATHETIC MAMMALS!
- Lewis Lovhaug of Atop the Fourth Wall not only has an account as himself, but also 90's Kid, Harvey Finevoice, and Boffo the Clown.
- The Autobiography of Jane Eyre is a webseries and most characters tweet. It's part of their universe and created by the authors.
- Jane Eyre is Hopeless with Tech and has issues using her Twitter account. "What do you mean only 140 characters?" Hash-tags confuse her also.
- Grace Poole runs Thornfield Exports Twitter. Her tweets are mostly about the awesomeness that is aluminium.
- Adele Rochester has Twitter and tweets mostly random nerdy trivia and scholarly jokes.
- Mr Rochester's dog Pilot tweets at Pilot's thoughts.
- Miss Blanche Ingram tweets at Royal Blanche.
- Kosh from Babylon 5, featuring a hilarious Alternative Character Interpretation of him as a Not So Above It All slacker.
- Batman from the Batman franchise.
- Killer Diller from Beetle Bailey has a fanmade one that is rife with Alternative Character Interpretation. Warning: Many tweets are NSFW.
- Ben Tennyson from Ben 10. You can contact the teenaged superhero right on Twitter. He responds to tweets too and his sidekick Kevin has an account as well.
- BoJack Horseman has his own, certified, in-character Twitter.
- Richard Castle of well, Castle.
- Lucas from Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly has one here, which is managed by the main Twitter account of the game. His username is the same one on his Tomodachill profile.
- Aleksandr and Sergei from the Compare the Meerkat adverts.
- Coraline Jones from Coraline
- Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds has one, as seen here
- Jay Sherman from The Critic.
- The First Horseman of the Apocalypse, Death
- The Defenders (2017): The official Twitter account for Jessica Jones (2015) seems to be operated by the title character herself, with all the Deadpan Snarker tendencies that would entail. It's hilarious when Jessica engages in Snark-to-Snark Combat with the official Twitter accounts for Daredevil (2015), Iron Fist (2017) and Luke Cage (2016).
- Diablo from game series of the same name, the Lord of Terror himself.
- T. Rex from Dinosaur Comics has a robot that replies to tweets sent to it with quotes from the strip.
- Doctor Who:
- The Tenth Doctor
- The First Doctor
- Lampshaded in the Daleks' Twitter page, in which they notice multiple Doctors on Twitter.
- Dalek Thay, Dalek Caan, Dalek Sec, Dalek Ironside, and Hipster Dalek.
- Monika from Doki Doki Literature Club! has an official account that she even mentions in-game, until it was victim to a fraudulent DMCA claim in November 2019, but has since returned. There are unofficial roleplay accounts for the other characters as well.
- Roland Hedley from Doonesbury
- See also the Troper Tales "The Tale Of Gaven Morren". Trudeau has satirised the site in the comic itself.
- The main cast of Dream Festival! have official Twitter accounts: Kanade, Shin, Junya, Itsuki, Chizuru, Keigo, and Yuto.
- Dresden Codak's Kim Ross.
- There's one for Harry Dresden and a few other cast members of The Dresden Files.
- Dungeons & Dragons: One of the more notorious regulars on the Wizards of the Coast forums posted in-character as fiendish crime lord Shemeshka the Marauder from the Planescape setting. After the forums closed she moved to Twitter (old account, current profile).
- Elfen High 2 has some for Jojo, Gaia, Calliel and Crowley himself.
- S.A.R.A.H. from Eureka
- The important NPC characters (mostly the Masters) of Fallen London have in-character Twitter accounts which occasionally interact.
- The crew on Serenity from Firefly.
- F is for Family:
- Foreign Policy magazine put together a list of their top ten best fake Twitter feeds on global politics, including Kim Jong Un and the gin-loving Queen Elizabeth II.
- Othar Tryggvassen (Gentleman Adventurer!) of Girl Genius
- There's a Brazilian one for God. Also a Chilean one .
- Brazil has the Grim Reaper.
- There's the cast of Hanna Is Not a Boy's Name.
- Harry Potter:
- Dumbledore
- Voldemort and Harry too.
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Arthur Dent, Ford Prefect, Zaphod Beeblebrox and Marvin have several. You can tell which are official ones (set up by The BBC) by which have friended Slartibartfast and Trillian, each of whom only have one account.
- Homestar Runner and Strong Bad from Homestar Runner.
- The idols from The Idolmaster is a great example; the official accounts tweets in Japanese. There's a growing amount of the roleplayed English ones, however. For 765, we have Haruka, Chihaya, Miki, Yayoi, Yukiho, Makoto, Iori, Ami and Mami, Azusa, Takane, and Hibiki plus Kotori, Ritsuko, & The Producer. For Jupiter, we have Touma and Hokuto. There are even several for characters of the Cinderella Girls social-MMO game.
- Everyone is consolidated in Kotori's lists.
- The Incredible Hulk: There are multiple Hulks, such as GrammarHulk, Law School Hulk, and even Drunk Hulk. They're all aware of each other and have a sort of Internet community. They speak in ALL CAPS and have a pledge to remain "Hulknomynous."
- Even Jesus has one. He's upset that Twitter won't authenticate his account."If you don’t follow Jesus in real life, the least you can do is follow me on Twitter."
- Jiz of the web series of the same name
- Johnny the Homicidal Maniac from the comic book of the same name.
- Not so much fictional as long dead: Dr. Samuel Johnson. Has Antiquated Linguistics.
- As part of the lead-up to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Claire and Owen have official accounts, with Claire using hers to promote her efforts to save Isla Nublar's dinosaurs
- Any Kamen Rider or Super Sentai character. Including a shared account for every single Kurokage Trooper and Kamen Rider V3's bike.
- The official Kirby Twitter account is seemingly run by a group of Waddle Dees known as Channel PPP though occasionally other characters, such as the Three Mage Sisters and Elfilin will seemingly commandeer the account.
- PHELPS BADGE 1247 from L.A. Noire.
- Ellis, Zoey, and Nick from Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2.
- The cast from Love Live!.
- The cafe LycoReco of Lycoris Recoil has a Twitter account run by its staff in the show.
- All of the idols from Pythagoras Productions, especially Marginal #4, have their own twitter accounts. The fact that they have one is even acknowledged in-universe, as it's one of the things Atom Kitahara likes to frequent.
- Anyone From Mass Effect.
- Mikoto Mikoshiba from Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. Had regular updates for about a month in 2017 then was brought back in 2020 for the Ten Year Anniversary of the series as the focal point for an ARG set in an Alternate Universe where the four main boys were employees at Nozaki's detective agency.
- Johnny Cage, from Mortal Kombat.
- My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic has the Twitterponies, an entire network of pony accounts, all usually in character.
- Wonderella from The Non-Adventures of Wonderella.
- Nuclear Throne's Y.V. #verifyvenuz
- The bespectacled, killer braces-wearing Alter Ego of Katy Perry used in her video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)", Kathy Beth Terry, appears to have one, too.
- Persona:
- The Protagonist of Persona 3.
- The cast of Persona 4. Actually tweeted in real time during the period the game took place.
- Person of Interest has one by Bear. That's right, Reese's dog. Since Bear only takes commands in Dutch, the tweets are all in Dutch, but we've got translations for some of them (skip down to the Miscellaneous folder).
- Pokémon characters gets a lot of these. There are literally hundreds of twitter accounts from specific Pokemon to obscure characters that may have gotten one or more lines. They even have a wiki.
- The entire cast of Portal 2 have them: Chell, GLaDOS, Wheatley, Cave Johnson, Space Core, Adventure Core, Fact Core, the Announcer, Rattman, Caroline, the crap turrets (and Frankenturrets...)
- Puella Magi Madoka Magica:
- Nearly the entire named cast: Kaname Madoka, Miki Sayaka, Tomoe Mami, Sakura Kyouko, Akemi Homura, Kyubey, Shizuki Hitomi, and Ensemble Dark Horse Charlotte.
- Then there's the infamous sayakacorpse bot (presumably named because she dies in the anime), which tweets nothing but blank space. Unless it's replying to someone, in which case it replies with blank space.
- All the major characters in Questionable Content.
- Old Hoss Radbourn is a deceased, non-fictional persona. He was a major league pitcher in the 1880s and tweets in the speech patterns of his day.
- There's Old Hoss' wife who sometimes agrees with what he says, sometimes argues with him and sometimes expresses her own opinion."You should have seen the uproar that occurred when we caught J. Davis and his hidden stash of lascivious daguerreotypes."
- Rivers of London: Peter Grant has his here.
- Between 2010 and 2014, Sanrio created four official character blogs for their beloved characters. Where each character would go through their daily lives and would sometimes ask questions to their fans. Unfortunately, all of the tweets are in Japanese, but the pictures are very cute to look at.

- Almost every Scott Pilgrim character has one. For starters, the League of Evil Exes: Matthew Patel, Lucas Lee, Todd Ingram, Roxy Richter, The Katayanagi Twins, and Gideon. Not to mention Scott himself.
- The cast of Sesame Street.
- The Simpsons:
- Star Trek: The Next Generation, almost all of the characters have one, even Q, but the Account most convincing from the main cast is Worf. But then again.. This gem came from Q:"Went for a brief walk on earth, found a rock, turned it into Godzilla, the reactions were priceless. The best part? It was in Tokyo."

- You know how every Star Wars character with a second of screentime has a name and detailed backstory? They also have a Twitter account. General Veers, for example.
- The non-canon, but still hilarious Emo Kylo Ren
- Peridot from Steven Universe has a Twitter here.
- Grimbo from Vs Sonic.exe once had a Twitter here (which actually is his creator Cherribun's old Twitter account, as she granted him permission to use it). It has since been deleted on April 23, 2023.
- Bowser from Super Mario Bros. wants people to join his awesome Kingdom!
- The Sword Art Online cast as well.
- Malcolm Tucker and Jamie MacDonald from The Thick of It.
- Transformers "Shattered Glass":
- Ravage. An inversion of G1 Ravage's stealth role, he frequently talks in Leet Lingo.
- There's also an in-universe version of Twitter in both Shattered Glass and Animated, in the form of "Yatter".
- Every character in The West Wing, up to and including Gail (CJ's goldfish). Josh's dimples also have their own page.
- There's ones for Jim Hacker, Sir Humphrey Appleby and Bernard Wooley from Yes, Minister.
- Possibly everyone from YuruYuri. Including a mini Mirakurun show.
